HP Print to Fax Device not installed

I have recently updated to windows 8.1.
This has seen me have a few issues with my HP Laserjet Pro 500 MFP M570dw printer driver.
I updated the driver and had a few issues, which were solved by the HP Scan and print doctor tool.
However in the printer devices window there used to be a printer device which was for normal printing and then the was a device the I could use to fax straight from my applications.
This fax device is no longer installed for some reason.
If any one can help me install this device again I would be most greatful.

I downloaded the Acrobat 11 trial and I can open the product. During the install it deleted the existing print driver and did not install a new print driver so I CAN Not create and print pdf files.

What OS? Have you tried a repair and updates from the HELP menu? The updates may be the key.

IPhone 4 / Bluetooth / Windows 7 / Peripheral Device not installed?

I am unable to install my iphone 4 to the new laptop I have, OS Windows 7. The devices pair fine and recognize each other, I just keep receiving error messages when the driver automatically installs. It reads "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" not installed. Any solutions???

I realise this is an old topic, but it seems everyone has the wrong band-aid fix.
The correct fix is as follows:
The issue is that Windows doesn't recognise the iPhone as a Bluetooth Peripheral Device and cannot find the correct driver to download and install.
Follow the following steps:
- First, you need to install the appropriate 'Windows Mobile Device Support' software for your version of windows (32 and 64 bit versions have different files to download). It may look like it didn't install in Windows 7, but that's ok. It did.
- Turn on the bluetooth discovery mode on the iPhone.
- Select 'Add a Device' in Devices and Printers, follow the instructions to connect and enter the 8 or 9 digit key into your iPhone.
- Your iPhone should be found and automatically install all the software and drivers except for the Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver.
- In Devices and Printers, right click the iPhone, select properties, and then the hardware tab.
- The first device function should be 'HID-compliant consumer control device. Ensure it's selected.
- Select Properties, and in the next window select 'update driver'
- Select 'Browse my computer for driver software'
- Select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'
- Select 'Bluetooth Radio' from the left hand side listing
- In the next window, select 'Microsoft Corporation' on the left, and 'Windows Mobile-based Device support' from the right side.
- Install this option, clicking through the warnings and accepting this option.
- Now you have the device driver installed, and your iPhone will be connected via Bluetooth when you need to pair it - great for file transfers and internet access without turning the radio on.
I hope this helps. This is the proper fix. Not the 'pressing two keys at the same time' or unchecking the option that only allows some features to be used.

Everytime firefox updates I loose my Blue Mountain access. the pop-up reads Create & print plug-in could not install because it is not compatable with firefox 4.0.1

went to use create & print in bluemountain got "In order to use create & print in Mozilla you must download and install latest version. Do you want to install plug-in?" (clicked OK). Next message was "Firefox prevented this site (www.bluemountain.com) from asking you to install software on your computer" (clicked Allow) Next message "Create & Pring plugin could not install because it is not compatible with firefox 4.0.1" -- this sound like a firefox problem not bluemountain. Please help... I am paying to use bluemountain and firefox is not letting me get my $$$$ worth out of that site.

