  • Why does my printer cut off the top of copies?cc=us

My printer cuts off the top of copies.  Is there some way to adjust the printing size at the top?

gedwardc, what is the size that you are trying to scan? Is it a legal document or a normal letter sized document? Has it worked before, and this is a recent developement?
I want you to do hard reset in the meantime, so unplug the machine from both the back of the unit and the wall outlet for thirty second, and then plug it back in.
    Let me know!

  • Hp printer cuts off right side of paper

    Hello,
I am new to this but I have a problem that needs to be answered pretty quickly please, when I try to print out an email the right side of the email gets cut off, I checked the printer setting and even the preferences but everything is alright, nothing wrong there, but every time I print I happens. Also when I go to print out a picture the picture turns out yellow, please I tried everything I could think of.
    This question was solved.

Hi - Can you provide the model of printer you're using?  That will help determine what steps to take to troubleshoot.  Typically though, when the print out is being clipped or cut off, it has to do with a paper size mismatch between the printer driver software and the settings in the software you're using (i.e. MS Word).  Make sure that the paper size settings in the sw (typically under page setup) match those of the printer (typically under printer setup).
As for the color issue, the first step will be to run a self test page on the printer to determine whether it is an issue with the ink cartridges.  How to run the test page from the printer is dependant on the printer model.
    Hope that helps.

  • Texts cuts off when I open a pdf document

I bought an ebook and whenever I open it in Adobe Reader the text on the right side is partially cut off.  I thought it was a page size thing, but that didn't work at all.  I've opened it in other formats so I know nothing is wrong with the file.  I just find it weird as I've never had this issue with Adobe and can't figure out what to do.

Yeah.  I thought it was because the zoom was so high.  It was at like 300% but when i zoomed out to 100 the document itself just shrank so it was a page in the middle of a grey background, but the text was totally uneffected.

  • HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer cuts off bottoms of letters

My HP PSC 2355 All-In-One Printer cuts off the bottoms of letters. Photos are fine. 3rd HP black cartrige, got worse today.
     On a Mac, 10.9.3.

    Hi @timed
I would like to help you with your 2355 printer. A printer reset can initiate an alignment. Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue, and let me know the outcome of your efforts; Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems with the Diagnostic Page.
If the issue remains unresolved after following all of the steps in the link above, I recommend contacting HP.
Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. HP will, at HP's option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
They could even determine after troubleshooting that it is a problem with the printer, in which case they may offer you a discount on a newer model.
The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.
    I hope this helps.

How do I get the page to shift up by as little as 1/8" so it does not cut off the bottom coding of official documents? There is usually plenty of white space at the top. Center command does not seem to help.

You cannot change pdf files in Reader. You can set it to print with a shrink to fit option.

  • Printing cuts off top of heads

I use PSE4 on a WIN XP with all updates. I have a photo (originally 5x7) that I resized to 4x6. WHen I try printing it on my HP PHOTOSMART 7960 on 4x6 HP photo paper with tab the printer always cuts off the top of one head. I have tried sizing down the picture to 3.95 inches and then printing on 4x6 paper. I have tried everything else I can think of and it ALWAYS cuts off the top of their heads. WHen I print the photo with a different photo software the print comes out O.K.
What Am I not selecting, etc. to print the photo as what-you-see-is-is-what-you-get in PSE4?

I'm beginning to suspect the aspect ratio of this image isn't correct. Do this experiment and see what happens:
First, make a copy of the image file you're working on so you don't experiment on an original.
Have the copy open on your desktop (in Editor), then go to Image>Resize>Image Size. Make sure there is no checkmark next to Resample, and then start increasing (or decreasing) just the number in the resolution box until the dimensions of the image are just slightly over 4 X 6. Make sure it is 4.something by 6.something, though. Once you get to that point, click OK and accept the change.
With the resized image open on your desktop, select the Rectangular Marquee tool. Once you've selected it, choose "Fixed Size" in the tool's option bar and set the dimensions to 4 X 6. Use the tool and select a perfect 4 X 6 portion of the image, then do Image>Crop. Now try printing.
Most cameras do not produce an image file that can be reduced to a perfect sized print, so a little bit of cropping is usually required. I know that the images from my camera wind up coming closest to 6 X 4.5, so I always have to take off at least 1/2 inch on that dimension that has to be 4 inches.
I don't promise this will work, but I did notice that you said you did no cropping, and that could be the reason why you're not getting the print size you want.

