HP Scanjet 200 software on 32 bit Windows

Hi guys,
I have a HP Scanjet 200.
I'm trying to install the scanjet software on a 32 bit windows 7, but it seems that it works only on 64 bit systems. Has anyone been able to install it on a 32 bit machine? I'm talking about the sofware and not the driver. I have installed the driver without problems but I would like to have the software as well.
I appreciate any help.

So even though it does not install properly, you get files on your system for the installation?
Clean them out again. IF you can see the software in the list of Uninstall Programs in Windows, then use REVO uninstaller (free version) to do it.
Run Ccleaner registry cleaner
Remove anything left over in AppData, etc.
Just like before. Make sure all files are removed.
NOW try installing from Safe Mode to see if it will install. Safe Mode will turn off all but just the minimal things needed to run Windows. Perhaps an Anti-Virus suite is preventing it.
Did  you redownload the software to make sure you have a good copy?
Tap the F8 key on start up (depending on what computer your have) to get the Safe Mode options and choose Safe Mode.
Alternative:
IF you have the Run box enabled in Win 7, go to Start/Run and type msconfig.
in the system configuration window that opens, select the Boot tab and tick the Safe Mode or Safe Boot box with Minimal. Click Apply and restart your computer.
IF you get a bios screen asking which version of Safe Mode to open, choose the first one.
(after your done working in Safe Mode, go to the Configuration box and untick the Safe boot box to restart in Normal mode).
Windows should start in "Safe Mode" now.
Relaunch the installer to see if it works.

    Hi All,
Subject: Please help me to get Oracle 10.2.0.5 software for 64 bit Windows 2008 R2 operating system.
I am looking for Oracle 10.2.0.5 software to install in windows 2008 server (64 bit) R2. I tried with oracle download repository but unfortunately I couldnt find this software. In the below link I can see the product Oracle 10.2.0.5 - 64 bit (Itanium). I have tried to download and install in the server but I received in-compatible error message.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html
From the oracle support certification site I have found that the Oracle 10.2.0.5 is the compatible version to installed in windows 2008 server(64) R2.
I am trying very hard to find Oracle 10.2.0.5 - 64 bit. Can you please suggest me where I can download this software.
    Please do the needful.
    Regards,
    Jame

    Hi;
Which means, do i need to install 10.2.0.4 and then to upgrade 10.2.0.5 using patchset?10.2.0.1 is base relase 10.2.0.x is patchest. 10.2.0.5 cover previous patchest errors which mean you do not need install 10.2.0.4 than upgrade it 10.2.0.5

  • The software Icon is still on taskbar , after I close the software in 64-bit Windows 7.

    Hi,
I programmed two labview software. One is bigger and the other is smaller. Both  work fine on windows XP. After I move those software to 64-bit windows 7, I found the smaller one can not close correctly, but the bigger one is good. The software Icon of the smaller one is still on taskbar, after I close it. The windows 7 tasks manager shows 'Not responding'. I can not figure out how to fix it. I have to kill the process manually.
    Please help me
    Thanks a lot.

  • Software and Drivers for an HP Scanjet 5590 with a 64 bit Windows 7 computer.

I thought that I had posted the following question but as I can't find it I will try again.  I have been given a HP Scanjet 5590 scanner with no Software or Drivers for 64 bit Windows 7 computer and looking through the Web I saw some awful comments on the experiences of those using the software and drivers.  I don’t want to make the same mistake so could anyone tell me how to go about obtain the correct software and drivers?

    Corporal,
Here is the link for the software...
If you have the "p" model, backtrack a the link and reselect the proper model.
You want the "Full Feature" software.
Note that the download size is 315MB - plan accordingly if you have a slow connection...
While you are there, be sure to download the Print Doctor utiltity.  (Do that first, it is tiny.)  This may help later with installation and connection issues, if needed.)

