HP SMARTTOUCH 600 PC BLUETOOTH
I have hp TouchSmart 600PC, I'm trying to use the Bluetooth but it's not working and showing small window mentioned :
Bluetooth device not found.
Please verify that your Bluetooth device is properly connected and turn on.
Can I get the solution
I would either suspect cable loose from MB to the BT module or module itself defective.
If your unit is still in warranty I recommed service event to be launched.

I bought a BH 600 Bluetooth Handsfree a week ago. It was working fine. Just today, it suddenly disconnected. Following all the steps again, i press and hold the (call) button on the handsfree till the light becomes steady on. Search for paired devices on the phone, it shows the model BH-600, connects, asks for Passcode, acknowledges it on entering, and i set it as authorised. But when i select the newly added BH600, and select "Connect" it says Bluetooth connection failed. The device is responding fine, even clicks on the device sound alright, but it fails to connect. Please Help. Also, i'd like to know how to see wether the device is Original or a fake?
I've found out how the pairing can be done. When the headset is paired with a phone, it will not pair with another phone or device again. The way to get it to work is as
1. Switch on the headset by pressing the button and hold it until the green LED is stable.
2. Connect the new device by pairing it.
3. The headset is connected to the new device. -

According to the techical description of the Nokia 6300, it should be compliant with bluetooth headset BH-600, but obviously, my cell phone doesn't recognize this periopheral.

Much appreciated :-)
Cleo- Franceit is compliant... are you sure you are following the pairing steps correctly?

BH-600 bluetooth doesn't work at all
Hi!
I've bought a month ago new bluetooth set BH-600. I appeared that it doesn't operated at all so I've turned it back to vendor and today got received a new, factory wrapped set.
But it won't turn on either, I cannot even charge it (I'm assuming that the battery is empty) - so what I have done was putting the AC power chord to dedicated socket, but earphone just blink once green and nothing is happening: it should be flashing with the green light while being charged but it doesn't. Of course the charger is OK (I've used two other ones and still nothing).
More: earphone cannot be turned on either, I'm holding the button and nothing is happening.
As it's the second piece of it I have and both appeared to be broken just the same way, I'm wondering if anybody have (or had) the same problems with this model. It's product of China, maybe the whole series is damaged. I'm just bored with sending it back again...To Kieri above, I too have a Acura TL 09' w/tech package, and since the 3.0 update both the 3G and 3GS iPhones have bluetooth connectivity issues. The pairing is slow as heck now, but eventually works after 2-3 attempts. Before the 3.0 and 3.0.1 update, the bluetooth worked seamlessly, as well as the bluetooth audio, but now when playing the iPod function on my Acura TL, when the bluetooth engages it shuts off the iPod. I now have to reconnect the iPod to get it synced up to the TL now. It's really frustrating especially now that standard phone calls are starting to drop.

MacBook Pro to Canon MP-600 Bluetooth troubleshooting
I recently (and successfully) connected my MacBook Pro to my Canon Pixma MP600 using a Motorola Bluetooth dongle. However, once I'd switched off the printer and then later switched it back on the connection between the two was lost. The bluetooth and printer data still remains on my Mac but when I tried printing off a page it couldn't find the printer. Do you have to keep the printer on all the time in order to maintain a bluetooth 'relationship' between the two? I've also tried starting the whole process again but to no avail. Just as a matter of interest this whole thing also happened with an older MacBook White. Thank you in advance for any help with this matter.
Hi Ian,
It was suggested that I respond to you because I can print via my Canon MP600. All I did is plug in the printer. The only thing I can think of that you may not have done is that perhaps your Canon is mislabeled. This is what I would try: Go to Canon's website and under support you can get instructions on how to re-install all the drivers after you delete them. Do that. Then, when you plug in the printer anew, name it with the place you are trying to use it in parenthesis, e.g. Canon MP600 (Airport) or Canon MP600 (USB) or Canon MP600 (Bluetooth). It seems that the printer needs to be added as many times as places you want to use it. I have it listed twice (Airport & Bluetooth). Then I made sure that the bluetooth setup is set to recognize the (Bluetooth) printer. I have no problems printing via airport or via bluetooth.
Lastly, I spoke with Canon, and they agree that this printer is unable to ever do anything other than print via airport & bluetooth. If you want a wireless printer, they suggest the Canon MP800R. I'm going to look into that option.
I hope this was helpful.

