There are steps within it that go over how to add a printer, so I'd take a look at those and see if that helps you add the HP Scanjet and get to printing.
This next article goes over available software along with links to the company's website; however, Apple delivers third-party software for scanners and printers via Software Update, so usually all that is required is simply connecting the printer or scanner to the Mac. If software is needed and available, OS X will automatically download and install it.

Not only would it be safe but less expensive as well. The tray loaders are deemed to be the most reliable. Apple does not support Blueray so avoid that.

I have updated iOS7 today via iTunes as I was not able to update it directly in the iPhone. After the update I restored the back up and now the iPhone is not getting started. Please advice?
That error message suggest you have a permissions issue. Make sure you have full read/write privileges for the Drive/ Folder location that you are copying the files to.

PriyaSpecial > Hypertext > Command "open document" will do its best to open the target document inside FrameMaker, which may not be much help; Special > Hypertext > Command "message …" will use the application you specify. The user guide for 7.0 says this about absolute links, and I don't think anything has changed since:
For example, to start PaintBrush and open the Ship.pcx file on drive C you would use the command message system pbrush.exe C:/Ship.pcx

folder levels are separated by a slash / even in Windows and Mac
[relative links] FrameMaker searches for a relative pathname beginning in the folder that contains the current document
[absolute links] FrameMaker searches for an absolute pathname beginning at the top of the file system. In Windows, the absolute pathname begins with the drive specifier, a colon and a slash. -
Can't finish Yosemite installation on MacBook Pro, please advice!

this week, my MacBook HDD died. It was working fine, and then it boot to the flashing folder. I run the Hardware test directly from the Internet and the results said everything was ok. When I tried to use disk utility to delete everything it couldn't mount/un mount the disk, and the s.m.a.r.t. Status was failed.
When i tried to install the fresh copy o Yosmeite, the HDD wouldn't came up, so I assumed that it's was a problem with the HDD. I bought a brand new HDD, upgraded from 500g to 1T. the first time I used disk utility, I created de partition y formatted the disk without problems. I run the Yosemite installer and everything was working fine, and then it display a message that it could not finish the installation, so i tried again, and now I'm stuck in a loop when i start the Mac with the thumb drive and launch the installer it goes to the same picture of the progress bar full, but no error messages in the log, can't unmount the HDD or delete the partition using disk utility, the s.m.a.r.t status now said Not supported, and the hardware test shows that everything is fine, please advice what to do?
thanks guys!I would take it to an Apple Store's Genius Bar and ask for them to reinstall the operating system for you. They can just copy an image of the completed install to your drive and it should work assuming there's nothing physically wrong with your computer. You could also go to any other Apple Authorized Service Provider, but Apple will do it for free.

If there is an indication of minimum specification in browser support, flash player plugin or other limits that have recently been changed, those should be available from Vimeo support.
The expectation of several things to be continued in an older OS X such as Leopard 10.5.8, has been showing its age and various browsers supporting that system online are fewer now. Safari has no upgrade version for this old of OS X. You may be able to use a different web browser to see if it would work.
There may be a later version of Flash that could work, or maybe not. A few browsers may do OK, I have a version of SeaMonkey (not the PPC version) in my MacBook1.1, running in Leopard 10.5.8. The last version of FireFox is no longer updated, but I have that too. The iCab browser (shareware) may do OK, you can test it since it runs freely w/o license.
For overall better web experience, you may need to look into the MacBook specifications and consider an upgrade to both the OS X system (buy/install retail Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD -- then download Combo Update 10.6.8 v1.1) and see if the computer can support more chip RAM installed. Of course if the hard disk drive is running full, make an external archive of your created content and a backup before considering upgrading the OS X and any applications.
With Snow Leopard 10.6.8, you have better browser support, newer Flash player plugin, and a few features that may be better for your overall experience with the MacBook. However it may ask for more resources than a basic Leopard 10.5.8 system, generally most reviews appear to be good. I have a MacBook1.1 (mid-2006) coreduo 1.83GHz model; it can run Snow Leopard 10.6.8 as a last upgrade & nothing further for mine.
While OS X 10.6.8 is a portal to attempt further OS X upgrades via Mac App Store, etc, the hardware of the early older MacBook may find better usefulness left at Snow Leopard. If you have several older applications written for PPC hardware (they run under Rosetta, an option in Snow Leopard no longer available after it) you may choose to keep the upgrade path at OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard even if there is a hint your MacBook could be upgraded to, say, Lion 10.7.5. You'd lose support for older applications not written to Universal or PPC.

I'm sorry to inform you, the HP Scanjet G2710 is not compatible with Mavericks (10.9).
There are drivers available on the HP site for Mac OS X up to Mountain Lion (10.8), the scanner is not supported on any later OS version.

