HP Quick Forms won't print on my HP ENVY 7645

Most of the apps work on my HP ENVY 7645.  However I'm not able to print anything on the HP Quick Forms.  Any solutions?

Hi @trissak,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you are unable to print using the HP Quick Forms printable found on the front of your  Envy 7645 printer.
Once you have chosen the form that you would like to print (for example 5mm graph paper) you should see an example on the screen with a blue “Print” button in the lower right hand corner.  Before pressing the print button, please tap on the example form and hold until you see the number of copies choice appear beside the example.  Once the number of copies is chosen, please tap on the blue print button.  The form should then print.
Please let me know the outcome.

  • HP8600 won't print from new HP Envy PC Windows 8.1 PC - only local users

I have an existing HP 8600 all-in-one printer this was never any problem on a homegroup network with my Windows 7 HP Pavillion destop PC and other portables.  I have just upgraded to a HP Envy Desktop PC, but it has come with Windows 8.1 (Ouch!).  I use this PC to run a home business and apart from having a connection to internet land I want nothing at all to do with have a Windows 'live' account on the new Envy.  The Admin account that I have set up is a local one.  I can't therefore download any application from the 'store' and neither do I want to.
In the absence of anything from the 'store' and as it wouldn't set-up automatically I have downloaded the original  HP 8600 application and installed that.
The various office applications 'see' the HP8600 as existing and ready to print to - identified as HP Officejust Pro 8600 (Network) in the list of printers.  However they won't print to it (the print jobs fail) and when I try Printer setup and software from the HP8600 software installed as noted above in the Ultities section it says that it is unable to retreive the computers network name when I enter the printer's IP address when required.
So much for plug 'n' play.  Though the printer is connected the network wirelessly LOL.   Given that this is HP trying to talk to HP and failing I am baffled - please can someone help.
NB.  In camparison he old ancient HP1150 laser hard wired to the PC isn't batting an eyelid and is printing fine from first plug in with no changes!!  I need the HP8600 to function wirelessly though as everyone uses it.

Hi there @HPJOC , welcome to the forums
I read your posts about print jobs failing from your Windows 8.1 system, and wanted to reply to you with some of my suggestions.
First run the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results. I also would like you to check the Network Info you see in the image below, make sure VPN Connection says "No". Try printing again afterwards.
Next, try a Clean Boot, restart the PC, and try a print from Notepad and elsewhere if you wish. Go back into the clean boot instructions and enable the start up programs afterwards. I am curious to know if there is something running on your Windows 8.1 system that is blocking the printer from communicating with the printer. This step will let us know.
    Let me know the results

  • Duplex Printing w/ Quick Forms

Is there a way to enable duplex printing with Quick Forms so that forms (such as school paper) are printed on both sides of the page?
    Thanks.
    Steve

    stestardi:
At this time an automated option to print duplex with Quick Forms is not available.
As noted, you can print on both sides manually, by printing out a quick form item on one side of a page, re-insert that page in your paper tray with the blank side down (printed side up/visible to you) and print a second quick form item on the blank side.

    Hello,
Is your printer connected to a wireless network with Internet access?
Do other web services work on the printer? Meaning, can you use ePrint or the Printables on the front panel? (printables = apps on the printer like Disney, Menu Planner, Quick Forms, and so on.)

  • C6380 Prints everything OK but won't print out emails

Honestly, my succint subject title says it all. I can print anything from OpenOffice, photos, notepad, PDF files, anything from the web but I can't print out my own emails. I have tried turning the printer off and on, and I have tried rebooting my computer. I just downloaded the diagnostic utility from HP and it found no problems. I have a trip planned and I'm trying to print out the airline and hotel confirms and they just won't print.
    What to do?
    Thanks!

    Hi Garfld,
I am providing you few steps to load an alternate driver on your computer and you can try it and check the email printing.
First print the network configuration page form the printer using these steps and note down the IP address:
Setup Menu>>Network>>View Network Settings>>Print Network Configuration Page
Now on your computer click on start menu>> on the start search type run and press enter.
You will be able to see a run box and on the run box copy and paste the command and press enter a black box will open and close quickly.
    cmd /c rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "HP C6380 New" /f %windir%\inf\ntprint.inf /r "LPT1:" /m "hp deskjet 990c" && rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /y /n "HP C6380 New"
Now if you open the printers folder from start menu on your computer>> control panel>> printers.
You would be able to see the printer icon in there named as HP C6380 New with a checkmark on it and says ready.
Now please right click on it and select properties and select ports tab and you would be able to see the port selected as LPT1(now need to change the port from LPT1 to Standard TCP/IP port).
Once you see the LPT1 port click on add a port, Select Standard TCP/IP port and click on New port and a new box will appear asking to enter the IP address. Enter IP address which you noted down from the network configuration page and click on next and next and finish the wizard. Once the wizard disappears click on apply button available on the ports window and click on general tab and select print test page.
Check if the printer prints the test page fine and if yes try and print your email and check the result.
If the steps helps you please click on Kudos and mark the post as resolved

  • Deskjet 3050 Won't Print Wirelessly

    Hi there,
My new all in one 3050 won't print for me. It is "Offline" in the network page. I feel I have explored every avenue and it will still not print. The wireless network configuration page I printed says everything passed. The home network disagnostic tool says "software missing" after i click test connection. The print diagnostic tool fails on connectivity everytime. I can connect to the printer ip 192.168.1.3 in the browser 95% of the time but not always. My router is a Zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3. I'm really close to tears with frustration, I'm quite computer and networking savvy but I cannot fix this. please help, I'd be eternally grateful.

