Hp-setup not connecting to server from China

Hello all,
this is a weird problem: when I am in China I sometimes need to install new HP printers; those printers, like LaserJet M1213nf MFB of today, are fully supported by hplip on Debian, but when I try to run hp-setup it cannoct connect to server. The same if I try to download plugin with hp-plugin.
Of course, I have absolutely no problem when running hplip suite application from Europe.
As far as you know, there is some particular issue related to the country (China) where I'm in?

I understand now. The problem you are having is the printer will not install (hp_setup is also the name of printer's network).
How is the printer connected that you want to install the software for (USB, wireless or Ethernet)?
If it is a network connected printer and your computer is also on that network, you may be slowing down your PC installing software for every printer you come into contact with during your travels. I recommend trying to install the HP ePrint Driver which will automatically search for any printer on the same network and it will print to it like it is a driver.
This may or may not be a possibility for you but it works very well if you are currently unable to print due to the problems you are having right now getting the printer's software to install.

No, I have a Mac and my email connects via our pacbell account we've had for years. However, something in the Preferences/Accounts is not correct I am guessing. Also, it asks for the password and if I put it in and click save through general or viewing, it's NOT saving it and still not allowing me to get email. My husband tried reading about this through our AT&T acct and said to change the incoming server to imap.mail.yahoo.com and outgoing smtp.mail.yahoo;[email protected], but now I can't receive or send any email on my Mac. In advanced not sure if it should be Port of 465 or 900 something or other and SSL checked or not. I called AT&T and they want to take over my machine by charging $15/mos for a year to fix this. Ridiculous.
So, everytime prior to yesterday, when my husband messed around with it, I was getting a POP needs password box, typed in my password, but to no avail..Then it Keychain password popped up and assumed it was the same, but there's no way to change or modify it even using the new password my husband set up through AT&T. I am at a complete loss.
I can access mail through yahoo mail and it takes me to AT&T Yahoo Mail, but no contacts are there so needless to say this is a pain.
I appreciate any assistance you can give me so I can get back on my email as I have for 4 years.

I downloaded Lion OSX and at the end I received a notice that Safari can not connect to Server. All internet connections work including Safari on other user on same computer. I downloaded 13items and installed only 12. What do I do now ?

Safari does not work on user where installation was made. It work on other user. All internet connections work including google. If I go into Safari the blue line goes up to end of "http" on adress and freezes. Where do I go from here.:::???

Connection test to database failed: could not connect to server

I restarted one of my HPOV NNMi 9.23 servers this morning and NNMi is no longer loading. I am seeing the following errors in the logs indicated:
/var/opt/OV/log/nnm/public/nmsdbmgr.log

Is the server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting
TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

I checked /etc/hosts and found the following entry:
#; Local
127.0.0.1 localhost
From the command line I can ping localhost with no issue. Not sure why NNMi is not starting at this point.

I also attempted to do a reset using nnmresetebdb.ovpl. I recieved the following:

Starting nmsdbmgr process for database reset...
nmsdbmgr process did not restart successfully - please try reset again.
When I run ovstart -c I receive the following:

TS2621 pop 3 not connecting to server

my emails have stopped the msge i am getting is pop3 can not connect to server pls help

I have the same problem since I got the itouch. It connects at home with my airport no problem. I am currently on my mac Book and it picks up a signal and allows me to surf from a network at a gym but the itouch doesn't despite a strong signal. i get Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server.
After a week of reading most if not all of the related problems, no one has come up with a solution.
HELP! I am becoming very frustrared with this only working at home.

SSRS Database Configuration Manager Error - Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception

I'm Getting the "Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception" Error on an existing Instance of SSRS that had been working previously (lots of installs/patches since).
Any time I try to hit the "Test Connection" button on existing connections or create new ones from the SSRS Config Mgr., it throws that error.
I know the SQL Server connectivity works (I have SSMS installed on there and can cut and paste server Login to connect). The problem is I can't really get any more details on the error...Event Viewer isn't logging anything, I have upped the trace level
to 4 in the reportingservicesservice.config file, I have even watched it with procmon and nothing obvious pops up.
Let me know if anyone else has been down this path and what they have tried.