Canon MP 600 Bluetooth printing...
Hello,
The Canon MP600 simply will not print via Blueooth for me. I can control the device in Printer Setup Utility via BT. I can print via USB as well. I simply cannot work out how to get the infernal thing to print via BT.
I am certain I am missing something really simple and obvious. Am I ?
Thanks in advance

Wireless network and bluetooth not working on touchsmart 600
This has not worked since day 1 and I have been using wired internet.
I really need to setup a home network and need to use wireless.
Research on the net has led me to belive I should have HP WIRELESS ASSISTANT on my machine... is that correct?
Everytime I try to download it is seem to be for a notepad... mine is a touchsmart desktop...
Please adviseHi coffee12345,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I have read your post on your wireless keyboard and mouse not working with your desktop, and I would be happy to help you! To begin, I need to ask you a few introductory questions:
What is the Product and Model Number of your desktop?
What version of Windows are you using?
Is this a recent issue, or has it been like this since day one?
Are you using a USB hub to connect your peripherals or is it directly plugged into the computer?
Please re-post with the necessary information, and I look forward to your reply!

Bluetooth does not work on mac book pro 2010
Hello there,
I have been trying to pair my MacBook pro with my new sound box over bluetooth but in vain. It just doesn't work. I have gone through all kind of forums, howto's and articles but nothing helped. My MacBook Pro (late 2010) just doesn't pair. In the past with old operating OS X systems it was already difficult to make it pair with discoverable bluetooth devices but it once worked with a jambox. Now nothing helps.
One additional information to the Etre Check below: I have changed my old CD-ROM drive for a SSD drive, so now I use SSD to boot up my Mac and the old HD drive mainly for not frequently used data.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Best,
Xbal

In the Windows world better known as the Motherboard. Except with Apple Mac computers the CPU and the GPU are Soldered to the logic board and if it is a Retina screen model the RAM is also Soldered to it.
So replacing the Logic board is like replacing the compete system and costs accordingly.
But there isn't much else you can do if you can't get that switch unstuck. Or just go without sound from the built in speakers. They aren't that good anyway. -
Bluetooth soft blocked, wont unblock
Hello,
my laptop's bluetooth adapter is not working due to the hci0 interface being soft blocked.
Unblocking with
# rfkill unblock all
doesn't have any effect at all - 'rfkill list' still shows
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
1: hci0: Bluetooth
Soft blocked: yes
Hard blocked: no
No matter what I do, the device just won't unblock. The adapter has been working fine in an earlier installation of Arch.
Howewer, if i boot into emergency mode using the option 'systemctl.unit=emergency.target' on the kernel command line and then load my bluetooth and wifi modules manually, both devices appear unblocked and hciconfig shows the correct info for my adapter. If i then change into a higher "runlevel" in systemd, the graphical ui starts and hci0 is irrevocably soft blocked again.
How do I proceed? How can I find out which kernel modules and/or pieces of software in my boot process block the bluetooth device?
The laptop is a quite dated ASUS F3JC with a BT-183 bluetooth adapter connected via usb.

I'm running kernel version 3.10.6-2-ARCH.
Many thanksOK, so I think this is pretty much solved, or at least a workaround:
I use E17 (or E18 now I guess), and using econmann GUI I can enable bluetooth! rfkill list now results in
$ rfkill list

It would be interesting to know why rfkill wasn't able to power the bluetooth on, yet econnman was. Any ideas? -
New iMac crashes permanently - bluetooth problem?
Hi all,
my new iMac (27-inch, Late 2013) is constantly crashing, especially after the execution of a particular gesture on the Magic Trackpad. The crash after moving the scroll wheel on a wired Apple mouse has so far occurred only once. After the phone call with the Apple support I have deleted and reinstalled the system and then copied the data from an old system from a Time Machine backup, and reinstalled my programs.
Unfortunately, the problems are still there. These are the results of EtreCheck:

I have not restored my system via Time Machine, but after reinstalling I just copied my documents and small programs on the new computer (no preference files or something like that).
The memory was installed by my reseller (four 8 GB modules from Kingston).

