HP Simplepass no longer functioning properly.

I recently had to refresh my computer, once that was completed My simplepass was no longer functioning and have been unable to use the biometric scan.
When I go to control panel and look it up, this is what is displayed.

Unfortunately the steps that are listed here have not helped me at all. I have tried all that has been posted.
When I open SimplePass these are the screens that I am able to see.
It am not able to get to the screen where I am able to register finger prints for log in.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Each time it stated I would lose all previous data and fingerprints that were saved.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I still haven't been able to get the program or the reader to work properly.
I have tried all other solutions posted on related Simplepass Threads, None have worked for me.
Some Help Is Greatly Appreciated!!!

My C7280 no longer turns on properly. It only displays a message - B83FCB56 - on the message screen and the light below the camera icon in the lower right corner flashes rapidly. No combination of key pressing bring forth any response. Holding down the power=on button does not turn the machine off.
Is there anything can do to get the scanner/printer working?
before this behavior the machine would, on occasion, go into a mode where all the lights on the displays would flash simultaniously. Pushing the power button would cure this, but often the printer would only print a partial page before failing in the fleahing-light mode

Why do music videos no longer show up properly?

After updating to OS5 I notice that music videos no longer show up properly.
I have most of mine in playlists, and it show the songs, but only plays the music, not the video?
When I view them in 'Videos' I have no option to sort or show them in a different way!
Considering the iPad is probably more slanted toward movie content, the lack of features for music videos is very disapointing

I think this has always been a lacking feature in the iPad videos app but now it is even worse as you can't go into the music app, context navigate to the video you want and play the music video. It was irritating in the past as it took you back to the lack luster videos app with no sorting or context other than the video tile navigation, now it is TOTALLY un functional.
APPLE DEVOLPMENT please use the video app with 200+ music videos and see how you like it! Or does anyone know of a replacement or more advanced app that will allow a better browse and play interface. Apple's is so basic that it is 'still' just painful!
Music video playlist and shuffle on the iPad would also be nice but sort would be awesome!

The new music interface isn't any better in my opinion either, play buttons at the top so your hand has to be over the top of the screen, store button at the bottom left vs top right as it would be more intuitive like other app purchase button positioning.

Websites no longer show up properly using osx 10.6.8 ffox 36.0.1

i am pretty sure it's the fact I am still using OSX 10.6.8 but some websites no longer show up properly the way they show up on OSX 10.10
even in safari websites no longer show up the way it does on the new OS. I have also downloaded the latest flash player. I like using snow leopard to me it is the best version of osx in many instances and would like to continue using it. It looks like the html or flash code cannot be deciphered.

Missing icons are usually supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) as you might see by little boxes that show the hex code of the characters instead.
In your case you have a font installed in Windows that covers this range.
You need to make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts to make Firefox use fonts that are downloded.

You can check the <b>gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure that it is set to true (if necessary double-click the line to toggle its value).

G5 no longer recognizes monitor properly

This post is about a Gateway monitor, not an Apple monitor, but the Gateway folks said the issue is with the computer. So I apologize if I'm in the wrong place, but I need some help and I couldn't find an appropriate forum.
I have a Gateway FPD1975W monitor. It's a widescreen monitor that doubles as an HDTV. It is my secondary monitor (my primary monitor is a 23" Cinema Display) and it is connected via VGA to my G5's DVI port with an Apple adapter.
I'll make a long story short. From the moment I plugged the new Gateway monitor in, my G5 recognized it and gave me the proper resolution options. But ever since I used the monitor as an HDTV, then plugged it back into my Mac, the computer sees it as "VGA Display," not as the "FPD1975W" like it should.
The result is that my secondary monitor is now kind of useless because I can't use the Gateway's native resolution.
How can I get my G5 to recognize the monitor properly again? Is there a preference file? A driver? I really need the computer to properly recognize this monitor.

