HP Stream 7 - No auto rotation after win 10 upgrade

I did find it under there and it works - if I wanted to stay in one position. Give us a toggle to choose between portrait or landscape until they get the auto rotate to work like I have on my TPT2. What I don't like on the stream (and my TPT2) now is that in both portrait and landscape mode, scrolling is vertical not horizontal. Also, there is only one column and wastes a lot of the screen apps could be pinned. I know i can get used to the scrolling but the amount of screen that is unutilized in portrait mode needs to be addressed somehow. I still think overall its a welcome improvement.

i have an Envy and a Toshiba Satellite, both are giving me migranes. i am ready to downgrade back to 8.1 so that i can enjoy flipping my screen. i was looking forward to this for so long just for the xbox app, streaming, and recording, but i also like to lay on my couch and prefer to use my touch screens as a 'tent' or just folder under so that the face of the laptop is towards me. microsoft needs to get on this asap, because basically what tgey did is alienate everyone who doest have a surface or detatchable keyboard. AND SPEAKING OF KEYBOARD!!! i dont appreciate that the virtual keyboard is basically non existant! I have only been able to get it to work in chrome automatically, otherwise i have to keep pressing the keyboard button. so annoying.

Auto Rotate after cropping

I did a pretty tight constrained crop and rotated the crop box. Everything worked fine, but the image was not auto-rotated. Even when I printed on my photo printer it did not rotate properly. I had to manually rotate the photo to get it to work.
Has anyone else seen this? Should I report it to Apple?

Sorry for the confusion, let me be more specific.
The photo consisted of a bunch of people in landscape mode.
I cropped tightly around one of the individuals and rotated the crop box to portrait mode.
I "applied" the crop and clicked done.
The now-portrait mode crop is being displayed in the library as a landscape photo. (i.e, the person is now laying on their side.)
I had to manually rotate the photo to get the orientation correct.
Does that make it more clear?

Yoga 8 (B6000) bug auto-rotation after launcher update

Today I made the update of the lenovo launcher (by the way, I have th chinese version of the tablet), the auto-rotation doesn't work and it tells me at start-up that the apk (of the launcher I guess) is not compatible with my device...
The rotation works once an app is launched but not directly from the launcher...
Does anyone experience the same issue?

I suppose you speek about the update available on http://launcher.lenovo.com/launcher/portal.php . The website is only in chinese, so I thing only chinese people can help you.
What is the purpose of this update ?

My iPhone 6 will not auto rotate after installation of version 8.0.2. The auto rotate lock is off in settings and in the Kindle app, but nothing will go to landscape.

Since the installation of 8.0.2 my iPhone 6 will not auto rotate in any app. I have locked/unlocked the feature in settings several times using the command bar but to no avail. I read using the Kindle app and it also is locked in portrait whether the lock is on or off.

Actually, the OP tried that (six months ago) and it didn't work. They resolved the issue (six months ago) by updating their system software (six months ago).

Windows 8.1 (Bootcamp) goes into Auto Recovery after Yosemite Upgrade

I upgraded to Yosemite and now my Windows 8.1 bootcamp won't boot up. I still have the Windows bootcamp option when I hold "Option" on boot, but when I select Windows it goes directly into "Automatic Recovery".
For the bootcamp partition all the options to do anything are greyed out and the size is much less than before (it was ~200GB before, now it's ~70GB).
It looks like the missing disk space for bootcamp is now unallocated?

Can't communicate with Airport Express after WIN upgrade?

I upgraded to Windows7-64 from XP and my itunes will not communicate with my airport express. I get a green light on the unit and on AP Utility. Back on iTunes, on the multiple speaker drop down list, the name of my APEx device is displayed with a checkmark but there is a lock symbol over an exclamation mark in a triangle.. Please help.

How come auto-rotate sometimes works, and then stops working until i reboot?

I am going to be as specific as possible simply because some people seem to have similar problems, but mostly they just can't get it to rotate. I have a 6, and for whatever reason it is finicky with auto rotating after going into an app. Say i am in messages in portrait mode and i exit in portrait mode. When i go back in in landscape mode it won't rotate without me first putting the phone into portrait, allowing the gyro (or whatever controls this) to reset, and then rotating it back to landscape. However, if i reboot the phone, it will work without issue for a short while, automatically detecting which mode it's in and adjusting itself accordingly, until it stops working again. This happens with most pre-installed apps like Messages, Safari, and Mail. Any help would be appreciated. I also get freeze ups from time to time while typing, where the screen isn't responsive at all after switching modes, so i have to rotate, and then back again to get the keyboard to accept entries.

