HP Slate 6 Update failed. Not started. Urgent please.

Dear sir/madam, I received a new system update today. my device does not open after you install it.
just in the recovery menu opens with a constant dead android icon. please

Hey , Welcome to the HP forums. Most tablets had their recovery images removed for maintenance. Not all tablets have had their update.zip files restored to the driver download page yet. Please be patient and it should be available soon. , The recovery images are available for your tablet here: HP Slate 7 6102ra VoiceTab - Recovery downloads. You can see how to run a recovery below. Please try the following. 1. Download the update.zip for your device and copy the file to the root directory of an empty micro-SD card (at least 1 GB, FAT 32 format). Do not unzip this file. You can find the update.zip for your device in the link above. NOTE: You will need the exact model number to locate the correct package. There are multiple update.zip recovery images available. Ensure you select the correct download for your region. If your tablet does not boot after attempting to update you may need to try both the KitKat and JellyBean images.
2. Fully charge the tablet and then disconnect the power from the device.
3. Power off the device.
If your tablets micro-SD slot is on the side or bottom of your tablet skip to step 5. 4a. Place the tablet on a flat surface, display panel side down, with the release notch towards you.
NOTE: Before positioning the tablet with the display panel facing down, make sure the work surface is clear of any foreign objects. Failure to follow this caution can result in damage to the display panel assembly.
4b. Remove the back cover. Use the release notch to remove the back cover.
4c. Insert the micro-SD memory card into the reader slot.
4d. Reverse the procedure detailed above to install the back cover and continue to step 6. 5. Insert the micro-SD card into the micro-SD card reader.
6. Press and hold the volume up button and power button at the same time.
7. When the HP logo appears on the screen, release all the buttons.
8. When the Android system recovery menu appears, use the volume down button to highlight "apply update from external storage".
9. Press the power button to validate "apply update from external storage".
10. Use the volume down button to highlight the software recovery file, update.zip.
11. Press the power button to select the update.zip file and launch the recovery.
NOTE: Wait until the entire recovery process finishes. The device might seem unresponsive at times (multiple reboots and black screens) when it is performing the update. If this does not resolve the issue please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. Which account you have used to logon this machine?
This error code is mostly related with the service permission, which indicates that the permission is not configured correctly.
Try to boot into safe mode and check this issue again, make sure there is no 3rd-party software involved.
Next thing is to create another admin account( or enable the built-in admin account to create a new admin account, as this one have permisssion issues), then check this issue again.
Further, run the DISm command to make sure there is no component issue:
DISM /Online
/Cleanup-Image
/RestoreHealth
/source:WIM:X:\sources\Install.wim:1
/LimitAccess
Where the X: is the drive for the install media, or the mounted ISO.

Pages 09 (updated) will not start up using Lion OSX

iWork Pages 09 (updated) will not start up using Lion OSX. It did work at one time but now it won't. I reinstalled iWork several times with updates but the applications say to reinstall or check the developer. I'm using an i-Mac Intel with updated downloads for all applications. Thank You in Advance for your thoughts to solving this concern.

What else have you been doing just before this problem started? Any other updates on the computer? If you need to reinstall iWork which some has when upgrading to Lion after a complete uninstall.

Expand the archive and run the script.
Now you can instal iwork again and do the updates.

"System Update could not start properly" - New error just started (WinXP SP3)

I can no longer run System Update; it displays the splash screen, then a small window pops up with the above error message. I just ran it last a day or two ago, and it installed a few things; since then I have also run Microsoft Update and it also installed a few things, which I backed out one at a time (except for the malicious software removal updates)--all to no avail. Anyone else seen this, any suggestions?

I have reinstalled the system update after I did clean and download the last version from Lenovo website but still have the same pop up message says: Syystem Update could not start properly.

Have recently been getting this error: System Update could not start properly
It worked fine (even getting itself updated) for over a year that I've had the machine (a T-61, 14.1", 4G ram, 200G hd, nvidea, running XP Professional, SP3)
Any thoughts?

Hi, deinstall the old TVSU This is a newer version, then the installed one..it works for me..

