Re HP psc 1350 all-in-one printer, it it possible to connect a usb wirless adapter into this printer, so that it effectively becomes a wireless printer?  (dumb question? but thanks in advance anyway)

You need a device called a wireless print server. Get one with a usb interface. Here is an example of one.

    In the past, I could usually solve the "Offline" or "Not Connected" problems by unplugging my printer for a few minutes, but that no longer works. So, I decided to buy another one. However, just before clicking on the BUY button on Amazon, I decided to try to fix the problem one more time. Part of the "fix" was deleting my printer from the computer and then reinstalling it. This is where I'm now stuck. I deleted it, but I can't reinstall it. I get to the ADD window, but everything is grayed out. So, how do I install my printer? I might add that the HP instructions that I was following (OSX v. 10.9 Mavericks- Installing and using the printer on a Mac) are what got me this far.

    After you download the driver, open System Preferences > Printer & Scanners > Print
    Delete the current printer by selecting it then click -  (minus)
    Then click + to add the printer back in.
    That should load the driver for you.

    IPAD to COMPUTER via WIFI
    COMPUTER to PRINTER via USB cable
    so when i try to connect ipad to printer, it requires some username and password. i dont know what to type in there.

    Sorry, but this will not work.  Your printer has to be directly on you network, not tethered to a computer that is on the network.
    Since your printer is USB only (not a network-able printer), your only solution is to get a new wireless printer.  Get one that supports AirPrint if you want to print from your iPad.

    I am sorry to hear that this has been a frustrating experience for you. I would like to help you obtain the full feature software and driver for your PSC 1350. Please use the following link to download and install the software; gc_w01_ENU_NB.exe.
    This download includes the HP Photosmart Software Suite (enhanced imaging features and product functionality) and Driver. If you only want the print driver (without the Photosmart Software Suite), it is available as a separate download named "HP Officejet and PSC Basic Software and Driver".

    Not for sure if the following is a 'Windows XP' component or  'H.P. Printer/Scanner' component?
    When desktop PC screen comes on, message reads: " hphmon 06.exe - Unable to Locate Component. This Application has failed to start because hpzjrd 01.dll was not found.  Re-installing this application may fix the problem."     Question : How can I re-install this 'application' - without doing a complete recovery ?

    Just so you know, doing the download is not going to be much bigger (if at all ) than the software and drivers on the disk.  It is updated so after the printer is installed, it will perform more efficiently because of the updates.

  • HP PSC 1350 all in one printing blurred

    Hi I tried to search for an answer but I have a few problems.
    Right....  bear with me whilst I explain.
    1   I have recently installed brand new cartridges into my printer and have realigned them using the print test page and scanning it.
    The test page was fine - butwhen I get to print out an important document it seems to print out blurred text and graphics doen the middle of the page.
    2.  I have a netbook so I have no CD rom drive to be able to install printers HP Director from the disk.  I am running on Windows 8 by the way.
    I printed of a CV earlier on this month and there was nothing wrong with that print.  I havent used it since and then this happens.  
    Can anyone provide me help on what i can do to resolve this and if there is a version of HP Director
    that is compatible with my printer and Windows 8?  (free version please)

    I understand the text and photos are blurred. But the hardware self test prints properly.
    I have included a document for workarounds for the HP Solution Center and Toolbox with Win8. Select I've always used HP Solution Center and HP Toolbox. What do I use now? You can take a look at What are the limitations with the Windows Update driver?

  • Hp psc 1350 all-in-one /wi fi enabling

    I have an hp psc 1350 all-in- one printer. My desktop is a dinosaur and won't handle broadband internet. I now use an Apple iPad tablet on wi fi and don't want to purchase another printer. Is there a way to make my printer work on wi fi with my tablet through my router without a desktop computer. I tried hooking it up per instructions off of eHow but it my tablet can 't find it. Do I need a Driver or something else to make it work or is it even possible. Thanks for any help anyone can give me . Learnin.

    Hi,
    You will need an AirPrint enabled printer to print directly from an iPad or a networked printer to print from the HP ePrint mobile app.
    I afraid the PSC 1350 is a USB only printer, it doesn't support printing from a mobile device as iPad.