The issue turned out to be the mouse. It was somehow shorting the USB ports. I tried a different mouse from restart rather than only after the problem began.

[FIX] Yoga 13 auto-rotates to portrait on startup after Win 8.1 upgrade

This was going to be a question post but I just stumbled across the answer on my own, so here's the solution instead!
After upgrading the Yoga 13 to Windows 8.1 through the Windows Store app, and even after installing all the new drivers, I found that every time I restarted when the lock screen came up it would suddenly rotate 90 degrees left to portrait mode. It would fix itself if I rotated the laptop or hit the hardware button to turn auto-rotate off and on again, but still kinda annoying.
So here's the fix:
-Seach for "local services" and open it up
-Scroll down to "Sensor Monitoring Service"
and double-click
-Mine had its startup type set to manual, change this to automatic
-Restart the computer
Note:
My Yoga was running a clean install of Windows 8 when I upgraded to 8.1, so I'm not sure if this applies to a Yoga with the factory install intact (or if it even gets this problem with the factory install, since I don't see any other posts about people having this problem).

I just upgraded my ipad 2 to ios 6.0.1 . Auto Rotate is not working ..I have tried to reboot(Pressing home and sleep button together.. I also noticed that red striker not appearing while doing it )

Just counter-check the following settings.
1. Settings>General>Set Side Swith To: Rotation Lock
2. Make sure side switch is not in lock position
3. If necessary do a reset a few more times

Yoga 2 Pro Auto-Rotate Disabled (button is gray) on Win 10

Hi all, Upgraded my Yoga 2 Pro to Win 10 today, and the auto-rotate feature stopped working. The enable auto-rotate button on Win 10 is disabled, and in the display settings, the auto-rotate is switched on, but this doesn't make a difference. Don't know if the problem is with Lenovo or Microsoft, but would appreciate any help I can get...

Folks - any of you restored back to windows 8 to see if it still works? I did after my win 10 upgrade (with no rotation) and to my dismay, rotation no longer works in the factory image. I spoke to Lenovo and they are treating it like a hardware failure (apparently the factory reimage is the smoking gun for them). I'm starting to wonder if the Win 10 upgrade could have hosed the sensor!? FWIW - I have installed windows 10 about 5 times now on my Yoga 2 Pro, and in every case, the rotation lock function appears as a option (after the graphics drivers are updated by windows update) and pressing the button causes the on screen display to indicate that the autorotate is being toggled.

Display driver doesn't work after Win 8.1 upgrade

I have just upgraded my laptop's operating system from Win 7 Premium to Win 8.1 Enterprise.
After the upgrade, my display driver Intel HD graphics 3000 seemed to have stopped working. PC had got stuck on 1024 x 768 resolution.
I tried downloading Intel HD graphics 3000 from HP support "hp.com/in", but it was only compatible for Win 7 x86 and x64. Then searched on Intel website "downloadcenter.intel.com", I could see Intel graphic driver only for 2nd generation cores(i3, i5, i7), unfortnately mine was a first gen core i5 (i5-2430M). I also downloaded Intel(R) driver update utility 2.0 which is a auto drivers detect tool from Intel. It searched for missing display drivers, downloaded and installed, but still it is not a perfect match for my system.
I have been missing my laptop's high resolution quality for the past few days and its like going through hell. Any help from you ladies and gentlemen of HP or any computer experts will be much appreciated. Thank You.

X61t upgrade and auto-rotate not working

I just bought an x61t off trademe for $50. I've always coveted one because my old x60s was the best thinkpad I've ever owned. This one is solid and underused. I intend to upgrade to win 8 later, and add some more ram and swap in a SSD. Just use for text input and browsing.
My problems are finding a user manual/guide, finding any thinkvantage legacy upgrade and, the biggest problem is auto rotate and tablet interface buttons don't seem to be working.
Looking on Lenovo sites hasn't been helpful in finding any of this information or solutions. It may be obsolete and unavailable.
can I download button drivers from anywhere? Any other solutions you can help with are appreciated.

Here's your Hardware Maintenance Manual and here's a Service and Troubleshooting Guide .
You could also run TVSU and see if it comes up with anything for your tablet.
There are quite a lot of guides and manuals here .

Edit: Windows 8 should run fine on your machine. I'm running Windows 8 on a non-tablet x61 and it runs fine.

Auto rotation is not working properly with iOS 7.1.2 upgrade

I recently upgraded my iPad to iOS 7.1.2 and noticed that auto rotation isn't functioning properly. How will this problem fix, will I have to wait till the next update ??
It takes too much time, or doesn't happen at all.
I have an iPad mini with retina display, 128GB storage.

Try a reset and see if it fixes the problem. You will not lose any data.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
