HP ProBook 4530s, Windows 7 64 bit Blue Screen – Windows will not load

How do I get Windows to open. I have been having trouble this past week, Windows starts to load (Starting Window), then the blue screen is dsplayed.  Earlier this week I was able to use a restore point in January, and Window opened, but that restore point is not displayed now, only February restore points.  Below are the various error messages I received this week.

So pressing the power button and then immediately tapping the F8 key about every half second does not start Safe Mode?
Safe mode will allow you to access Windows system restore, which will allow you to recover to a restore point dated before you had this problem without deleting any of your data. System restore is also reversible.
That is a bit surprising. The test you posted the results of show that the memory and the hard disk are fine, so it is an operating system issue. If you try again to access safe mode without success then you only have a few options.
1) remove the disk from the notebook and put it in an enclosure to copy the data and files you have it to another PC
2) perform a factory image recovery to recover your notebook to a useable condition (unfortunately deleting all of your personal files and data)

  • Blue screen, computer will not boot up

My computer, when powered up gets stuck on a blue screen and will not boot up. I have restarted & held down the shift button for safe mode & it goes to a white screen with a grey apple icon but will not move past this screen. How do I get the computer to boot up?

Sounds like your system is hosed. Try [repairing the hard drive with Disk Utility|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417]. Of course, from the sounds of it, even if you get the drive repaired, it may not fix the problems with your system.
Do you have backups? If not, your only priority at the moment should be to figure out how to back up your data, or what data may still be intact if your drive is badly damaged. If you have another Mac, the easiest way to do this will be to boot the machine into [FireWire target mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1661] and copy whatever data you can.

  • Windows will not load on a Satellite A350 with 500GB Seagate external HDD

There is an issue with this A350-043 Laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium 64Bits, part number : PSAL6C-04S015
Simply put: when connected to a SEAGATE 9NK2AL-510 500GB SATA DRIVE EXTERNAL USB (s/n: 5QG1YH1E) Windows will not load, it goes upto and freeze just prior to the green moving bars. If the USB cord is pulled out and put back in for a second, Windows continues to load normally and all is well.
Otherwise, the OS will take up to 15 minutes to load. Looking in the BIOS features, there is no option to boot from USB available, so it cannot be disabled. I have upgraded the BIOS of the Toshiba to the latest version with no change in that issue.
I have tested and confirmed that the issue persist no matter which USB port is used.
The external drive is fully fonctional and there is no errors or issues with it when Windows is loaded. I am reported this issue to Seagate as well as Toshiba in the hopes that a solution can be offered on that, but did not hear back on anything as yet.

You mean the notebook needs 15min to load the Windows OS even if the external HDD is not connected?
This sounds weird and I doubt this can be related to any software issue
First of all you should check the booting order in the BIOS the USB should be set at last or second last position.
Secondly you should check if the same issue would still persist after an new OS installation in some cases the booting procedure could be affected due to installed software and background processes.
But if the new OS installation does not help and if the issue will still persists then I assume that an hardware problem (motherboard????) could be the reason for that and therefore an notebook technician should be contacted!!!
    Thats my opinion

My iphone4 is stuck on a blue screen and will not shut off or restart, I have never dropped or had a problem  before....help?

Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I am a Vista SP2 user that has been getting blue screens recently when trying to boot up. I can come up in safe mode, sometimes with networking but when I go to copy data to my external HDD so I can do a system restore again, I get the BSOD. I have tried to restore from a chk point and still get errors. I need to gather my data off the drive so I can do a restore but I cannot get my data due to it fails in the middle of the copy. Any ideas what could be causing this.

  • My imac will not boot- it gets stuck on blue screen and will not go any further

Since the last update to Snow Leopard- My computer seems to perform fine, but when I restart the computer or shut it down and then turn it back on- it gets hung. SOmetimes I get the You need to restart screen. But, most times, it goes to the blue screen. The mouse shows up and the dissappears. It shows back up and the dissappears again. Then the system working spiral comes on and off every few seconds. But- it never gets to the sign in screen. ANyone know how to fix? What am I doing wrong?

Does your iMac fail to boot every time or only some of the time?  Here are some things to try:
    - Boot into "safe mode", which will run the equivalent of Disk Utility's "repair disk" operation.
    - Boot from the system install disc that came with that Mac with the "D" key held down to run the diagnostics.  Run them several times to see if any hardware problems are reported.
    - If you can't identify the problem or fix it any other way, download and install the OS X 10.6.7 "combo" updater.
    - If that still doesn't help, try reinstalling OS X 10.6 over the top of what's on the disk.

  • White Macbook has delayed start with a blue screen and will not wake when it goes to sleep

I have a late 2006 MacBook that I recently bought used.  When I got it I was experiencing very long boot times.  It would have the apple logo then go into a blue screen for about 5 minutes before loading to the OS.  Nothing I did fixed the issue.  I was told it was not a hdd or ram issue, but maybe a logic board issue.  I then purchased a new hdd since that was the concensus online.  After installing it I got the it to load right away when it booted from the install disc.  However, after the OS was installed, it gave me the same problem.  Also, when trying to update to Lion it would freeze on the apple logo with the spinning dots.  I did not try to install Lion on the new hdd as I wanted to use the machine and it was working with minor inconviences.  I then read about resetting the system by taking off battery, holding power for ten seconds, then replacing battery and restarting.  This actually fixed the problem.  I was able to install Lion and everything was working perfectly.  I then replaced the topcase becuase the one on the computer was scratched and dirty.  After I did that I was unable to load anything.  It would not go into lion or anything else.  I fiddled with the command lines and nothing.  I had someone else who spoke unix fiddle with it and I was finally able to get it to boot from the install disc.  After doing a clean install, from erasing and creating a new partition, I am back to square one with a long boot time and not waking from sleep.  This time the battery trick is not working.  I have done the PRAM reset and disc repair and permission repair.  All to no avail.  I know that it has the capacity to work because it did.  Please help me, I really want this to work.  Thanks.

