Hp photosmart 5510d can't set up-tried everything-ideas?
installed Lion, now the above won't work
downloaded all drivers, firmware
get to the "add device" process and nothing pops up and can't add manually.
All network connections are fine, including that between printer/network.
I am not sure whether open up the back door and throw it out or give it another day of trying to get it right.
hate the back door option. I could hard the neighbor's cat or plants. I also do not like to throw away something that should work.
Tried USB and wireless sets ups. Several installs, uninstalls, etc.
Computer working great, printers was running great, etc. I'm pretty good at hardware/software issues, but I must be weary of poor software from printing devices. Would really appreciate any input.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Make sure you are using the driver for the Duplexer model, it is different driver than the Non-Duplex model (which you will see the exact problem as described by using it).

i have updated to io7 but it wont let me recieve or make calls or texts its showing i have no signal but i can recieve internet ive tried everything can anyone help?

I tried to update Iphone 3gs to ios 5 with Itunes. first try,It did sync,posted my name under devices(iphone). Tried to restore,keep recieving error message 14. I ran the diagnostic and it kept saying under Port, it does'nt not find Iphone. Tried EVERYTHING! From uninstalling, youtube, google, DFU and downloading some of the so called help links and files. It also keep saying my phone is in restored mode and on the phone it shows a usb plug pointing to itunes and a cd. Trying to fix problem from home and not be charge a fee just to talk to Apple representative. Please help !!!

Apple does not support downgrading, so that is probably why you are getting error 3194. As you have to hack the phone to downgrade all bets are off now. As some of the help links and files direct you to jailbreak your phone if you followed any of those you now have bigger problems. -
Photosmart 7520--can't set up to wireless network
I set up photosmart 7520 on wireless network just fine out of the box. a few days ago I couldn't print to it and now can't reset up on wireless network to print. Help!!!

I see you are having an issue getting your printer to connect to your home network. This thread is about the Photosmart 7520. Is this the model printer you are working with?
You mention resetting the printer. Did you simply power cycle the unit to Hard Reset the device or what type of reset did you perform?
Have you tried restoring the network defaults of the printer to see if it can connect after performing a Hard Reset to all devices in the network connection?
Follow these steps to reset your HP printer, your wireless router, and your computer.
Press the Power button on the HP printer to turn it off.
Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the HP printer.
Disconnect the power cord from the wireless router.
Turn off the computer.
Wait 30 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the wireless router.
Wait 30 seconds, or until the router is fully on and ready.
Turn the computer back on.
Wait for the computer to reload.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the HP printer.
Turn the printer back on.
Press the Setup menu option on the front panel of the printer
Select the Wireless submenu
Scroll to the bottom of the list and select "Restore Network Defaults"
Select Yes on the next screen
After performing these steps try connecting the printer again using the Wireless Setup Wizard in the Wireless submenu of the Setup menu again. Does this help get the unit connected?
What brand/model of router are you using? What is the name of the company that provides your internet service?

HP Photosmart 5510d can't be printed to by 2 laptops over wireless network
Computer 1 - Vista 32 Pro
Computer 2 - Win 7 64 Premium
Both have current drivers. Both can find the printer. Both can cancel print queue jobs.
Both get the "The printer is not connected" or "printer is not online" error.
I've checked the IP addy: 192.168.1.101
There is a desktop system that is able to print to the printer - it is located directly next to the printer, but prints wirelessly. I moved one of the systems into the same room as the printer; no dice. We've even had the "next door" computer wake up - and the printer still doesn't do diddly in regards to the laptop.
At least one system is able to access the Printer Assistant - and see what current ink levels are, which match what the printer self-page spits out. (I haven't tested it w/ the other laptop).
Help?Set a static IP in the printer outside the DHCP range of your router. Use a fixed channel like 1,6 or 11, never 'auto'. Now try.

Can't access hotmail- tried everything
Please can anyone help, am losing hope of ever accessing emails again. I have had the iPad 2 for about 3 months and successfully installed hotmail, complete with folders, contacts etc, using instructions I have seen here and elsewhere concerning m.hotmail.com as server etc. About a week ago I lost my sent items folder, then all my other folders and now the inbox! All I get is a message saying 'can't get mail, failure to access the server'. I have tried all kinds of things restarts, soft and hard, removing all items from inbox, reloading then trying again, resetting the account. Can anyone say what is wrong and have any suggestions on what I can do about it or where to get advice. I have had my email account for 20 years and can't face setting up a new email account when it should work on the iPad. Thanks.

HP Photosmart 7525 I cannot print borderless, tried everything.
I owned many HP printers. This HP7525 Photosmart all in one, will not let me print borderless.
Put borders etc to ZERO and still comes out with borders taking almost a third of the photo.

I would like to assist with this issue and have a few things for you to try.
Have you tried printing a photo from a USB memory stick or memory card plugged directly into the printer? Does this get the desired result in printout?
If the main driver on the PC isn't producing the desired boarderless prints, then I would try using an alternate driver, such as the HP Deskjet 9800 or 6980 drivers, as a possible workaround. Does the drivers produce the desired boarderless printouts?
Have you checked to ensure the printer's firmware is up-to-date? For information on how to perform a firmware update on the 7525 click here.

Skype can't connect. Tried everything.
Hi all,
Literally can't think of anything else to try.
Issue only happens on 1 computer. Everything else on it works fine.
Other computers work fine.
Tried uninstall/reinstall with latest version.
Tried setting rules in the firewall to allow all connections on all ports.
Tried disabling the firewall.
Tried different user account.
Tried disabling antivirus
Tried removing antivirus
Tried different skype account
Everytime I login I'm met with "Skype can't connect".
I am out of ideas and would appreciate any input.

Xorg.conf can't set resolution right everything is blurry
i just switched from CRT to LCD and it looks really bad.

I've set xorg.conf according to the monitor specifications
resolution is set to monitor's native resolution and the display size is set
to the one specified in the monitor manual.

The fonts in all windows and the resolution look really bad. everything seems to be a bit blurry in general.
Did i set something wrong in xorg.conf?

Partition Problem can't remove Partitions (Tried Everything.)
So I've been trying to BootCamp my Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
But when i came to the install section where i choose and partition, and of course I choose the bootcamp partition.
But somehow it did not work, so i just restarted and went back to yosemite.
And I opened up my disk utility, and saw there was created different partitions,
like diks02s, disk03s and so on.
And when i press the minus button it won't get removed, and message comes up.
Partition failed with the error:
The requested size change for the target disk or a related disk is too small. Please try a different disk or partition, or make a larger change.
So il try to resize, some hundreds mb, which does not work, when il try to resize, it just won't it is preparing to resize for hours even thought we are talking about 200mb resize here, i waited and waited for like 6 hours and it did not resize.
So i thought to get to the boot area (Like when you restart and hold in Command + R) and resize from there, it worked! But for like an half hour, before the same message came up :

And yes I've been trying to resize from the boot area.
Nothing works!

How can I set up the HP photosmart d110a on a mac?
I own a macbook running lion(2010), setup on a wireless network run through a Linksys WRT110 wireless router. I also bought the HP Photosmart d110, and it sets up and works fine through my windows laptop, but on my mac, I can't get it set up to scan at all. I defined a static IP address for the printer. I also printed out the wireless network test, the network is set up on WPA-PSK encryption. When I try to detect the printer using the Setting/Print and Scan, it doesn't find the printer. I can print if I put in the IP address, but it won't scan. Is there any way to set this printer up, or do I need to get a new printer?
I also wanted to mention that after looking through this forum, I did check the router firmware, and my router is running the newest firmware already.