HT201401 MTP USB Device not installed

I'm new to this community message board.
I recently started having this problem about two months ago. Up til that time I didn't have this problem.
When I would connect my iPhone 4S to my windows 7 computer, the folder files would pop up and ask if I wanted to open the files from the iPhone connection through the USB port that I have always used.
It started two months ago, that when I connected my iPhone in the same way that I have always connected through the USB port, that instead Windows would recognize the connection but attempt to install the drivers. A message always comes up saying that Windows can not install the MTP USB Device because It can not load the drivers for this device and Code 31.
I've searched the web for solutions but have not found any that fix this problem. These are troubleshooting things that I have tried:
I have downloaded and installed the lastest iTunes application.
I have upgraded the iPhone to the lastest IOS
I have reset the iPhone, then reconnected to USB port on computer
I have connected the iPhone to another USB port on my computer
I have selected an earlier Windows System Restore point at a time before this problem existed and restored my computer
I have used the Windows 7 installation disk to repair the Windows Operating System
I have uninstalled the drivers for the iPhone in Device Manager, restarted the computer and then connected the iPhone and USB cable to the computer.
I have used another USB Cable to connect the iPhone to the computer.
I have looked in Control Panel under Devices - the Apple Mobil Device Driver is displayed with no problems. However the iPhone is displayed with a triangle and an exclamation mark in the triangle.
I have viewed Device Manager in Windows 7 and looked in these categories: Universeral Serial Bus Controller - everything is okay, no triangles with exlamation marks in them or any other markings on any of the Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Controllers. The Category in Device Manager called Human Interface Devices also looks okay.
In Device Manager the category Portable Devices lists H:\, MTP USB Device, WPD File System Device Driver all have the small yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in the triangle. When I double click to open these devices up in Device Manager they all say the device is not working properly because windows can not load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31).
Windows 7 still does not recognize the iPhone as it use to do with the open file window that pops-up when the iPhone is connected to computer. Windows shows these drivers for the iPhone on my computer and these show up in the properties of the MTP USB Device - which is what Windows 7 calls the iPhone connection.

I had the same iss - it's a known issue whereby Windows attempts to use the wrong driver to access the phone.
BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY!!! Editing the registry can be (read: IS) dangerous and can cause no end of pain if done incorrectly.(But dont wort..i did it...)
- To Back Up your Registry: Click Start menu and click "Run". Type "regedit". Click File, then choose export and type "iphone driver fix registry backup".
- Click Export and let it export the the registry to a file.
- To fix the issue: Follow the folder tree on the left to: hkeylocalmachine > system > current control set > control > class
- Find “{EEC5AD98-8080-425F-922A-DABF3DE3F69A}” down the LEFT hand side and click on it.
- Under the list on the RIGHT hand side find "UpperFilters"
- Right-Click UpperFilters and click delete
- Close the registry editor and restart your PC (without the iphone attached).
- Once restarted and logged back in, plug in your iphone and voila! Windows will actually choose the correct driver and you'll be in like flynn.

Client Security Solution error - Device not installed

After the latest update, the TV Fingerprint Software version 5.9.5.7038 was installed. Since then, the fingerprint scanner works well to start up, but if I open an Internet Explorer page which is password protected, instead of the scanner coming up, I get this message:
"The requested operation requires fingerprint authentication, but the device is not installed. Please make sure the device is connected and retry the operation."
Is there a fix for this? If not, is there a way to roll back to the previous version of the fingerprint software? Everything worked perfectly until this update.

OS Update/Connection to PC fails/ says device not installed properly???

I connected my Playbook to my computer after the most recent OS update to back it up. Windows 7 ticked along and then said it could not install the device properly. Now with the Playbook connected I cannot get the Blackberry Desktop Software to work because the Playbook is not installed correctly.
I went to the Device section in the control panel when the Playbook was connected and it indicates a RIM Network Device but doesn't let me delete to have it reset or whatever and when I troubleshoot it it says the device is working properly. But obviously it isn't. The RIM Network Device disappears when I disconnect the Playbook so I can't delete the device that way either.
In addtion, in the past when I connected the Playbook, I got a drive designation for it. This time I don't.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Print Apps...not installing nor able to remove (on panel)

Hi guys, I have a problem:
I have succesfully configured my printer, yet I cannot download or use any of the installed apps. Eventhough I try to remove the default ones them from the ePrintCenter (that confirms that printer is connected and ready), when I get to run one from the printer it keeps showing the following: Apps Updating. Please wait... followed by Cancelling ...and nothing happens. On Chrome it shows that aps have been removed, yet on printer's display they're all there!!!
I've done this a thousand times, updating/refreshing/installing/uninstalling/turning off, no results. Please help!!!

