HP PhotoSmart Premium e-AiO (С310b) - AirPrint?

Could HP PhotoSmart Premium e-AiO (С310b) support AirPrint? Apple confirms that HP PhotoSmart Premium e-AiO (С310a) is a valid type for that, but what about the other which I am just going to buy?

Try these steps:
1- Remove Web services from the printer menu
2- Select Restore Network Defaults from the printer menu
3- Turn OFF ,wait a few minutes then Turn ON the printer
4- Run the Wireless Setup Wizard from printer menu
5- Enable Web Services from the printer menu.

  • Problems keeping Photosmart Premium e AIO C410a connected.

My printed keeps becoming disconnected. Diagnostic Utilities have not helped. Online chat got it going for 1 page, then stopped. Told to change to static IP and later told to reboot and try Dx Utilities again (rude person, ignored what I was telling him). Critical update does not apply to my setup. Using Windows 7 64-bit. Linksys WRT 160N router and Ad Aware Total Security. Correct network settings displayed on front panel of printer and network diagnostics all Passed. Printer thinks it is connected and computer thinks it is connected, but it not evidently. Usually need to uninstall and reinstall and enable device in windows to get it to work. This happens 2-3 times per week. If it weren't for this major inconvenience, it'd be a perfect printer. I have HP printers since 1989 and never problems like this.

I have been using HP network printers for 15+ years.    This is the first time I have had major problems with a printer and no one at hp is able to find what the problem is.    They try every thing in the cookbook, but they don't want to listen what the problem really is.     At times the printer/scanner work fine, then sometimes it doesn't.   The printer shows that it is offline or disconnected.   You can watch the print queue when you print something and right in the middle of printing something it will go offline.  With the HP Solution Center, it will show it is disconnected.  I ping the printer's ip address and when it stops working - the ping error message is "Request timed out".     Then a few minutes later (no changes), the response time is less than 1ms.   This keeps occuring every 3-20 minutes it will work, then stop working, then work again.    No hardware/software/connections are done during this time.    When the printer ip address stops working, I still use the internet, connect to other local network devices, print to other hp network printers. When printer ip address responses to a ping, all the printer functions work correctly.
Yes the software has been updated and reloaded multiple times.    HP level 1 support staff have no knownledge how to solve this problem and they are afraid to ask for help from second level, thinking it will make them look bad.   I have talked to 7 help desk people and only one was willing to ask for help and the connection was cut off.    Lots of the time when they put you on hold,  after a few minutes (3-5) the connection is dropped.   Noticed they don't record the steps that have been taken, because they reask you to try the same steps you had just completed with a previous help desk person.    I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with these helpless support staff.    The HP help desk support is the worst in my 30 years of working in the computer industry.
HP wants to blame the switch, router, the ... anything else, but their software/hardware.    Each time they blame it on something,  I show them they are wrong, or remove it from part of the configuration to elimitnate is as a possibility.   They have no way of finding the root cause of the problem.

  • Can you print from an Ipod Touch (newest one) to wirless HP Photosmart Premium C309n?

I've tried the bluetooth connections and finding the printer - from both printer and ipod but they do not find each other, so I was wondering if it was possible to be able to print to my printer C309n Photosmart Premium.

No not with AirPrint (the built-in printing app).  You need a printer that supports AirPrint for that.

  • AirPrint on HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer - C309a series.

Is there anything that can help my iPad or iPhone find the correct printer through AirPrint for an HP Photosmart Premium C309a series?

I don't think the 309 is AirPrint enabled.  The list is in the link below.  If it is not an AirPrint printer, then you will need a third party app like print and share or printopia.

  • New HP Photosmart Premium AIO (c309g) won't connect to network.

    Hi,
I just received my new HP Photosmart Premium C309g printer and I'm having trouble connecting to my home network. Everything else works fine but it just searches for ages looking for wireless routers and never comes up with any results. Even Wifi Protected setup just continues to search and doesn't come up with anything
I ran the network test report and it said Wireless On- PASS   Wireless Working - FAIL. I've reinstalled all the software and nothing's working so help would be appreciated!
    Router : DLink (DIR-615)
Encryption type: WEAP2 (something or other lol!)
    ISP type: cable (virgin media)
    thanks !

