HP Photosmart c309 display panel

My HP Photosmart c309 printer display panel does not show the menu it only shows the hpwith a circle around it and the power button blinks on and off.  I can't do anything using the menu display on the printer.  I have tried uninstall and reinstall, turning the printer on and off, new ink but nothing works.

Please try to unplug all the connection to the printers such as power adapter, USB cable.
Let the printer stand alone about 10 minutes without any connection.
After 10 minutes, connect with the power and switch on the unit.

    Hi Gary,
Unfortunately, it sounds like the hardware has failed. I can't recommend any other solutions that you haven't already tried. The next step would be to service or replace your printer.
    Service:
Determine if your product is in warranty or out of warranty. If you need help determining your product’s warranty status, go to HP’s Warranty Check Tool .
If your product is in warranty , contact HP support.
If your product is out of warranty , click here to view additional printer support options starting as low as $20.
    Replacement:
Consider taking advantage of HP's Trade-In program: http://www.hp.com/united-states/tradein/home_flash.html

    Hi @Gilpurchases,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that you are getting a black display screen with your HP Photosmart 7520. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!
Please try a hard reset, by going to this post, How to perform a Hard Reset, by @Rich1. It is very important to make sure that the printer's power cable is plugged directly into the wall outlet and not a surge protector. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
I would also go through this guide, The HP Printer Won't Turn On or Respond When the Power Button is Pressed.
The last step would be to try and plug in a USB printer cable from the printer to the computer, and do a firmware update. If one is available for your Operating System. What version of Mac OS X are you using? If you do not know the Operating System you are using, please visit this website. Whatsmyos.
Hope this helps, and hope to hear from you soon!

  • HP Photosmart c309 and printing from Vista laptop on wired/wireless network

Ok going to be as thorough at possible here.
Its a brand new HP Photosmart c309 which I received this past Weds, so far so good both my Wife and I are enjoying it. Now I have it wired into my home network which consists of a Linksys switch in our home office and Netgear wireless router in the basement. The Linksys switch is wired to the router in the basement for internet/network connection...I have my Dell workstation running Windows XP SP3 (with all the latest patches from Microsoft, Mcafee AV) and the photosmart printer wired to the switch. I installed the HP software and drivers from the disk on the XP workstation and all is well...prints, scans and I'm able to view the printer settings, ink levels and what not.
NOW my Wife's Dell Vista laptop (which is patched to the latest from Microsoft, Mcafee AV) is getting really annoying. First I hate Vista but that’s another story...the Vista laptop connects to our home network via the wireless network through the Netgear router. So I followed the same steps as my XP workstation, it finds the printer during setup and all is well till the part when it wants to send a test page...so I opt to skip the photo test page and just do a standard one. Well it "sends" a test page or at least it looks like it does but nothing comes out of the printer (ie no activity from printer). The printer icon shows up in the system tray in the lower right hand corner of the screen near the time and when I put the mouse pointer over the icon is says "0 in queue" so I double click the icon to see if I can get more info and nothing happens. Right click the icon and choose open all active printers and again nothing. The printer icon is in the system tray for about 10-15 seconds and then disappears.
So I'm a little confused here, I check the printer in "printers & faxes" and both it and the fax part are listed...the printer even says it’s in "ready" status. I start the HP solution software on the laptop and I am able to scan from the printer to the Vista laptop fine, I'm able to view printer settings, network settings, ink levels and what not. I JUST CAN'T printer to it.
I tried another test page from the printer properties within Windows, again the icon shows up in the system tray and it says "0 in queue" and the icon disappears after 10-15 seconds. I then try to print a picture using the HP software and the same thing...icon shows up in system tray "0 in queue" and it disappears.
Did I do something wrong or am I missing a special step for Vista machines? I did uninstall and reinstall software/drivers and manually removed the printer and then reinstalled everything with no luck and no change...still acts the same.
I'm lost at what else to try. I think I tried the obvious stuff. I've searched the web to come up blank with a similar situation like mine...I've seen others complain about printing 1 page documents and the printer prints 3,6,16 pages at a time which is the opposite from my situation.
Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bruno

  • Retina display wakes in high resolution / breaks Displays panel

    Hi all,
Yesterday I used my new retina MBP with an Apple TV, mirroring its screen up on the AppleTV for a presentation. Since then, whenever I wake the MBP (I have its Energy Saver settings set to sleep the display but not the computer after a time), it wakes in super high res with tiny tiny tiny text (this may be 2880 x 1800 but I can't tell, but it's higher res than the highest setting the Display panel offers you).
Then, because I want to reset it to something readable, I open the Displays panel, and click Best for Retina or such, and it doesn't change. None of the resolution settings do anything. The Display panel is not entirely broken, because the GUI functions, as in, highlighting different options I choose, but there's no reaction.
To fix it, I've found I can go into the menu bar icon (rectangle with triangle under it, the AirPlay icon), set the MBP to Airplay mirror to itself (which strikes me as an odd option to have available).  This changes the screen to something pretty low res with letterboxing at top and bottom, and asks me for a Airplay password for my own system. I say Cancel, and then my Displays panel works again, and I can select Best for Retina.
Any tips? Seems like a bug.

