Hp scanjet 5000 scan profile to button

Hello all. I have a HP Scanjet 5000. I used to be able to scan by pressing a physical button on the scanner that had the profile to scan. I have recently moved to a new office and installed the scanner onto a new computer. I am unable to scan from the scanner itself but have to open up the HP Smart Document Scan Software and click the scan button. That being the problem, I now have Scanner Tools utility- HP Scanjet 5000 (L2715A) open. I can see profiles for [HP copy profiles] and [Other Application profiles] but under [HP scan software profiles] it says "No profiles available. The HP smart Document Scan Software is not Installed." I am unable to to create or add new profiles to [ HP Scan Software Profiles] so I can add to the [Scanner LCD Profiles]. So in summation, I am trying to add a scan profile to [Scanner LCD Profiles] so I can scan pressing the button on the scanner. I hope I am clear in my explanation. Thank you in advance. -Secure80

Hi - I have an HP Scanjet 5000, running through a TP-LINK TL-310u MFP & Print Server installed on a Windows XP machine and it works perfectly apart from the fact the user complains about the PC slowing down whenever anyone Scans a document.
So I'm trying to move it onto a Windows 7 machine. And it's *almost* working. From the Windows 7 PC I can quite happily select a users profile (all our users have a profile set with a destination unique to them) and scan a document and it's put in the correct place. However, our users like to scan from the scanner itself by selecting their profile on the LCD and pressing one of the buttons. This is the bit that doesn't work.
I've checked in Devices & Printers -> Scan Properties -> Events and the scan button is set to 'HP Scan Dispatch 3' Not sure if this is correct (other options are 'HP Scanjet 5000 - Scanner Tools Utility') but the other option doesn't work and furthermore stops me being able to scan using profiles from the PC.
In the utility, 'Disable front Panel Buttons' is NOT ticked.
When I connect it back to the Windows XP PC it works straightaway, so I think it's something to do with Windows 7.

I've taken the TP-Link device out of the loop now, and connected directly via USB. I'm still experiencing the same issue - can scan from within the software, but the buttons don't do anything.
It seems to be something to do with the 'HP Scan Dispatch 3' that in the registry is set to use:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Hewlett-Packard\Scanjet\5000 (L2715A)\hpScanDispatch3.exe Scan# /StiDevice:%1 /StiEvent:%2;
I don't know what the parameters are supposed to be, but this program simply isn't launching. The other option available under 'Events' from 'Devices & Printers', does start the Scan Utility program, but this isn't the behaviour I'm after - it should perform the scan and save the pdf in the destination without any user intervention.
Any help gratefully received, hopefully whilst I still have some hair left...

I have a fujitsu scanner (fi-6140) connected to my computer and have the "Scan" button on the scanner associated with Adobe Acrobat. And so when I press the "Scan" button on the scanner to scan a document, it launches Adobe Acrobat Pro automatically. Then I get prompted to select a scanner/device and a scan profile. It seems to remember the last-used scanner/device, however; it still prompts me each time to confirm the scanner/device selected and select a scan profile to use. Is there a way to save both the scanner & scan profile information and so when I click the "Scan" button, it doesn't prompt me to select but starts scanning using the last-used settings automatically?

Are you facing the issue with any pdf file?
Please try updating Acrobat to 11.0.7 and check.
You might also want to repair Acrobat and see.

I tried scanning a document using HP Scanjet 5000 Sheet feed Scanner ,but the result of the scan page is totally black.I don't know what to do, i tried cleaning the rollers, turning on/off the machine but still the same black page is coming.Please help anybody to solve this problem.

Windows Deployment Service. Network Profile Radio Buttons greyed out with R2

Hi All
I have downloaded and setup Server 2008 R2 (not yet activated). I have added the following roles "DHCP Server", "DNS Server", "Active Directory Domain Services" and "Windows Deployment Services". I can PXE boot a test client machine and (using the boot.win from windows 7 dvd) multicast a XP Image to it. This setup is connected via a 100 Mb switch and is an isolated network.
Under windows deployment services - if I right click my server - select properties - network tab "Network Profile is greyed out". I have tried running wdsutil /Set-TransportServer /Server:big /Profile:100Mbps but get the following error message: "Windows Deployment Services Management Utility Version 6.1.7600.16385. Error code 0xC110011F This WDS transport server does not support network profiles.
I have tried this on two hardware setups:
An Intel D915GUX 3GHz 2GB RAM and Marvel Yukon 88E8050 ethernet controller.
An Intel D965 Core2Duo 1.86GHz 2GB RAM and Intel 82566DM Network controller.
Incidently I have done the same setup with Server 2008 (not R2) on the D965 and the Network Profile radio buttons are not greyed out. If I upgrade the same test machine to server 2008 R2 the Network Profile radio buttons are greyed out. Is this a design change, does Server 2008 R2 no longer support network profiles as I am now unable to select 10 100 or 1000 Mbs ?
If more information is required or if anything needs further detail please let me know.

