Is there a way for HP Smart Print 2.7 to work with Windows 7 64-bit  IE 11?

    Hi,
Unfortunately HP Smart Print software  is only supported for Internet Explorer versions 6 through 9. No more development after that.

  • Smart Print not working on my HP 8500A Plus

I installed Smart Print on my HP laptop.   One page documents are printing in multiple pages and in fragments.  The color is also missing or is out of synch.   Origin of document does not appear to matter.  Web docs and Word docs are all effected.   I would like to disable or uninstall so I can get on with my work.

Smart Print works great for most websites. It is important to us to understand the problem you encountered.  Can you provide the URL so we can investigate and fix the issue?

No, The smart Print application only intended to provide web print functionality .
If you use Windows Vista or 7 you may use the Snipping Tool for a such:

  • HP Smart Print Doesn't work on IE9 & W7 64-bit

I have searched this forum for hours and have not found an answer to my problem.  Some threads say I need HP BING for HP Smart Print to work.  Another says I do not.  I can't find any download for HP BING.
I did download HP Smart Print and the icon appears on by browser toolbar.  It seems to be enabled.  But clicking on the icon does nothing.  In an earlier attempt I did get it function partially:  It selected are area of the web page, but then it switched the web to ATT Search site.  I also tried downloading BING from the BING website after installing Smart Print; but that did not solve the problem.
Why has HP made this so difficult.  From the number of posts it looks like it is a piece of junk.  Does it print only text or the exact copy of the selected area?  All the descriptions are foggy on this.

I am sorry that you are having an issue with HP Smart Print. I would go to the control panel under Add/Remove programs and uninstall it and then restart the computer. I would then use this link to install and read the frequently asked question on the tool as that will answer some of the questions you had about Smart Print. There is also a video that one can view to see it in use.
I use it in Internet Explorer version 8. When I open it up to use it; the tool allows me to adjust the printable area of the web page and then I can go back though and select individual areas to remove. Those areas that will not appear on the printout are encased in an red box outline and the portions that will print are in a green box outline.  I hope that this helps.

    I'm using a Presario desktop & windows 7.
I have done all of the steps suggested here - both the Bing bar program & the HP smartprint 1.0.9.0 are listed.
When I right click the command bar - The HP smartprint icon does NOT show up.
I don't see any thing that I can guess is the Bing Bar.

  • Why can't I get Smart Print to open?

I have an Officejet J3680 All-in-One printer and my laptop uses Windows 7 (64).  I was trying to find the Smart Print icon and in doing so I saw a note saying there was a newer version of Smart Print (2.0).  I tried to install it and it said I had to uninstall what was already installed.  I did  that and installed and activitated this version.  I can now find the icon but when I click on it, it will not open, even though the add-on manager said it is enabled.  What do I need to do?
P.S.  The version I unstalled was something with a 4., wouldn't that be a newer version?  If so, how do I get it back?

What version of Windows are you using?
HP designed a quick and easy tool that diagnoses and resolves many printing, scanning, and connectivity problems: The HP Print and Scan Doctor. HP recommends that you download and install the Print and Scan Doctor any time you need to troubleshoot a problem with your HP printer from the link below.

  • SMART PRINT: How do I use SMART Print on Safari web browser please?

I use a MAC with Safari web browser. How do I get Smart Print for Safari please. (I do not want to use BING). Is there any way of doing this?

    Hi Paulmozzi!
Here it is the supported devices list: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/platforms/
However, because of the large number of Android devices (phones and tablets), not all new devices could be tested yet, but the list will continue to be updated.
I am not sure if I understand correctly your issue. When typing something in url bar, you will have at least 4 default search engines (Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, Twitter), so you can choose any of them. If you want to install more search engines, here it is a useful link for that: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html (open this link using Firefox Mobile on your tablet).
If you still need more help, please let us know. Any more details regarding your issue will be very useful.
