To better assist you, would you please provide some additional information:
Do you have the Photosmart 5520 printer that is mentioned in the thread title? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
What operating system are you using? whatsmyos.com
Have you gotten any error messages? If yes, what does the error message say and where is it displayed (computer or printer)?
What task were you trying to accomplish when you posted on the forums?

    Why do I keep getting paper jams in HP Photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one? It won't even take in the paper without jamming.

    @ Petee - There is a document that shows the steps on how to clear out a paper jam in the Photosmart 5520. There are a few doors that allow one to access the rollers in the printer and the document shows these steps.
    PrintDoc linked the document in Message 2 of this thread, but I will link it again below to ensure it is easily found.

  • Brand new HP Photosmart 5520 from Apple. WILL NOT PRINT BLUE.

    Brand new HP Photosmart 5520 from Apple. Mod#CK042-64004  Ser#CN38K13242  WILL NOT PRINT BLUE.  No blue on alignment. Ran HP  Utility CLEAN PRINT HEADS several times.  Cartridge vent open and ink wet to touch.  Ran  HEAD CLEANING from TOOLs Printer several times wih 30 minute intervals.  Improved some but still only light blue streaks on printed test pattern.  Is there anyway to manually clean Print Heads?

    Best bet is to call HP Support as you may require a replacement printer. Could you please post back to let us know how you get on?

  • HP Photosmart 7525 e-All-in-O​ne Printer won't print black

    I've had my product for a little over a year (out of warrenty) I have replaced all cartridges and done Print Quality Diagnostic. However my black won't print. The photo black works, but not the main, large one.
    I've super cleaned the pinheads. At the beginning of the print it was dark black, but then faded to gray streeks.
    Can anyone help with this?

    The document here may help resolve black not printing on your Photosmart 7525.  Go through each of the steps, but be especially sure to check the vents as shown in solution six.
    If the steps in the first seven solutions do not resolve the issue the post here may help.

  • HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-O​ne Printer when trying to photocopy says incorrect paper size

    HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer - WHEN i AM TRYING TO MAKE A COPY COPY OF AN A4 DOCUMENT WITH A4 PAPER INSTALLED.  iT KEEPS PUTTING THROUGH A BLANK SHEET AND SAYING INCORRECT PAPER SIZE.   HELP!!
    I HAVE CHECKED FOR UPDATED SOFTWARE ETC, CLEANED THE GLASS, TURNED OFF AND ON ETC - NO LUCK.
    Why is it such a major task just to photocopy one standard piece of A4 paper with just a letter contained no photos etc or anything too tasking.
    Any help much appreciated

    Hey there @SMFTEDDY ,
    I saw your thread and messages and wanted to add to it. I have checked the Copy Menu on the printer itself (below), and it does not contain the option to copy in A4 size. You might just have to use the work around scanning method recommended above to get to use the A4 size you wish to use with the Photosmart 7520.

    My print apps will not connect to the internet ENVY 100 e-All-in-One Printer series - D410 (CN517A)
    The printer is connected and all other functions are working, it is just the apps get a connection error when I try to connect. 

    Check out this document.  It's about this specific error.  I had the same error message and downloaded all the updates.  Now the web apps are working.

  • Black ink cartridge will not work even though new; photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one series

    My printer suddenly stopped printing properly.  The black ink is no longer printing.  I changed the cartridge, thinking it might be defective.  I have cleaned the printheads several time, reset the cartridges etc.  and the ink still does not come out in the print quality diagnostic nor in documents that I need to print.  The printer is 2 years old.  Is there any other things  I could do to get it to work, before I go and buy a new printer????
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Photosmart 5514, you are unable to print in black ink after replacing the cartridge.
    I would like you to continue here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
    Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
    If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in?

  • HP Photosmart 5520 e-All-in-O​ne scan to email not working

    I have scanned to email when I first got the printer without any problems, but I have tried numerous times today and it is scanning and saying it has sent but I receive no email?
    I can only think that there's something to do with having the receiving email and sending email being the same address but I don't no how to change this!
    Please help its making me angry ,.

    Finally received my scans via email - 3 hours after scanning.

  • The LED display on my printer has no lights. I have an HP Photosmart Plus e-ALL-IN-O​NE B210 series.

    The printer works, but must be controlled from the computer.  I am using OS XP.  One day lights were not on.  Then they flashed once when I moved the printer.  I thought maybe it was a cable, but I had a technician look at it and he said all the cables were fine.  Any Suggestions?

  • HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-O​ne Printer

    I am using Win 7 32 bit OS and have this printer on my network wireless hookup! I can print from all devices, but My computers can not detect the card reader! The reader works, because I can print pictures from the memory card while it is in the reader, but none of my devices can see the card reader. I have tried maping the network drive, but still can't see the reader!!!!         HELP!!!

    Yes, you need to be connected with the USB cable while using the memory card.

  • HP Photosmart 7515 e-All-in-O​ne Printer - C311a - printer stopped printing

    I have owned this printer for less than 1 year and not used it heavily.  While it worked, it worked well - no complaints.  It suddenly stopped printing black about a week ago so I searched for a resolution.  The resolution offered was to replace the print head.  The instructions said that replacing the print head required that all print cartridges be replaced as well.  The cost for all of this now exceeds the cost of the printer ($60 print head, $75 to replace all the ink) and the solution doesn't work.  Now yellow and cyan don't print and the printer reports no problem.  Rest assured that this is the LAST HP printer product that I will ever purchase.  There is no support to speak of and no accountabilty for the problem.  Coupled with the recent "update" that required me to install new software in order to get the fax to work again, I am more than disappointed with HP.  I was a die-hard HP fan until now - bye, bye HP.

    So the printer is less than a year, it should still be within warranty? Have you checked by entering the serial no. below....

  • Photosmart 7520 e-all-in-o​ne printer won't start and does not respond. windows 7.

    Printer worked when installed. Was able to print test photos and print jobs. Also able to print several personnel print jobs. Several das later it will not turn on and respond. Have tried all suggested trouble shooting solutions to no avail.

    Thanks a lot for the question, now lets get you an answer!
    I understand your printer just stopped working out of the blue.
    This is very weird, I suggest you make sure the cord is connect in the middle, both ends and then I would check to see if the outlet it is plugged into is still working. Please try all those things. If it doesn't fix the issue at all I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you cal HP Technical Support.

    HP printers generally have a 1 year warranty from their purchase date, you can verify the warranty using the following link if you would like; warranty check.

    So i followed your advice to check the underside of the printer and low and behold tilting the printer backwards makes the power plug snap - what an attrocious piece of design this is.  How an earth can you make a connection that is both vunerable and located perfectly placed to break if you tilt the printer.  As an engineer I am gob smacked. 
    I shall think a great deal before I ever by an HP product again.
