HP Tools Drive E: Pop-up

I've checked most of the threads and I can't use their solutions.
I'm not familiar with how hard drives and restore points work so I'm afraid to alter any of the files in the drive.
I can't change the system protection in E:, too.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
It should be Ok now but just keep a watch on it over the next week or so to make sure no further unwanted files are being stored here. MediaID.bin is a back-up file and can safely be removed.

How do i get rid of low disk space message ( you are running out of disk space on Hp_Tools (E popup HP tools drive E on pavilion g7-1219wm notebook pc. It is very annoying. I am i school and I have noticed it since downloading different assignments from my college black boards.

Thanks Banhien for your quick response. However my system shows no backup schedule to disable. I do have a 'Manage Space" link and a Turn on schedule link and change settings link along with Restore options with 3 options-' restore all user files- select another backup to restore files from and recover system settings on your computer. If I click on 'Manage Space link', it gives me the option to 'Select how disk space is used by Windows back up'- then there are two options: 'data file backup'-which indicates i can free up space by deleting file backups, and the other option is 'system image' which is greyed out. Upon clicking on the option (view backups) under 'data file backup option'- it shows the current data file backups on my hp_tools (e the date of the file is displayed and the amount of usage- it gives me the option to delete- should I click the delete button?

yes i figured it out! after about an hour of looking... your computer has been automatically backing itself up every month, just go in and delete a few back ups!! Go computer, hp tools drive E, and click on the name of your computer in their, then click manage space used by this backup, and click view back ups and delete the ones you dont want!!! by the way they are dated thankfully. but its that simple, hope this helped.

Please also check Event Viewer if it identify this problem.
In addition, also check Device Manager, if similar driver already installed, try to uninstall them and reinstall new driver again for test.

I am at http://www.closys.com/samples_&_coupons/get_a_coupon.html and the pop up window for a printable coupon only appears briefly (in the upper left corner) and then disappears, even after putting the web site into the Tools,Options,Content,Pop-Up Exceptions. What gives and how can it be fixed. I have a time limit.

Sorry, but I have already tried this too and verified that the web addresses are listed as Allow, rather than Block. After restart there was no difference, I still get the disappearing pop-up windows.

Have you heard of any issues like this occurring based on the number of tabs that are open in Firefox?
Just a thought, even though I have not heard of this as an issue before. I keep about 80 tabs open regularly, because of research that I am always conducting (I am a blogger, a writer/author, a technophile-especially Green Tech.,), email, work, etc.?
I do have a check in the box for Firefox to let me know if the number of open tabs is causing slow down or other issues.

Last couple days, I have been getting the error msg: " HP TOOLS Drive E: running out of space... " then something about pls CLICK here to find out the free up some space... I click and the only thing listed is the RECYCLE BIN which is empty... Thank you in advance for any help on this!

CD/DVD Drive Randomly Pops Open

My CD/DVD drive keeps randomly popping open. Usually right after I turn the laptop on and randomly from there on out.

No error messages. No changes to the system have been made.

A developer tools box keeps popping up

A box with developer tools pops up multiple times during Firefox sessions. It is unclear what keystrokes bring this up...but it seems to happen randomly. Each time i have to manually close the box. Have not found a way of disabling this. Firefox Help does not have any information on this.

You can see those keyboard shortcut in the "Firefox/Tools > Web Developer" menu.
The Web Console opens with Ctrl+Shift+K.

"No disk in the drive" error pop up

I'm running PSE8, and have used it for years with no issues...until last week. Now, during start up, I get the popup shown below. I have to click "continue" 3 or 4 times repeatedly before it goes away and loading continues. Then, while editing a photo, it pops back up several more times...anytime I want to save a photo or click to another window then return...and each time I have to click "continue" anywhere for 4 to 7 times to get past it.
Any idea how to make it stop? I don't even think that's a valid location in my computer...

Are you using any third party applications to access/manage your iPod. I know that Red Chair Anapod causes this conflict with iTunes and I'm sure that other applications do to. Try uninstalling iTunes and then reinstalling the latest version.

HP Tools Drive (E:)

My computer consistently says my E drive is full and I've gone through the many forums about the issue, but my question is, it also says that you can format that drive and it will erase all the content of that drive.
WHAT WILL THIS DO AND EFFECT IF I FORMAT IT AND IT ERASES EVERYTHING??????

External hard drive - iPhoto pops up

hello evryone,
I made a search but found no answers to my problem:
just bought myself a new external hard drive, on which i store some of my music, and my 12Go of photos... so i play with the Alt button trick upon start of iphoto to select my photo library (part of it is still on my ibook), and have had no problems with that. However, whenever i plug in my external hard drive, it opens iphoto... and displays the library in the hardrive. It acts exactly as if i plugged in my camera...I haven't been able to find a way to disable that, so i wanted to know if you lot had the same problem, and if something could be done?...
I use firewire to connect my Mybook prenium edition hard drive, i'm running tiger, and iphoto 5.0.4...