Kindly follow the very important instructions before download.
This error usually comes when you move adobe folder to different location from root drive and try to update the application. If the above mentioned step did not work then uninstall the application and remove all adobe folders. Restart your machine and install the application again and check for updates. It should Work.

Free characteristics Functioanlity is not working please advice

I got an problem in the report with the multiprovider ZCOPA_M01
If I open the report for this multiprovider and there are 2 default characteristics displayed in the query and after removing the drill down for those two characteristics and Now IF I go to Free characteristics and do an drill down on one of the characteristic (for example: Geographical Type)and place an filter on the Geographical Region (Geographical region is also an free characteristic) now I find no values in the set filter screen.
But when I again remove the drill down on Geographical type and do an drill down on geographical region and set an filter on geographical region then you can see all the values...(In filter screen)
Can any one please advice me for the same. How to get values in the filter screen for this report with the Multiprovider ZCOPA_M01

Go to the definition of a Master Data Object. In its Attributes tab, there is a column of navigation on/off. There you can either swith on or off the attribute as a navigational attribute. After converting into navigational attribute, you can see the type column is changes to "NAV" from "DIS".

Firefox 6.0 doesn't open pdf-links after clicking on "open pdf". I frequently need to do literature searches and I need to view pdf files in the browser. After clicking on the pdf - link of a file the main options are to open or download the pdf. Every time I try to open a pdf-file a blank page and an error message appears saying the file would not be supported or is damaged. IE, however, opens the file all right. I tried various changes in the security and cookie settings without success. Please advice.

This document is almost certainly a dynamic XFA form. Unfortunately, our mobile Reader does not support displaying or filling such forms. The application that produces this form embeds this message into the document so that non-supportive viewers (like ours) will display this "error" page when the document opens. I do realize that this is confusing and I would like to add some additional detection to our Reader for this case. However, we've avoided doing this for fear of confusing users even further. Your feedback helps though. Hopefully we'll find a way to detect this case and present a better message to the user like: This form is not supported by the mobile version of the Adobe Reader. Please open and fill it on the non-mobile version of the Adobe Reader for Windows, Linux or Mac OSX.

I have obiee11g installed machine and want to connect that machine with essbase.
For that I have installed Essbase Client [11.1.2.1] by downloading the following files,
*1>Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer Fusion Edition Release 11.1.2.0.0 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)*
*2>Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Foundation Services Release 11.1.2.0 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit) Part 1 of 4*
*3>Oracle Essbase Clients Release 11.1.2.0.0 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)*
After that I manually added the ESSBASEPATH and ARBORPATH as Environment Variables (USER).
And also I manually added the essbasepath in bi-init.cmd file.
Finally I tried to connect essbase with BI through BI Admin Tool, I get the following Error
"*Admin tool could not load the essbase driver.Please check the configuration*."
kindly guide me to overcome this issue.

So configure the AD server so that the error message will not appear again. -

I've been having a problem with my ipod shuffle (2nd gen) for the past couple of weeks. Everything is okay until I try to eject the ipod. I click the eject button and the following errors pop up: "There is no disk in the drive--please insert a disk into drive F." and this next error pops up immediately after the disk F error. "The ipod can not be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application."
I've been browsing around on this forum and I came across a person that had the exact same problem I had. That thread is located here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12582148� Take note of the person replying to the person asking about the problem saying it could be a problem with an anti-virus program. The asker said they had McAfee. I also have McAfee. And since the person answering didn't know too much about McAfee and suggested the asker take it up with McAfee, I decided to go straight to the McAfee forum to ask about the problem. I asked my question over there and the person answering said it couldn't be a problem with McAfee. It doesn't interfere with legitimate software. I could always click skip once it reached the ipod if I felt like doing that. Or I could turn off the schedule scan to avoid automatic scanning--I already did that. I prefer manual scans. As for the 5 R's: I have reset the ipod. I've tried putting the dock into another USB port. It's firmly in the dock btw. I updated itunes a couple of days ago to see if that would help the problem and it didn't. I uninstalled itunes last night, restart the machine and reinstalled it and I still got the error. And I haven't tried restore. tbh I really want to avoid that route if at all possible. I've done 4 out of the 5 R's. I'd hate to restore everything and still have the problem come up.
Can somebody please help me? Normally I wouldn't consider this a huge problem but I don't want it leading to a bigger problem in the long run.
And for computer information: My system is 100% clean. I have McAfee and Malwarebytes and I use them regularly and it always comes out clean.
Thank you for any/all replies.I had the same problem and after a few hours, I found the fix. iTunes uses a program called "MobileDeviceService". It appears Mcafee blocks this program by default. To resolve this, got to McAfee Firewall Settings, click "Internet Connections for Programs", and find the program called "MobileDeviceService". Edit the settings to change Access Level from "Block" to "Full". Now you will be able to synch to your iphone/ipad/ipod through iTunes.
