Hp probook 4520s stuck at hp logo screen without shoing boot options

while battery is present, hp probook 4520s stuck at hp logo screen without showing any boot options .   Without battery , by connecting AC adapter, it works normally

If your notebook is new enough to have the UEFI diagnostics installed run the barttery test there instead. There is a System Diagnostic UEFI version 3.7.0 update available for your notebook. Install that one if you haven't already done so.

  • [LENOVE G460] Stuck at Lenovo Logo Screen when a Boot-able USB plugged in

    The subject says it all.
I was thinking of doing a Live Install of a Linux Distribution using a Bootable USB.
So I plugged the Boot-able USB and then Power the Laptopn ON and then press F2 to enter the BIOS SETUP
But even after a few minutes the screen doesn't even budge from the Lenovo Logo... It just says "Entering Setup..."
First I thought something was wrong with my Boot-able USB so I checked it by using another laptop and TADA!!!! I managed to enter the bios setup screen, change the boot order and then start the Linux Installation without any problem.
And then I decided to do it again on the Lenovo G460 and then... The same Stuck at The Lenovo Logo Screen happened again.
Could Anyone shed some light on this problem?
    Thanks XD

  • G500S Stuck in Lenovo Logo Screen

I have a g500s which runs with Win7. Last month it got stuck in the logo screen i tried the flee-power process but it did not work so i took it to the service center and they said they have to change the keypad since it was causing the issue, my laptop is still in warranty so i got it changed for free. i could use the laptop without any issue for one week. and the problem starts again and this is really getting annoying.
when i press ctrl+alt+del it restarts thats the only thing i can do, and the recovery key doesn't work.
i have tried the flee power.

    hi lipokjmr,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
If the system get's stuck in the Lenovo Screen,
It means that a hardware cannot be initialized.
Since the system is still under Warranty I suggest you call Lenovo Technical Support and Report that the problem showed up again, they may look for other Parts that is causing the Issue or it may be a diff Part Failing.
    Hope this helps

Add me to the list of people furious with Apple about this problem...
...I have just got back from a 2 week holiday in Spain, and on day 3 of the holiday my iPhone rebooted itself and stuck at the Apple logo.
What's more annoying, I'd purchased a data abroad plan from o2 for £50 and hardly used it because I couldn't use my iPhone because it was stuck on the **** Apple logo. o2 will not refund the plan I purchased because I had started to use it (about 2.3MB to be precise).
Good job my girlfriend had her trusty Sony Ericsson phone because at least it WORKS as a phone, unlike this **** iPhone 3G which only has one use - as an expensive paperweight.
Come on Apple, at least admit there is a problem and show your loyal customers that you are actually aware there is a serious problem that is causing your iPhones to become utterly useless.
I'm seriously thinking of gettting rid of this iPhone and getting a cheap no frills phone - at least I can use it to make calls.

HELP! After defrag I boot get stuck at XP logo screen!

i have some of your sypmtons for 2 days now... i have no idea what caused them...
i get the blue screen after rebooting, some apps don't launch or only launch after opening them 2 or 3 times. some apps crash that haven't crashed before... also i get the safe boot screen where one can enter unix commands, i enter "exit" there after loging in with my log and password... very strange...
i did the ram zapping thing described here on the forums, after no chenge i reinstalled the system from installer DVD and upgraded to 10.4.6 again, same thing happens again and again, sometimes i get the login window, sometimes i get the blue screen and only the mouse cursor and then i have to ctrl-apple-escape once or more to reboot...
i'm trying to repair permissions with disk utility, let's see if that helps....

My iPhone 5c is stuck on the loading screen when you boot up, what can i do to fix it?

Try a reset.  Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.

  • IPod Touch 4G Stuck On Apple Logo Screen

So I just recently jail broke my iPod touch 4G and was using iFile to delete some default apps and stuff that was taking up space on my device.  I only need to use the Music app, so all of the other default apps can be erased.  I must have accidentally deleted something in regards to the music app because I am not able to transfer music onto the device using iTunes.  I turned my iPod off then and turned it back on and this is where the major problem came in.  It's stuck on the Apple Logo screen and will not boot back up or anything.  I have tried putting it in DFU mode and doing every kind of reset or restore and none of that has worked.  Now it doesn't even show up in iTunes.  Unfortunately I don't remember every thing I deleted when using iFile, so I cannot provide much information regarding that.  My iPod has worked perfectly fine until I jail broke it, which I probably shouldn't have even done but none the less if someone has any possible genius solution to my problem, I would appreciate you leaving a comment.  Thanks.

See if yo missed anything here:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod 5 stuck on apple logo screen

last night(about 22 hours ago) i tried to update my ipod 5 to ios 8.2 I clicked the install button and then left my ipod on my desk charging. I came back about an hour later and it was stuck on the apple logo screen but with no progress bar. Every minute or so so about 10 minutes it started to glitch out and shut down right when the lock screen would show up. It has been on the apple logo screen since then and i just got back from school to find it stuck. Occasionally it will get a little dimmer, but about a minute later it will be bright again.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

  • Imac 5k stuck on apple logo screen after latest update

Hi - i have a magazine deadline and a major issue:
i've been having loads of kernel panics (see thread here Brand new imac 5k kernel panic) and having seen there was a new update figured it would be worth installing it to see if it fixed them as nothing so far suggested by apple support has helped. Once it had downloaded the update the OS said it needed to reboot to finish installation.  It got half way through the loading bar on the apple logo screen and got stuck. I left it an hour, came back still nothing. Left it another hour and it was still just stuck half way.  I rebooted into diagnostics and ran that and it said everything was fine but further reboots just get as far as halfway through the bar.  I'm now stuck as the computer was only a month or so old and i hadn't yet set up back up on it. I was still in the process of getting everything configured and over from my old machine.  Problem is I have a bunch of photos that were transferred on to it that i shot 2 weeks ago and I need them for a magazine deadline tomorrow and apple support options could only call me back on Thursday - if anyone can suggest anything i will be VERY grateful. I've already tried SMC and PRAM resets.

