Using a memory card to load pictures will only send them to Snapfish - how do I load them to My Pictures on my computer and not Snapfish?

What OS and version of iPhoto -- prior to Lion
A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

Iphoto wont recognize memory card to load pictures

all of a sudden iphoto wont recognize the memory card to import pictures. when you put card in reader iphoto launches but you dont see the card on the left hand side and it doesnt ask you to import the pictures. If you remove the card you get device removal error - then card appears on left and import button shows up but nothing happens when you push the button??
If you go to Finder the card is there and i can "select all" and drag them to iphoto. This is really strange - please help?

If your card shows up in the Finder then you can still import from inside iPhoto. Do File > Import to Library, then navigate to the camera card. You can preview the photos, select the ones you want to import, and import them to iPhoto. This is actually my preferred method, since it allows me to choose exactly which photos I want to upload from my camera.
Don't remove the card reader from the USB port until you have ejected it properly. You can do that from in the Finder. Click on the little triangle eject symbol next to the name of the card (below your HD icon). When the card disappears from the list it is properly ejected and you may safely disconnect the card reader.
I don't know why the card suddenly stopped appearing in the iPhoto Source List. One thing you can try is to use your camera to do a low-level format of the card. This has been known to improve a card's performance. The second thing you can try is to delete iPhoto's preference file. Close iPhoto. Use the Finder to navigate to Macintosh HD/ Users/ (your user name)/ Library/ Preferences/ com.apple.iPhoto.plist, then move that file to the trash. You'll have to reset iPhoto's preferences back to your liking after you launch it.

I've gone through this one. The new version of itunes I have doesn't list the devices on the left side but across the top and there is no place about photos. Also noticed If trying to move docunments from numbers it's no longer at the bottom of the app page as in the past and I have to email docs between computer and ipad.

I attempted to use my daughter's memory card from her Canon camera (different model) and I get a pop up window stating "No images on memory card meet the download conditions." Do yu have a card reader? If so try it and see what the finder sees on the card

Using memory cards

Is there any way that a memory card from a digital camera can be used on my G4. Is there a slot for it or a way to somehow get the pictures on there another way?

To connect your memory card from you digital camera you can use the actual camera. Just hook the camera up by using the cable provided with the camera (if it came with one/compatible with Mac). That is one way of doing it. The other way cost some money. For about $20 on the Apple website you can buy a Media Card Reader. I'm not sure which kind of card you have depends on which one you need. Here is one that is pretty common with digital cameras

Welcome , I would be happy to provide you with more information about printing with black only on the Photosmart 7510. First, here is how to make sure you are changing the black only settings; In the software program that you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print. (or Command+P)I have put a red box around the drop down in the image below, from this menu you want to choose Paper Type/QualityIn the Paper Type/Quality tab, click Color Options, (usually you have to click the little arrow, again outlined in red on the image)If you want color printouts, make sure that Greyscale is selectedChange the Greyscale mode to Black Ink Only or Black Print Ink Cartridge OnlyClick Print to try the print job again. Next you might want to read about how your ink supplies are used; The following information is from this article; Ink Usage in Inkjet Printers - it discusses several aspects of ink usage with HP printers. Ink is used in a number of ways throughout the inkjet printing process. In general, ink in an ink cartridge is used for printing documents, photographs and other such materials. Some ink, however, must be used to maintain the health of the print head; some ink is residual; and some ink evaporates. How can I install applications on my palm treo 600 using memory card and a reader???

I tried so many times installing applications such as games and other software on my treo 600, but nothing shows in the launcher. I don't have a hotsynch tahts why this is my only option. I can see theapplications I download from my laptop to my treo 600.
When I download using a pc, it is in zip file, then I extract it. Latly, copy paste to my memory card. Is there something wrong about it? Please help... I don't have any application on my treo 600. Its been a week exploring, but still don't get the answer.

HotSync is a program, not something to be purchased on eBay!
It is part of a free program from Palm called "Palm Desktop". Go to the pages Hook directed you to, download and install the program.
You can then install programs to your Palm correctly! You will not need the CD.
You will need a program called Documents To Go to easily use Microsoft Word and Excel files. This will have to be purchased from Dataviz.com. Be sure to look for a version that is compatible with your device.

Satellite L670-DX1 - after SP1 installation can't use memory card reader

Since I have upgraded my Satellite L670-DX1 from Win7 64Bits to Win7 64 bits SP1 (2 days ago) I can't use my memory card reader anymore, it always says it is a bad card and I should better reformat the card, with any card.
Does anyone have a similar problem or even better a solution for me?

yes i have installed sp1 using windows updater, i have tried to let the laptop search for new drivers, and i have the newest, i can't role it back because some virusscanning software makes it fail (allthough i made them inactive after cutting the wireless connection and before putting the old configurations back)

Problems using memory card

I bought few months ago memory card 4GB for my N95, for quite some time I'm having problems using it in terms of loosing data regularly. Though, I don't know if problem is in my phone or memory card I'm wondering is there any tool to check card or any other way to see what could be possibly wrong?

I wouldn't say permanent damage, but it is a good rule to format the cards first of all as most of these cards purchased over the counter are made for several different machines, and formatting it in the phone sets the MMC up for phone use.
Its not essential, but i find it helps.
There is no tool to check the MMC that i am aware of, but try the phone for a day without the card to see if the problem still occurs.
If it does, you know its a phone fault or vice versa.

Photosmart E317 Camera - Memory Card

There is clearly a lack of available information about the E317 and although it is older - it is still quite suitable for our particular need. I want to increase the memory but am finding it difficult locating a memory card.
At the moment the card is- HP128MB Secure Digital Memory L1873A
What type of card can I now purchase and from where can it be purchased? (Ontario Canada)

i have an HP E317 camera. i replaced the current memory card HP 64MB with an PNY 32GB memory card. i entered the current date and time and the E317 would not accept it (yes). is this because my E317 camera will not work with a PNY 32GB memory card? if so , what memory card can i get which will work on this camera.

2575 - Automatic paper sensor failed - when using memory card only?

My parents are on their second HP2575, the second being a replacement.
In each case after 9 months the printer will not allow you to print photos from a memory card, they get the message "automatic paper sensor failed".
You can print from the PC and scan its just from the memory card it doesn't work, can this be fixed?

It seems to me that you have not created a proper sysidcfg file. From your post, it looks to me like your sysidcfg contains no entries. This is why it prompts you to enter the kernel path. Look on docs.sun.com for a guide to creating the sysidcfg file .