If you change the preference to have Image Capture open when a camera is connected, then that's what will happen.
You can download the photos through Image Capture, which automatically puts the photos in the Pictures folder. From there you can put them in a dated folder and import them into iPhoto. Depending on what library iPhoto was using last, that is where the photos will be imported.
To give you a scenario:
I have three libraries. My main library, a wedding library, and a library for my daughter.
If I just downloaded some photos from my daughters camera, then I will want to import them into her library. I launch iPhoto with the Option key to switch to her library and then once opened, I import her images.
I don't have iPhoto open when a camera is connected because i don't want photos imported into the wrong library or the library that was last opened by iPhoto. I want to make my choice after I review the photos.
It's an extra step, but, it's the way I like to do it.
Adding to this, I also have an easy way to just backup my photos on an external drive.
Every time I download photos from Image Capture I put them in a dated folder with identifying text. After I import the folder into iPhoto, I drag the folder to an external HD for backup.
so to answer your last question, no, iPhoto will not open when your camera is connected if you have set Image Capture to open, or another application, or chose "nothing" to happen when a camera is connected.
I can tell you that if you chose Image Capture to open when a camera is connected but also happen to have iPhoto open at the time, then your camera will mount within iPhoto and ask for you to name the roll to be imported and then you can import it with iPhoto.

Tool/driver to emulate mouse events?

is there a software for my mouse to use an emulated middle mouse button when you click both the left and right button (for example)?

I had to manually download the new version of itunes.. via tools, it gave me 4 items to download and i did not download all 4 compenants. Does anyone know how to get back to the pop up that contains tools so i can redownlaod all of them.

I lost my old iphone and have a new 5s.. i need to sync to itunes. i had to donwload manually via tools but i didnt download all four files. now when i plug my phone into itunes it says there is an error bc i didnt download all the files. so when i go into itunes now and check for updates it says its up to date. the problem is with the phone support file i didnt download.
Does anyone know how to get back to the pop up that has the music player update and itunes update bc this is the only place i have seen "tools" to be able to manually update all four files....
***IF i completely uninstall itunes and reinstall will it still have all my songs, photos, apps etc... bc i need to sync my new phone to get all my stuff back

this is a follow up from the profane post earlier....
i have done this twice in two other posts..
here is my problem.. i started off trying to update itunes, it failed twice and said i needed to install manually via tools.
the only place to get to tools is the pop up box that appears when you click check for updates.. if there is an available update then the pop up shows up with the quick time and itunes files to download. so i finally figured that out. i clicked on tools and manual update, four files were saved to a file. Apple mobile device support, another one similar, itunes, and another one i cant remember. I only downloaded the itunes file seeing as though thats all i needed to accomplish in the first place.
so then i restarted my computer bc you need to reboot and then reopen itunes for update to take effect. once i have itunes back open i plugged in my new 5s which i am trying to sync to my computer to get all my stuff back bc i lost my previous phone over the weekend.. once i plugged the phone in an error stating i needed to unistall the apple mobile device support and itunes and then reinstall. well i dont know where those files were originally stored on my computer AND since my itunes was updated, just not the other 3 associated files, when i click check for updates it says its up to date and then pop up containing the quick time and itunes does not pop up thus i cant get back to the tools tab to manually save the 4 files again.
so i was just going to uninstall itunes all together and then i thought well what happens if it erases all my photos apps songs etc... which would defeat the whole purpose in the first place of me trying to sync my new phone to get all my stuff back.
so i literally have no idea what to do at this point.. if you have read this you are probably just as confused as me...

Spacebar-alt to have auto pop auto collapse HUD of tool relevant adjustment sliders

spacebar allows me to drag the document around, right next to it, as an option I`d like to see spacebar-alt for an instant pop up dialogue or heads up display, over the mouse for tool specific adjustments, (right now its "enter")
but I`d like to see it as "auto collapse", so as soon as I let go of alt and just use the spacebar to move the image around the pop up with sliders disappears,
the pop would have sliders for dynamic update to stroke size, transparency, lightmode, all as dynamic live update sliders except for lightmodes (drop down) on the popup, for pencil, brushes, erasor,
for warp tools, individual stroke size, pressure and angle sliders, intensity, detail, simplify,
For symbols, diameter, intensity, symbol set density sliders.
why I like it
more intuitive, speed up and increase work "FLOW" and focus as its all right there at where your focusing and working.
not having to open dialogues and click drop downs or enter numbers.
the pop up HUD would be semi transparent except for the sliders and number values to see the dynamic live update results below of the selected object.
also a check box option on the pop up for live update of selected object or objects below, or not update selected object

pencil tool is something I use a LOT for obvious reasons, but pressing enter to open the dialogue box takes me away from my visualization and flow, its like slowing down for a road bump.
with the HUD using spacebar alt, it would be provide a smoother non intrusive adjustment to settings for my user experience, as I use the pen tablet and the space bar on the keyboard to pan around, so my hand is already on the spacebar, just using my "pinky" little finger with "alt" and other on spacebar can activate HUD and adjust fidelity, smoothness and "edit selected paths", I use these 3 a LOT when drawing depending on what phase of the drawing I`m in and what part, what kind of lines I am creating... would make the drawing experience less "start stop" and feel more just gliding as I make adjustments with alt spacebar to settings.
if you have used Zbrush from pixologic you will know what I mean by adjusting tools with HUD pop up sliders, and theirs doesnt seem to bring the computer to a grinding halt like when I use the colour picker HUD in photoshop with openGL..