Based on my research, the issue may be related to user access permission. You can refer to the following method to troubleshooting the issue:
Open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG folder | right click on the machine.config file | Properties | Security | make sure your domain account has FULL CONTROL permission on this file.
If above steps still do not work, please backup your machine.config file to somewhere else and replace with the attached one from my Windows Server 2008 environment.
Alternatively, app.config file also may cause the same issue. There is a similar issue, you can refer to it.

I've just installed for the third time BOE Premium Server XIR3
Config:
Windows Server 2008
BOXIR3
CMS on MySQL
Tomcat 5.5
I've installed from scratch my server and I could not connect to any application
CCM : the SIA is up and Running, but I could not manage server to see what is launch on the server
> Error : Unable to log on : Could not connect to server SERVER_NAME:6400. Please check that the server name is correct, and that the server is running
Tomcat Configuration: Can't connect to that services too
-->Error : Unable to open the service BOE120Tomcat
CMS / Infoview : Unable to connect too.
--->Error : The server SERVER_NAME:6400 is not found (FWM 01003) null
(Here I translated the error message because I've got the message in french...)
Concerning the MySQL database, it's seems to be correctly installed as I can access the database via MySQL Admin tool.
I've seen lots of similar issue but I never found any resolution or workaround.
So If you have any ideas to help me it would be great as I must make a demo on customer site on monday morning :o(((

Client Not connected with Server

I upgraded my Patch level from 9.0 PL8 to PL9. Server and Clients are installed and it is working fine but one PC not connected with Server. While I Connect SAP in landscape server selection Page Port Number shown as 40000 instead of 30000. I changed Port No from 40000 to 30000 the error Message came as [message 60070-99999987}. I attached the Screen shot in this discussion.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

I have same problem and this is the solution
Go to the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\Conf
Copy the file b1-current-user.xml and put it aside
Go to the directory %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP\SAP Business One
Check the file b1-current-user.xml which is likely empty or wrong strings
Rename the b1-current-user.xml file for backup
Move the copied file into the directory.
License server name asked every time on login

Network error could not connect to server 127.0.0.1:5900

I have created a virtual machine in VM manager from a template and when I try to view the console I get the error "network error could not connect to server 127.0.0.1:5900"
The way that I have everything set up is this.... I am using Oracle VirtualBox installed on Windows 7 and I have created a virtual machine in VirtualBox with Oracle Virtual Server installed and I have Oracle VM Manager installed on that same virtual machine. After reading some forums I found out that I needed to install TightVNC to be able to use the console from Windows IE. So, I have installed TightVNC on my OVS but I can not even tell if it is running. I have also made sure that in iptables that port 5900 is open. I have confirmed this by using nmap to scan my ports and port 5900 is open for vnc when my virtual machine in vm manager is running. I just can not figure out why I am getting the network error unless TighVNC is not running on my OVS. Does anyone have any ideas for why this might be happeneing. Thanks

it seemed when you registered the OVM server to the OVM manager, it did not deliver the correct hostname, but the local address instead.
See if your /etc/hosts contains the hostname in the 127.0.0.1 line.
Correct the /etc/hosts, remove the OVS server and reregister with OVM manager.

That should be the router not giving confirmation about the password. Try unplugging everything from the roauter and then replugging it. I also get this problem with hotspots by Alwyas On. Extremely annoying.

Ipad 2 can not connect to server after 2 day internet outage

Situation:
Internet access was down 2 days and was just restored
Restarted router
iPad 2 connected to appropriate wifi network, but got error message "could not connect to server" when using Safari. Also, could not access any other internet related service like web email.
Other devices --- iPad air, Mac, PC laptop and 2 iPhone 4s ---- were able to connect and access internet successfully.
Actions Taken:
Powered off iPad 2 and then restarted it. No luck.
On iPad 2, turned off wifi setting and then turned it back on. It connected to appropriate network, but still could not connect to server.
Reset router again --- no luck.
Question:
Any suggestions?

Try the following:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
3. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo
