HP Slate 7 Voice tab showing Android icon after I tried updating JellyBeans to KitKat

Hi,I got an Android update information on my HP Slate 7 voice tab for updating the JellyBeans to KitKat version. Once I followed the instruction the tab got hangd and shows the Android icon.I tried all online instructions to reboot but to no avail like pressing both the buttons at a time: volume up & down plus the power off buttons and release them once hp icon comes up.It did not work. You can download a recovery image for your tablet here:Google Android KitKat Restore Image for Slate 7 VoiceTab - IndiaGoogle Android KitKat Restore Image for Slate 7 VoiceTab -South East AsiaUse the following steps to recover: 1. Download the update.zip for your device and copy the file to the root directory of an empty micro-SD card (at least 1 GB, FAT 32 format). Do not unzip the file.
2. Fully charge the tablet and then disconnect the power from the device.
3. Power off the device.
If your tablets micro-SD slot is on the side or bottom of your tablet skip to step 5. 4a. Place the tablet on a flat surface, display panel side down, with the release notch towards you.
NOTE: Before positioning the tablet with the display panel facing down, make sure the work surface is clear of any foreign objects. Failure to follow this caution can result in damage to the display panel assembly.
4b. Remove the back cover. Use the release notch to remove the back cover.
4c. Insert the micro-SD memory card into the reader slot.
4d. Reverse the procedure detailed above to install the back cover and continue to step 6. 5. Insert the micro-SD card into the micro-SD card reader.
6. Press and hold the volume up button and power button at the same time.
7. When the HP logo appears on the screen, release all the buttons.
8. When the Android system recovery menu appears, use the volume down button to highlight "apply update from external storage".
9. Press the power button to validate "apply update from external storage".
10. Use the volume down button to highlight the software recovery file, update.zip.
11. Press the power button to select the update.zip file and launch the recovery.
NOTE: Wait until the entire recovery process finishes. The device might seem unresponsive at times (multiple reboots and black screens) when it is performing the update. If this does not resolve the issue please call our technical support: Phone Assist Worldwide. Thanks.

Hi，
So switch a LAN card fix this issue...seems a compatibility issue or maybe some packs or programs you installed recently cause this issue.
Have you manually check the network adapter driver from the PC's manufacture website? sometimes, it will be a time delay before Microsoft push out the driver update.
Check if issue exists in safemode with network, this mode will launch Windows with limited sets of files and drivers.
if you have a restore point, restore the pc to a previous point at which the pc is functioning fine.

Label look like ,

It's diabled * icon entire application .This solution is ok ...But I want to diable * icon for only particular places.
How to hide * icon for particular fields ? ......

Mail not showing attachments icon after 10.5.3

Another trouble for Mail and attachements : in the list pane, although I have set the column to see if there are attached files (paperclip icon), since 10.5.3, these attachments don't show up in every case.
Quite strange, a message with 5 attached picts didn't show any icon, but another message from the same user with 23 attached picts did show the paperclip icon.
Anyone reporting the same trouble ?

I have a similar issue - but with a twist. My list of emails shows that a received email has an attachment (the paperclip icon in the attachments column) but there is no attachment. There is no save option or Quick Look option under the header. Why would the list indicate an attachment exists where none exists?

I would love to say that a refresh worked for me however it did not.It takes about 30 Minutes total I was able to trace part of the issue to a Registry Key that was tagging the processor. Because my BIOS manages its own temp gauge and windows is trying to
build on in I had to turn the BIOS one off as well as for some reason I get better funtionality with Visualization off.
I am still dealing with a lag but I was able to get ride of the freeze that made the computer completely useless.

IPhone won't power on or show battery icon after discharge.

My iPhone4 ran out of battery. I plugged as soon as I could after it ran out (within 15 mins) and charged it overnight. It won't power on this morning and does not show the charged battery icon on the screen. The phone is only 4.5 months old and has never been left in a car or extreme heat. I always let the bettery run down to <10% before charging and then charge back to full capacity. I have tried holding down the home key and the sleep/wake buttons individually and together and nothing. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help. I had tried to connect it to the computer on my own and found out that my version of iTunes must be too old to talk to my iPhone4. I am still running 10.4.11 on my PowerBook G4 which uses an older version of iTunes. I don't use the music feature on my phone to conserve my battery for Apps and other features I really like and leave the music to my Shuffle. Guess I am really lucky it doesn't work as I would hate to loose my photos of my new grandson. I need to find a quick way to send them to backup storage.
When I disconnected after trying the computer and tried your suggestion of holding it until I saw the symbol, it finally worked. Guess I did not hold them both together for long enough. The battery only shows 31% even though it was on wall charger all night. I will use it as is today and charge it overnight again to see if it gets a full charge.

HELP HELP!!! iTunes wont sync my TV Shows and Movies after 2.0 update.

