When last used I tried to cancel a print project and the printer  seemed to seize up and Printer would not shut off, so I pulled the plug. Plugged back in and now the screen shows the HP logo, but even power button will not light up, nothing works.  Any suggestions?

Hello nancy did you fix your problem? I'm having the same problem with my all in one, the HP log is on the display and the green light "on" wont stop flashing and I cant reset the darn thing no matter what I do.

  • HP PSC 1350 All-In-One won't install on Macbook Pro, PLEASE HELP!! :(

    Hi all
I know this has been covered before, but I've done SO many Google searches I just can't think of any other keyword combinations so I'm hoping someone can advise.
I'm running the latest version of OS X, and when I first plugged in the printer via USB, it auto-detected, searched for and installed drivers, after which the printer showed up under Print & Fax, but as a 1300 and not a 1350.
When I proceeded to print from MS Word, the job showed up in the print queue, but it didn't print, and when I opened up the print queue it said the printer was idle - but it WASN'T!
So I proceeded to 'reset the printing system.' After this, I can't even add the printer! Print & Fax refuses to even REGISTER that the printer is connected...
I'm about to pull my hair out - I've banged my head against the wall for SO long trying to make this work, first through a network with my Windows XP PC, and now via a direct connection via USB after rearranging my WHOLE office... If someone could advise I would greatly appreciate it!
    Thanks,
    Eye.

I had that exact model MFD. You should know two things:
1 it is no longer fully supported. It reports as a 1300 and often doesn't work very well. You can print, after a fashion, using HP's official drivers, but you will get much better results (and drivers which actually see the **** MFD!) from drivers available at the HPIJS Project. <http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/macosx/hpij s%23Printers>. The drivers there are mostly developed by HP employees but are NOT offered on HP's site and are NOT given to Apple by HP to be included in printer driver updates. You guess as to why this is, given that they behave much better than HP's official drivers and have since Tiger, is as good as mine. Note that installing the HPIJS drivers turns your MFD into a PostScript (clone) device! Your output is noticeably superior to that produced by the official drivers, and your level of control over that output is increased. (It's also slower, and the PSC1350 was never fast...)
2 while you can print from the PSC1350, you cannot scan. Not under either Leopard or Snow Leopard. VueScan may support the PSC1350 now, I don't know, I bailed a long time ago. I do know that the HP scan software breaks, hard, under Leopard and will not install in Snow Leopard. Note that HP has (finally!) released print drivers for the PSC1350 so that you can print from Leopard and Snow Leopard; when Leopard came out, the only way to print using that device was was to use the HPIJS drivers... and for the first 2-3 months after Leopard arrived, the version of GhostScript that the HPIJS drivers used was broken on Leopard, so it wasn't possible to print at all. My PSC1350 was a paperweight. When I contacted HP's tech support they said in so many words that the MFD was no longer supported either under Leopard or Vista and that I should either use older OSes or get a new printer. I did. I got a Brother. Brother USA Sales should send HP Tech Support flowers.
HP's software for this device is profoundly broken.

  • PSC 2355 All In One - won't scan

When I try to scan I now get this error message - "You need to install or run HP software for this feature". I un-installed the SW and re-installed but am still getting the same message. ANy suggestions?

    Hi pressbox,
I understand you are unable to scan and have already began troubleshooting. I would be happy to help you with your PSC 2355.
Please first post back with the answers to these few questions.
Is the printer connected wirelessly or with a USB cable?
Is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector? (It is best to connect directly to the wall)
Do  you have any other HP Printers installed on this computer? If so, do you still have the printers?
Is this an HP laptop or a different brand?

  • PSC 1510 All in One won't print black

Had printer for couple of years. Suddenly has decided doesn't want to print black. Tried everything. Have noticed other HP models on forum have same problem. One tag mentioned taking colour cartridge out and then it prints in black. Tried this but printer goes into fault mode as soon as I take colour cartridge out.
    Any other ideas?

OK, if there is some black after manually cleaning the nozzles then the problem is the cartridges, not the printer.  I would suggest running up to 3 cleaning cycles from the front panel.  If this does not fix the problem then likely you need a new HP cartridge.