  • Scanjet 200 software not installing correctly

    I'm running Win7SP1.64bit.
Some of the software doesn't appear to have installed correctly, therefore the two desktop shortcuts (HP Scanning and HP Copy) do not work (they both point to hpqkygrp.exe which does not exist on my HDD or on the CD (although it could be in a CAB file in the setup folder)).
There are no scanner shortcuts at all in my Start menu - only HP Update.
All the buttons on the scanner do launch the scan app but it only allows me to scan to picture (JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF). I cannot scan to PDF, scan to email, or scan to printer (copy).
In the scan app, if I click to change the scanner I get the oportunity to change the properties... On the Events tab, I should be able to configure the actions associated with each of the four buttons but the only available "Start this program" action is "Scan". All four buttons are set to this action.
Control Panel -> Programs&Features entries are
        HP Update,
HP Imaging Device Functions 14.5 and
        OCR Software by I.R.I.S. 14.5.
I've installed and uninstalled the driver and the software numerous times with no difference. I've tried the driver on the CD and downloaded the latest driver from the HP website. I've followed all the troubleshooting procedures I can find but none have helped and i've tried googling this elusive hpqkygrp.exe and found diddlysquat.
I have little enough hair left as it is. Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong?

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at Scanners.

    Hi there!
Please see  this thread for the download links for the Fingerprint Software 5.8 ....
This issue was already raised in the ThinkVantage subforum here at Lenovo Forums and it is resolved.
Regarding the Turbo Memory, please keep in mind that the hardware only works with Vista. Windows XP does not support turbo memory thus the piece of hardware is rendered useless. With regards to Turbo Memory usage in Vista, the latest drivers do fully support the card in Vista and since there are no technological changes, there is no need for additional or new drivers.
    Hope this helps!

    Good day
I have a new (6 December 2014) HP Scanjet 200.  I have a Dell Latitude using Windows 8.1 and it is a 64 bit OS.
I installed the software from the disk.  The two desktop shortcuts (HP Scanning and HP Copy) do not work as they both point to hpqkygrp.exe which does not exist on my HDD or on the CD.  I then downloaded both driver options from your web site and that did not help.  I then unisntalled the software and staerted again from the disk.  No use.  I then uninstalled and again downloaded the full software from your web site.  Still does not work.

  • How to fix huge iTunes memory leak in 64-bit Windows 7?

iTunes likes to allocate as much as 1.6GB of memory on my dual-quad XEON 8GB 64-Bit Windows computer and then becomes unresponsive.
This can happen several times a day and has been going on for as long as I can remember.  No other software that I use does this - only Apple's iTunes.  Each version I have installed of iTunes appears to have this same memory leak.  Currently I am running version 10.7.0.21.
I love iTunes when it works.  But having to constantly kill and relaunch the app throughout the day is bringing me down.
Searching for a fix for this on the internet just surfaces more and more complaints about this problem - but without a solution.
Having written shrinkwrapped software for end users as well as for large corporations and governments for more than 25 years I know a thing or two about software.  A leak like this should take no more than a day or two to locate using modern software tools and double that to fix it.  So why with each new version of iTunes does this problem persist?  iTunes for Windows is the flagship software product Apple makes for non-Mac users - yet they continue to pass up each opportunity they have had over the years with each new release to fix this issue.  Why is this?
Either the software engineers are not that good or they have been told NOT to spend time on this issue.  I personally believe that the engineers at Apple are very good, and therefore am left thinking that the latter is more likely the case.  Maybe this is to coax people to purchase a Mac so that they can finally run iTunes without these egregious memory leaks.  I would like to offer another issue to consider.
Just as Amazon sold Kindles and Google sold Nexus tablets at low cost - not counting on margin for profit - but instead they wanted to saturate the marketplace with tools for making future purchases of content almost trivial to do with their devices.  Apple also counts on this model with their pricer hardware - but they also have iTunes.  Instead of trying to get people to switch to a MAC by continuing to avoid fixing this glaring issue in iTunes for Windows I would like to suggest that by allowing their engineers to address this issue that Apple will help keep Windows users from jumping ship to another music app.  The profit to be made by keeping those Windows users happy and wedded to the iTunes store is obvious.
By continuing to keep this leak in iTunes for Windows all it does is lower my esteem for the company and start to make me wonder if the software is just as buggy on Macs.

