When I was using the HP Prime for the first time the Spreadsheet App had problems. I couldn't enter any number in the cell, the error message came up and when I moved to another cell and made an attempt to enter any data the calculator started popping up the screen as if it were connected for the first time. I did the reset and did not solve the problem, and if I leave the calculator in the App Spreadsheet and go to any other function, for example, Home to use it in common operations the Calculator restarts the same way. To use the calculator in any another function I have to leave the Spreadsheet App.

One possible cause of your trouble is a bug in the Spreadsheet App which was present in the version of the firmware that was in the initial release of the HP Prime.  Press the Help key, tap Tree, navigate to the second line from the top (About HP Prime) and tap OK.  If you have Software version 2013 8 13 (5106), then you have the original version, which is buggy and now obsolete. If this is the case, be sure to run the Connectivity Kit on your PC, use it to download the latest firmware and to upgrade your Prime.  The current version is 2013 11 25 (5447). If that does not help, your flash memory might have been corrupted by the old Spreadsheet bug.  To wipe your flash memory (don't worry; it doesn't wipe the operating system, but you will lose all your saved data and programs), do this emergency procedure: Turn off.Press and hold down the F, C, and O keys.  (That's the letter O, not the digit zero).Press and release the On key, while still holding down F, C, and O.When the "DIAGNOSTIC" screen appears, release C, F, and O.Press 4, 3, Enter.After a few moments, a blue OK appears on the right edge.Press Esc, 9. Your HP Prime's flash memory will then be completely cleared. Hope that helps! Disclaimer: I do not work for HP.     I'm paying for Quantum Internet service 75/35, but lately I'm noticing that watching AppleTV and Netflix in the evenings is getting hard to do. It seems like between 9:30 and 10:30pm EST my FiOS performance is getting really bad. This causes shows to halt/buffer multiple times and is souring the entire viewing experience.
    Here's my ususal (daytime) performance using Verizon's own speed test tool, which is what I expect:

    As you would imagine, this is causing large buffering delays as I'm trying to stream HD content.
    I know I can try to reduce image quality to minimize required bandwidth, but that's not the point; this is NOT the Internet service I'm paying for.
    Please note that my AppleTV device is HARD WIRED to my FiOS router. Also note that I am not using the FiOS router's on-board WiFi; that's turned off and I am serving WiFI in my house via two HARD WIRED Apple devices (a time capsule and an AirPort Express). I am seeing this performance on all devices in my house at these times, whether they are wired or wireless. Also note that I'm getting this test from Verizon's own site, which is hitting their own servers, which means that the interface between Apple, Amazon, Netflix, etc. and Verizon shouldn't have any bearing on the issue.
    Of course all calls to support have been about resetting my router, rebooting the ONT, etc. and nothing is getting better. I am trying to tell Verizon that they need to test the performance/capacity of their MAN/WAN infrastructure, but the agent can't do that, and can't even do a loopback speed test through my router to confirm or refute the performance I'm seeing.
    I don't know what else to do at this point, so I'll put it to the community. It looks like a lot of other people are seeing issues aligning with evening (i.e. prime time download) hours and I'm wondering if Verizon has oversold their capacity in my area (Tampa FL). They may have the fibers that can deliver a gig to each house, but if they don't have the router bandwidth and the backhaul bandwith to actually support it out to their network edge, it's a moot point.
    Is there any way I can get someone's attention in the network engineering team at Verizon? At this point they either know they have a major issue and don't want to admit it, or have a local failure (bad PON card, loose connector, overloaded internediate router, etc) that they have yet to diagnose. The call center staff doesn't seem to know how to get to the bottom of this.

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

You are also required to specify this password when you login to the UI (see the Password Rules for root user and globaladmin section)

  • Issues with Cisco Prime LMS 4.2.3

    Hi,
    I'm trailing Cisco Prime LMS 4.2.3 Soft appliance on ESXi before I deploy it into a live environment and am having some issues.
    I've upgraded to version 4.2.3 and the box was working fine after the upgrade however on power it up today the Apache service will not start.
    If I look at the LMS application I see this for the Apache service.
    "Apache                Administrator has shut down this server   0 "
    I have tried to starting it.

    If I run an application operation debug at the same time I get the following output.

    It looks like the hostname cannot be resolved. Can you try to add a static entry in /etc/hosts for the IP of the server and CiscoLMS42?
    Restart the daemon manager and it should work.

    i want to video stream from amazon prime to my TV  via my ipad, mac book using my apple TV device..

    there is no reason to get rid of Apple devices, not when a Chromecast, Roku, or FireTV can be acquired so cheaply. 
    This is a true statement, but this is a bad option in the long term since your content will be split between different sources, DRM rules, apps, access options, etc.  You are going to constantly be running into issues were you want to watch a show that is not available on the device (phone, tablet, etc) you are on.  I share "Disgusted_with_apple" frustrations in that Apple has not updated in three years now leaving Amazon FireTV and others with better interfaces and features but having my content locked into Apple's DRM.
    Apple was really first to market with a viable TV interface device, and has completely turned the market over to its competitors just by not showing up.  And now ATV can not play content, or provide features that ALL of the competitors have.   I recently bought an Amazon FireTV and love it.  The only advantage Apple has left is the iTunes Store still has more content, but that is not likely to last.

    and then I create a report for interface utilization.
    But it display nothing when the report run finished.
    I ask some guys in this forum, they said maybe it's a PI2.1 bug.

