    Hi,
Try powering down the printer with the off button.
If this doesn't work, unplug the printer for 30 seconds before plugging it in again.

  • IPad2, Macbook air and iPhone 4S doesnt find/recognize HP photosmart 5510 printer ?

Why MacBook Air, iPad2 and iPhone 4S doesn't find / recognize anymore HP photosmart 5510 printer ?

I would suggest starting with your MacBook Air.
The Photosmart 5510 is listed as supported by Apple.  So I suggest setting it up under your MacBook Air as described in this Mac Print 101 article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670
Then hopefully your iOS devices will see it on AirPrint.

  • Photosmart c4580 printing problems windows 7

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. My HP Photosmart C4580 prints 70% of the document correctly and the other 30% only prints the very top third of the characters on that line.  Any idea for the fix when the printer is only printing what appears to be the "first pass" of the print-head for any given line in a document?

    Hi there,
To make sure there are no software problems causing this try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:
    http://goo.gl/Ujpib
It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on.
    Best of Luck!

  • HP Photosmart 5510 printer .

Is the sign in button not working?   Trying to sign up and enter printer code

    Hello Jeanne_J47,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your Photosmart 5510 is not connected wireless anymore. I will do my best to assist you! Is the wireless blue light blinking on your printer? If so, please use the wireless setup wizard to setup the wireless: (This information is stated here.)
On the control panel, touch the Right Arrow ( ), and then touch the Wireless icon ( ).
    Touch Wireless Setup Wizard .
The Wireless Setup Wizard searches for networks, and then displays them in a list.
Touch the name of your network.
Touch Enter New Network Name .
Enter your network name using the product control panel, and then touch Done .
Next, I would recommend following this entire HP document on Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
    Have a great night!

  • Photosmart 5510 printer model #B111A when using touchscreen apps i cannot connect to the server

Photosmart 5510 all-in-one printer,  model #B111A, windows XP----i can print from the computer, but when i try to use the apps on the touchscreen i get a message error "cannot connect to the computer"

The steps below typically resolve the issue you’re experiencing:
    1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your router (and modem, if separate from the router).
    3. Wait 20 seconds, then plug the router (and modem, if applicable) back in.
    4. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the printer back in and power it on.
    5. Press the ePrint button on the printer's front panel, and it should try to connect to Web Services again.
Those steps usually resolve the issue, but if it still occurs you can try setting static network info for the printer (which sometimes helps to stabilize the printer's ability to get outside of your network, to the internet):
    1.  Press the wireless icon at the top of the printer's screen and note the IP address.
    2.  Enter the IP address into the address bar of a web browser on a computer and press enter or click the browser's go button.
    3.  The printer status page should be opened.  Click on Network at the top.
    4.  Click on Networking on the left.
    5.  Select Proxy Settings.
Note:  If you are prompted for a redirect, select OK.  If you receive a certificate warning, select the option that lets you continue anyway.
If you receive a Internal System Error, refresh the page until it loads the proxy settings.
    6.  Verify that all fields are blank.  If they are not, clear them and make sure the Proxy Server requires authentication is unchecked and click apply.  You should get a success message.
    7.  Click on Network Address (IP) on the left.
Note:  If you only see IP Address Configuration and DNS Address Configuration with a yellow note, refresh the page until it loads completely.
    8.  Leave the IP Address Configuration as Automatic IP.
    9.  Change DNS Address Configuration to Manual DNS server.
    10.  Enter 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Manual Alternate DNS Server.
    11.  Click Apply and you should get a success message.
    12.  Power off the printer for 30 seconds and then turn it back on to force the new settings to take effect.

  • I'm having trouble installing my hp photosmart 5510 printer to my laptop.

My husband and I recently bought an HP photosmart 5510 series printer. We were able to install it on his laptop but not on mine. I've tried installing it over and over and even troubleshooting it but I still get nothing. I'm not sure what I need to do in order to install it onto my laptop since I can't use the software it came with because my laptop doesn't have a cd drive in it. Can anyone help me out?

I don't have Lion, but Image Capture works for my HP PhotoSmart All-in-one.
Often scanning from the scanner is only supported for Windows, not Mac's
VueScan would probably also work, there is a free trial.

  • Photosmart 7850 Printing Problem

My Photosmart 7850 printer - that I dearly love, and need for work - is giving me the flashing red light, and has a small squre looking icon in the error box. I tried the troubleshooting options to no avail. Is it toast? This is the 2nd time this has occured in 2 weeks. The first time, it corrected by unplugging the printer and rebooting the computer (Wndows XP os, btw), but that hasn't worked this time out.

Problem was due to a bad black ink cartridge.

  • Photosmart 7520 print problem

Printer will either not print from my Mac computer at all or prints very slowly and only partial job.  Owned printer 1-1 1/2 years. First time problem.

    Hi fishbum,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you are having issues printing your Photosmart 7520 printer from your Mac.
Please follow the steps in the Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue document. There is a section for each operating system.  Please click on your version of Mac to find the steps.  If that doesn’t help you would you please provide some further information:
How is the printer connected (USB cable or wireless)?
What version of Mac OS X are you using? Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
Have you gotten any error messages? If yes, what did the error message say and where was it displayed (printer or computer)?
    Thank you.

  • Maverick and Photosmart 7150 printer problems

Updated to Maverick os x and now my hp photosmart 7150 printer won't work .. can I update .. and if so how do I update my printer driver for maverick?

    Hello
I believe the HP Photosmart 7150 was released back around 2002.
Which version of OSX did you upgrade from ?   Were you running previous OS X 10.6 when you upgraded to new 10.9 ?
Unfortunately, the HP Photosmart 7150 has not been supported for some time now with the last few releases of OS X.

  • 5510 Printing problem

I have a 5510 photosmart that refuses to print. The paper goes in about 5 cm, then I get an error message about changing the ink. I have cleaned everything I can find to clean but no joy.
Please help or its going in the bin!

Hello @flash1701 , welcome to the forums!
If the printer is showing you an issue with the ink cartridges, this is most likely why you cannot print successfully.
My suggestion would be to troubleshoot by using these steps:
Ink Cartridge Problem: 'Incompatible Ink Cartridge(s),' 'Cartridge Problem,' or 'The Indicated Ink C...
If the troubleshooting does not help at all, I would lastly suggest technical support.

  • Photosmart 4580 Printing Problem

We bought my in-laws an Hp Photosmart 4580 to use with their iMac which is the same as ours. I connected it up yesterday and although it's recognised, print preview shows correctly and will actually print it only prints rubbish, to be fair it looks like code of some sort. I've checked everywhere and can't find a similar problem. I'm sure it's something obvious, unfortunately it's not obvious to me! I did then install the HP disc stuff but it dodn't make any difference. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it, I'm rapidly losing my reputation with them as a Mac expert!

    Hi David,
Does the scanner part of the printer work? If so, can you scan the 'rubbish' in and post it here (via an image hosting site, such as www.imageshack.us) so we can see what you mean?
One quick test you can do to help narrow down things is to try printing in another user account.
This will help us to know whether your problem is local to your account or system wide. If you don't have another account you can use System Preferences -> Accounts -> \[+\] to create a test one (and \[-\] to remove it if needed)
