HP is proud to announce the first in a series of on line chat events sessions where you will have an opportunity to interact real-time with some of HP's top guns in a particular area of interest. We will focus on different topics and technologies in future Meet the Expert sessions.
Meet the Experts: Wireless and Network Printing 101
Meet four of HP's wireless, network printing experts Monday on March 16th from 3:30 - 4:30 PM PST.
Cameron has been with HP for 27 years. He's worked on everything from faxes to printers. He is the lead for Customer Satisfaction Connectivity and has a lot of experience troubleshooting many common network issues.
Craig has been with HP for more than 20 years and has focused on printers for 17 of those years. He is a Distinguished Technologist at HP and has a great deal of experience setting up networks and printers. He is also the go to guy for solving software printing issues.
David has been with HP's printing group for 15 years. He has a lot of history with HP's wireless printers, as a software manager and a firmware manager. He's followed the developments in wireless technology closely and is focused on understanding the challenges customers face and helping solve them. Jim has been at HP for 20 years. He focuses on Wi-Fi technology and is an Architect and Technical Lead for 802.11. He specializes in setting up, troubleshooting and fine tuning WiFi networks.
These experts will answer your questions and give tips on how to navigate the murky waters of network printing. Topics that may be covered in this real-time chat event include:

Common pitfalls such as poor wireless connections and firewall interference

My iPhone rejects my passcode when I enter it the first and the second time. Why?

Is it random? Does it occasionally accept the passcode, or does the passcode seem to be changed?

Printing the First 14 Characters of Every Line in a Text File

My text file looks like the following:
1111097116274, H0101C58F8110C005, 1, 16:48:03
1111097116274, H0100058F8110C006, 2, 16:48:10
1111097116274, H00F0458F8110C006, 3, 16:48:12I want my java program to print the first 14 characters of every line. Here's what I have:

Well, that's the thing with a highly tuned, precision engine like your mind, JosAH. Adding a little alchohol to the fuel mix provides a performance boost, but as the alcohol/fuel ration increases, the performance improvement peaks and then degrades, until the performance is actually reduced. Now, I understand that in the case of the magic Grolsch, this performance curve is shifted farther to the right (graphed with Grolsch count as the independent variable, and performance improvement as the dependent variable), but it still occurs.
I recommend nitrous oxide. You may need to get your piston heads hardened, though.

Can't change DataTable properties the first time the table is loaded.

Hi all!
I just want to change dynamically the value of columClasses in my DataTable with dataTable1.setColumnClasses(mystylesheet). It works fine when i use any link or button on my page, but the first loaded, the dataTable never change. I put my code in the constructor, in the beforeRenderResponse(), in afterRenderResponse(), without success.
Any idea ?

Here are the steps I followed:
1. Added the following lines in the stylesheet (created a new class)
.column-appearance {
background-color: cyan
2. Dragged and dropped a datatable
2. In the constructor of Page1.java added the following line of code
dataTable1.setColumnClasses("column-appearance");
3. Save and run the application
4. The datatable is rendered with the columns having cyan as the background color
Is it the same as what you are trying or having I missed out anything???

How to make a program that will ask for a name the first time the program is used and if is not the first time will not ask the name?

I want to make a program that will ask for the ID of the testing machine the first time the program is running, then will never ask for it. I'm using Labview 6.0

There are a Couple of methods you can use for this.
Method 1 -
You can create an ini file and save a boolean Key "First Instance" as True. Now In your Program you read this Key, If it is True then you can show your ID Dialog VI.If False do not run the VI. At the Conclusion of Id Dialog you can update this registry enrty to False. So In effect you have created One time Event. In fact you can save ID as another Config entry.
The Drawback and advantage is that such an INI file can be edited by someone moderately knowledgeable about the Program
Method 2
Use Unitialized Shift Register in A while Loop. Please see LV2 style Globals entry under this forum. You can read and write to this Variable and it retains the Value it last had within it.
You can read
this Global the Very first time and say if it true you display your ID Vi. If False you dont. When you display your ID Vi you can Update your Global Like Before.

How to view the first and the last frame of a clip directly or in a selected range in the time line ? Up arrow and down arrow keys changes only between the first frame of the consecutive clips. Even ; and ' does the same. I mean what is the shortcut keys for first to last and last to first frame of a clip? Help please.

Hello Vamshi,
As per the OP's requirement he has to print 3 copies of the invoice. Which according to my understanding should be printed at the same time ? May be i am wrong in interpreting this.
You must be knowing you can control the print params of the SmartForms in CONTROL_PARAMETERS where you set the NO_DIALOG & in the OUTPUT_OPTIONS pass the number of copies.
I think the solution you have proposed the "Original Copy" will be printed only once. (Correct me if i am wrong)
Every time the user prints the invoice again he will be getting a "Duplicate Copy". If this is what the OP wants the logic is perfect

its not a problem of indexes, i repaired it but its really weird cause the first time the query run ok, the second doesnt, it seems that the cache is confused or i dont know, help guys, i'll really appreciate it

I was watching the notes, its really weird when i load the cube and execute the query for the first time, its ok, to the second stay in cache, but i was watching that the cube doesnt allow me activat the BD statistics, i dont know if this is necesary to improve the performance of the query, what i know is this:
1- before i create a Hierarchy for an infoobject thta is in the cube , the query used to run ok. Now when i load the first time and execute its ok, but the second stay in cache.
2- now i can activate the statistics for the cube, the indexes are ok, i checked for the RSRV and all is ok less the statistics.
what can i do help friends...
