HP Photosmart Premier

I currently use Photosmart Premier on a windows XP PC to crop edit re-orientate etc my scans, I have just been upgraded to windows 7 but I cannot find a downloadable copy ofthe programme, I have the scanning software for my G4010 but I need the Photosmart Premier to do the editing, does anyone know where I can get a copy

With this information and the product number we can provide you with accurate information.

Windows XP, SP3 operating system recently re-installed so I also reinstalled my printer software. Now, for some reason, each time I turn my computer on, my HP Photosmart C4100 all-in-one photosmart premier software opens. It is not in my startup. This slows down my computer terribly, which is why I never used the program before my re-install. How can I disable this feature? I only print, I don't use it for photos.
Any help here is appreciated.

Run msconfig.exe from the start button (type in msconfig). When it comes up go to the Startup tab and find and deselect the HP product you do not want to start. Save and reboot computer. Now try.

Problem with HP Photosmart Premier software

I have an old custom built desktop PC running Windows XP Pro.Recently I started receiving an error message from my HP Photosmart Premier photo program the "OBJECT REFERENCE NOT SET TO AN INSTANCE OF AN OBJECT." Since I don't have a clue what this means I need help from someone who does. How to I fix this problem?

MelLeveque, when you refer to "print view software" what software specifically are you working with that is having the issue? Also, are you trying to uninstall the printer software from Programs and Features or are you trying to uninstall through the program itself?

Is there a replacement for Photosmart Premier photo editor for Windows 8 ?

I just upgraded to Windows 8 with a new HP computer but I have lost a fabulous photo editor Photosmart Premier. The drivers on my OEM cd would not install so I have downloaded all the drivers for my C4680 colour printer for Windows 8 but Photosmart was not included. Is it called something else now and I have just missed it? Thanx for your consideration. SB

Hi SnowBird43x80. It does appear the HP Photosmart Premier photo editor is not available for Windows 8.
The replacement software is called HP Photo Creations and is available here:

Photosmart Premier all in one

I just bought the photosmart premier all in one. Love it but a couple of wierd things.
Using HP photo paper 4x6 gloss and 8x10 matte.
I printed the same pic three different ways: usb stick, wi fi and laptop attached with usb cable.
I get three different looking pics with the usb stick pic being the best and brightest.
Also the wi fi pic flips the pic so the perforated edge is on the opposite side than the usb stick pic. (no big deal just odd)
Any reasoning for this. I am very impressed with the quality of these pics that are printed but just wondering if the stick will always be the way to print.
While I'm at it I will ask why my business cards done in Publisher 2007 print outside the lines of the cards? This file has been set up a while ago and I am using the same Avery form (not with me at work) so I'm at odds. Is this a Vista thing? I assume my printer is Vista compat and does not need an update as it was bought 10 days ago.......
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As for the lighscribe, is your PC the a1630n? I couldn't find the a163n. If you do indeed have the a1630n, you could try the LightScribe System Software Update.
This is the best I could find.

Stop HP PhotoSmart Premier software from running everytime I log unto my PC?

How can I stop the HP PhotoSmart Premier software from running everytime I log unto my PC? Its not in my Start up folder for all users or my user. Nor does it shows up in MSCONFIG applet, nor the "regedit" RUN Key! I have also searched out the software preferences to no avail.

I am having the same issue! NOT a good way to start my day because it is sooooooo annoying. I hope someone can figure this out and offer some help. PLEASE?!?!

HP Photosmart Premier 6.0

Hi,
I used to use HP Photosmart Premier 6.0 on Windows XP and since I upgraded to Windows 7 I can't find a match.
I used to use this software to create multiple (different) images on 1 sheet and all images resized like passport size on 1 sheet.
Can someone suggest a good alternative that still allows me to do this?

As Banhien says, HP Photo Creations can place multiple photos on a page.
For a gridded layout, pick the Multi-up Prints project, then choose Grid or Wallet.
For more control, start with a collage print or photo book page project.
Please let us know if those don't do what you want.

Replacement for Photosmart Premier to print on CDs

I recently moved my Photosmart 5160 to my main Windows 7 computer, downloaded the drivers and was able to print photos. But I used this printer to print on ink jet-printable compact discs and the software that HP offers does not print on CDs as far as I can see. What can I use in the style of Premier?

Photosmart Premier 6.0 - after needing to restore my computer last week everything works fine except this program will not open. The files are there but won't open. Its like something is blocking the shortcut.

I need the photosmart premier software for photosmart all in one c7200

i cannot find the photosmart premier download here on the HP website anymore. i don't dare to use another site as they may not be safe. HP do you have it somewhere or can i get a cd from you with it on? i really need it to do my pictures

This is a third party software, I think the contract ceased few years back. The latest version is v7.0 dated 2006-06-09. Now HP uses a product called HP Photo Creations, you can download from the following link:

Problem with resizing on Photosmart Premier program on my 4240 series 400 Photosmart Printer

I went to "create" on my HP Premier program and made a calendar with it. I am trying to print out that calendar but it won't make it small enough to print off on an 8x10 format. It comes up like 16x20 or so no matter what I do, ie, with white borders, scale to fit 8x10 paper, letter sized, scaled to fit onto letter size, etc, etc. I am using the calendar form provided by the HP Premier so I would think I must just be doing something really wrong for it to not print out the correct size for me. Can you tell me what I need to do to make the entire calendar print off on one sheet of paper?

You may want to try the print-at-home calendar project in HP Photo Creations. It offers multiple output sizes, from 8½ x 11 to 13x19. HP Photo Creations is a free download for Mac and Windows at www.hp.com/go/hppc.
You can start your calendars on any month. With the ship-to-home calendar project, you can customize the grid section as well by dragging images there. Place a picture of Grandma on her birthday, or a heart graphic on your anniversary day.
Another fun feature: On the print-at-home calendar, try resizing the calendar grid by dragging the bottom right corner. The 12 squares line up in different layouts, such as 3x4, 4x3, 2x6, and 12x1.

D5160 will not print directly on DVD's or CD's with HP Photosmart Essential and Windows 7

I have just upgraded from a PC with XP utilizing HP Photosmart Premier software and the HD Photosmart D5160 to print on Printable CD's and DVD's.......to a Windows 7 Operating System which utilizes HP Photosmart Essential for its photo editing and printing. With Windows XP and Photosmart Premier I could print on DVD's, with my HP Photosmart D5160 just fine. Now that I have upgraded my PC and have Windows 7, I'm being told that I can't use Premier and as a result can't print on CD's and DVD's. Is there a software fix that I can use or a certain software program that I can use with "7" so that I can once again print on these discs? I've downloaded the drivers (again) for the D5160 and tried everything that I can. HELP
