Hp Photosmart 5520 prints out disney prints on its own

the 5520 will print out randomly during the day and night. I will print out disney themed prints even if you turn it off and then back on, the prints are queued up and print. I don't want to do a factory reset on it if I don't have to.

You more likely registered a scheduled delivery print app by mistake.
Follow the Managing Scheduled Delivery Print Apps > Cancel or resume delivery of a Scheduled Delivery Print App section below:

Look for any Disney's app or if the printer sheet may include the app name lsited on its bottom part.

Trying to install new HP Photosmart 5520 printer but a screenkeeps coming up saying that the computer OS version is not compatable and to load all updates which I have done but it still won't let me install the printer.

So, what version of OS X do you have? If it is 10.6 or higher, download and install the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.
If it is 10.5 or lower, it is time to upgrade your OS X and/or Mac.

Network file printing on its own

Printed file off website a month ago, file prints on its own every couple days and I cannot stop it. What can I do to get file from printing? HP Photosmart 5520 wireless

First try perform a hard reset. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall out. Leave out for 30 seconds, and plug back in. If that doesn't change anything, uninstall your software and re-install.

My iPad mini is jumping in and out of apps on its own. Or when I'm in one and try to close it goes to home screen and app is jiggling then it reopens not closing. Then will start just opening programs at will

It's usually just a problem when the app crashes and then you tap it again and then it closes and opens again, it will usually stop after a few times. If this is happening while you are in an app and it crashes and does that, it's no problem, just wait a couple of seconds and play the app again, nothing will happen. It's no biggie, don't even sweat it, it rarely happens. Besides, it's happened to me too, it does no damage to your IPad mini.

Photosmart 5520 print on photo paper - black isn't black

Hi, I've been having some issues printing text on photo paper. I create little circles with a name in it (2cmx2cm) to use in jewellery.The print used to be really sharp AND really black. Since a few months, the black is getting a bit faded out, more greytone than black. I tried changing the settings to 'print black only', max. DPI etc, but nothing helps. The ink cartridge isn't empty either, not according to the printer test or me (I shook the cartridge and I can hear there's certainly ink inside). Could you please advise setting I should use? Can I enhance the thickness or grade of black from the print? Would it help if the circles and names are created in a super high DPI file in Photoshop? Thanks in advance.

Hi , Have you by chance changed the type of paper you are using? Based on your description, after the black became a little faded you began tinkering with your print settings. Since changing the print settings didn;t help, I can't help but wonder if the issue is not related to the settings at all. What happens when you try to copy something, is the black print then faded too? I bought a new Photosmart 5520 for my MacBookPro running OS 10.6.8. It stopped working after a few days. documents hang up in print queue, which says "printing page 1, 33% complete..." and below that it says "idle". I tried the various restart schemes, and removing it from the printers list, to no avail. I had the same problem with my previous printer after a few years of use. I threw that one away and bought the 5520. Any idea what causes this problem?

Restart your Mac.
Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

HP Photosmart 5520 print quality issues - Not printing black

Hi,
I bought a HP 5520 printer. I used it once and printed less than 10 photos and it was great the quality was superb.
I went to use it for the second time and the print quality was terrible. There is no problem with the printer responding to comannds it tries to print just it is awful quality.
I used the trouble shooting guide that HP have posted on line. I went through every step multiple times - I am using the correct paper, Genuine HP cartridges.
I got to the step where you run the Print Quality Diagnostic Report and there is NO Black present, Yellow is faint and the other colours have horizontal streaks.
I ran multiple print head cleans and no change.
I bought brand new HP print cartridges and still no change also ran multiple print head cleans and Print Quality Diagnostic Reports but still the same.
I tried to phone HP technical support but as I am at work just now and not with the printer they would not put me through to a technician
They told me to try and get an online Chat with a technician - well a few attempts and hours later still no response from them
Has anybody got any help on this issues please?

Yes it is in Warranty. It is virtually brand new.
After I last posted I got through to the online chat support and was sent an email with options to 'troubleshoot' which I had already done with no success.
I was also given a link to try to update the printer firmware - which I will try when I get home from work.
I will see if that makes any difference but am sceptical as the printer worked fine the first time round but hasn't worked since and nothing has changed on it.

Google is our friend for this sort of conversion / measurement.
Most American made paper is sold by Pound measurement which might be shown on the front of the package.
A chart might be useful to determine what the average home printer uses.
Pounds to GSM Paper Weight Conversion Chart
I am unsure the extent of what you require for this -- the printer may be able to handle the extra weight paper or not. If the job is one for which you may not need to use the printer again, you might consider using a professional service and not risk your home equipment that may not be suited to this heavy duty service.