It seems thst the MBP is not recognizing the internal HDD.  Look at this link and probably the section 'Start from your Mac OS X Install disc; use Disk Utility' will be applicable:

  • Windows will not load while a USB is plugged into P67A-GD53 (B3)

There are a couple issues here but that is the main one that I'm dealing with. I just built a new rig a few days ago and for some reason Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit will freeze at the Windows logo if I have any external devices (USB, speaker jack, etc.) plugged into it. If I unplug everything from it, Windows will start as normal, I'll just plug everything back in after the Windows logo screen and I'll experience no issues while running. I've installed all drivers that I could from the Windows device manager however, I was not able to boot from the drivers and utilities disk that came with the P67A-GD53 (B3). The CD would load to the Winki install options screen, I'd select to install and then the screen would go black. When I load the disk from the desktop the online update option sends me to a 404 page . No beeps on start up. Any ideas?

Did you do a fresh install of Windows on the HDD or is it an old install and simply transferred HDD from old system?

  • Windows will not load or install, PLEASE HELP SOON

I turned on my computer today and it said:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
    \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
I restarted and it worked fine.
I then turned it on again later, and got the same message.
After re-seating the cables, cutting the power, trying to start in safe mode, etc, etc, I decided to try a repair.
The repair just got stuck when I pushed '1' for C:\WINDOWS. It just did nothing after that.
I tried to reformat. I put in the Windows XP disc and it loads up and I push F8 and it says "Searching for previous installations of Windows...". It did that for about ten minutes with no HDD activity until I finally shut it off.
Could ANYONE help me with this??? I am in college, and need to use this VERY SOON. It is 8:42pm RIGHT NOW and I need help BADLY. If at all possible, I would like to re-install Windows rather than reformat as there are some very important files that I need to back up before I can do a full reformat.

You haven't said anything about your system configuration, or whether it has had previous problems. This information would be helpful.
Make sure that the boot drive is correctly indicated in the bios. If you have more than 1 hard drive, I would temporarily remove the second one (assuming the OS is on the first drive). I've noticed that Windows Repair install seems to easily get confused by the disk configuration with the Neo Platinum.  This would also help if your power supply is marginal (if you diconnect the power as well).
A helpful thing to have would be a Knoppix cdrom. this is a cd bootable version of Linux that can be used to inspect your hard disk contents, and key files such as the boot.ini file etc. Also, if Knoppix runs, you can have some confidence that key system components are functional.

  • Computer wont fully start/Windows will not load

I have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6905, and was having a few issues with it.  I read on the Toshiba Product Support how to restore my laptop to the 'out of box state'.  While doing this it encountered an error and shut down, I saw people saying that this was due to a hard drive issue and that it needed to be replaced.  I replaced the hard drive, and still have no luck getting my computer to fully start up.  I tired to install Windows Vista Ultimate, and everything was going fine until the last step where it froze and shut down.  Now when I start up my computer it says "Windows failed to start" and gives me all the start up options.  When I select 'Start Windows Normally" it goes to the screen with the green loading bar that says "Microsoft Corporation" underneath it, and will go no further.  When I select Safe Mode, it stops and hangs after it loads windows\system32\crcdisk.sys and will go no further.  Any assistance will me much, much, much appreciated, thank you!

Best to restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media. If you don't have the discs, obtain them from Toshiba.
       Order Toshiba Recovery Media
    I replaced the hard drive
Please give us the full make and model of the drive you used. (Some with advanced-format technology are troublesome.)

  • Windows will not load up

I installed the latest firefox update, was working for a few minutes, and then the computer froze up. I restarted my computer but windows won't load up, either in safe mode or normal mode. Startup repair won't load either, it just cycles back to the error recovery page. My laptop is in a coma because of the firefox update. What is the fix?

  • Iphone 5 randomly gets blue screen. Will not turn on after I tried to restart it.

I have had my Iphone 5s since about a month after they came out. It has worked perfectly up until now.
While I was at work I was going about my regular business using my phone as usual. I put it into my pocket and about 15 minutes later pulled it out to check it but all that was on the screen was a dim dark blue light. I couldnt do anything on the screen including turning it off so I did that hard reset (holding the Home and Sleep button).
After the phone shut off it did not turn back on. I tried every combination of buttons and reset options.
         -(Home/Sleep buttons)
-(Home/Sleep buttons +Volume up and down)
-(Home/Sleep buttons while turning the mute button on and off)---This one was just a theory online, same as the one before it.
-(Restored the iphone multiple times in itunes)
I had the phone plugged in for a good amount of time and while it was charging it would periodically do a quick 2 vibration burst, like it was starting to connect.
Im guessing its just not getting past a point in the restarting process so it just doesnt continue, seeing as it is still accepting a charge (Itunes put it at 68%)
Anyone have any theories or explanation as to why this could be happening? I appreciate any response
    Thanks

Try to put the phone in recovery mode and restore it. If that does not work, take it in to an authorized service provider or Apple store for service. It is still under warranty.