I got the firmware update last week, it downloaded, told me to turn off my printer so the update could install but when it came time to turn the printer back on it would not. I left it overnight but the next day it still would not turn on so I had to unplug
it from the wall outlet and the plug it back in again, then it turned on but I had lost internet connectivity, no matter what I did I could not connect to web print although it would print wireless, I phoned cloud support who put in a really weird IP address, sent me an e mail to give my ISP server instructions on how to do it and hung up.
That left me with a totally useless printer that would not print and my ISP server told me that it was not there job and from now on all my calls would be refused.
HP support helped me but I still cannot connect to web print, I can sign in but it say's not connected , enter a proxy address which my server does not use. I cannot scroll any apps on the printer and scan to email does not work.before the last digit was 64 but now it is 65 for the printer web pageso I think this may be the problem but as far as not being able to scroll the Apps as I could at first I have no idea. HP is supposed to call me today so I hope they can figure it out.

Print listing for fonts NOT installed?

Is there an app that will let me print simple font samples for those not installed? I have a large library of fonts and I'd prefer not to install - that would be pretty time consuming. TIA.
BTW - I do have FAP but it only lets me print installed fonts.

Dear All, I Have a trouble with my toshiba protege M500. After i am turning back to the factory install then the sound did'nt work. I try to install hardware detection software buat all off them said that the 'Sound Hardware not Installed'. What i have to do to solve this problem ? Try to install everest software. You can find it at download.com . Once downloading it will give you a report of what kind of sound device you have and a link to download the latest driver( probably it will be from toshiba web site).

HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a - Print when Fax is Not Saved

Can I make it so a fax is printed when it's not saved? I know I can set it to print and save every time, but I rely on HP Digital Fax to save paper. If a fax is not saved, either due to a network error or if the computer that it usually saves to is shut off, can the fax just be printed?

, it's nice to meet you. I think I found something that may help with your faxing dilemma. This information was in the User Guide for the Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a; pg 69. Set up backup fax Depending on your preference and security requirements, you can set up the printer to store all the faxes it receives, only the faxes it receives while the printer is in an error condition, or none of the faxes it receives. The following backup fax modes are available:On > The default setting. When Backup fax is On, the printer stores all received faxes in memory. This enables you to reprint up to eight of the most recently printed faxes if they are still saved in memory. NOTE: When printer memory is low, it overwrites the oldest, printed faxes as it receives new faxes. If the memory becomes full of unprinted faxes, the printer stops answering incoming fax calls. NOTE: If you receive a fax that is too large, such as a very detailed color photo, it might not be stored in memory due to memory limitations.
On Error Only > Causes the printer to store faxes in memory only if an error condition exists that prevents the printer from printing the faxes (for example, if the printer runs out of paper). The printer continues to store incoming faxes as long as there is memory available. (If the memory becomes full, the printer stops answering incoming fax calls.) When the error condition is resolved, the faxes stored in memory print automatically, and then they are deleted from memory.
Off > Faxes are never stored in memory. For example, you might want to turn off Backup fax for security purposes. If an error condition occurs that prevents the printer from printing (for example, the printer runs out of paper), the printer stops answering incoming fax calls. NOTE: If backup fax is enabled and you turn the printer off, all faxes stored in memory are deleted, including any unprinted faxes that you might have received while the printer was in an error condition. You must contact the senders to ask them to resend any unprinted faxes. For a list of the faxes you have received, print the Fax Log. The Fax Log is not deleted when the printer is turned off. The faxes are printed in the reverse order from which they were received with the most recently received fax printed first, and so on.4. Speakers plugged in, says "audio device not installed"

My speakers are plugged into the correct port, the light for them is on but it says the drivers for this device are not installed, I click reinstall driver and it doesnt work, I bought this thing called Driver Genius and I did what I could, I didnt really understand much but I did what the directions told me, still didnt work! can anyone help me. I have a Compaq Persario and Windows Vista Home Basic. My speakers are Creative.

Also, try taking a look at this HP Support video and document on fixing sound problems. Chances are one of the steps described will fix the problem.