    From what you describe, it sounds like you have installed the Plug and Play (PNP) ova image. You need to install the Prime Infrastructure image.

  • What is your theory on what happened with ASUS Transformer Prime and BB?

    This is my theory:
    First preorder batch 11/22:
    BB opened up for preorders based on expected date of anticipated 12/9 ship date.  The buyers at BB that orders from vendors did not buy any preorder stock from ASUS in Champagne on first order. I gotta bleive that the reason that the Champagne prime is not shipping from BB is a "buyer" error. They filled their first allotment of preorders. That is why BB shiped out grey from the first wave of preorders. Other vendors got both- why did BB only get grey? The buyers always think they know what we want or will order and only ordered grey in the request to ASUS. They got caught with their pants down when Amazon cancelled the orders on 12/2 and EVERYONE affected jumped on BB.com and ordered the champagne which was available as the next wave.
    Amazon fallout 12/2:
    Best buy opened up another set of preorder allotment - 2nd wave, and got hit hard real fast with preorders that they were not prepared for, or had stock for.
    ASUS is filling initial preorder requests from the resellers in the order that the resellers requested too.  BB was offering that in the next wave of preorders, but they probably took too many orders at once, and they put in another order to ASUS around the 12/9 delay ship date and ASUS was not taking them at that time (delays due to Wifi reported) .
    ASUS 12/9 wifi report delay in shiping:
    ASUS was cought in a delay with reports of wifi range problems and either stopped taking orders, or recallled/replaced shipment with others.  Once ASUS took orders again from the reseller they are shipping daily based on the preorder backlog. Asus is responsible for the delay in accepting orders from vendors, and BB had a buyer error, by either waiting too long to put in the first wave of orders, or not ordering enough, and now they are in the back of the vendor reseller line waiting on ASUS to get to them.
    12/19:
    The date of irst ship came and BB shipped all it ordered from first wave and could not get anymore from ASUS in the second wave to cover the Amazon fallout system overload.  They were left in the back of the line of all other vendors becuse no reseller could get a second next wave fulfillment until all others got their first waves fulfilled.  The 12/9 delay kept next waves from being fulfilled, and that is why inventory is trickling into the other resellers and BB can only get a few more at a time.  BB ordered champagne on a next wave delay.
    The thing that bugs me in to no end is how is a person that ordered grey on 11/28 at BB still on backorder, but a 12/05 grey order has shipped and delivered?? This is not ASUS fault, That is poor business operations on BB. 
    That is my "perfect storm" theory- what do you think?  What is your theory?

    That is pretty close to what I think happened.
    It does seem pretty clear that Best Buy never initially ordered and Champagne Primes.  I have combed through the threads at this site and others and haven’t seen one person receive a Champagne Prime from BB.  Meanwhile people who bought from other resellers like New Egg and Amazon have received Champagne Primes. 
    The mismanagement of shipping out orders chronologically has to be maddening for the people who ordered the Grey Primes.  I do feel for these people that ordered the same exact product before others who now have their Prime, but will still don’t have their items.
    The communication from Best Buy had been terrible.  Screwing up the orders in the 2 examples are somewhat forgivable to me, but the miscommunication and what seems to be deceitfulness that Best Buy has exhibited is not.  They just seem not to care about the customer any more.  From my experience, prior to the release I was lead to believe my order would be ready to ship on 12/18.  Then it went on backorder with no real reason why.  Two (12/18 and 12/22) of three calls to customer service reps indicated that my Champagne Prime would still arrive by today (12/23), with the other call rep (12/20) saying she basically had no when my item would be in.  Then yesterday afternoon a post from a customer care rep on these boards confirming that I am basically hosed because I choose BB to fulfill my Prime preorder.  

  • Reporting discrepancies in Prime 2 wifi

    I'm having a problem where running different types of reports I've found that the number of WAPs being reported on changes.
    Under a device > detailed hardware the report generated does not include several WAP that are associated to controllers, in this case 5760 controller, some other waps (but not all) appear to be missing from a 2500 controller.
    However running a Device>ap summary report this time shows a few (but not all) of the waps on the 5760.
    Running the report device>ap dowtime summary all of the waps on the system are shown.
    There are some WAPs that are disassociated at the moment, and can be discaounted from some of the reports, but not all of those missing are disassociated are, and I would have expected them to be listed.
    Is there any reason why this might be happening?

    Thank you for your prompt reply, but I think I must not have put my query across clearly enough (my apologies, I'm still trying to come to grips with Prime).
    I'm aware I can customise the Reporting Period. However, when I do so, the report only returns entries for (at most) 3 months. It's as though the appliance is only holding on to the data for that length of time. I'm looking to run a report for as far as a year back, but only get the last 90 days or so.
    I'm just looking to configure Prime to retain the data for this length of time.

  • X1 and Amazon Prime & Netfix issue

    At least once a week I will select my Amazon Prime or Netflix and will get an error on the tv about not being connected to the network. Usually I have to reboot everything. Most of the time it works the first time but sometimes I have to try a couple of times. And yes, I do wait at least 10-15 seconds before reboot. This is a frustrating pain because nothing has changed with my tv or anything else in the house. For a hard wired network connection which and a supposedly high tech system this type of problems should not be happening on such a frequent basis.

    Providing you have a free HDMI port on the TV and the location you would put the Apple TV will allow it to connect to your network, you should be good to go.

    Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router.
    Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
    Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)