I would say the printer's radio is bad.  Turn the printer off, unplug power from the back of the printer, wait 30 seconds, plug in and turn on.
Now, run the Wireless Network Test from the front panel.  If it fails again, return the printer for a new one.

  • IPad/iPhone won't print to HP Photosmart Premium (C410a)

I just bought an HP Photosmart Premium All in One printer (C410a).  I got it all hooked up, using wireless and I have set a manual IP for it.  I have a 2nd generation AirPort Extreme router which is only set to run DHCP from .100 to .200, I have the printer set to always be .210.  My Windows 7 and Windows XP machines can install and print to the printer just fine.
However my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 cannot print to it.  I was able to print one picture directly from the iPhone and it worked amazingly well, I have not gotten anything since.  Any document/picture I try to print doesn't go through.  AirPrint finds the printer just fine, it says it is sending the document to the printer, but then nothing ever pops out.
I've cycled the router, printer and both devices multiple times.  The two Windows machines remain able to print to it the whole time.
    Any ideas?

Should have mentioned I already updated the firmware, sorry about that.  It shows that I am currently using the most recent version, no update needed.
As for the print center app, I had no idea it was in that list.  I opened it up and it shows the photo/document I'm trying to print and the status just cycles between "Printing 1 of 1..." and "waiting".  I can cancel it, but trying again does nothing.
    Thoughts?

  • HP Photosmart Premium won't scan to Mac

Since downloading Yosemite on my Mac I can't scan photos from the touch screen on my HP Photosmart Premium C310. I also am unable to scan from Preview or from Image Capture. If I try to scan by touching the scan icon on the printer, I get the following error message: "Scan problem: Try starting scan from computer. Refer to documentation for details."
I don't need any new updates for the printer or Mac (I checked). I have a solid network connection as well. I noticed that my Mac is no longer under Networked Computers on the printer but am not sure if that is related to the scanning problem?
I have also reinstalled HP Software.
    I am able to scan from System Preferences-->Printers & Scanners-->Scan-->Open Scan-->

    Hi,
The solution provided for 10.10 is available via Apple Software Update, using any incompatible HP software which was not designed for your operating system may prevent the correct update from being installed and.
Scanning from the front panel is not supported with the provided solution but only from teh software on yoru Mac:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-Premium-e-All-in-One-Printer---C310a/4023238/model...
I suggest removing any incomatible HP software by going toapplications > Hewlett-Packard and following the HP Uninstaller.
Once the unisntall completes go to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners and click the plus sign.
Select your printer and select teh printer model instead the default AirPrint option within the Use drop Down menu, then you should be able to scan via Image Capture, Preview or from Printers & Scanners.

  • Photosmart Premium C350g how to tell wireless working?

Installing on a MacBook Pro hooked up by usb to new printer - Configuring the printer, no network showed up - even with that network visible to 3 other computers that are farther away from the router (the router is a Time Capsule). I have read through a number of threads, all seem to indicate that I should be able to see the printer's presence or it should see my network, but I can find no indication that this is true.  If I wire the printer to the router, it is there and configurable, but still will not see my network (after pulling the wired connection, restarting the printer, and using the panel to turn radio on).  In short, if the radio just didn't work in this printer, I would be in the same boat.  How can one tell that the radio works?  I haven't seen entries in the router log that would suggest it tried to connect.