  • Psc 1210xi all-in-one not responding

My psc 1210xi all-in-one is not responding. I was able to use the stand alone copy feature and also print a document from my hp laptop (Windows 7) successfully last night. (After plugging it into this laptop for the first time by the way.) Now I am trying to print a document and it will queue up, but not ever print.  I tried to copy something to see if it would work and it copied just fine. So it's a problem between my computer and the printer I guess.
Tried unplugging it and waiting, then plugging it back in. Didn't get things running.
I read a post where it was suggested to delete items from spool file and I tried it. Tried printing again afterwards and it still won't print.
This printer is set as the default printer. I no longer have anything (cds, instructions, etc.) that came with it. The ink is brand new and printer is not paper jammed or showing any signs of Error.
It just never prints what's in the queue. Thank you for your help.
    This question was solved.

OK got it working by trying the print spool cancel and restart method ONE MORE TIME. Not sure if I just didn't do it correctly the first time, or if printer goblin left to go bother someone else. Thanks though.

  • PSC 1510 All in one printer - won't print even black and white when colour cartridge not recognised

My PSC 1510 All in one printer is flashing the "check printer cartrige icon" and both "Black" and "Colour" icons at the bottom left of the printer.
It won't print at all, even when I select grayscale (black and white). The help pages tell me that if I remove the colour cartridge the printer will switch to backup mode and I'll still be able to print in black and white (though not copy or scan). But this is not the case, and I can find no way of switching manually to backup mode. The help pages have no useful explanation of backup mode. I've also tried cleaning the cartridge (which I'm pretty sure isn't empty) but that makes no difference.
Can anyone help? I'd be very grateful.

gabri21 wrote: I have a very similar problem with my PSC1510 but only the colour cartridge light is blinking. I am also unable to find any useful information to set up printing in back up mode. Can anyone assist in resolving this problem for us?
With only one cartridge light blinking I would suspect the cartridge, they do rarely fail (much more often for reman cartridges, see here).  Clean the cartridge contascts as shown here.  If that fails and the cartridge is an original HP then check the warranty date as shown here.  If the cartridge is in warranty return it to your dealer for a warranty replacement.
The printer will automatically switch to backup mode if the black (or color in some printers) cartridge is removed.  I do not know if this works with the PSC 1510, some all-in-on devices insist on having both cartridges present.

  • HP PSC 1210xi all-in-one

Hello, I've been trying to get the HP PSC 1210xi All-in-One running as I won't be able to use my current scanner soon.
However, it fails to run due to missing drivers. I'm running Windows 8.1 (64bit), which causes me some concern to the compatibility. I've tried several solutions - the HP installer tool does not support the PSC 1000 series, downloaded drivers seem to not work or are unable to run; "this cannot be run as without administrative privileges", even whilst I am logged onto the only account on this computer. The farthest I seem to have gotten was to run the driver .exe in compatibility mode for Windows XP (64bit), but this results in the above error, and also seemingly requires the installation disc, which I am currently missing.
Unfortunately, buying a new scanner is not an option for me right now, and I need a functioning one to work.  I would be extremely grateful for any input you are able to provide, or even the possibility of being shipper a new disc.

    Hi Ryog,
Unfortunately there is no CD or drivers to download from the site for Windows 8.1. The only drivers are the preinstalled Windows drivers and the Windows Update drivers.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Make sure the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. The USB cable shouldn't be longer then 6 feet.
If you are still having issues then try another USB port on the computer. Try another USB cable.
Is the USB port on the computer 2.0 or 3.0? I would recommend using the 2.0 port and cable. USB 3.0 are supposed to be backwards compatible.
Follow the steps in this document to get to the device manager to check to see if the printer is showing that it was detected by the USB cable.
How do I get into Windows Device Manager?
In the list click under Universal Serial Bus controllers, look for  USB printing support or other devices, unknown device (make sure any other printers are turned off or disconnected) right click and update the driver.
If this is a Laptop then check the power management settings.
Access the device manager. Windows 8-How do I access the Device Manager.
Select universal serial bus controllers from the list, for each USB root hub, right click and left click on properties, for power management remove the check mark for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". It allows computer to limit or turn off power for this device.
If this is a Desktop then try the USB ports on the back of the tower. The front ports are used mainly for keyboard or mouse.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Thank You.