Last week I went away on holiday on the 11th. That meant I never managed to get the iPod Touch Update until Ihad arrived and found an Internet Connection. When I started to do the update I had a problem because the restore of all of my content that should be done after the update failed. I worked round that by setting it up as a new Ipod and re-importing my itunes library. Now when I go to try and sync my iPod Touch it syncs everything but my Movies and TV Shows. It comes up with the following:
Attempting to copy to disk "iPod Touch" failed. An unknown error occured (-69).
I searched for this on Google and no luck. I try over and over again and comes up with the same problem.
Can anyone help me?????

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First you should try logging out of your iTunes Store account (settings > iTunes Store > accounts) and then back in again.
If that doesn't help, try resetting the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings). You should also try restarting your router.
If both of the above don't help, you should try a restore (Settings > General > Reset > Restore).

I used to be able to have different windows and tabs open in Firefox & if I quit Firefox, I was first asked "Save & quit?" so that all of my windows & their respective tabs opened again. After this last update it doesn't do that anymore. Why?

Sometimes I have tabs open that I only need for a short time and I don't want to bookmark them. I want my windows & tabs restored as the were and I can't get this by simply restoring session after I've had to close Firefox for an update of something else on my computer.

TS1538 iphone isnt showing on itunes after the new update!

my main problem is that my phone isnt showing up anywhere on my lapetop or itunes since the udate of itunes!
and i tired doing re-installing the Apple Mobile Device USB Drive but i have Windows 8 and the directions are not listed for that software.

i have the same problem. although my mac didnt ask for restart, installation stopped half way through the updating, and it comes up with unknown error 1 , once ive managed to exit recovery mode( the usb and itunes logo) apple logo appears, and then its loading and THEN ITS TURNING ITSELF OFF and ON - > after that apple apears - loading... and yeah goes in circles.
I've tried to restore previous copy but itunes wont let me do it anymore, it comes up with an error.
I've edited hosts, and it's still not working.
... any ideas anyone?

Not showing in itunes after 5.0 update

I have just installed 5.0 on both my iphone and ipad and neither shows up in iTunes BUT both show up in iPhoto! I'm running itunes 10 and have reset both devices. And like others have noted, the battery life on the ipad is now rubbish, I can virtually watch it drain out.

same with me. After I updated my iPad 2 3G to 5.0, my device not showing up in my iTunes. PLEASE guys. HELP!

Apple TV 3 looses Netflix icon after recent firmware update

I switched on my Apple TV3 last night and was prompted to upgrade to the latest firmware. I accepted. BIG MISTAKE!
After the successful upgrade, I now see only 3 rows of icons and my Netflix and Hulu icons are missing! I'm based out in Singapore but I have a VPN connection to US to allow me to watch Netflix and Hulu.
Any idea how to get this back?
I've tried resetting it and it is not working.

I had the same thing happen,
I have 2 apple id's - one for Australia and one for canada.
After the update the 'location' had changed itself from canada to australia - where netflix is not available, and the netflix icon dissapeared.
to check the location settings go to:
settings >itunes store >Location
change to a country where netflix is accessable - Hopefully your own country!

Recently i have connected to High Speed internet and Hp Asistant shown a Bios update for my System and i chose download. after that my Hp Pvillion G6 2005ax with AMD Quad Core is showing blank Screen and Caps Lock button Blinks Randomly and F12 Button also on. Kindly Suggest a Solution for this. I have been irritated by Hp Customer Care support.

I read your post about the BIOS, and wanted to assist you! The blank screen and blinking of your Caps Lock, is the system trying to give you the error code for the issue your notebook is having. You can review the following document for further assistance, if needed:HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start and Emits an LED or Beep Code Please note the blinking sequence of your Caps Lock, and follow the instructions in the document above. From the information that you provided, it is possible that the blink code will be related to a BIOS error. You can always try performing a System Restore, to set the notebook back to a previous working point. You can also try checking this site for BIOS drivers. Once there, you can select your Operating System and click "Update", you should be able to access and download the BIOS drivers. If you downloaded the latest driver from that site, try uninstalling the driver and installing the previous version. My playbook wont show any wifi after a system update

I did a system update, afterward it didn't connect to any wifi network. I did a reset but still saying connect to wi-fi select a network and no network shows up. any suggestion?

if you want to reset to factory then follow this.
First I would like you to do a Back Up of your PlayBook using your computer and BlackBerry Desktop Software.
This can be downloaded for free from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
After the Back Up is complete I need you to unplug your PlayBook and then push and hold down the Power Button until the unit Force Powers Off.
Now, while Desktop Software is still open on your computer and the PlayBook Powered Off, Connect the PlayBook to your computer.
You should see and error screen from Desktop Software pop up that has the options to Retry, Update, or Cancel.
QUICKLY choose the Update option.
This will erase all the information off of your PlayBook and Re-Write the Software back onto it. Once it's complete your PlayBook will need to go back through the setup wizard, and you can then perform a restore using Desktop Software to return your information. The only thing that won't come back after the restore are the apps that you downloaded from App World but they can be easily Re-Installed using the My World feature in App World.