I am in such a predicament - phone not been quite right since the 6.1 update and I was tolerating the inconvenience of switching off and on etc etc for the past couple of months and now the wifi and bluetooth are totally greyed out all the time - did every restore possible including back to factory settings - still no luck - please don't tell me that trying all the solutions over the past 2 months that temporarily worked for a few days at a time will now mean I have timed myself out of the 1 year warranty? arghhhhh (I can't believe that such an issue will create the response 'oh well, your problem - best just buy another one' ???)
I can't just drop everything and drive to the apple store and wait for hours every time there's a 'glitch' otherwise I may as well move nextdoor to the mall. They tell you to try and solve it yourself first - which I did - and now it's not responding to anything I try, will I be told - 'too late, out of warranty'???
I see theres an update for the iphone 5 that fixes wifi bugs - what about us 4s owners? even my 3 year old 3gs is still working on wifi (haven't dared to update it!) so don't start telling me to expect that the iphone will only last 13 months - NOT AT $600 a piece
This is madness and driving me crazy
Please has anyone had any luck fixing this problem???well, you know how it is - glitches that usually resolve with a hard reset etc
then a restore. then a factory restore....then ..... nothing fixes so I try the next step with apple online - fill out my serial number and find it is a couple of weeks out of date - and then with the holidays who has time to get to the apple store? this is my second 4s handset as it is - first one the glass cracked from L to R without any impact/damage etc - they changed it out automatically because it's a 'known fault' apparently - so technically, this handset is only 6 months old - but warranty is from original purchase date -
never imagined it would turn out to be a warranty issue with the phone - and hey maybe when I get a chance to go to the apple store they'll be sympathetic, but I won't be able to get there till at least Jan 4th as it is. On the other hand, another iOS update might resolve the issue - but how long till that release? at the moment I'm having to use my old 3gs for wifi and 4s for phone!!! -
I'm using a Macbook Pro (10.8.4). I'm trying to configure an USB bluetooth dongle. It's lightened but it's not working. Otherwise Bluetooth works well.
I tried to Modify Software & Device Configuration in Bluetooth Explorer, when I checkbox Delete link keys from the Bluetooth module, it crashes (cf below). It also crashes if I click Tools/Througput Test or RSSI Sweeper.
I reinstalled OS but Bluetooth Explorer still crashes.
Do you have any idea why it crashes? I think the problem that my dongle doesn't work is linked with the crashes in Bluetooth Explorer.
Thank you.

Vista 64 Treo 600 Sync Solution that should also work for Vista 32
Ok Here is a partial solution for a Treo 600 (Bell) with Vista 64 (along with my Treo 755p TELUS)
I recently purchased an Acer with Vista 64 to replace a XP machine that was having increasing hardware failures. I did not know at the time there was no support for Vista 64 and that Palm had only released a Vista 32 desktop the week before.
I managed to install the Vista 32 bit desktop software on my Vista 64 machine with no error messages but when I tried to install my Treo 755p I found out about the lack of Palm USB Vista 64 drivers
Insert Palm wasting time on Folio instead of Treo driver support rant @#!%!#%^^!#^@^@!%#!!!!!!! (I know it should be longer but most of it has been said before) Ok back to business.
Treo 755p
On the Palm forums I found the instructions for getting a Treo 755p to sync via Bluetooth
I followed the instruction and purchased a Blue Tooth USP key (Oh and I tried the Kensington - Bluetooth 2.0 USB Adapter first...^$%^@@^@^!!!!! before I found the Iogear USB Bluetooth 2.0 Class 1 Wireless Adapter which works fine and is the only one I would recommend) I now have my Treo 755p working with Vista 64 with only one error message (I'll get back to it later)
Treo 600
I was not impressed with the fact that this device had not support at all from Palm for Vista (32 or 64) $#%^!%!^@^@^%@ (ok I feel better)
I found a suggestion from a UK site that mentioned you could sync a Treo 600 via IR and even suggested the correct IR USB unit to buy (SITECOM CN-100)
http://www.sitecom.com/product.php?productname=USB+to+fast+IrDA+adapter&productcode=CN-100&productid...
Unfortunately that particular IR USP reader is only sold in the UK. So I took a chance and ordered a "Cables Unlimited USB IRDA Adapter tem Number: C250-1160 (about $17.00 Cdn). It arrived a few days later and it installed on my Vista 64 machine immediately without requesting any "driver disk" I followed the instruction from Palm on how to set up a USB Sync and tried to sync. The Vista machine identified the Palm and was willing to work but the Palm desktop and active sync was not responding. I reread the IR instructions and it requires you to complete a USB sync first (@!#$!$#%!^%!#%~%!!!!!!!)
So I took a night to think about it. My only solution I could think about was to see if I could fake out the Palm desktop / sync software. I fired up the old XP device and copied the user profile for the Treo 600 and copied it into the correct location on the new Vista 64 machine. I tried IR sync and low and behold it worked. (Oh and an IR Sync takes a very, very long time) After the first sync I received a few errors, my Documents to Go files were in new locations, some calendar and memos were duplicated all were very minor. I manually fixed those errors and then completed IR Sync and the Treo 600 now works with a Vista 64.
Of course this solution only works providing you have access to your old Profile, but I figure if you been using a Treo 600 you probably not a new user. If your completing a totally new install on Vista I would suggest find a XP machine install it on it and complete sync, then copy that profile to the Vista machine.
Treo 755p Back up Error
The one error I received was it was unable to back up this file PmTraceDatabase
The message read: “Protocol Error: Handheld file could not be opened. (4004)
-SYNCERR_FILE_NOT_OPEN”
I looked for this file in my profile on the old XP machine and was unable to locate it, but I noticed they the Treo 600 didn't have this message when I copied over the entire profile, I tried to do the same with my Treo 755p profile but the error did not go away. So after researching the Palm Forums I found this simple solution
http://forums.palm.com/palm/board/message?board.id=windows_hotsync&message.id=28291&query.id=134275#...
So now that I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get both of our Palms working with Vista 64 I figure the 64 bit USB drivers should be available any day now.......oh and I'm now hating Vista less......

