As a long time Windows 10 tester, I have found by and large that the Windows 8.1 drivers will work, albeit sometimes in a limited fashion.  So if you're running the Intel 4600 Graphics chip, use the Windows 8.1 drivers, they will work.

  • HP Probook 450 G2 drivers

I've noticed that the support page for drivers have been updated recently. As it turns out a lot of drivers aren't available anymore. One of which is the correct driver to install the USB ports. Anyone knows where I can still find the correct drivers for the USB ports? A lot of the old posts seem to result into a dead end.

HP is updating the drivers list daily, Please be patient. They'll put all the necessary updated drivers within a few days.

I bought a new note book of HP Probook 450 G2 with Free DOS installed by factory. I am quite familier with DOS, Partitions & technical staff. I purchased this Probook 450 G2 becase of its beautifull design & specs, Its price suite me so I purchased it without Windows installed.

This HP Probook is purchased 2 days back.
If anyone know how to resolve this issue.
    Help will be appreciated.

    You're very welcome.
    Sometimes strange things happen.
The error messages don't always match up with the real problem.
It sounds like Windows can't find the drive and when it can't find the drive that normally means the applicable sata driver needs to be installed.

  • Can't adjust the brightness of my hp probook 450 G0 with FN+ f9 and f8

i have hp probook 450 G0 and i am finding the solution to adjust the brightness of my laptop by using F keys...i have installed all the drivers of my latop and i am using win 8.1 32-bit ..plz help..urgennt solution...before this i was using win 8.1 64 bit but this option worked...so plz help

    Hi:
Make sure under the display adapters category that you see the name(s) and model number(s) of the graphics adapters listed there.
If you see a graphics device labeled Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, the applicable graphics driver was not installed.
You also need to install the Intel chipset installation utility and reboot before installing the graphics driver.
Not having the chipset and graphics drivers installed are the most likely reasons you cannot adjust the screen brighness (it is stuck on maximum).

  • Windows 7 Ultimate x64 BOOT Failure on HP ProBook 450 G1...

    Dear forum viewes and experts...
I hope you can provide me with your insights on this problem i am having...
I bought a new laptop HP ProBook 450 G1 (i5 4200M, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 2GB ATI Graphics card). The laptop comes with DOS free operating system.
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate from ISO file on a USB stick, and then activated the Windows.
After updating all drivers and having a clean device manager with no hardware left as unknown, i figured out that the laptop fails to make a cold BOOT.
After several trials, and installations. the problem remained the same. I changed the installation to Windows 8.1 Pro and the problem remained the same.
On cold booting, the laptop after showing HP logo in start-up starts to show Windows Logo animation but in Super Slow Motion for about 6-8 minutes, then followed by strange sounds which force me to shut it down by pressing power button for long until it shuts down.
After huge number of trail and error, i found out that if I entered BIOS Setup (by pressing esc then F10) and then exiting it without doing any changes or even without saving, the Laptop boots Windows 7 very smoothly (in about 15-18 seconds) and works fine. it also can make endless number of smooth restarts without any problem.
If it is shut down then turned on, the boot failure is the outcome.
The only way to make a successful cold BOOT (i.e after a shut down) is to enter BIOS setup mode (by pressing esc then F10), then exiting it within seconds without changing anything or saving, then it boots smoothly.
I tried MBR fixes through command prompt in Recovery Mode, I tried to change booting to make it boot as LEGACY or UEFI Hybrid. The BIOS is updated to the latest frimware on HP website verion 1.2 dated 15 July 2014.
NO HELP.....All lead to the same disappointing result.
Any idea whether this is a hardware issue/software issue/BIOS issue?
Your insights will be highly appreciated

Can you post a screenshot with the PCI\VEN hardware ids of the bluetooth device? The image below shows an example of what we need to identify the device properly.

