HP psc 2110 all in one and Windows 7

I have an old HP psc 2110xi all in one printer that worked fine on Windows XP. I followed the HP site instructions and did not try to load the install disc that came with it on my new Windows 7 64-bit computer. I just plugged it in and Windows 7 was supposed to have a drive for it, but there would be limited functionality of the tools per the web site.
Well actually I can now only scan to image files. The windows scan program offers only: BMP, JPG, PNG and TIF as file choices in the drop down menu. I can no longer scan to pdf files.
I have lost a lot more functionality than just not being able to see the ink level,clean the cartridges and print a test image. I am most interested in the lost ability to scan to a pdf file.
Does anyone know how I can get this back?

Indeed the provided functionality offered by Windows Image Aquision scanning is more limited and does not PDF support.
If you Have MS Office you might be able to scan PDF files with it in some of the editions (I believe MSOffice should support WIA scanners as well):
For example, Office 2007 can provide those capabilities as you may see within the linked document.
You may also check 3rd party software (as VueScan for example) which support your scanner and provide PDF and OCR scan capabilities.
For ink level, i believe the Extended Self Test report should provide the ink levels, however i'm not perfectly sure.
You may try printing a report as following:
Press Setup and Start Color . Press the Right Arrow to scroll to Model Number and Press Enter or OK
You will not be able to get any functionality back, as te device does is not fully compatible with Windows7..

The PSC 1210 drivers are available from Windows Update, see here. You can go to the Printers folder, Add Printer, Local Printer, LPT1:, Windows Update. psc 2110 all-in-one, Windows Vista 32-bit, Tried to scan and now printer will not scan or print. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it still doesn't work. HP diagnostic said I needed a new driver and HP by passes that request.
Scanner hasn't worked very well since I put the printer on Vista. How do I get a download for a new driver from HP?

Please let me take a moment to say "Welcome Back" to the HP Forums.
I see that you are receiving an error message about the left ink cartridge on the printer.
It is possible that the ink cartridge is low or even empty.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
If the error is still on the printer after the unit has been connected to a wall outlet, I suggest you try another cartridge.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

User Defined Paper Size, Windows 7, PSC 2110 all in one printer

I am trying to print a 5x7 photo using the user defined paper size of my PSC 2110 All-in-One printer. When I used X
P os, it was easy to do. Since upgrading to Windows 7, I have been using the default drivers that load with that, but it doesn't have the ability to define paper size. Is there a driver available that would let me do this? I've tried to use compatability mode to get the original drivers from the installation disc to work, but it won't do it.

At this stage, Windows 7 only supplies a very basic and generic print driver for this printer just for print. You may want to keep that way or buy a new printer.

Hp psc 2110 all-in-one -best, normal fast lights just flash continually

My hp psc 2110 all-in-one I have had for a number of years and has never let me down before.
The problem started when I tried to print from a PC on my home network. The request was on the queue but wouldn't print and the 3 lights for Best, Normal and Fast Quality just flash continually.
I also keep getting a window come up entitled HP OFFICEJET REFLASH asking for the original setup disk.
I have responded and put the CD in the drive.
I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled a download from HP.com website but still the lights continue to flash.
Can anyone help PLEASE!!!!!

Print from Macbook Pro to HP PSC 1215 all in one on Windows 7

If I print from my new Macbook pro wirelessly to the HP PSC 1215 All in One connected to a USB port on a Windows 7 PC, the print job appears in the queue on the Windows 7 PC, the printer on/resume light starts to flash, the printer makes a few clicks, but nothing prints. Apple support say it's the fault of the HP driver. HP support says the printer is more than 5 years old, so tough, buy a new printer. Does anyone know how to solve this problem without buying a new printer ?

The printer sounds like it is stuck. I've turned it off and on and also unplugged and replugged it in. I cann't print or scan.

Do you see any error messages on the computer or printer? If you have a Windows operating system please run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. The HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that helps to quickly resolve common printing, scanning and connectivity issues including but not limited to:
Connectivity :
USB: Verifies that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product is working correctly.
Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working correctly.
Device Status Test : Checks for device errors such as out of paper, paper jams, carriage stalls, and paper feed issues, and then provides instructions for fixing the error.
Driver Check : Checks for missing or corrupt driver files.
Device Manager : Checks for problems in Device Manager that would prevent printing.
Device Online : Checks if the product has been paused or set to offline, and then sets the status back to online if necessary.
Print Queue : Checks for and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a log of print jobs waiting to print).
Port Match : Checks the port settings for the HP product.

Hp psc 2110 all-in-one ink level status

This is an old printer, the owner's manual has a 2002 copyright date. I thought all printer, even one this old, would be able to display the ink status of the various cartridges on my computer screen. I talked to tech support and they said to download the driver and a printer icon should be displayed on the bottom right of my screen. This laptop has Windows 7 and all the HP drivers are supposed to be downloaded automatically. I tried to update the driver from hp.com but it didn't really do anyting. There still is no printer icon on the bottom right of my screen. Tech support said that when I click on the icon I should be able to get to a page that shows ink levels for cartridges. Anybody have any ideas?

Welcome to the forums hifiguy69!
I saw your post about wanting to check the ink levels on your PSC 2110 model. With Windows 7 the full software package is not available, therefore you will not be able to see the ink levels from your desktop.
However, if you are to print a self-test, this may show the ink levels.
To print a self test:
On the printer, select Setup or Menu until "Print Report" displays, then select Enter.

C345 all in one and windows 8 problems...

I recently purchased 3 of the c345 all in ones for a business and getting programs/devices to function in Windows 8 is looking like an impossibility. Some printers work with it and some won't even after driver updates, QuickBooks works when It feels like it. Is anyone else having issues with simple installs of drivers??

From your description, it sounds like this quality issue only just arose since upgrading to Windows 8.1. Do the colors appear off when you copy to? Based on my understanding of the issue, I suspect the following document will be most helpful ; HP Photosmart C7100 Series All-in-One - Wrong Colors.

Mavericks scanning on psc 2110 all-in-one

I have loaded and used the priniting function on the psc 2110 successfully. I can't seem to figure out how to load the scan functionality. I tried to use the original install disk (worked on an XP machine) and was told it was for the Power PC chip. Is there anyway to get this old beast to scan under Mavericks?

I saw your post about wanting to scan with your PSC 2110 and Mavericks. I have dug around for some information for you and will post a guide below. There is no downloadable driver available for this model and Mavericks, however, there is some other scanning options that will probably work for you.

Click on "How do I scan with the driver from Apple Software Update?" to see the scan options.

How can I install the HP PSC 1350 All-in-One Printer {Windows XP} w/o a CD?

I'm having difficulty installing my AIO printer without a CD & I really would like to update the Driver as well... I'm so frustrated!

I am sorry to hear that this has been a frustrating experience for you. I would like to help you obtain the full feature software and driver for your PSC 1350. Please use the following link to download and install the software; gc_w01_ENU_NB.exe.
This download includes the HP Photosmart Software Suite (enhanced imaging features and product functionality) and Driver. If you only want the print driver (without the Photosmart Software Suite), it is available as a separate download named "HP Officejet and PSC Basic Software and Driver".

The CD Rom which came with my subject printer is not compatilbe with Windows 7. Is there a site which has the download for the subject cleanilng kit??