Windows 8 installation - Upgrade Assistant compatibility Issue - Bluetooth Win7 Suite
Having procured an on-line download of Windows 8, from the Microsoft web site, I am a little concerned about an incompatibility identified by the Microsoft
Upgrade Assistant; namely:-
"Bluetooth Win7 Suite (64) - Atheros Communications"
This incompatibility was identified after restoration of an original copy of the Windows 7 operating system, as installed by the manufacturer of my PC! (Recovered from an Acronis image).
That is, the operating system, prior to installation of any personal software, or external hardware, or divers!
Hence, I can only assume, that "Bluetooth Win7 Suite (64)" is a sub component of one of the original components of the computer:
ASUS P8Z68-V LE Motherboard
NVIDIA Quadro 600 1024MB Professional Video Card
Intel i7 2600K Processor (3.4 GHz - no over-clocking)
16GB Corsair PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 Memory (4x4 GB sticks)
Qty 2 Sony 24x DVD-RW drives
Qty 2 120GB Corsair Force 3 SSD (No Raid)
Qty 1 1000GB 7200 HDD
Onboard High Definition Audio
My plan was to perform a clean installation of Windows 8, but I have no understanding what the implications of this incompatibility will be!
Namely, what the function of Bluetooth Win7 Suite (64), is! And what hardware it is associated with!
Whether a clean installation will work, without Bluetooth Win7 Suite (64)
Whether Windows 8 install will have onboard drivers, for all of the above hardware!
After installation of Windows 8, and installation of the manufactures latest drivers, for the Motherboard and Video Card, will I have to search elsewhere
for a driver for the Bluetooth Win7 Suite (64)
I would appreciate any advice on this matter!
BrianHi,
Based on my research, it seems that Bluetooth Win7 Suite (64) is a program developed by Atheros Communications.
So, do you have any Bluetooth device? Did you install it?
Please also check if it lists in Programs and Features.
However, if you do not have any Bluetooth device or you do not use this program, in my opinion, it will not affect the installation of Windows 8.
Hope this helps.

I am using an Apple Blue tooth keyboard and an Apple bluetooth mouse
Second quiestuio how do I get the apple keyboard to wotk with a first generation iPad?Your index rebuild attempt obviously hit a bug. There is a similar bug for older versions of Oracle when attempting to (re-)build an unique index online and the recursive sql generated for checking the uniqueness is malformed.
Which version of Oracle is this database?
Manually manipulating the remaining objects is dangerous and can lead to ORA-600 errors when accessing the base object. If you run into this ORA-600 errors you need to bounce the database instance, that should fix the issue.
The remaining objects are supposed to be cleaned up by the SMON background process but it can take him a long time in busy systems(up to two days says Oracle). As long as there are ongoing transactions on the object the clean up procedure might not be able to complete and will attempt to re-try depending on Oracle version.
In more recent releases of Oracle (at least 10.2.0.1 and later) there should be a DBMS_REPAIR package that offers a function ONLINE_INDEX_CLEAN that manually invokes the cleanup procedure that SMON should be doing anyway, but it still may not be able to do the clean up due to concurrent DML activities.
If DBMS_REPAIR is not available in your database you can check for the installation script in the following location, but in older releases it does not contain the ONLINE_INDEX_CLEAN function. I'm not sure if this is available as backport to previous releases resp. as one-off patch:
{ORACLE_HOME}/rdbms/admin/dbmsrpr.sql

Hey. When I visit a https: address and safari loads it, it takes a long time to load. And the computer becomes real slow, in the load time. It also happens for the https login site in these discussions. I have also tried with firefox and IE, but they
