HP pro x2 410 g1 on Windows 7 ... TouchPad Not Working! Keyboard works fine.

I am currently trying to set this up on Windows 7. I have tried both x86 and x64.  I am haveing no luck however finding the driver for the touchpad.  The keyboard works great but I am currently having to use a USB mouse.  I have tried a bunch of Synaptics drivers from HP and the Synaptics website with no luck.
Any ideas?  This is the only thing holdng me up.
Thanks

    Thanks Miles4Ever!
When you say converted, do you mean you got a dialogue box after double clicking saying the file needed to be converted?  Or some other kind of procedure.  thanks again.

  • Full Acrobat Pro CS6 trial 32767 days left but not opening (printing working)

I have had this problem now 6 months. I have full Acrobat Pro CS6 with my Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premium packet. First I had unsolved problem to use CC with CS. I used 1h on phone with adobe help and no solution. After that I have had problem to use Acrobat and no will to try to solve it cause I'm so dissapointed with your support. But now I really need to get this work and use my acrobat pro I have paid for (too much)
Okay the problem seems to have something to do with CC and CS. I first hade CS and tried to install CC. No success before I unistalled CS6. Now I reinstalled CS6 and the Acrobat pro is not starting. It says I have 32767 days trial left and it does not let me use the trial. It just gives the trial window again and again. The adobe pdf-printing works if I just close the trial window. (Again there is some problem that i have to end acrotray process every time before printing).
I have tried all of this solutions for no help: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html
I think the reason is that you try to hide too much **** in windows registers to get illeagal users not to use your products that paying customers get problems trying to use to legal products with different user at same computer.
other apps (ps, id, ai..) are working okay.
Any help or should I just reinstall my windows to clean the adobe **** from my computer.

Okay I now tried the solution 8 in Myleniums link: Reinstall Creative Suite.
No help. I tried to uninstall everything to do something with CS. I installed CS6 again and PS activates OK (some strange behavior. see below) and when I try to open Acrpbat pro X the same trial window appears not let me to use the acrobat.
I have had CS3 and CC installed on this computer. I think CC still interfere some how with my CS6. For example when I reinstalled CS6 still tried to activate with the account the CC was registered.
Maybe there is no easy way to get this Adobe **** working so I have to reinstall the windows. PLEASE ADOBE HELP ME TO PREVENT THIS.

I don't have a physical mouse on my dell m4600 laptop, just using the touchpad. It works, but works as a mouse. So i can't do any two finger scrolling etc, and in Mouse & Touchpad system settings there's only a mouse tab.

  • [SOLVED] HP Touchpad not detected or working with kernel 3.4.6-1

On my HP Folio 13 (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HP_Folio_13), the touchpad stopped working tonight after upgrading to kernel 3.4.6-1.
Downgrading back to 3.4.5 fixed it. I've tried AUR xf86-input-synaptics-led and the stock xf86-input-synaptics packages.
Doesn't even seem to be detected, as there's not even a mention or reference to "synaptics" in /var/log/xorg.0.log, and it's nowhere to be found under /dev/inputs/.
It isn't listed under "xinput -list" either (normally shows as "SynPS/2 Synaptics Touchpad").

anrxc wrote:Hello you need to rebuild synaptics-led with the new kernel if you have it installed. It replaces/overrides psmouse module in the kernel, and if it fails to load you would be left without a touchpad.
Yep that was the problem. I'd forgotten I'd compiled and installed the psmouse module using synaptics-led (/face-palm)
The AUR package, along with xf86-input-synaptics-led, did make the double-tap top-left corner hotspot work to turn the touch pad on and off. The LED light showing whether the pad is on or off never worked, however.
So - I'm now back to stock xf86-input-synaptics and on kernel 3.4.6-1 and all is working as it should.

  • Windows 7 not genuine, but work since I purchased the laptop.

I owned my t61 for 6 months without a problem, this morning I wake up turn it on and a small window states my copy of Windows 7 is counterfeit.  So I can Microsoft, they stating I need the PRODUCT KEY and buy a new one for $199, + tax.  I think this is just a scam with Microsoft.
I email the seller and he provided me with a Product key, so I call Microsoft back and now they tell my the Product Key is not valid and I still need to purchase and new Product Key.
Now I have to either downgrade to Vista, if I can get the CD's from Lenovo or go back to XP.
Anything I can do to or say to Microsoft get keep 7 alive on my laptop.