  • ADF/Swing: changing iterator in runtime before displaying panel

Is it possible ,before displaying panel, to change iterator name that was specified in design time and is placed in panel.pageDef xml file and this way display panel with different iterator than is in panel.pageDef file? If yes, is it posible display this way many panels in the same time?

    Hi,
the iterator is referenced by the attribute binding. If you look at the Swing code then you see that the Swing widgets reference a named attribute binding in their model binding. To change the iterator you would need to access the ADF binding layer and change it there. which I haven't tried.
The attribute binding references an iterator as a named reference, which means that changing the physical implementation - in theory - works if the same set of attributes are available.

  • ADF Swing - what happened to 'Display panel.java'

When editing a for with embedded panels, in Jdev 10, when you right-click on the panel there is an option 'Display panel.java', that opens embedded panel for edit. I don't see this option in 11gTP3

Sorry, wrong forum, this was supposed to be on 11g forum.

  • Font Display Panel Problems

I was reading an online article about using iWeb
    http://www.mymac.com/showarticle.php?id=3047
and there is a screen shot of the font display panel
This is the panel many applications use to allow the user to adjust the fonts. If you open TextEdit and go to Format/Font/Show Font the Font Panel will appear.
As you can see in the iWeb article the screen shot shows recently used fonts. The fonts show how they actually appear or they are preview. When I bring up iWeb o TextEdit I don't see that preview. If I select the Gear icon in the lower left corner I can turn on Show Preview but this just brings up a header show what a selected font looks like. The fonts in the list don't change.
There seems to be a problem with my Recently Used and Favorite lists. There are a few fonts in my list but they are not grouped together. There are blank rows listed between the shown fonts. However if I click in the blank area a font is selected and if you have any text selected in the document it will change that text.
If I choose a new font for a TextEdit document that font never shows up in the Recently Used list.
Is there a preference file for this panel? It appears my font display panel is not working correctly.
    Are others having these issues?
    Thanks
    Kelvin

I have an iBook running 10.4.11 and the recently used collections gets updated correctly. However when adding a font to the the Favorites collection there are blank rows between the fonts I've added. Also if you select the font type and not the specific font such as the bold, or regular it doesn't copy all of them.
Also, unlike in Leopard when you select the Recently Used collection you see what the font looks like show in the list irrespective if the preview panel is activated. Looks like for Leopard the font display panel was changed or not tested thoroughly.

  • Can the front LCD Display Panel be use to send custom messages?

    Hi all
Can the front LCD Display Panel on Rack mount servers like the P1-1000 or the MS-9218 be used to send custom messages?
    Thanks
    Carlos

You better ask MSI that directly, as I doubt anybody in here can answer that question.

How to Identify which panel your Xperia Z1 Compact using ?
You may need root to find that out but if your Xperia Z1 Compact is not rooted then use a file manager like “Solid Explorer”. Open it and then navigate to #_ System Root > sys > devices > mdss_dsi_panel > panel_id and Check what is mentioned there.
Sony has used different panels for Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 F and now for Xperia Z1 Compact, well it seems display lottery will affect future flagship devices also.

    Isn't this illegal?
What laws exactly do you think are being broken?
Every phone manufacturer does this, even Apple. They use different factories and companies across a production run (e.g. JDI, Sharp and LG for iPhone 5) and the panels will have slightly different characteristics despite being of the same type. Apple chooses to callibrate each panel in the factory, however, which not many others do. Customers should demand this, though, and just return their phones if they're not happy with their panels.

  • HP laserjet 4200 - display panel is off

After changing the printer cartidge, the error 49 FF01 continued to appear on the display panel so, as suggested on the internet, I turned the power off and then turned it on again. The problem was, after turning the power back on, the display panel is completly off and now the printer appears as offline on my computer. Can anyone help me please? Thanks.

So what is the average expected wait time for a response here?  My printer has been sitting in pieces on the floor for 12 days now, with no response with even a hint of a suggestion from anyone.  I'm guessing at this point I should just write this website off as a loss and try and find some other help forum?