  • Exporting to PDF cutting off right side of the page.

I am exporting a Crystal Report to PDF. This works perfect on our development and staging server. However, on the production server the PDF is cut off on the right. Like, instead of being 8.5" wide, it looks to be about 7.5" wide? It just cut off the right side of the PDF. Very weird. Republished the site but did not change anything.
But here's the odd part. We have another Crystal Report on the production server that exports to PDF just fine. Just this one report, "invoice2.rpt", is having issues. "invoice2.rpt" was originally copied from "invoice.rpt" so all of the settings (that I have looked at) are exactly the same. This report was formatted a little differently than the original.
Does anyone have any thoughts about what might be causing this to happen?
    Thanks,
    Randy

    Hi Randy,
I have seen a similar issue in the past and the problem was due to the fact that some fields and or objects were placed in part or completely outside of the margins of the report. This can be checked opening the report from Crystal Reports > Design view.
I would suggest opening the report from Crystal Reports, select the option 'No printer' from File menu>Page setup and double-check that the report has been created inside the report margins (From Design View, the report space should be white except if the background colour has been modified).
If this does not help, please clarify if the issue is faced from Crystal Reports or from Business Objects Enterprise/Crystal Reports Server and the version you are using.
    Thank you,
    Selenia

  • I'm using Acrobat Pro 11. When printing an email to PDF most of the time it cuts off the text on the right margin. Setting look OK and I've moved things around on the email, but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Is there an Adobe setting I'm missi

Like I said above, print to Adobe pdf and it wants to cut off the text on the right margin. I can't see to find a setting that changes this. Any ideas??

OK, so I have now found that this is apparently normal for iTunes, to only accept mpeg 4 movie files, all the searching I did before I must have worded it wrong because I couldn't find anything about this, incredibly. Had been looking for why iTunes won't take all the files it previously did, like if it had been changed, and it hasn't, it's allegedly always taken only mpeg 4 files. Also I had been searching for why iTunes crashes every time I try and add/import anything but mpeg 4 files, and even sometimes with mpeg 4 files. That isn't normal, it's supposed to just do nothing apparently as I've just found out. So for these reasons I didn't find the answer despite my searching all over the web.
So I guess that answers my own question now, but I'm still perplexed as to why I absolutely, definitely, without any doubt, had several hundred movies of a few different video file types loaded, accessible and playable in my iTunes library that everything here claims iTunes never accepted. It apparently shouldn't have been possible for me to have done this, but for probably 10 years it's been this way.
Perhaps since I don't remember adding these files to iTunes anymore recently than maybe 6 or 7 years ago, the iTunes back then did accept all kinds of file types? Or could I have somehow had some video codecs or software that expanded the capability of my movie players like Quicktime Player that unwittingly also allowed iTunes to take those files as well? All I know is somehow it worked! So now my question is how did I have it working before, so that maybe I can make it work again.

  • Cut off the top and left sides of iFrame?

I have a page I'd like to place as an iFrame in another page.
Is it possible to move the framed page up and to the left so
    that the
frame cuts off the top and left sides of the framed page?

    Jim,
Thanks a TON!  That worked well.  It took me a bit longer to key it because the keyer didn't key out all of the color to black as well with the compound clip but I was able to make it happen.  Video is up and I appreciate the help!

HI!  My HP psc 950 all-in-one is printing half the page....cuts off the top portion of what I am printing.  Not sure what happened to the printer.  Came home one day and the printing wasn't the same.  Possibly the kids could have fiddled with it but no one is owning up to it.    Any solution to get the printer printing normal again?
    Thanks

Yes, but the part cut off the bottom of the first page should appear at the top of the second. No content should be lost, just split between pages.
Safari makes little or no attempt to keep a line of print or a picture from splitting across pages, seemingly just imaging the web page as one large image and printing so many inches or millimeters of the image per page.

  • Printing cut off in acrobat pro x

In Acrobat Pro X for Windows, some documents cut off the right side by about 1". I've tried every setting change I can think of and nothing works to get the document centered again.
    Any thoughts?

It certainly would help if you would provide us some specifics of the type of printer you are having this problem with, the driver you use with it, and the characteristics of the files that fail in this manner. It would also help if you could advise what OS version you are running on (Windows 7 64-bit) for example.
My guess is that this is not a PostScript printer and that perhaps the OS-resident printer driver is running out of memory to rasterize complex pages, but that is a stab-in-the-dark.
Come back with more info and we'll try to help.