It is an issue between you and the seller of the T61, as Lenevo has never supplied Windows 7 for a T61.
It appears that the seller has installed a copy of Win 7 using a key that was likely obtained at a too good to be true price from an eBay auction (or some similiar source).  There are reports all over the Web of eBay sellers auctioing Technet or MSDN keys for Microsoft products in breach of the End User Licence Agreements for those keys.  Microsoft later cancels those keys when it detects they are being used in breach of the relevant EULA that Microsoft supplied them under.
It is a SCAM, but not by Microsoft, so talk to the seller of your T61.

  • Photo Libary for Windows? Not sure lightroom works?

    Hi all,
Please can someone point me in the right Direction for a Photo libary for my design studio...
I use lightroom for my camera photo collections and its ace...but Im looking for a programme thats similar but can sort all our images and Adobe files as a quickview photolibary showing the image + file name
We have a folder for each client with many subfolders... so ideally a similar progamme to lightroom (Adobe or another) that can compile a quick view of the files that are in these folders which comprise of:
Jpeg(rgb), Jpeg(cmyk), Tifs, PSD, and if possible.... AI, EPS
    any help would be amazing!
    cheers

Or explorer, if all you want is the image and file name and havn't got a copy of Bridge, no special application required..just the OS built in file browser set to show thumbnails.

  • Have a MacBook Pro with OS X.  Loaded windows 8 in bootcamp and lost trackpad. Keyboard will work if hit esc key at opening windows screen.  Any ideas? Microsoft has none.

I loaded Windows 8 update on my MacBook Pro on the bootcamp partition and now my trackpad doesn't work on the windows side.  The keyboard works if I first hit the esc button at the opening screen.  Microsoft was no help.  I don't know how to delete the driver for the trackpad in OS X and reinstall to see if it corrects the problem.  Any Ideas?

have found a temp solution now, before apple releases its update. this will make ur trackpad work but without any gestures and u'll have to press to select the left or right click.
    here's the solution.
    1. go to device manager
2 locate ur trackpad and right click and choose to update the driver.
    3. select browse my computer for driver software.
4 select "let me pick from the list of device drivers on my compuet".
5 just keep pressing the "NEXT" button after that.
thats its u'll have a working trackpad for now.

  • Windows Updates not working

We are having a problem with Windows update not wanting to work with the
    filters up and running.
When I drop the filtering Windows Update from the workstations works just
fine. When I have the filters up we get an error code of Error number:
0x80072EFE from the windows update which is only identified as
ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_ABORTED Some network problem or the server/proxy
    reset the socket connection.
Any ideas on what filter exceptions I need to put in BM to allow this
    traffic??
    TIA!

    Do what I did.
Installed Windows System Update Service on a Windows 2003 Server. It's free.
Then I added a rule to bypass the proxy for the WSUS server only.
So WSUS server downloads direct from MS and stores them locally
The Clients download from the WSUS Server saving on bandwidth on the
    Internet Connection
    It's another work around.
    Rgds
    Simon.

  • HP Pro x2 410 G1 - Touchpad not working in windows 7

    Hi all,
I have a HP Pro x2 410 G1 which came with windows 8.1. I have rebuilt it with windows 7 (x64) and the touchpad no longer works.
    - I've checked that all devices have the latest drivers.
    - I've tried older drivers for both the chipset and touchpad.
    - checked to see if there is a way to disable/enable the touchpad (ie. hotkeys/fn keys) Cant seem to find such functionality for this model.
Not sure what else to try....
    Thanks

    Hello docfx

  • Satellite Pro L500-19X boots ok but touchpad and keyboard fail

Satellite Pro L500-19X running windows 7.
The machine boots ok, then at the login screen neither the touchpad or keyboard works.
The only way I can overcome this is to go back to a previous restore point.
After this, the machine runs fine until I power off, on powering up again, I get the same issue.
The machine has the latest updates applied.
    Any pointers welcomed.