Thank you for the reply - I appreciate the help.  I wrote that first post at 1:30 AM, so first a correction - it is a Photosmart Premium AIO, model C309g.
The blue 802.11 light is on when it is trying setup, or when turned on from the control panel.  The wireless test page shows it is on but not connected.  The printer shows up on the router when connected by ethernet cable, and I can look at wireless config settings in a web browser at that point.  I can set it up by USB but it doesn't see the network, either when it searches, or when it accepts the connection parameters my laptop is using successfully.  I tried setting it up again through the ethernet cable/web browser route, then disconnecting the cable and changing to wireless, but it still does not see the network.
The router (Apple Time Capsule) I am using is advertising its existence, and shows up on 802.11n and 802.11g devices (laptops, iPhones, my neighbors can see it).   In addition, HP's tech specs on this printer say it has 802.11n wireless, so I don't think the g/n issue is in play.  What I am looking for is a way to confirm that the printer's wireless is actually working when I can't get it to see a network everything else has no problem seeing.  There is no Mac address filtering on the router; I have used WEP and WPA/WPA2 setups for the router, no luck.  Can I set the printer to broadcast an ad-hoc network ID or something so that it would show up to other devices, just to show that it is actually on the air?  Should it show up in the router's log files in any event? I can look for a Mac address from it, which I have from the config page, but I don't see it.
I may have missed something in the settings/connectivity area, but I don't know what that would be.  At this point I am trying to eliminate the possibility that the 802.11 radio in the printer is faulty.

  • Problem with printing to a HP Photosmart Premium C410

Printer purchased and installed on July 9, 2011. Connected wirelessly to a D-Link Xtreme N GIGABIT  Router  Model   DIR-655. Router IP address 192.168.0.1
The printer worked fine until last week. Then one of our Laptops could suddenly not print or scan anymore.
There are Two Dell Laptops connected to the same router.
The first Laptop, Dell XPS M1530 running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2, 4GB Ram 32 bit OS. This machine can print to HP C410 printer directly with no problems. It can see the printer’s embedded web server at 192.168.0.254 and can scan from there into a file on the laptop or can print the just scanned image from the embedded web server.  It can also print to it using HP eprint.
The second Laptop, Dell Inspiron M1545 running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 2, 3GB Ram 64 bit OS. This machine CANNOT print directly to the HP printer.  It can see the printer’s embedded web server at 192.168.0.24 and can scan from there into a file on the laptop (I used a PDF format and brought it up in Adobe Reader to be sure) but it CANNOT print the just scanned image from the embedded web server.  The print process fails and shows the document still in the spool queue with an error status. It can print to the HP C410 using HP eprint.
I have used the HP suggested process of uninstalling all the printer software and re-installing it from the original CD (tried this three times) and by downloading it from www.hp.com. I have also installed the HP fix titled: Following a Network Installation, the Product Loses Functionality and Is Missing from the Devices and Printers Menu after the Computer Is Restarted in Windows 7 (64-bit Only)
I installed the fix after a complete un-install / re-install cycle.   I have run the HP Print Diagnostic Utility at this point in the process and it returns a clean (All Green Check Marks) report but its final test print fails in the same manner.
Thanks in advance for help in solving this problem.

So, this post, as well written as it is, went totally ignored by the HP personnel that are supposedto be "helping" us poor novices? WOW! No wonder this crap gets thrown out of the house so often.
I have two HP network printers. An HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m, and a HP Photosmart Premium C410a, and they are the most unreliable pieces of "equipment" that I have in my network. This is absolutely trhe crappiest bunch of junk on the market. The only thing worse than these "devices" is the support from HP for them.
I also have a HP Photosmart C5280 AIO, and a Deskjet D2345 Printer. I have little, to no, problems with these two. The "flagships" of my network imaging are the worst, of the worst.

HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer - C309g support eprinting and airprinter
    This question was solved.

    Hello RetiredHP,
Thanks for the post.  Ok, we may have several options here.  With ePrint, you can use the mobile app. to print from your printer from any location with your iPad or iPhone.  If you have downloaded and installed the app., then check the below.  If the ePrint app. is not showing (should look like icon below), check the link below these steps.  The 2nd link provides some additional information.  The key is to ensure that both your iPad and the printer are on the same network.  Good Luck!
Figure 3: HP ePrint mobile app icon
If prompted, provide your iTunes account information, and then click Get. iTunes automatically installs the app on your mobile device.
Step two: Activate the mobile app (optional)
Why should I activate the mobile app?
If you activate, you unlock all the features of the HP ePrint mobile app. You can print to any HP ePrint-enabled printer (to which you have been given access) from anywhere your mobile device has Internet access. You can also print Microsoft Office documents and Web pages, or save the Web pages to print later. HP ePrint mobile app even helps you with HP printer setup and lets you monitor the status of your print jobs.
If you do not activate, you can still print directly to your supported Wi-Fi-enabled HP printer, but only when your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You can print photos, images, PDFs, and text files saved on your mobile device.
Use the following steps to activate the mobile app.
On your Apple device, tap the HP ePrinticon, and then tap Activate.
Type your email address in the Activate using your emailbox, and then tapActivate. The HP ePrint service sends you an email containing an Activation Code.
Check your email, and then write down the Activation Code sent by the HP ePrint service.
On the Apple device, press the Home button ( ) twice, and then tap HP ePrint.
Type the Activation Code into the box, and then tap Activate.
The app displays a message to confirm activation.

