Hp smart print firefox 3.6 or 4.0 series

Is there any news about support for the new series of Firefox Internet Explorers?
For now HP Smart Print only work with the 3.5 series of Firefox.
This is outdated software.
Now available is 3.6 and 4.0 versions.
Please let me know when the new versions will comeout.
Greetings,

  • Why can't I use smart print after upgrading my Mozilla Firefox browser

I am on Windows Vista and using 3.6.24 version of Mozilla Firefox.  When I upgraded to that version I got a brief message that HP Smart Printing was not compatible and then Smart Printing disappeared.  I cannot get into the program and the icon does not appear.  What can I do to use Smart Printing because I loved it?

Non authoritative answer: Only IE and Bing Toolbar versions are available.  Did Microsoft decide to fund development strictly for their browsers?

  • Will Firefox 5.0 ever be supported by HP Smart Print?

Will Firefox ever be supported by HP Smart Print.?  The Add ons now do not work/are not compatible with FF 5.0.

I do not have any inside information from HP, but someone working for a company with a large consumer medical site mentioned to me that they can no longer support Firefox due to thier new release model of a major release every 3 months.  (FF 5 was just released recently, FF6 beta is already out).  The release schedule is happening too quickly, and there is not enough backward compatibility, particurlarly for add-ins to allow proper support.  By the time testing for a release can be done the release has already been obsoleted with the next version.
I would be surprised if HP would support Firefox in add-ins like Smart Printing, they would always be behind and would have unhappy customers.
[Disclaimer - I do not work for HP and do not have any information, official or otherwise,  from HP folks on this subject.  The above is my opinion.]

  • Smart Print on Mozilla Firefox

I reloaded Mozilla Firefox. The smart Print icon no longer appears in the toolbar. How do I get it back?

    Hi Bobgustafson,
I am sorry to hear that did not work. Because the Mozilla Firefox Smart print add-on is not developed by HP, there is not much more assistance I can provide. This Smart Print add-on was created by ** Briks Software, and  ** David McNamara, maybe you could contact one of them. I checked the link I previously posted and it states "Not available for Firefox 15.0", this could be the issue.
If you would like to use Internet Explorer you can use the HP Smart Print, to do this you may need to uninstall the Mozilla add-on and install the ** Smart Print - Easily print from the web. (this is something I can support)
The only other thing I can think of is checking your Mozilla, click on view > toolbars > add-on bar" and making sure it is selected.
Note:   ** = Click here to open a hyperlink. A hyperlink is a word, phrase, or image that you can click on to jump to a new document or a new section within the current document.
    I hope this is helpful.

    Hi,
You may print from Firefox using the standard print dialog (File > Print or by clicking the CTRL + P keys).
The HP Smart Print only compatible with Internet Explore 6 - 9 as you may find listed below:
Smart Print works on Windows XP SP3, Vista and Win 7 and currently supports only Internet Explorer 6.0 and above.

  • SMART PRINT: How do I use SMART Print on Safari web browser please?

I use a MAC with Safari web browser. How do I get Smart Print for Safari please. (I do not want to use BING). Is there any way of doing this?

    Hi Paulmozzi!
Here it is the supported devices list: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/platforms/
However, because of the large number of Android devices (phones and tablets), not all new devices could be tested yet, but the list will continue to be updated.
I am not sure if I understand correctly your issue. When typing something in url bar, you will have at least 4 default search engines (Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, Twitter), so you can choose any of them. If you want to install more search engines, here it is a useful link for that: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html (open this link using Firefox Mobile on your tablet).
If you still need more help, please let us know. Any more details regarding your issue will be very useful.

  • How do I get the HP Smart Print icon back in the toolbar?

The HP Smart Print icon used to appear in the Firefox toolbar. I had to reload Firefox. the icon no longer appears. How do I get it back? I am using Windows 7.

HP Smart Print (formerly HP Smart Web Printing) is supported only in <u>IE 6 and later and is no longer supported on any other browser</u> ---- that was a decision made by HP, not Mozilla.

  • I just want HP Smart Print for Windows 7 and IE9. Must I also get BING Bar?

I want to download HP Smart Printing for Windows 7 and IE 9. According to the HP website, I can get this download only by also getting the BING toolbard, which I do NOT want.
How can I just get HP Smart Print?
    Thanks.

The terse version of the answer would have been "You can't.".  The detailed answer is something like the following:  HP Smart Web Printing was an add-in supported on versions of IE6-IE8 and at one time on Firefox 3.5.  Some time ago this application was retired and replaced with HP Smart Printing.  Smart Web Printing (currently) requires IE6 - IE9 and it also requires the Bing bar.  There are third party applications that may meet your requirements, but for HP Smart Printing you will need to install the Bing bar.  A Google search may turn up some alternatives.

  • I like to use the HP Smart Printing program but unable to get it to work on your desktop

HP Smart printing is a program that I can select certain items from the internet.or computer and print out only items I want.
I find when I was using MSN.ca it I had no trouble and it worked great, now I switched to Mozilla Firefox I cant' even get it to appear on your toolbar, and unable to open the program to use it..please advise asap as I need this program and would hate to go back to MSNI

HP Smart Web Printing doesn't support Firefox 3,6.x versions. Contact HP and request that they start supporting Firefox again, as they did with previous versions.

  • Trying to download smart printing says can not compelete because I need to uninstall bing

have to uninstall bing to download smart printing tells me to go to add and remove which I did ... bing is not listed there

First thing to do is close all web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari.....) and then open add/remove programs in control panel. Search either for Bing Toolbar or MSN Toolbar. Once you find what it is listed under (depends on the original install whether from HP or MS) then click uninstall. Once that is done, you should be able to restart your web browser and it will gone. You may have to restart your system before downloading/installing Smart Web Printing.

  • HP Smart Print & IE 11

I have HP Smart Print Ver.2.2 working fine in Firefox 26.0 but it won't work in Explorer 11. The icon is there but clicking on it does nothing. I am running Windows 7 64 bit.
    Anyone have any ideas.

I think I just solved my own problem.  Instead of clicking on the Smart Print icon in the BING toolbar I found if I clicked on TOOLS and then scrolled down to HP Smart Print 2.5 it worked. Now I wonder why it doesn't work in the Bing toolbar.

  • Have HP made any drivers/patches yet to allow HP Web Smart Printing to work with IE9?

Also is there any way of making HP Web Smart Printing to work with Mozilla Firefox?
Any help much appreciated - I have exhausted all options

HP Smart Web Printing has been replaced by HP Smart Printing, it supports IE6-IE9 (only).