  • Hp psc 1110 all-in-one printer-copier-scanner

Recently I've been experiencing a problem with my printer (hp psc 1110 all in one):  it will print fine, then suddenly it will not print even though the print job is listed in the que.  If you turn the printer on and off, it will then "flash" in the system tray, but still won't print.  I've tried restarting the print job, deleting the print job, etc. but nothing will make it print except to restart the computer.  Then it repeats again where it will print a job or two then stop.  I've checked connections, and unloading and reloading the drivers, but none of that helps.  This is a great little printer -- I'm thinking it may have to do with the computer?  It is connectly locally to a stationary, but we can also print wireless from several laptops.  Has previously been working great, until just recently.
Hope there is an easy fix.

I have an hp psc 1350 all-in- one printer. My desktop is a dinosaur and won't handle broadband internet. I now use an Apple iPad tablet on wi fi and don't want to purchase another printer. Is there a way to make my printer work on wi fi with my tablet through my router without a desktop computer. I tried hooking it up per instructions off of eHow but it my tablet can 't find it. Do I need a Driver or something else to make it work or is it even possible. Thanks for any help anyone can give me . Learnin.

    Hi,
You will need an AirPrint enabled printer to print directly from an iPad or a networked printer to print from the HP ePrint mobile app.
I afraid the PSC 1350 is a USB only printer, it doesn't support printing from a mobile device as iPad.
You may find a list of supported printers for iOS devices in the following document:

  • Hp psc 1350 all-in-one driver download issues

    Hello
I have a Toshiba laptop and an hp psc 1350 all-in-one printer.  Both were working well until Sunday.  Now the printer will not work.
The on light of the printer is constantly on when attached to power, I can press the on button so it doesn't appear to be broken, but the light will not turn off.
When I remove the power cord the lights cycle through the printer panel (and the on button light does go off momentarily) then the on light stays on and will not turn off.
I have been unable to download the latest driver update from Windows Update or any websites automatically or manually  - TOSHIBA USB DVB-T/Analog Hybrid Tuner (391 KB).  The download always fails. I also tried the FixIt facility from Microsoft, but it tells me there are no issues.
Does this mean the driver is the issue, or do I have to purchase a new printer?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Gerri_31,
I understand you aren't able to shut down the printer with the power button.
    Thank you for your reply.
I will be happy to help you with this.
I would do a power reset to see if that will resolve the issue. With the printer still turned on, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer, hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain any power, if the printer has external power module with a detachable power cord disconnect it for 15 seconds and then reconnect it. Then disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable back to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and power it on again.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector)
I have provided a document for power issues.
The HP Printer Won't Turn On or Respond.
If these steps don't resolve the issue I would recommend to call HP Tech Support for
further assistance to see what other options are available for you or to find out about
the trade in and trade up program.
    Contact HP Worldwide.
    Hope this helps.

  • OCR Software for HP PSC 1350 All-in-one

My mother owns a HP PSC 1350 All-in-one.  She has Windows 7 OS.  She has had it for a while and never needed to scan and type, but she does now for work.
Does anyone know if the HP PSC 1350 All-in-one came with OCR Software on the disk, or if it is downloadable?
If not are there any OCR freeware programs that won't contaminate her computer with ad & mal ware?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
No more support from the Vista ages or at least 7 years ago:
       http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=306888
You can scan to Word under XP means it does have an OCR software.

  • User Defined Paper Size, Windows 7, PSC 2110 all in one printer

I am trying to print a 5x7 photo using the user defined paper size of my PSC 2110 All-in-One printer.  When I used X
P os, it was easy to do.  Since upgrading to Windows 7, I have been using the default drivers that load with that, but it doesn't have the ability to define paper size.  Is there a driver available that would let me do this?  I've tried to use compatability mode to get the original drivers from the installation disc to work, but it won't do it.

    Hi,
The last update was for Vista, 5 years ago:
        http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4220...
At this stage, Windows 7 only supplies a very basic and generic print driver for this printer just for print. You may want to keep that way or buy a new printer.
    Regards.