    Hi lfc1892,
Have you tested external input devices? Maybe your internal devices are faulty and must be replaced. In this case the external input devices should work properly! :)
Furthermore you should follow the instructions posted by Dr.Lamp. Check this also in safe mode and in BIOS. In worst case you have to reinstall Windows

  • Bootcamp 5.1.1 on Mac Pro Cylinder can't install Windows 8

    Hi,
I've gone through almost every discussion regarding the common issue "Windows coud not update the computer's boot configuration" but none is related to Bootcamp version 5.1.1 and latest Mac Pro cylinder.
I already tried the solution presented by Jarvil at this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23545780#23545780
Based on Jarvil's solution there is a very important thing that is not happening in my case, that is that I never get the option to boot from the "Windows" partition. I only have 3 options, 1) Macintosh HD 2) Recovery 3) EFI Boot.
By not having the option to boot from Windows partition I automatically deviate from Jarvil's solution.
So, I proceed with EFI boot, I reach the step where I have to select the partition and I pick the 4th partition and it says that Windows can't be installed in this partition so I delete/format it and proceed with installation and it goes all well until the very end where it's finishing the install that I get the message:
"Windows coud not update the computer's boot configuration".
I also tried skipping the install --> login into Mac OS X --> Disk Utility --> Delete partition --> Create ExFAT partition (tried FAT also) --> Reboot --> EFI Boot (Windows partition still not available) --> Format partition --> Proceed with install --> Same error again.
After the error, it reboots and then I get a blue screen (**** Windows blue screens) with a message:
    Recovery
Your PC Needs to be repaired
The Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information.
    File: \BCD
    Error code: 0x0000034
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.
So I reboot holding Option key and now the partition Windows appears and if I boot from it I get the same blue screen with the recovery error. So I reboot again and login into OSX, go to Disk Utility and delete the "Untitled" partition and I recreate it using ExFAT but then it gets stuck "Preparing to partition disk".
    I'm attaching snapshots.
I really hope that someone from Apple support can provide a solution. Thank you very much in advance.
    Alejandro

It's not an Apple response but it is something which worked for me. This is an exerpt from a post I made on another site. It's a bit involved and you may think this should not be necessary (and you'd be right) but if you want to try it you're welcome. No guarantess.
Install Windows again just like you did before with Bootcamp (but you may have to remove any traces of it first).
So starting again with Bootcamp Assistant and with Macintosh using the whole disc again begin the process.
Allow Windows to be installed as normal.
When the BCD error box opens up DO NOT click on OK - immediately do a hard shutdown of the Mac by holding the power button. This is so the changes are not rolled back.
Start up the Mac again holding the Alt key and choose the USB EFI Boot option in the boot menu (it will be orange). At this point if you get a Windows blue screen error shutdown and take out the USB then restart the machine holding Alt and at the boot menu plug in the USB again and do the above.
At the installer's start screen press shift + F10 to get a command prompt.
    In the command prompt type
    diskpart and hit enter
    type
    list volume  and hit enter
Note the volume letters and numbers of all the volumes .  One should be an EFI partition of type FAT32 and it will have no drive letter.
    Now type
list volume and hit enter (note the letters and numbers of the displayed volumes) One will be your EFI partition of FAT32 type and it will have no letter, just a number.
    type
select volume X (where X is the number of your EFI partition) and hit enter
    type
    assign letter=B and enter
    type
    exit and enter
    type
bcdboot C:\Windows /l en-GB /s B: /f ALL   *** note the /l en-GB is for locality and language and will default to English US if not changed. Obviously you need to change to your own locale and language code***
press enter (after checking all spaces etc). You may also struggle to find the \ key on your keyboard, it may change position once in command prompt!.
After a few seconds it should report that the boot files were written. If it does that you can type in
wpeutil reboot and press enter at which point your Mac will reboot. Hold the Alt key and choose your new EFI Boot option and hopefully Windows will boot.
Obviously all of this can be a little daunting and should not be taken on lightly. Having said that Windows is not currently installing and you've got nothing to lose. You can always go back to what you have now (with TM backups of course, and maybe even without).
    Good luck