I did that, a fresh OS install and it worked for about 4 hours then i got a kernel panic

  • Ipod nano 7th gen stuck on apple logo screen

New iPod nano 7th gen.  At first attempt to upload songs, was prompted to update software.  So, software was updated and as I was installing software update to the iPod, I got a message stating that the iPod was in the process of a restore (I think this is what it said.  I didn't pay a whole lot of attention as i was not expecting any problems).  I continued with the restore because nothing had been uploaded to the iPod yet so nothing would be lost.  At this point, the device has been stuck on the apple logo screen for a couple of hours now.  The only response I can get from it is when I do a reset.  The screen will black as it should and then go right back to the logo and stay.  Please help.....Son not happy as this was one of his Christmas presents this morning.  Really not looking forward to a trip to the apple store on the day after Christmas.

I am afraid yo need to visit the store and possibly ask for a replacement. In some cases, doing the reset will correct any issues, but by the way you describe it, it freezes with apple logo. Better to get a replacement.

  • Computer won't start up, stuck on gray logo screen.

Hey I have been having this problem for about 2 days now. When I try to turn on my computer, it won't fully start up, it gets stuck on the grey screen with the apple logo and stays like that forever. I tried to fix the problem using single user mode, typing "/sbin/fsck -fy" as well as trying to go on recovery mode and pressing "repair" on disk utility, MacHD ect. Now I have a backup from a month ago but is there any way to fix the problem? The error is: incorrect number of thread records. Oh and I have bootcamp, windows on Mac that run fine, I'm guessing that might have messed with my computer a bit though.  Please let me know how to fix this soon. Thanks!

If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to fully boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    1. Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup) or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in the support article linked below, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
How to back up and restore your files
    2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode by holding down the key combination command-T at the startup chime. Connect the two Macs with a FireWire or Thunderbolt cable. The internal drive of the machine running in target mode will mount as an external drive on the other machine. Copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.

    3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.

  • N8 stuck of dim Logo screen when turned off

Hello, my mobile was working perfectly fine until I turned it off.
And as soon as I turned it off, it got stuck on dim NOKIA logo screen. It vibrates when I slide the side switch. And also when I press the Menu button the Lock screen comes, but when I press the Unlock tab it goes back to NOKIA logo   But doesnt do anything else... I really don't want to loose any data... If I wait until it runs out of battery (as the battery was also low, probablly 20-30% left) and then I plug the charger will it start working?
I want to keep the hard reset as a very very last option...
    Guidance please...
    Cheers

  • My Mac g5 is stuck on apple logo screen, please help!

I have a Mac g5 before they had intel (so its pretty old) and today it was stuck on the apple logo screen and the fans become really loud. I don't know what's wrong with it, I'm scared to do anything as I don't wanna lose all my files. I was going to take it to the apple store to get it fixed but if there is nothing they can do I don't wanna take a 45 min drive to get there. Any info will help! Thanks!
    Megan

    Hi Megan,
Most Apple stote don't know what a G5 is, nor will most even look at them or work on them, so call 1st if deciding to try that.
If worse comes to worse we can easily pull the drive(s) & get the info back most likely.
You'll have to power off, then hold alt key at bootup to see if any boot disks show up.
    If not...
Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...
    /sbin/fsck -fy
Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.
(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

Do you have the G5's Install Disc?

  • Iphone 5 Stuck at Apple Logo Screen

I finally updated my iphone 5 to latest ios when it begin to boot up. It got stuck at the apple logo screen and it been their for 30 mins i trun my phone off put it back on. I did a hard re-reset etc..
Also after a while it would go black real quick then return to apple logo screen.
I dont want to restore my phone because i dont have a recent backup for everything i have on my phone as of right now.
Is their any way i can backup my iphone at the apple logo screen then restore it?
Or any other methods to escape this apple logo screen of death?

Unfortunately, you are going to have to try to restore it. You will have to do this by putting your phone into DFU (recovery) mode.
    1. Open iTunes, plug your sync cable into your computer, but do not plug in your phone.
    2. Press and hold the power button and the home button at the same time. When the screen goes black, let go of the power button but continue to hold the home button for about 15 seconds. Once you do this, plug the sync cable into your phone.
    3. iTunes should recognize your phone and tell you it's in recovery mode.
    4. Restore your device.
    Hope this helps.

  • Ipod Nano stuck on apple logo screen

So my little brothers Ipod Nano 4th generation is stuck on the Apple logo screen. I've reset it a couple of times, but it won't leave the apple logo screen. I wasn't able to get it into disk mode, and my laptop wasn't regonizing it, but two days ago our desktop's Itunes recgonized it. Is there anything else I can do, or is it time to take a trip to an Apple Store? Any help would be, well, helpful

but two days ago our desktop's Itunes recgonized it
Since the desktop was able to recognize it, did you restore it in iTunes?