I have same issue. Ongoing for more than 1 year and currently running iTunes 11.3.
My PC is Dell OptiPlex 990 I7 processor, 8GB ram, W7 64 [always keep things patched up to latest OS updates etc]
I use this iTunes install to stream music videos etc to multiple appleTVs, ipads, iphones etc .. via Home Sharing
Store all my media including music, videos and apps on separate NAS  .. so the iTunes running on PC is only doing the traffic cop role and streaming / using files stored on NAS .. creates lots of IO across my network
Previous troubleshooting suggest possible contributing causes include
    a) podcast updates  .. until recently I had this auto updates on multiple podcast subscriptions, presumably the iTunes would flow this from the PC to save on the NAS across the network .. if the memory leak is in the iTunes network communication layer (?bonjour?)  this may be sensitive to IO that would not normally occur if the iTunes file saving was local on the same PC
    b) app updates .. have 200+ apps in my library and there is always a batch of updates .. some updates 100s of MB is size .. routinely see 500MB to 1GB of updates in single update run .. all my apps are
    c) streaming music / movies .. seems when we ramp up streamlining of music or movies . memory leak grows faster .. ie within hours of clean start
    c) large syncs of music or videos to ipads or iphones .. noticed that get big problems when I rebuild an ipad .. I typically have 60+ GB of data in terms of apps /  music / videos to load .. have to do rebuild in phases due to periodic lockups

  • HP Scanning in Win 8.1Pro will not launch after pressing buttons on Scanjet 200

When I press a button on the scanner, the software that turns up is the default "scanner" in Win 8.1Pro.
I would prefer the "HP scansoftware" to appear. On other platforms, it works fine after installation but on Win 8.1Pro it seems impossible to accomplish.

    Hi @JanVranken,
I understand that you are no longer able to launch the HP Scanning software from the printer. I can help you with this.
The Full Software for the printer would need to be installed for this feature to work.
Did you download and install the Full Driver Software for the printer or are you using the Windows Classic drivers?

  • 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium compatibilty?

I'm looking to purchase a new PC that runs the 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm wondering if my older programs, Premiere Pro 1.5, Photoshop 7, and Dreamweaver MX 2004 will run in the new system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Gee, Phyllis I've read on microsofts own site that CS3 was 64 bit vista compatable and CS4 was native. I'm still on Photoshop 7 so I can't help you but on photoshop re-installs that load with messages about missing files , I search in my back up folders for the previous computer where it ran fine and copy it into my photoshop program folder.
If you google the exact missing file message you may find a site that charges for it. I'd be scared to do that, though.
Bob, if I grasp it correctly 64 bit compatible means "EUREAKA" the software runs on 64 bit vista in at least one case so we'll call it vista compatible. Vista 64 bit native means software will use bigger chunks of data and access more RAM available because it's been re-writen / coded and designed for it.
I had my old dell inspiron 8100 laptop start to BSD occasionally. I do a lot of photoshop and picture storage and have 2 big HP dual xeon 800 FSB workstations with XP Pro and 4GB of RAM (3.5 showing) for sit in one spot work. I broke down and bought a new laptop last september to replace the dell.
Got a gamers laptop and changed the OS to Ultimate 64 bit from Home Premium 64 bit and changed a single weirdly partitioned 200 GB 7200 RPM SATA drive to dual 320 GB 7200 RPM SATA HD's.Had to buy Partition Manager from Paragon to partition drives like I wanted (OS and programs on separate spindle from paging file and scratch disk)and it had to boot in a DOS mode to do partitioning succesfully and worked fine on Vista 64 bit. Norton Anti - virus works and was listed as 64 bit compatible when I bought it. Acronis True Image 11 home clearly states "Supports 64 bit CPU and windows Vista" so I guess they do or they don't................Got refunds from lavasoft and spyware blaster they both claimed Vista 32 and 64 bit but were quick to give refunds. Would not load or install.
As you can see I'm trying to adapt to vista and 64 bit so I'm used to it when I get new Vista workstations with more RAM for Photoshop. I've e-mailed Roxio support and have been issued a ticket # for my original problem. Let's see what they say..............Raymond