  • Hp psc 1350 all-in-one driver download issues

    Hello
    I have a Toshiba laptop and an hp psc 1350 all-in-one printer.  Both were working well until Sunday.  Now the printer will not work. 
    The on light of the printer is constantly on when attached to power, I can press the on button so it doesn't appear to be broken, but the light will not turn off. 
    When I remove the power cord the lights cycle through the printer panel (and the on button light does go off momentarily) then the on light stays on and will not turn off. 
    I have been unable to download the latest driver update from Windows Update or any websites automatically or manually  - TOSHIBA USB DVB-T/Analog Hybrid Tuner (391 KB).  The download always fails. I also tried the FixIt facility from Microsoft, but it tells me there are no issues.
    Does this mean the driver is the issue, or do I have to purchase a new printer?

    I understand you aren't able to shut down the printer with the power button.

    I will be happy to help you with this.
    I would do a power reset to see if that will resolve the issue. With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer, hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain any power, if the printer has external power module with a detachable power cord disconnect it for 15 seconds and then reconnect it. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
    Make sure the printer is connected directly to wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
    I have provided a document for power issues.
    The HP Printer Won't Turn On or Respond.
    If these steps don't resolve the issue I would recommend to call HP Tech Support for
    further assistance to see what other options are available for you or to find out about
    the trade in and trade up program.

  • Paper Jam for HP PSC 1610 All-in-One Printer

    Paper Jam for HP PSC 1610 All-in-One Printer:
    I had a paper jam and cleared the paper from the printer.  Now every time I turn the printer "on" it picks up the top piece of paper from the tray and runs it about ½  to ¾ of the way thru the paper feed, stops, and then displays message "paper jam clear paper and then press OK".  When I do that it simply picks up the next piece of paper off the tray and does the message again.  If I push the OK button on the printer it will simply finish the ejection and then pick up the next paper from the tray, and do the same thing.  I have examined the interior (and exterior) of the printer for paper scraps and  any other obvious sign of trouble (dirty drive wheels, missing rollers, broken springs, etc...) and can not see anything unusual. I can not print a test print because of the paper jam message.  I am running Windows XP and the printer has been working fine for months (until this recent jam).  I did all the steps from the HP fix it site including clean rollers, plug and unplugged,  carriage travel OK and more. Don't know what to do now........Any help would be great!!!!   Thank you!

    While I can print without any problems, I don't have access to scan a document from the printer to my computer.

    Welcome to the HP Community!
    I hope to help you with the scanning concern you have today.
    Unfortunately, you will not be able to scan using HP software with your PSC 1315 (older model), on Mavericks (newer OS X), as there is no Full Feature driver (includes scanning software) available.
    However, you do have some other options to scan. See this link for your options. Scroll down when the guide loads and select "How do I scan with the driver from Apple Software Update?"

    I am kind of done with this Printer ! lost hope in customer care and support hit with HP ! from Past 10 days searching a software to scan few doc from  my printer 1210 (HP PSC 1210 All-in-One Printer) but i dint find.... i got one from some source (166 Mb) file, but to my surprise its not compatable with Windows 7.  i am totally depressed now.... Please help me to find software for this (scanner document) I have lost the CD lont time back can i download This some where?

    I understand you're looking for drivers for your PSC 1210 on Windows 7. I will certainly do my best to guide you in this issue.
    At this time there are no HP drivers available for this printer for Windows 7. You can still use the printer with Windows 7, you will just have to use the drivers available within Windows 7. That document will walk you through what you need to do in order to get printing again, and will also show you how to scan with this Windows driver.

    Have you upgraded the firmware of your printer lately; you can get the latest firmware in the main support page for your printer 
    This is the main support page for your printer,  GO HERE Go to software and drivers download and select your operating system. You should also upgrade the firmware of the printer.

    I have a model 1210 all in one printer and it will not feed paper. it sounds like something its working, but not gripping the paper. PLEASE ADVISE

    I can see you're experiencing paper feed issues.  I would like to help!
    I would recommend performing a  power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
    I would also suggest following the steps in this video on PSC feed issues:

    I would like to help you with your 2355 printer. A printer reset can initiate an alignment. Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue, and let me know the outcome of your efforts; Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems with the Diagnostic Page.
    If the issue remains unresolved after following all of the steps in the link above, I recommend contacting HP.
    Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. HP will, at HP's option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
    They could even determine after troubleshooting that it is a problem with the printer, in which case they may offer you a discount on a newer model.
    The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
    To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.
