HP ProBook 4530s won't power up

Hi, When I power up the HP ProBook 4530s the power button lights up but the display doesn't come on. It stays that way untilI power the notebook down (nothing is displayed whatover). The battery is in useless condition and the notebook runs on AC power only. Recently (two weeks before the post) I received the error "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded” error message in Windows 7 and fixed it by booting the computer in safe mode and fixing the registry entries. I can see that the USB port receives power and both the cooling fans (internal and external) are functioning when I power up. Would be deeply gratified if you can help me sort this out. HP Probook 4530s won't boot, no LED light

Laptop was working fine until it basically shut down. There were no warning signals that there was a problem. Right now the laptop is dismantled and I am planning to buy a DC power jack replacement.
Steps taken:
1. Tried to use with and without the battery. It is believed the battery was completely dead at the time this started.
2. A separate power cord has been plugged into the 4530s that is HP and there were no LED lights; however, plugging the 4530s cord into the OTHER HP laptop did show an LED light.
Before we purchase this DC power jack replacement, are there any other ideas of what may be going on with this computer? We are not able to afford a computer repair shop visit. Confidence in working on the computer is pretty high here, but having to spend money for troubleshooting is not an option at this time.

You have the right idea. The logical signs point to the power jack and it is easy and cheap to replace. If it does not work, the options take a quick nosedive into pain and expense after this one.

HP ProBook 4530s orange blinking led, won't recognise the power cord

yestarday I tried to open my laptop but it didn't start. i thought that maybe the battery was empty so i plugged the power cord, but nothing happened.
then I noticed the led near the power cord blinking orange. After a fast googling i came to this thread ( http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware/charging-light-blinking-problem-with-hp-probook-4530s... )
using the 8-step guide I managed to boot the laptop just to realise that it won't detect the power cord!
It was really strange, because when I noticed this, my battery was already at 2%!
I shut down the laptop, and tried to open it without the battery, it booted normally, but it still can't detect that the power cord is plugged in!!!!!
On the other thread some mentioned to update the bios, but in my case where it can't detect the power cord, that's impossible, because the procedure requires the laptop to be plugged in.
Now the laptop won't start normally, I have to keep the power button pressed for 40 secs and then plug the power cord. In addition it won't work only with battery, and that is my biggest problem!!
What should I do now?

Screen does not turn on after sleep - ProBook 4530s - Windows 8.1 (64bit)

Hi everyone,
Not sure if this had to be posted in notebook display and video section, or laptop lockups, freezes and hangs. Anyway, I have a problem, where everything is fine with the computer, it's running smoothly, but whenever I make it go to sleep, after it does it instantly, the signals are of a regular laptop sleep - power buton flashing, no other signs of computer being on.
However, the problem appears when turning the computer back on after sleep. After pressing the power button, the computer straight away starts working - you can hear the fan turned on, etc, just that pretty much nothing changes with the screen. Sometimes, with some particular light directed towards the screen, you can even see, that the computer is on (seeing the clock on the display), just like the brightness was set down to 2% or something. And there is nothing that helps from what I have tried to do (tried reinstalling both AMD drivers and Intel HD drivers). I researched this problem extensively but could not find a solution, however, as I have noticed that this is quite an old problem (assuming from the date of the posts this problem first showed up), there might be a solution for it, to which I just have not noticed the answer?
If anyone can help me, please do, the sleep function is essential and extra important function when living on campus at university, I just cannot operate like this.
Hopefully someone will know, thank you in advance.

Hp probook 4530s sound problem

Hello, I'm new in this forum because I didn't had this kind of problem before. I have an Hp probook 4530s I5 with 64bit windows 7 pro I read every post about this problem but nothing solved my problem. I dont have a sound on my laptop, sometimes it comes but only few seconds than it dissapears, but when I lsiten to something sound doesnt come from speakers but in the corner of speakers options it shows that sound is coming. nothing helped only one thing is helping: when I plug headphone in my laptop sound comes out of speakers and headphones too, but it's difficult to be like this I can't use my headphones. I tried everything and please help me it happend when I updated bios but my friends have this same problem with this laptop

Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59001-59500/sp59291.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete,download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.

When the reinstallation has completed, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete. Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices. Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' ( or Speakers/HP ) once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

You can watch 3D movies on your laptop but you can see 3D or not is another story. Why not try, even you know it won't work.

