HP PRESARIO CQ61-210SQ NOTEBOOK-NO LED LIGHTS,NO START.

Halllo i have big problem,my HPresario does not have any lights ,and when i want to push it- nothing....only the light ,who is next to to the power corde is lighting.No screen no led lights .nothing...What to looking for,i don not now,i think it is not the power...hdd or video card.....or what....PLEASE HELP ME...!!

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Notebook and getting a blank or black screen on startup. Try performing a hard reset. When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.
If that does not help try to turn on the computer you start to press F11 repeatedly till the menu opens. You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
If you can't get to the System restore menu. Here is a document on computer won't start.

    I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-310SA Notebook PC that worked fine until recently . Now when i turn it on the power light comes on , i can hear the fans and HDD power up , but the screen remains blank . The only sign of problem is the led warning lights . They flash twice , then pause then flash twice again , they do this constantly until the machine is turned off. I have tried a hard reset , swapped/removed the memory modules , reseated the HDD , checked all cabling is properly seated , still nothing. Have tried to fix the Bios using the HP_Tools USB device and pressing Windows+B on switch on , this caused the machine to beep 3 times then switch off . 
    Am now scratching my head and wondered if anyone here has any further advice before i throw it in the bin .... i tried to connect to outside source (TV via HDMI) ... but just showed blue screen and out of range message on the TV ..

    The only option for a modem if one is not bought as an option would be a USB connected modem. U.S. Robotics makes one. Take a look here at NewEgg. It is unfortunat that this laptop does not come with an express54 slot.

  • My CQ61-313US Notebook does not want to start up sometimes.

    My notebook all of a sudden does not want to boot up properly. When I turn it on the power light comes on, the wireless icon stays red, and two lights flash on and off. One is located next to the caps lock button and the other is located above the end and page up buttons. I take out the battery and unplug the power cord, then hold down the power button for up to 30 seconds. Then I plug the power cord back in and try to restart it.  I do this over and over again and if I get lucky it will boot up. What do you think is the problem here? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

  • Presario CQ61-104SV after bios update computer not start

    Hello,
          I made an update on BIOS inside windows. When the update start the fan start working very noisy. The update ended succesfully and shutdown the computer. The computer was connected to AC power without battery. After the shutdown the computer can not start. When I connect it to power, the power led turn on for 4 seconds and then turn off. I tried the keys combination (windows keys + B + power button) but nothing happen. The computer seems to be dead. Can anyone help me?

    yeah, seems like the same symptoms.
    my version was 3.6 from october 2004. Version 3.5 from september works fine except for the cpu temperature beeing displayed too high in bios...
    rollback to 2.5 did not work, still the same though i did not do the thing with the cmos-reset via jumper. will try this today...

    There is no physical switch/button on the Notebook to turn ON/OFF the bluetooth on the Notebook. Also As per specs of the Notebook found here, the Notebook doesnt support bluetooth as well.

  • HP/Compaq Presario CQ61 wont start up or charge, only the side charging light is on.

    I have a major problem with this Laptop Compaq presario cq61. I had to fix the cpu fan and after putting back the parts laptop i came to know it wasnt turning on.It is not even charging. only one charging light is lit, (the one on the right).when i press the power button the power light starts blinking and the light in the button too, and after that the charging light blinks three times and then stops. I opened the laptop again to check if i missed to put back a wire or something,but everything seemed fine.     No error messages. I made no changes except for automatic upates. 
    I was listening to and trying to follow instructions for troubleshooting an ACER netbook on YouTube when I lost audio.
    I have not had audio from any website since that time.  I found this happens only with one of the users on the notebook. the other user has audio on websites.  Help.

    Presario cq61 notebook PC locking up when loading windows. Just recently updated drivers that were missing or damaged and when I restarted the system locked up when loading windows. Can't find safe mode to find or fix problem. An I'm running windows 7. Please someone help me with this problem.

  • Compaq Presario CQ61 Notebook

    PC will not start up.  I was using my PC and it started running slow and freezing up, so I decided to reboot.  I had trouble shutting down, but after a few attempts and a long wait I was successful.  Upon the attempt to restart, I got a message that Windows failed to start and I can launch startup repair.   
    Launching the startup repair will only take me to the picture of blue rays.  I have tried starting it up normally and i get the Windows emblem.  
    I ran the System Diagnostics/Start-up test, The SMART Check Passed, The Memory Test Passed, The Start-Up Test Failed, The Run-In Test Failed, the Short DST Failed. The Hard Disk Test Failed,  It said Hard Disk 1.
    I went to the BIOS Option and ran the Primary Hard Disk Self Test and on the Long Test it stopped at 49% Complete and I received a message saying Hard Disk 1 Full (305)
    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    The test results you've posted would indicate that the Hard Drive is failing and needs to be replaced.  This is also consistent with the start-up issue.
    If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the drive replaced - you can check your warranty status Here.

  • Compaq Presario CQ61 Wont Boot

    So Like Most owners of the Presario, My Computer wont boot. Its a blank screen and the LED blinds towards BIOS Corruption but since I cant even get out the blank screen Any help would be very well indeed Helped. Below is Info and things I've Tried

    Bought: 3 Years Ago
    What Happened when this all started: I was drawing on photoshop, I closed it so it would go to sleep mode. I left the house for an hour to shop and come back to this blank screen and LED blinking Lights (Twice)
    Last Six months had To System Restore Twice, An Update back in March made my computer not work so was forced to system restore. 
    Things I've Tried:
    *Hard Reset More than 5 times, nothing worked
    *Bought New Charger
    *Bought New Battery
    *Removed/Reseated my two 2gb Ram sticks. Switched them
    *Removed HDD/Battery to see if it Was the HDD
    *Took apart computer before I knew it was the BIos to see if it was the moniter or if the wires got exposed or snapped
    Than I tried to get into the BIOS Recovery, tried the Win button +B button/Power, f2 and f10. Nothing gets my computer off the blank screen.
    I Think Ive gotten everything Down. Should I send it in even though it would be smarter to just buy a new computer? Im at a lost of what can be done . Almost Every person with this problem got fixed by Hard Reset.  I dont know how to deal with BIOS. So Please Help If You can.