    Hi Tomiwa,
You cannot print from the iPad to that printer. AirPrint and Bluetooth are completely different.
There may be apps you can buy that will enable using that printer, but that is not an ideal solution.
That particular printer has had many bad reviews, and is unreasonably expensive for its features. Considering that you just bought the printer, as well as its lack of AirPrint, I suggest you return it and buy a printer that supports AirPrint.

  • Photosmart Premium All in One Blue screen error B882B1C4

I have recently purchased a Photosmart Premium All in One C309G machine which is connected via a USB cable to the PC. When I try to use it wirelessly it produces a blue screen with an error message B882B1C4 as soon as I switch on the BT hub. HP haven't been able to sort out the problem as I am now in  receipt of the 4th replacement . Can anyone suggest a solution please?  I have a BT1800HG wireless hub connected with an ethernet cable to my HP PC.

This is posted in your separate thread:
Hey there. I would try a power reset to fix the issue.
Press the Power button ( ) to turn off the product.
NOTE:The product might not turn off after pressing the Power button. Continue to the next step regardless.
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, and then wait 30 seconds.
Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
Connect the power cord to the back of the product.
Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
If this does not solve the issue then the printer will most likely need to be serviced.Hope this helps!

  • 10.6.8 Printing problem with HP Photosmart premium C310 printer

I hvae a Photosmart Premium C310 printer which is connected wirelessly to my network. I also have a Mac Pro which is connected to the same network by ethernet cable. Up until I updated to OS10.6.8 everything worked fine. After that I found that when I restated the printer I could see it for a short time under the printer list but then it seems to "time out" and I can no longer print to it within a couple of minutes from my Mac Pro. When I restart the printer I can also see its embedded web page again for a few minutes but then it becomes not visble.
I also own a Macbook pro and two iphones and an ipod touch and all these wireless devices have no problem with seeing the printer and printing to it at any time. The Macbook Pro is also updated to 10.6.8 and works fine with this printer.
It would seem that the issue is not with wireless devices but with a wired device printing to this wireless printer even though it is on the same network and on the same subnet mask.  All that has changed between working fine last week and not being recognised this week is an update to OS10.6.8
I have restarted the Mac Pro, reinstalled the latest HP software and reset the printers wireless setup but this makes no difference.
Is this a similar issue to what others have been reporting about a bug with printing under 10.6.8 or possibly something else. Any help here would be appreciated as I have no way of printing from my Mac Pro right now.

Pengtao, I have plugged my Macbook Pro into the network (with Airport off) and I can no longer reach the Photosmart printer. Remove the cable and go wireless and the Macbook Pro can reach the printer again. I have installed the photosmart printer software under Windows 7 using Parallels on my Mac Pro and have no problems finding the Photosmart printer from it.
To make matters worse I have bought a new Laserjet M1536 today and install it on my network. Again I get the same issues. I can print to it from any wireless device on the network but cannot reach it on any wired device on the network.Switch the printer off and on and I can see it and print to it for about a minute then it becomes "offline" to my Mac Pro
Given that it works fine under Windows 7 from a Mac Pro I have to conclude that the issue must be OSX 10.6.8 and nothing else as everything worked fine before the upgrade. I have turned all device off and on , checked all cable connections and also uninstalled and reinstalled all printer drivers on the Mac Pro and cannot get it working. Any advice you may have that may solve the problem beyond it being an OSX issue will be greatly welcomed.