Probook 4530s wont turn on

I left my battery to die and then i couldnt turn my laptop on
There are no lights, only the one that shows that the laptop is connected to the charger
So i tried a hard reset, didnt work
Tried to turn on the laptop without the battery, didnt work
I tried my charger on another laptop to see if the problem is in the charger and it worked fine
I also put an old battery in my laptop (i had to replace it because it only lasted for good 5 min) and the charger light blinked white then orange and also the power button blinked and then nothing
help

Probook 4530s not turning on

hie i have a probook 4530s and now its refusing to turn on after i had closed the lid to attend to something.Whenever i try to turn it on the screen doesnt show anything but the light that shows that the laptopis charging will be continuously turning white and orange. When i opened the back to just have a look, isaw like a very thin soft wire pointing upwards from the fan. ProBook 4530s metal casing has leakage current while charging

Recently purchased probook 4530s works fine. Only when it has to be connected to the charger the metal casing gives a very uneasy fealing of leakage current and is very annoying. Have searched the internet and found this problem common in HP models with metal body. Big name is going to get a big hit with this annoyance. Kindly help if anyone has found a specific solution or HP has provided with a solution to anyone.

try this:-
Perform a Dry Boot on the unit.
a. Shutdown the computer.
b. Disconnect the AC adapter, any externally connected device like External Hard Disk, External CD Drive , Pen Drive and remove the battery. Make sure there is no disc in the drive either.
c. Press the power button down for about 45-60 seconds.
d. Reconnect the AC adapter and not the battery.
e. Restart the computer
PURPOSE: This will discharge any residual charge present in the unit completely
if u get your issue resolved, click the white kudos star.

Keyboard has like "intervals" between keys HP PROBOOK 4530s

You know how you hold down the "down arrow" key to scroll down web pages? if i held it down, all it does is scrolls once. And when i type "qwertyuiop" at normal speed, this is the result "qwtip". Weird cause the missing keys work. Theres just something like intervals between keys pressed in a second i guess? has this happened to you guys?
This is the 3rd time it happened. Tried to talk with HP customer service, they didnt even know what to do. Only had the laptop for a couple of months.

Just so you know, I experienced the same thing for the first time tonight. On rebooting it worked fine, but I did notice the fan was kicking into high gear just before the keyboard started flaking out. My probook is about two weeks old, I applied the most recent bios update to it the day I set it up. Did anyone ever get a satisfactory resolution for this, or is this one of those kind of things where new mainboards are quietly replaced on a per complaint basis.
What I did notice as unusual when setting up this laptop is it hung up while it was unpacking software. I had let it go for about an hour thinking maybe it had a lot of stuff to install, but 5 hours later it was still at the same spot. Forcing it off by holding down the power button and starting it up again, everything set up normally. I was worried I had a lemon right off the bat so I ran full diagnostics on the hard drive and ran a memory test without any faults found, so chalked it up to crappy software development.
I think it's eat related, even though this thing doesn't seem to be running that hot. CPU-Z shows my CPU is hovering around 42-43 degrees.
I guess now I know why these things are now being sold at near rock bottom prices.

Control (Ctrl) and Function (Fn) keys are swapped on ProBook 4530s. How can I restore this?

I have HP ProBook 4530s which was working as expected i.e. Ctrl keys and Fn Keys were working correctly. Now somehow these two keys are swapped and I want to restore them so that Ctrl Key work as Ctrl key. Please note that I am running Windows 7 on this machine. How can restore this?

Just a quick update. I had the same issue with CTRL and FN swapped on my ProBook 6560b. I tried many possible solutions:CTRL + FN+ ALTUninstall keyboard deviceDisable keyboard deviceLook for setting in BIOS to swap the keys. This solution - remove the power supply and battery - solved my issue. There is clearly a wierd bug in many of these HP laptops.

Probook 4530s with Radeon HD 6490M

During installation of the AMD driver ( radeon HD 6490M ) the screen go black and the windows stops and i have to power off , the installation was done before normally now i cant install my driver and i cant install my switchable graphics , what should i do i downloaded the right driver from download center to my driver and i installed it before many times but now i cant install it , i need a solution please :/

HP probook 4530S is not charging battery

My HP Laptop Probook 4530S is not charging battery. Battery picture with HP Startup does not showed up when I turned on laptop (Before the BIOS). After logon to Windows it shows 0% remaining. HP power assistant and BIOS shows Battery is in good condition and not connected to AC supply. Bios is also not being updated showing "AC power is not connected" while it is working with AC power only.
Any Suggestion

I can see if we can get your phone back on! I understand how important it is to have a phone. Have you tried this to see if we can get it back on? http://vz.to/1DZhteH . If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset. While the phone is off try this:http://vz.to/1DZhXkU Be mindful this is the last resort because it will erase everything on the phone. Hp probook 4530s drivers for windows 7 ultimate 32bit

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64bit on my hp probook 4530s notebook, and I am going to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. but I will need the drivers for the new windows, because i will have to format the laptop to change from 64 bit to 32 bit.
So where can i download all the drivers.