Need disassembly instructions for lid/glass plate of Photosmart 5520 printer to remove dead ants

I have ants under the glass of my printer. The ants got very excited and freaked out when I pressed the copy button and the light bar turned on! The ants are dead now as I placed the printer in the freezer for several days in a sealed bag. Now I need a disassembly procedure allowing me to just gain access to the area under the glass plate so I can remove all the dead ants and pupa before they attract any new ants or fungi. I am good at taking apart basic electronic products but I would rather have a step-by-step disassembly precedure if available. The online PDF disassembly instructions for recyclers didn't help because of lack of detail. Of course, I would also like to be able to put it back together in working order. I could just leave the ants to mummify if field disassembly is not a good idea.

HP Photosmart 5520 printer not printing more than 4 pages at a time.

Hi,
I have just purchased this printer - stoked about the duplex printing to save of paper etc. . . .
However it prints maximum of 4 pages (word, pdf etc) at a time. Kind of pointless having a wireless printer where you have to sit by the printer anyway & have to reprint a document about a million time. And then sometimes it will print up to page 3 only, so wasting paper. Sometimes the printing stops mid page.
I wont even begin to talk about how I have tried to print a photo, 3/4 of a 6*4 is the maximum that will print.
Am kind of thinking its a waste of a $160.....NOT HAPPY.
I have tried installing and reinstalling to no avail. . . what else can I try?

I read through the document and NOT COMFORTABLE not having virus scanning software installed on my computer.
My two other printers work perfectly, however, lacking the wireless capability & duplexing and "printing from anywhere" I really want to move beyond them.
The only step I hadn't preformed was a system restore, which I will attempt now. However how do I ensure I have up to date firmware? I only have recently installed the printer using the website as recommended by the printer. . .
I struggle to think of how the printer has capability to print from "anywhere" it doesn't even tell you when connected that it fails at page x of x. . . . it just makes you think the whole thing is printed until you find on the printer it hasn't.
Sigh!

HP Photosmart 5520 printer no longer prints wireless

Hello.
I recently got an xfinity cable modem with wireless. (Xfinity/comcast promoted it should be faster...I am seriously doubthing that!)
Before this cable modem, I was printing okay with a Netgear router. Never an issue with it. Now with the comcast modem with the Netgear router, I can no longer print wirelessly from my computer or anywhere remotely (ipad, laptop, etc).
I do suspect something with the comcast modem but comcast claims it is NOT them (Yeah, right...works okay flawlessly before and now nothing). Thus if someone can help me pinpoint where the problem lies, I would be greatly appreciated. And of course, one cannot turn off the wireless network in the xfinity modem either!!
Have tried the HP diagnosics but says it cannot establish a 2 way communication. Everything on the printer display looks correct from a wireless standpoint (i.e. sees the router name, etc).
I am using Windows Vista

What Comcast forced on you is a Gateway device, modem+router. Call comcast and have them put that Gateway in Full Bridge mode and now connect your router back up and use that. What is the exact Comcast model number they gave you?

Ipad to photosmart 5520 print problem

Hi, I am constantly geeting the message 'No AirPrint Printers Found' when trying to print from my ipad, I have not had this problem before. I have tried to reset, turned off the router, typed in the ip address, reloaded the app and many more but to no avail, any help to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated. The printer is working fine from my MacBook.

Rather than fixing the printer, you need to allow your iPad to use same network with your printer because you still can print from other devices.

How do i turn my hp photosmart 5520 printer to 'online'

I have a HP windows 8 laptop and purchased a new HP printer recently, it's been working fine until a couple of weeks ago. Now when I want to print something, it says the printer is 'offline.'
I've tried downloading the newer software, but I'm no good with laptops so I'm not sure if I've done the right thing.
Please help!

Click on the HP Printer Assistant in the Metro tiles or from within the desktop -->search charm -->type in HP Printer assistant. Once it opens, click on See what's printing. That will invoke thewindow you see in the following image.

4515 "Clear Jams" Sheet Printing on its own

Hello all,
I have seen two other posts on this subject, but no resolutions. What is happening is the "Clear Jams" sheet is printing for no reason. Sometimes with a print, sometimes without, and sometimes not even the whole sheet.
Now, people are swearing up and down that they aren't hitting any buttons when it comes out, so I am at a loss as to why. I have checked the log, and nothing at corresponding times tells me what is happening. There have been no changes to the firmware since it started [I found out about it yesterday], or to any of the printer's system settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