You could try trashing the preference file(s) associated with displays. Use the Finder's Find command and search on the term "windowserver". You should find at least one file called com.apple.windowserver.plist and you may also find one or more files called com.apple.windowserver.xxxxxxxxxx.plist where xxxxxx is a string of characters and numbers. Throw all such found files into the trash and restart. When the computer restarts and OS X finds the files missing, they will be automatically regenerated. This should give you a fresh start with your Gateway.
Be aware that if you have any special settings or color calibrations, they will have to be redone since everything will revert to factory default, original settings. This includes for your 23" Cinema Display.

Mac Pro keeps freezing & no longer Shuts Down properly

Hya.
Im using a Mac Pro in work (Mac Os 10.5.8. with 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon) . One day while doing a "Save as" in a program, the program froze/became unresponsive. In the Force Quit tab, it says "not responding", so i click force quit on it. It closes the window ive been working on and i get the message that the program has closed, BUT in the Force Quit tab, it still shows it listed and "not responding" next to it. It is also showing as running in the dock still. So obviously i cant restart this program, because its unresponsive. I have to shut down the computer, it shuts down everything else, but gets stuck trying to close down this frozen application, so it doesnt shut down the computer and i have to just switch the computer off.
I thought maybe it was just one program, but its litterally any program, could be safari if i say...click a box in facebook, or sendspace where it asks to search my computer for a file, if i ask it to do this, then the program freezes. It seems to mostly happen when i ask the computer to search for something i guess. "Save As" in most programs. Or if i click to import an image into a program, then bam, freeze.
Sometimes even "Finder" freezes and i have to just switch the computer off.
I generally get about 20-25mins without it happening, that is if im not heavily "saving as" or importing things, or asking the computer to do anything "tough".
Also, if one program freezes, and i ignore it and keep using another program, within a few minutes the next program im using freezes.
Some of the things ive tried are killing the running program in the Terminal application, and trying to quit the process in the Activity Monitor application. Neither work in closing the frozen program.
Ive used Disk Utility to see if there are any problems with the disk and there are none. We also bought DiskTools Pro and it also sees no problem with the hardware.
Originally i had something like 40gb on my desktop, i thought this might be slowing things down, but ive cleared it to nothing on the desktop and the problem continues.
I know I could reinstall the operating system, but i just dont like the idea of having to put everything back in its proper place again, and files "linking" up to their original place.
Not sure if this ties in with the problem, but we have an external hardrive plugged in which used to automatically sync up with time machine. This no longer works, and havnt been able to Back Up since the problem started.
Anyone have any idea what could be the problem before we have to send it off to get repaired?

6300, no longer connecting..properly. (through usb...

My phone used to connect fine and i transferred music to the supplied memory card just fine.
Then i bought a new 2gig micro sd card and suddenly it isn't anymore. (the phone sees the memory card and i can move stuff from phone to memory card (pics etc), i have also formatted the memory card)
I tried using the old memory card in the phone in case it was something wierd with the new one, but the phone just isn't being recognised.
When installing/uninstalling nokia pc suit it displays a massage saying there is a phone connected through cable and needs to be unplugged to continue(which i do)...so it knows it's there.
I've also uninstalled pc suit + drivers, then run a registry cleaner program - reinstalled everything and it hasn't worked.
This is really annoying, it was working fine..and now for no apparent reason it just isn't.
I'm using latest nokia pc suit (6.85), latest phone firmware, windows xp sp2.
Sorry it's such a long post, just trying to be thorough in giving relavent information.

Open windows device manager, what drivers there comes when you connect your phone?
And is there any question mark or unknown device?
Try also connect your phone without memory card.

HP DV6 FAN REPLACEMENT AND LAPTOP REASSEMBLY - KEYBOARD NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY

I called HP Store staff and was able to identify the correct model fan to replace the one in my DV6. I got it and just did the replacement. To those unitiated, its a chore, but it can be done. Give yourself a few hours and peace and quiet. As I discovered, the tricky part is putting everything back. I must have gotten 2 things wrong.
One, the machine thankfully boots to the Windows Start page, and my mouse works fine, the keyboard is now a problem. The keys don't match the screen and I am effectively locked out at the password screen. The key for ENTER is 4. So, what do I do? Re install the cable from the keyboard to the motherboard? Please advise your best suggestions.
Two, when I put in the power cord, the little light to the side of the power adaptor input does not go on. I suspect that the power cord assembly is adversely affected from the reassembly. Any tips?