  • How do i get win 8.1. *pro* for mac parallels, deauthorizing win 8.1 pro and license rules for windows vms

ok, i've seen this question asked a number of times.  i know the general procedure:
    - first download some installer things to a window box so i can make a bootable DVD / flash drive
    - go the mac and use the DVD / usb stick to install the virtual machine
    great.. BUT :
    1) unfortunately, i'm still really confused at the  most basic part which is where (link) do i actually get the initial download thing to create the 8.1 *PRO* from microsoft and where (link) / how do i pay for the subscription key to install the thing????
i keep seeing a link for windows 8 or windows 8.1 where windows PRO is NEVER mentioned.  i ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE a) PRO 64 bit and NOT vanilla windows and b) it MUST BE A FULL INSTALL (i'm not upgrading from windows 7, 8 or 8.1 NON pro..  i'm going
to be installing this thing on a brand new system.
i'm an IT guy for two decades and i can tell you trying to find, download, install a clean version of windows 8.1 PRO is a royal pita and nothing about windows 8.1 PRO is intuitive on the MS site.  it's almost as if they do NOT want you to install the
thing.   i'm not trying to bust jewels here, i'm just being honest and providing feedback that you folks need to make this much more clear and intuitive.  people really shouldN'T have to post on forums to find out how to purchase, download and enter
in a subscription key for a base version of an OS.  it's crazy.
    2) once i can figure out how to download, install and register the darn thing ;)... i'm curious how the licensing works.
2a) first if my windows 8.1 pro experiment on mac parallels sucks, i want to be able to remove the authorization so i can reinstall 8.1 pro on another system.   can i / how do i do this in my scenario?
2b) i actually already bought windows pro 8.1 about a year ago (to upgrade a laptop that came with 8 that i needed to upgrade to vanilla 8.1 then to finally to pro) so that i could windows phone 8.1 development with simulator on the laptop.  unfortunately
the laptop maxed out at 4G and the performance of the emulator was ridiculously slow that it's unusable.  i'd love to somehow be able to put the laptop back to windows *vanilla* 8.1 and reclaim my 8.1 pro that i *already* purchased by removing the authorization
from that laptop allowing me to reinstall the full 8.1 pro with the same key on the mac with parallels.  then i can sell the laptop that has sat there collecting dust for a year and regain my windows 8.1 pro investment vs having to buy another copy for
    the mac.
i have no idea how to do this though i think it should be possible.  can anybody tell me where / how i do this?
note the win pro 8.1 install never went well so i actually had some guy from MS login to my laptop remotely and do the install.. in doing so i believe he wiped away the original windows vanilla 8.1 recovery partition asus put on the drive meaning i'm not
sure i can get the laptop back to 8.1  or 8 vanilla so i can resell it functionally to another person while removing my 8.1 *pro* license from it.   any suggestions here highly welcome.
2c)  once i get the windows 8.1 pro installed in a vm under parallels, i'll have one licensed copy running.  my guess is that is what i'm limited to.  but when you start working with VMs the whole purpose is to be able to create multiple test
enviornments and dispose of them when you don't need them etc.   since the window will be tied to the single mac hw id, will i be able to install multiple *win* vms (duping an exising win vm for instance) from the one license  or must i purchase
multiple win licenses for each win vm on the SAME system?   if you need a new license for each vm, wouldn't i have to do a FULL WINDOWS INSTALL every time i wanted to create another windows VM.. THAT IS CRAZILY INEFFICIENT...
there has to be some kind of option to dup a windows licensed vm on the SAME system yes?  what are the rules / procedures for making this work.
i'm using parallels on mac as an example but the same question would apply to using hyperV (which i know nothing about at this point) as the virtual host platform as well.
i'm open to well thought out links that actually answer these questions succinctly in addition to comments here
    thanks in advance

  • How do I fix the Database Organizer Error when using Acrobat 9 Pro on desktop PC with Windows 8.1 and 64-bit OS?

After loading Acrobat 9 Pro on my desktop PC (Windows 8.1; 64-bit OS), opening and closing a previously saved pdf file, I constantly get a message pop-up that indicates a "database organizer" error.
    How do I fix this?
I have read multiple responses at various forums and they do not seem to apply, or have not worked for others, with regard to the details of my version of Acrobat and Windows OS.
I'm beginning to think that the only solution is to purchase the latest version of Acrobat Pro and install it on my PC, which, of course, I would prefer not to do, unless this is my only viable option.
Can this problem, specific to my version of Acrobat and Windows OS, be fixed or is the simple answer:  purchase the latest version of Acrobat Pro, because there is no fix for my version of Acrobat/Windows OS?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