I attempted to update my BIOS, but the power went out in the middle of it. I cleared CMOS, and when I tried to use the EIVB.bin file to boot up a bios, It only says A2 in the corner. Without a flash drive in it says BIOS update is not yet completed, please insert the USB pen drive and reset the system. Any ideas on what to do?

Move USB key to another USB port and retest, use backside one.
If no change have a try with another different USB key,
and copy the EIVB.bin file to the newest USB key and retry.

Try to reset sync history.
If you have a Windows machine, press the ALT key to bring up file, edit, view, etc. Click edit and go to preferences. Click the tab titled "devices" and then at the bottom it will say "reset sync history."
If you have a Mac it's a bit more complicated. You can find the instructions here:

If this is your first time syncing then try a different USB port.
Make sure there are no third party software conflicting your connection. (Anti-virus software, etc)
Make sure your lightning USB cable is in working condition.
Restart your computer.

Detla Update Error, Last update is not repeatable. Please Help!

I would greatly appreciate any help with this problem.
We have a daily delta update going in from R/3 to SEM Production (bw 3.1 bc 3.3). for business consolidation purposes.
R/3 --- 0FIGL_O07 (ODS) --- ZBW_BCS (Custom Cube).
The delta request failed and became red. Subsequently the following day the same thing happened. There are no error dumps.
The thing that gets me is normally our delta updates have about 200,000 records per update, the 2 that failed have 17 million each!
When I do to the first failed request and check the details section Under Transfer (IDOCS and TRFC) it says data package xxx sent but not arrived.
What is confusing is there is nothing to warrant a jump in no. or recs from 200k to 17mil.
When I try to do an immediate request of detla it says cannot do it as last delta update still running.
Please advise

Thanks for your advise.
This is exact steps I followed.
1.) There were 2 red requests in the ODS with the error message (given above).
2.) I tried to force the first one green which started a batch job that got cancelled.
3.) I informed Basis as per Dinesh's advice and extended tablespace.
4.) I re-activated the request.
Currently there is another batch job running at the moment.
What I would like to know is, is it unusual for a delta update to contain 600,000 records today and say the update does not run for over a month and then contain 17 mil records ?
I will come back on the completion of the job once done.

10.4.1 update does not start.

Hi, everybody.
I've just checked for some possible updates on my iTunes (running on Windows).
But if I click the proper buttons to start the download (as I'm always used to), the pop-up just minimizes and appears once again after a few seconds; so I am supposed to click once again the same button, but the process does not start and the pop-up appears again.
Is there anyone who might help me please?

I have had problems with MS Word after two other OS updates (including 10.4.6). This may not work for you; however, it did for me (and it was what MS advised me for my font corruption indication problem): Re-boot holding the shift key down (to perform a Safe Boot). Hold it down until the red "Safe Boot" nomenclature is seen on the log in screen. Starting up in a Safe Boot clears the font cache automatically. Then, just re-boot normally. This might work. If not, no gain, no loss. Hope it helps you.

Oracle 10G R2 AS: Not starting up; please help

i got a server with oracle 10g app server installed on it. i opened the console at http://localhost:1811/emd/console and created a new OC4J instance but did not deploy the EAR file. When i tried to open the console the next day the page did not open. actually the server did not start at the startup. i tried to start the server from the Services but it did not start. please help me to rectify the problem.

If your application server is in windows,then open command promt. and then type cd $ORACLE_HOME\bin
and then emctl.bat start iasconsole
If your application server is in unix/linux,then open console. and then type cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
and then emctl start iasconsole
It will start your OEM. then through ur OEM u can monitor ur server configuration.

Update will not start automatically

it will not start the update. It says update will start up automatically. It does not... I have shut down my firewall, it starts up a searchporthole ? NKVD ? and Advertising.... I have tried many times with or with out firewall... I have updated to date all XP software.
What is wrong ?

Update failed error, can someone please help?