  • HP Officejet pro 8500 won't print and keeps asking for a proxy setting. Help.

HP Officejet pro 8500 won't print and keeps asking for a proxy setting. Help.

    Hi,
Can you confirm that you have an Officejet 8500a or Officejet 8500? On the 8500a model, you can set the networks proxy address and port setting from the front panel of the printer (setup>Webservices setup>proxy). If you are unsure what your proxy settings are you'll need to contact your network admin. If your network uses a proxy users name and password for all devices, you need to enter this information along with the proxy address and port in the printers embedded web server. Type the products IP address into an internet brownser window (printer must be connected to the same network as PC). Select the network tab, and than look for the proxy settings option. Enter in the information and click apply. Once the networks proxy information has been correctly inputed into the embedded web server, try printing again. If unsuccessfully, you might try reinstalling the printer software after uninstalling it. Hope this helps!

  • Officejet 6500A won't print

My officejet 6500A plus won't print often.  It says it can't communicate with my Asus pc.   I unplug it for a day or two and it starts printing!  Just turning it off doesn't help.  I need to unplug it.  Meanwhile I can't print for days!  Any suggestions?

    Hey @collage,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the communication issues you're receiving on your Windows 8.1 computer when trying to print to your HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer. Can I please have you run through the steps below.
    Step 1: Run Microsoft Hotfix:
Microsoft recently released a Hotfix to resolve printing issues on the Windows 8.1 Operating System. I'm going to have you start by running the Microsoft Fix to see if this quickly resolves your intermittent print issues.
    Microsoft Support: Hotfix
Once the website opens, select the Hotfix Download Available box. Run through the onscreen instructions to complete the Hotfix update.
Once the Hotfix is complete, please test printing again. Should the issue persist, please proceed to the next step.
    Step 2: Add Alternate Driver:
Even though there is a Full Feature Software and Driver download available for your printer on Windows 8.1, there is a chance that your Windows 8.1 Operating System is not agreeing with the driver for your printer. To confirm if this is the case please follow the steps below.
Open your Start screen (either by selecting the windows start button in the bottom left hand corner or by selecting the 'Windows' button on the bottom left of your keyboard to the left of 'Ctrl'
In the Start Screen type 'Devices and Printers'
If the Devices and Printers option doesn't automatically populate, than click on Settings on the top right and then click on Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers folder right click on your HP Officejet 6500A Plus and left click on Printer Properties
Left click on the Advanced tab
    Left click on New Driver
When the New Driver window opens just hit 'next' until you see a list of Manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
Select HP as the Manufacturer on the left
Select Deskjet 9800 as the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 doesn't appear than select 'Windows Update' on the bottom left and once the update completes you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit next to complete the New Driver Wizard
Under the Printer Properties window select 'Apply' but don't hit OK
    Select the General tab
Rename your printer back to HP Officejet 6500A Plus
    Hit OK
Lastly, right click on your HP Officejet 6500A Plus one more time and left click on Printing Preferences
Left click on the Paper/Quality tab
Left click on the 'Normal' dropdown for Print Quality on the bottom right and change this to Fast Normal
    Hit Apply and OK
    Try to print!
Please let me know if either the Hotfix from Microsoft of the alternate print driver resolves your printing issues. Best of luck!

  • Printer won't print from laptop

Here goes!  I hope this is enough info.
I have an old (but faithful) HP v40 All-In-One color printer that worked beautifully until August, 2014.  I got malware on my laptop and when I got software to work on removing the malware, my printer would no longer work with my laptop. When I replace the ink cartridges, the printer prints the alignment page with no problem.  It just won't print any documents from my laptop any more.  Somehow I have v40, v40 (1) and v40 (2) printers listed under the printer/devices & cannot erase them.  Anyway, I have created a default on all three and it still doesn't print.
When MS updated files to my computer, could the original printer driver be too old to work with the updated files? OR
    your suggestion please!!
Unfortunately I don't have the Internet anymore so it may take a day or two to get back to whomever answers this post.  Thanks in advance.

