HP Photosmart C5580 , I need a network driver for windows 7 64 bit.

hello all  ,
this is the only driver supplied by HP for my printer and Windows 7 64bit :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL30128/mp-74904-1/PS_AIO_04_C5500_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_1...
as you can see it is listed as "NonNet" and as it is such I am unable to print from ANY other computer in my house , I have been trying o solve this for months , Complete reinstalls of drivers (hundreds of times) and complete reinstalls of Operating systems , this will not work.
(also , the only OS's supported under this drivers listing are the Windows 7 family only , could this be the problem?)
What I have running now:
Main PC , Windows 7 64bit ( the printer is installed here with above and only driver , all software and buttons work and prints as it should)
XP MCE Laptop (sees the printer , installs it , shows it as ready , will NOT print)
Vista Ultimate 32bit ( sees the printer , installs it , shows it as ready , will NOT print)
Vista Home Pro (sees the printer , installs it , shows it as ready , will NOT print)
I am at a total loss other then this driver just is not right , maybe because its not a network driver??  I don't know but I am out of things to try , I have tried adding the port , finding the printer through the ip yada yada on all the PC"s , nothing works
PLEASE if anyone has an answer or direction for me to go , please help.
thanks , have a wonderful day.

I'm not on a wireless netowrk , I have a fully wired network...still no printing (from other computers) if the C5580 is hooked to my Windows 7 64Bit PC
I had to put the C5580 printer and drivers on one of my Vista PC's (in another room) and now all the PCs (even the windows 7 64bit) prints to that pc , the ONLY problem with that is I need that printer/scanner on my Windows 7 64 PC and need the other PCs to print to it , because I need the scanner and software in here.

Hello meconnen, The drivers that were linked to are for the below operating system.
    Operating Systems:
    Windows Server 2003 *, Windows Server 2008 *, Windows 2000 *, Windows 7 (32-bit)*, Windows 7 (64-bit)*, Windows Vista 32*, Windows Vista 64*, Windows XP *, Windows XP 64-Bit Edition*
Here  is a link that has some information on where to locate the drivers for the network device.
Look at the post by julia_weiss, and write the instruction numbers down, and then click on the link to go to the Foxconn download web site, and navigate to the correct location using the information numbers provided.
When the screen opens, click on Locate lan drivers, and then details, and look at the first drivers in the list, and click on the floppy disk icon to download these drivers. They are for Windows XP  32 bit and 64 bit.
This has been confirmed to work, but I cannot verify these will.

  • Satellite L655-19H - Need graphic card driver for Windows 8

    Hello!
I have a problem with VGA drivers on my L655-19H in Windows 8. Last drivers on Toshiba site only for windows 7 and don't work with my W8.
I instal drivers manually, but some games tell me "bad video card drivers". Microsoft drivers dont work too.
    Sry for my english.

As Silas wrote, the Win 8 system isnt supported for this notebook model.
I found on Toshiba page an Win 8 supported model matrix and this series isnt listed.
This means that Win 8 drivers will not be available.
If you need Win 8 graphic drivers, you will need to search at your own hand on some 3rd party websites like omegadrivers.net or similar.
As Im not mistaken the notebook uses the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphic chip.

Can anyone suggest me where to download printer driver for Officejet 4355 under windows 8? My brand new laptop that use Windows 8 OS can't recognize my officejet 4355 printer. I've searched several times for the driver over the internet, but can't find one.
    Please help a.s.a.p.

    Hi Priyayi_Jowo,
Install a Windows 8 Driver with Windows Update
With this basic driver, some of the buttons on the printer do not function and some of the advanced printer features are not available. For more information about your driver and to see workarounds, see the Frequently asked questions section.
    Hope this helps.

  • Do I need a games driver for Windows Vista?