I've been trying since last night to update from 1.1 to 2.0 and can't seem to get it to work. I select update from Apple TV settings and it downloads the update. Once completed, I select Update now and begins the process and starts to fill-in the progress bar, then shortly it states that the Update failed and asks to press the menu button. I do so and I am greeted by 3 choices: Diagnostics (which I've run about 3 times now and everything comes back okay); Restart (which I've done as well and only reboots the device); Factory Restore (which I did 2 times and only restores the device back to factory defaults).
I can't get the update to work at all. Aside from that, the device works perfectly fine, without any issues. My DSL line is 6mbps and works very well. The Apple TV is connected via Wifi (802.11n) and that's fast too, so I really don't know how to resolve it, short of bringing it to a local Apple store for a replacement.
If anyone can help me out and at least point me in the right direction, I'd gladly appreciate it.

But...Since the Apple TV was only about 11 days old, I contacted Apple's 800 support line and explained the issue I was having. They said that they hadn't really heard of anyone having that problem and asked me to do the usual troubleshooting steps (diagnostics, restart and factory default). Since that didn't solve the problem they told me I could either get an exchange through Apple via mail or I could take it to a local Apple store with the receipt and they would exchange it for a new model.
I opted for the latter. I was curious about resolving the issue and seeing what was being affected, but truthfully, I was more interested in getting my Apple TV updated and working to full capacity.
So that's it. I took it in today and got an exchange immediately. The new device updated like a charm and plays beautifully.

Smartwatch 2 not working (update does not start, SW is stuck)

Hello. I just bought SW2. I turned on NFC on my phone and placed SW2 on the back of my phone. Phone and SW2 made connection. SmartConnect was installed on my phone BUT then it wants me to install SW2 app (release date 13.12.2013). OK it installs the SW2 app and then progress bar appears on my SW2 and thats it. No progress at all. Phone just saying "downloading updates to SW2" but never starts. I waited two hours but nothing happend.
I try to describe averything I have tried in detail, hoping so that someone can help me.
I tried to use Sony Mobile Update service. I connected SW2 to my PC and Sony Mobile update service said that there is update available. So I do the update, SW2 restarts BUT then all starts over again. SW2 app is still trying to download updates but nothing happens. I tried to uninstall everything and reinstalling SmartConnect and SW2 app but that did not help.
Then I used someone elses phone. I connected SW2 with other phone than mine, pairing worked, SW2 app managed to install the updates (this is where i got stuck with my phone) on SW2 and everything worked. Then I did reset on the SW2 and paired with my phone again. Pairing seems to work. Phone says that SW2 is connected BUT nothing really works. No notifications, facebook app does not show anything. Smart Music Player does not work, Smart Camera does not work. When I click on any app that needs to interact with my phone, a "waiting bar" appears for a few seconds and then nothing, silence. Whe I turn off the bluetooth on my phone, the SW2 app says that SW is disconnected and then I trun on the bluetooth, then it connects again. SW2 and phone seems to be connected but it seems that no information is moving between them. And then there is the battery drain. When SW2 and phone are "connected", the battery on my phone lasts about 3 hours max.
So I tried the Sony Mobile Update service again. Suprisingly. update was available, even tough I did the update befoe AND with my friends phone. So i do the update again and now I am back where I started - my SW2 and phone are "connected" and SW2 app wants to install updates to SW2 but the downloading process does not start and I can not use SW2 without it. So I need my friends phone again just so that I can use SW2 as a regular watch.

I'm installing AS JAVA + PORTAL CORE of NW04s. I'm on phase 41 of 51 "Start Java engine". I'm getting an error "Java: Dispather: Running, server0: UNKNOWN, did not start after 3:30 minutes. Giving up.

Please help. How can I make it running?

Presario CQ61-104SV after bios update computer not start

Hello,
I made an update on BIOS inside windows. When the update start the fan start working very noisy. The update ended succesfully and shutdown the computer. The computer was connected to AC power without battery. After the shutdown the computer can not start. When I connect it to power, the power led turn on for 4 seconds and then turn off. I tried the keys combination (windows keys + B + power button) but nothing happen. The computer seems to be dead. Can anyone help me?

yeah, seems like the same symptoms.
my version was 3.6 from october 2004. Version 3.5 from september works fine except for the cpu temperature beeing displayed too high in bios...
rollback to 2.5 did not work, still the same though i did not do the thing with the cmos-reset via jumper. will try this today...