    Hi @KJazz
I understand you are having some troubles with ol' faithful, aka your v40 printer!
Running the Print and Scan Doctor might help, but you would need internet to download it. The HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that helps to quickly resolve common printing, scanning and connectivity issues including but not limited to:
    Connectivity:
USB: Verifies that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product is working correctly.
Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working correctly.
Device Status Test: Checks for device errors such as out of paper, paper jams, carriage stalls, and paper feed issues, and then provides instructions for fixing the error.
Driver Check: Checks for missing or corrupt driver files.
Device Manager: Checks for problems in Device Manager that would prevent printing.
Device Online: Checks if the product has been paused or set to offline, and then sets the status back to online if necessary.
Print Queue: Checks for and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a log of print jobs waiting to print).
Port Match: Checks the port settings for the HP product.
Device Conflicts: Checks for conflicts with other drivers, such as other printer brands.
Ink Issues: Checks the cartridges and ink levels for issues that affect print quality.
Print Settings: Checks and adjusts the print quality settings.
Test Print: Prints a test page for print quality evaluation, and provides options for cleaning and aligning the printhead if necessary.
Scan Tests: Checks the scan mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.
Source:Try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows
Click here to download and run the Print and Scan Doctor> www.hp.com/go/tools
***  You could go somewhere where you would have internet access, and download the Print and Scan Doctor to thumb drive. Then use the Thumb drive to install it and us it on the computer.
If that does not resolve the issue, post back and let me know if there are any symbols other than green check marks and what they are next to of course. The wrench is not always easy to spot as the wrench and the check mart are in the green circle.
If you see only green check marks (), the tool did not find any problems.
If you see green wrenches (), the utility identified an issue and corrected it automatically.
If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and required user action, but the step was skipped.
If you see a red X (), follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the issue.
I look forward to hearing back from you

  • Printer won't print problem

We purchased an HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m last December. We have an HP Pavilion 513c with Microscoft Windows XP home edition version 2002.
At first the printer worked quite well. But for the last few months we have had an intermittent problem where it won’t print.
When the printer is working as it should, after we hit the print icon, a small window comes up telling us the ink levels and asking if we want to cancel – then it prints the document. But sometimes we hit the print icon and the little window comes up and says it can’t tell the ink levels, and the printer doesn’t print. If I turn the printer on and off, sometimes it will work again, and sometimes it won’t. Other times, if I unplug the usb cord and plug it back in, it will start working again. Anyway, we eventually get the printer working again – but the problem isn’t fixed – in a day or two it will happen again, and this gets quite frustrating.
So far I haven’t been able to figure out what may be causing the problem. Sometimes the printer prints, and sometimes it doesn’t.
I went to the HP website to see if there were driver updates. The website says there were, but for some reason I couldn’t download them.

I successfully downloaded the updated driver. Was hoping that would eliminate the problem, but it hasn't, and I have continued to try to figure out why!!! Although the printer works fine for most everything else, it will frequently jump off-line (although the control panel will not say it is off-line) when I try to pull up and print a picture from my camera's memory card (using the HP Photo Impressions).
The only things I can say for sure:
    1) It is intermittent, and very frustrating at how often it does happen.
    2) To fix the problem when it happens, sometimes just turning the printer off for 10 seconds, and then back on, will fix the problem. Other times it won't and I will also have to disconnect the connection to the computer, and then re-connect them.
    3) There appears to be some connection with the connection to my camera's memory card.
    4) There appears to be some connection with Photo Impressions - see additional comments on this below.
At times, when trying to pull up a picture with Photo Impressions I will get this message (it is important to note that the picture could be attached to an e-mail, on the hard drive, or the camera memory card):
      "Windows - no disk
    Exception Processing Message c0000013 parameters 75b6b17c  4  7566bf7c  75b6bf7c"
along with a "cancel" button, a "try again" button, and a "continue" button. None of the buttons will work with just one click. The computer appears to be locked up. However, if you click on one of the button about 20 to 30 times very quickly, the picture will then open. At that point, sometimes it will print and sometimes it will not print. However, if I turn off the printer, the picture will then open as normal.
We are not that computer savvy as far as the technical stuff goes, but we have both used computers for several years, and have never had a problem like this one. Please help!!

  • CS3 won't print

I've suddenly run into a situation where PS CS3 won't print. The Print dialog comes up as usual, but after making the selections and hitting Print, the print job never makes it to the printer(s).I'm using Epson printers and running Mac OSX Leopard. I can print to the printers from other applications, and even from PS CS2. I've checked my scratch disk for space, so the images can be spooled, and have plenty of RAM available. The size of the images doesn't seem to matter.
I recently upgraded to the latest CUPS drivers, but I don't think that should affect PS. Epson says that the printers have built in support in Leopard, so no individual drivers can be downloaded. I would think that PS would be using thebult in drivers that shiop with the OS and not the Gutenprint drivers, anyway.
Has anyone had this problem before, or a solution?
    Thanks in advance
    William

CUPS and Gutenprint are two different animals, though the former is needed to use the latter.
    You'll find the uninstaller here:
    http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php
CAUTIONARY NOTE for CS4 users: If you have an Epson printer model for which Epson does not offer a 16-bit printer driver (for instance the Epson 2200 don't know of any others off-hand)), the latest version of Gutenprint, 5.2.2, will allow you to use 16-bit printing in Tiger and Leopard. In that case, you may definitely want to keep Gutenprint. I've been running it with no problems for about a week.
Gutenprint 5.2.2, released some two weeks ago, appears very stable and offers several bug fixes from earlier Gutenprint 5.2.x releases.
On the other hand, don't take this as a riniging endorsement of 16-bit printing (yet) if you're not already experimenting with it. I'm very happy with preliminary results, but it does slow printing considerably, as you're sending an awful lot more information to the printer. :)