I have a Palm Zire 31 hand-held (aprx 2 years old).  Last week I purchased an HP Pavillion with 64-bit Windows Vista operating system.  Yesterday I purchased a couple of games to download onto my Zire 31, but haven't had much luck transferring from the new computer onto the hand-held.  Do I first need updated drivers for the Windows Vista?  (I still have the old Dell XP in the kids' room, if all else fails!)  The games seemed to download OK, but I'm having difficulty getting them to hot-sync onto the Zire 31.  Am I overlooking something really obvious?  What am I doing wrong?  Shouldn't this download in the normal hot-sync operation?  Can you help me avoid a few more gray hairs with an easy solution????  Thanks in advance for teaching an old dog some new tricks!

Palm does not support sync to 64 bit OS. There is a bluetooth work around but as the zire 31 doesn't have bluetooth it's a mote point.

yes i have a sata drive.

if you unrar the 64 bit drivers in a folder you get a folder ide
    inside are 2 more folders
one says xp one windows 2000
best i can see you need to copy every thing in the xp folder to the floppy
    except the raid utility folder
these are what it tells you to copy for 32 bit
    Driver for Win2000/XP
      Please copy CDROM:
      nVidia\System\CK804\IDE\WIN2K or WINXP
                                   disk1         file

  • ISA driver for Windows 2K

We are trying to upgrade our current programs in LabVIEW 4.1 with Windows 95 to LabVIEW 6.1 with Windows 2K and possibly to TestStand in future. In order to do so, I need new ISA driver for windows 2K. Is there ISA driver I can dl from internet or do I need to create one for my own. Is it's available out there, do I need to buy it or is it a freeware?
Thank you for your help in advance.
    Danny

Is the ISA you're talking about the "Industry Standard Architecture" hardware bus that's been replaced by the PCI bus? If you need a driver for an ISA card, what is the card? Many new computers come with only PCI slots so it that your problem? LabVIEW itself has nothing to do with the ISA bus and couldn't care less if you've got ISA or PCI DAQ/GPIB/whatever cards.

  • Can I connect a 4 TB USB drive to the airport extreme and use it as a network drive for Time Machine

Can I connect a 4 TB USB drive to the airport extreme and use it as a network drive for Time Machine

Yes, if the drive is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
The USB port on the Time Capsule is under powered, so you may need use a powered USB hub with the 4 TB drive...even if it has its own power supply.

  • Using external hard drive on a Time Capsule as a network drive for PCs.

I own a Macbook Air and am using a 2TB Time Capsule router. I am currently using for automatic backups for my Macbook Air.
I also own 2 PC laptops for the rest of the family. Would it be possible to use an external hard drive connected to the USB port of the Time Capsule as a network drive for the PCs? I want to share files between the two PCs.
    Thanks

Yes, you can do that.. although it is not necessarily as straight forward as you might think it should be.
    1. The TC has to be running SMB compatible names. short, no spaces, pure alphanumeric.
    2. The disk must be formatted to file system the TC can read. HFS+ or Fat32.. but the HFS+ is vastly superior.. the actual format is irrelevant from sharing point of view as it is still shared via SMB to the network.
    3. It is slow.. half the speed of the same drive plugged into your computer.. although if the connection is over wireless that is probably irrelevant.
    4. You might need a powered hub to get the drive to work.. Apple underpower the USB.. and even a powered disk still won't work.
    5. There are some issues with the TC getting the USB drive to work.. too many factors to say you will have issues or not.. but be aware this is not as straight forward as it could be. or should be.
    6. If you want to share files.. you can always share them directly.. pc to pc or pc to mac.. there is no necessity to do it via a network store.. You can also use the 2TB internal drive.. create a disk image and you can then store you data in that. Internal drive is much more reliable and faster.