  • I want to use finger print on HP Probook 450 G1 .. Windows 8.1 Pro

Please help me i just Bought HP probook 450 g1 .. and i installed the validity fingerprint sensor succesfully but i don't know how to use the finger print or where i can find it .. i downloaded simplepass .. tha black virsion and i couldn't understand any thing .. and l keeps telling me '' Simplepass can use your windows pass word to log on'' and whenever i write it  .. the program tells me  .. the password you enterd doesn't match .. and i tried to install HP Client Security Manager .. i keep telling me that ERROR 1001 .. i i want to do is the use the fingerprint ... is that possible in that laptop .. i think i'm going to die

    Amr-Zero,
    No dying!
As far as I know, your computer is not going to run SimplePass -- it wants to run the HP Client Security Manager.
There are some prerequisites as listed on the System Requirements page.  Amongst these: the File Sanitizer Software, both .NET framework 3.5 and 4.5, and others.  It is likely that your system has all the necessary software, although you may not have installed the File Sanitizer yet.  It is available from your computer's driver page.
If you do not yet have .NET Framework 4.5, you can download install .NET Framework 4.5.1:  Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1
It is of vital importance that you have all your Windows Updates in place.  Make sure they are indeed complete.  If you are one of the people in the world that do not believe in Windows Updates, turn them off later -- this is not the time.
    HP ProBook 450 B1 Notebook Drivers - Windows 8.1
You need to remove and banish that SimplePass software from the system.
Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features > find and remove the SimplePass software
    Next:
Create a Restore Point   Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8
Close all your programs and Shut down the computer
Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook
Boot the computer and log in
Reminder:  Hard Reset is just a device Reset.  The Hard Reset procedure does not wipe out your files nor does it destroy your Windows setup in any way.  It just "clears the cobwebs".  Depending on the cause of the problem, this kind of "reset" can fix a variety of computer glitches.
    ==========================================================================
Unfortunately, this is the extent of my knowledge on the subject.  You have a "business" computer and this is "business" software.  I perfectly understand that YOU might be just someone sitting in your house somewhere on the planet -- it is the COMPUTER and the SOFTWARE that is the difference here.
There is a White Paper on the subject in your Manuals section -- it is useful if you have some background in the subject at all.
    Click the Kudos Thumbs-Up!
It is a nice way to say “Thank You" for the help.
Although I strive to reflect HP's best practices, I do not work for HP.
    Kind Regards,

  • Unable to use HP Probook 450 G2 Fingerprint feature

I purchased a HP Probook 450 G2 with free dos version yesterday. I successfully installed windows 8.1 pro on it with all HP drivers from the site. But apparently, HP drivers web page for my probook doesn't offer me with "simplepass"software for the finger print feature. So, I downloaded it from a third party webpage. I checked from BIOS and the fingerprint option is enabled, I have also installed the validity sensor driver and no matter what I simply don't get any "finger print"option on the program (Simplepass), all they show is "PIN or CHARACTER Pass" and nothing else. Similarly, on the "SIGN IN"option of the windows, they don't show any fingerprint options for security. All my drivers are updated.  Validity sensor driver is 4.5.133.0, SimplePass is of 2015. I am starting to give up because I have googled as much I could and tried all the safest approach, still didn't work. Someone help? Thank You in advance.

Please check in the Device Manager and make sure you see the Validity Fingerprint Sensor in BIOMETRIC as shown in the below picture   If you find Validity Fingerprint Sensor in Device manager, please click on the below link to download and install the complete Suitehttp://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=6943827&swItemId=ob_138571_1&swEnvOid=4158#   Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again  **Click the White Thumbs Up Button on the right to say Thanks**Make it easier for other people to find solutions by marking a Reply 'Accept as Solution' if it solves your problem. Thank You,GBL84Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP

  • Probook 450 GPU temp

Hi, I recently bought a Probook 450 G2 with an AMD Radeon R5 M255 GPU and there's something strange about it. Whenever I open Speccy or GPU-Z, the temperature of the GPU is displayed as 511 degrees Celsius doing absolutely nothing. That's pretty much impossible without bursting into flames, but what can be the cause of this problem? I have already re-installed the drivers, making sure that I had the newest drivers. I even re-installed Windows. Nothing works. Help! AWeijs