Lightroom 4.3 will no longer export images properly

Lightroom 4.3 no longer exports photos correctly.
Error Message is :- Unable to Export :- an internal error has occurred; WIN32 API error 2 (the system cannot find the file specified) when calling ShellexecuteExW fromAgWorkspace.shellexecute.
Photos are exported, but without the EXIF data??
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom. I have also tried Restoring Win 7 to an earlier build, but with no success. This level of faultfinding is beyond my knowledge I'm afraid.
Please can anyone help.

My Firefox 8 for Mac no longer will launch properly. It opens, and immediately hangs before loading the home page and connecting to any website. Does anyone have any ideas about how to correct this? Thanks!

All I get is a blank home page, along with a spinning beach ball. I cannot open the preferences to try to clear the cache, and must force quit to get out of Firefox. I have tried clearing the cache from the Library, and trashed the preferences file. I uninstalled the application, and reinstalled a newly downloaded application. I have restarted the computer many times, and run the disk utility to repair permissions. Nothing has worked. I have not added or upgraded anything on my computer since Firefox was working just a few days ago. Safari works fine connecting to the web. I have read through most of the support documents at Firefox Help, but cannot find anything that addresses this specific problem of hanging immediately after launch.

I have the exact same problem--and it just started around November 11, 2011. I have rebooted, reinstalled, and relaunched many times and Firefox just hangs on launch. Spinning beach ball of death and all that.
I have not installed any new software or changed anything on my computer.
Using Mac OS X 10.6.8, Aluminum Mac with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM.

My ipod no longer shows up properly?

My ipod used to appear as Luke's Ipod, now not only does it not show up at all in itunes, it appears only as Apple Ipod anywhere else. I've reset my ipod and itunes, re-installed itunes, restarted the mobile device serivce, emptied the Temp folder, tried different cables and tried a different computer. I haven't found anything that helped so far. Any ways to fix this?

Cpu not functioning properly

My hp pavilion dv7 has power as the lights come on it trys to boot up but cannot. The ligts blink once then pause and repeat, What can I do? I have tried to reseat the memory, which got stopped the 2 beeps.

Either, my audio drives are messed up or my beats processor isn't functioning properly.

I recently was aided in the wiping of my Pavilion dv6 by hp, and now after I play music throught either itunes, windows media player, and youtube, I get this extremely flat audio that dips in and out all the time. It's not nearly as loud as it could get before. And throughout slow parts of songs where there isn't much output, it's replaced with a lot of static. I've tried several headphones, external speakers, and the internal speakers. I played around with the Beats control panel, the iTunes playback settings, and the computer's sound and volume control.
The listed items in my sound playback are all listed with having
IDT High Definition Audio CODEC installed.
My sound scheme is turned off and Speakers and Headphones are set as my default device.
In my Beats Audio settings, 'listening experience', I have the 'Beats Audio' box checked, so that's on. It's at a passive setting and I haven't messed with the equalizer of "Bass, Treble, center, space", so they are around 50.
I don't know what else to do! I've reinstalled itunes a few times. Is there something I should be doing or I should fix?
The audio drivers are saying they're up to date, as well.

Let's try something easy,first.
Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'. Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button. Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'. Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.
If this doesn't work, I would like for you to use Recovery Manager to restore your software and drivers.
Please let me know your results.

Script no longer working with OS 10.5

Since I have upgraded to 10.5 a few weeks ago the following script no longer is working properly. I had been using this script extensively over the last two without any problems. Now it seems to hang up when it gets to the
"duplicate item i of photoList to "P&M2:CPA JPEG Archive Files:" with replacing"
Sometimes it eventually copies the file but usually it times out because it takes so long. Have the commands or the way you refer to a server volume changed from 10.4 to 10.5. P&M2 is a server volume. As I said before this script worked fine with 10.4--it only took a matter of seconds to copy a file to my server. I realize that the problem could lie with my server connection but I don't think so.
Any suggestions??? The script is attached below.