Is there any way at all to manually set or control the network profile? In my environment, a SCCM\WDS multicast stream is bottoming out on speed and network utilization when the stream crosses a Nexus 7009 router. Speeds go from 200 Mbps to 20 mbps. I have
a theory that this "new" automatic configuration is placing the clients in a slow network profile that are on the opposite side of the router and I have been unable to find a way to speed of the transmission. I have also ruled out the "master
client" slowing down the stream buy using different clients only connecting to a stream 1 at a time. I have also ruled out the router as the source of the problem by having a VLC client listen to the multicast stream on the same side of the router as
the slow clients. The VLC client (unknown to SCCM\WDS) was able to receive the transmissions at 20 % utilization / 200 Mbps.

i'm using the submit statement to execute a program(download data as xml file) in background.
When i do that, I receive : Virus scan profile /SCET/GUI_UPLOAD is not active
in SPRO, i have the following:
when i tick on columns Active and Default profile, i receive:
Recursive occurrence of virus scan profile /SCET/GUI_UPLOAD in the sequence /SCET/GUI_UPLOAD
Details:
When i start extraction for FI data via abap Report in Background, i receive that error.
The abap report do a download of data from several tables to the XML file.
I tried the download to local PC and To Application server, but i receive in the both situation the same error...
Any idea to solve this issue?

Apps can only be used with the Apple ID they were bought with. So you can't use old and apps bought with your new Apple ID on one device. And merging Apple IDs is not supported.

CG36 - No virus scan profile is selected as the "default profile"

When running transaction CG36 - Import Reports, I'm getting this message in the job log:
"No virus scan profile is selected as the "default profile" VSCAN 034 I"
Do I have to set up a default profile for virus scan? I have never seen this error until recent upgrade. Is there a way to by pass this virus scan if we choose not to activate it?

I encountered the same problem during the CG36 transaction.
"Error during virus scan in file "...\usr\sap\.....\xixoxoxioxo.pdf" with Message class "CM_REPORT_IMP_EXP" 010 E
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE.
This may be due to BASIS security level virus scan checks on the files being imported to the application server. Is BASIS assistance required on this or any workaround to bypass?

We need to activate the Virus Scan profile, so that the team could upload the document in SCM System with in SNC Page.
Its AIX 64 bit, DB2 9.1 SCM 7.01
I have seen the document of this and found i need to start with the group creation: Done
Then, We need to create a RFC type T with Registered program:
Q.1 I need to know what would be the external program in this case.
Q.2 I have downloaded Virus Scanner and connector for ClamAV
Q.3 Do i need to install the product in step 2 in the same server AIX 64 or in other machine and what would be the Register program.
Q.4 What is the Role of VSI and SAP VSI 7.01 is available for Windows Server on IA32 32bit only andhow would we install this , when and where?

Virus scan profile activation in ODATA

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue while uploading Image(*Base64 format)
into SAP through Netweaver Odata Gateway services. The issue is that the
content of the Image is supposed to come in a field that has datatype Xstring
but when we include a field with data type Xstring the framework starts giving
an error no virus scan profile is active . We did try various combinations of
Standard Virus Profile maintained , but no resolution came out of it. Now we
have created a new profile in customer namespace but now it gives an error
Incorrect Configuration for Profile <Profile Name>. We need help in
trying to figure out what is correct configuration that is to be maintained to
fix this issue.
There is an alternative that we deactivate the Virus Scan
profile through transaction /IWFND/VIRUS_SCAN and then we are able to post the
images , but this doesn’t look like an ideal solution as it would involve
transporting Virus scan profile to Production and quality and then deactivating
them over there manually.
I am getting error on "Recursive occurrence of virus scan profile in the sequence"
Please suggest.

Virus Scan profile activated - implications?

Hello.
we have a custom program that makes IDOCS into PDF's and then emails them.
if the Virus Scan profile /SCMS/KPRO_CREATE is not activated it fails saying that it isnt activated.
There is Note 1382313 that states not to activate it, only if you need it activate it.
So we do need it and activated it now but what else is now scanned as well?
And how come its needed when we create documents? So far I have only found it to be needed for incoming objects?

Though the profile is active, you need a virus scanner.
you need External Virus Scanner to be setup in the VSCAN--> Servers.
Few Virus Scanners are McAfee, Avira, and http://www.bowbridge.de/index.php?id=31&L=1
BowBridge.
Once the setup is done, use VSCANPROFILE---> Activate it and use VSCANTEST to test sample antivirus.
After the activation only the docuemnts which are using the profile are scanned, the idea is when you upload a documet to SAP then it is scanned.

whenever we run Server URL from The Browser, first we must need run "chrome.exe --args --disable-web-security" command on CMD. on located directory the Chrome has installed.
to disable web security.
if I did not run that command on CMD, then Fiori Apps not worked.
Why it's compulsory to disable web security.

Help with Windows 7 native scanning "Scan Profiles"

Hey everyone, I've got a problem I just can't seem to find the answer for. We have a couple workstations in our environment (Win7 Pro 64-bit) that are going to be used for card scanning--specifically the Fujitsu
Flatbed fi-60F. There are no issues with the scanning utility itself (Windows built-in scanner), or the scanner--rather it works quite flawlessly, and have created
a custom "Scan Profile" for appropriate DPI, etc, as well as changed import settings to point to a network share, and set all of this as default--which works great until you log into the PC as a different user.
Once the new user is logged on, all scan settings change back to normal defaults. My settings will still have been saved
in the initial config session, but for each new user that logs into Windows, the settings will have to manually be changed. It's not really that difficult to do so, but I'll grab at any possibility to reduce help desk calls.
I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a way to make this happen--I'm not really seeing any "public" or "all users" option. Search engines (don't know if I can use names?) don't give me a whole lot either. Has anyone else dealt with
this frustration before? Could you point me in the right direction?

Yes, we can use Windows UI to connect the scanner, but I believe this is related to specific scanner, when we click a new scan, Windows would detect current scanner, furthermore, we can change scanner later.
So you can check the AppData folder under userprofile folder, there would be located some configuration files.
For importing the existing profiles, many manufactures have provided such function with their professional scanner application.