  • I need an audio driver for Yoga 13 with Windows 7 Pro 64 bits English

    Hi all,
I downgraded my Yoga 13 from Windows 8 to Windows 7 pro 64 bits, and ever since then I have a problem with my microphone.
Skype finds the microphone and can use it, calls are all working fine, but any other program using audio does not work with the microphone.
After troubleshooting, I concluded that I need to update the driver but I cannot find it. Anything that I find on the Lenovo support pages does not install (event the one found on this page: http://support.lenovo.com/fr/fr/downloads/ds002860).
After looking at this post: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Windows-based-Tablets-and/I-need-an-Internet-driver-for-Yoga-13-wit.... I figured I would to be provided with the link by someone from Lenovo support.
Here's the hardware ID of the soundcard: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_506E&SUBSYS_17AAA001&REV_1000. In Windows it is recognized as High Definition Audio (in the device manager).
Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hello,
From looking at the Yoga 13 Hardware Maintenance Manual and downloading the driver package from the Realtek Wireless LAN & Bluetooth Driver for Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit) - IdeaPad Yoga 13 page and extracting (but not running) it to look at the contents, it appears the Yoga 13 uses a wireless LAN card based on Realtek RTL8732 chipset.
I would suggest that you try downloading the drivers, expanding, but not installing them on to a USB flash drive or SD card, then plugging that into the Yoga 13, running the Device Manager (filename: DEVMGMT.MSC), clicking on the appropriate entry for the wireless network adapter, selecting update, and then choosing the Browse my computer for driver software option, pointing that to the location of the unpacked drivers.  Perhaps Device Manager will find the correct drivers to install that way.

  • Location is not available to mapped network drive in Windows 8 using Synology NAS

    Original Thread:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-files/location-is-not-available-to-mapped-network-drive/ca7eac5c-0e3d-494b-b488-e245978e4db9
I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 standard edition. I have come across a problem when using the option for mapped network drives. Under Windows 7 I would normally map a network drive (Synology NAS) and I could access all files, copy and paste, install
apps, and link media, all from within the mapped network drive. However, under Windows 8.1 I have come across a couple of problems.
    1. When I try to copy a file from my "Mapped Network Drive" to the C:\Drive (OS Boot Drive), I get the following error,
"E:\ is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or drive is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. if the location is on a network, make sure you're connected to the network or internet, and then try again. If the
location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted."
However, if I copy a file from the "NETWORK/Network Location" the file copies just fine with no problems. And, If I also copy a file from a "Added Network Location" the file also copies just fine with no problems. And, if I copy a file from
my "Mapped Network Drive" to my D:\Drive (non OS Drive), the file copies just fine with no problems.
    2. When I try to install apps from my "Mapped Network Drive" they will sometimes install and sometimes not (I am also choosing the option to run the programs as Administrator). Again if I try to install using either the "NETWORK/Network Location"
or an "Added Network Location" the apps install just fine with no problems.
    3. When I link media (music or videos) from my "Mapped Network Drive" they will work but once I reboot they no longer work as if they have lost the file path or link of the original source location.
    4. When I use FireFox (browser) and I set my default download dir to my "Mapped Network Drive" it will work once originally set it but after I reboot, it no longer works. However, again if I set the default download dir to either the "NETWORK/Network
Location" or an "Added Network Location" the default download dir works fine even after reboot.
While I am able to access my network drive using any of the three options, "Mapped Network Drive", "NETWORK/Network Location", and "Added Network Location" but only "NETWORK/Network Location", and "Added Network
Location"appear to be reliable. Tbh I would prefer to be able to use my "Mapped Network Drive" in Windows 8 as I have been able to under Windows 7.
    More info:
I currently have UAC set to "Never Notify".
I also have Windows 8.1 installed on three different systems and all of them give me the same exact problems. One of the systems is a completely clean install with no 3rd party apps installed.
Just so its clear I am able to access the "Mapped Network Drive" but unfortunately this method of access appears to be unreliable in Windows 8 but in Windows 7 it works flawlessly.
If I map a network drive from another pc running windows 7 or 8, I can access and use the mapped drive with no problems. This problem appears to be related to the Synology NAS devices and I have researched the Synology forums but only found one thread about
    the problem, here:
    http://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=76687
I have searched several forums and attempted to pick the brains of my local computer shops for any incite on this problem but I have been unable to find a solution/fix.
Any help resolving this is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Based on your description, we can temporarily disable the firewall to see whether the issue persists.
For this issue seems related to the Synology NAS devices, in order to get professional help regarding the product, we can contact the vendor support to see whether the issue
    can be fixed.
    Best regards,
    Frank Shen
