HP Touch Smart Calendar w/Curve 8330

I'd like to be able to sync my calendars...I've been using the HP Touchsmart. My options appear to be Yahoo (using the menu from BB desktop manager). Is this wishful thinking or possible? If so, how???

for calendars, you can use Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo! Calendar or Google Calendar or Lotus Notes Calendar.
Google Calendar is fine, you just have to install the Google Mobile Sync on your Blackberry.

  • After Google Synch is gone (Sept. 1), what can I use to synch calendar on Curve 8330?

I have a Curve 8330.  My provider is Verizon.  Google announced that Google Synch will no longer operate after Sept. 1.
Are there any solutions to my problem other than replacing the Curve or using another calendar?    I am not on a BES.
    Thanks. Gil

    Hey BBgls,
Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Google® calendar synchronization using a integrated Gmail® email account and the BlackBerry® smartphone is currently only supported with BlackBerry® Device Software 5.0.0.176 and higher.
    Thanks.

  • Duplicate calendar entries - Curve 8330

I currently sync my Outlook calendar to my device via Desktop Manager because my company won't allow me access to their enterprise server.  I recently sent Service Books and downloaded a new version of Desktop Manager.  Now I have three calendars to choose from on my device - Default Device, my personal email account and my blackberry email account.  Outlook only shows one entry for each item, but on the device everything is duplicated except for what I had entered through Outlook - does that make sense?
I manually deleted some duplicates, but when I re-sync they are back.
How do I fix this or make Desktop Manager only sync to one calendar on my device?
    Thanks!!

Can you provide more information Ardiana? Are you syncing using a USB cable? If so, are you trying to sync your Enterprise calendar or your personal calendar?

  • Can't transfer calendar: Palm Treo to Curve 8330

I've been helping my husband switch over from his Palm Treo 600, using Palm desktop, to new BB Curve 8330. A salesman transferred name and tel #s only.  I've managed to switch most of his Palm into Outlook, and sync'd Outlook with the BB.  The only problem now seems to be that the calendar is not syncing over to the BB. Suggestions???
I have tried to sync setting configurations several different ways: to sync all or calendar only, to have Outlook override device, and two way.  Nothing will get the calendar over to the BB, although all his addresses and tasks are there now. Help!
    TIA,
    Michelle (for Chuck)

    Hi,
Outlook 2003 and desktop manager v.6 will be perfect!
Yes install the main email address on the Blackberry to match Outlook.
On the Blackberry you get a calendar for each email address you use.
Only one can be synchronized with the Outlook calendar.
You can go to Outlook, tools, email options and make sure of the default account.
Then on the Blackberry from the home screen, options, advanced options,
default services. Use the main email options CICAL is the calendar and CMIME is the email.
By placing them as default you then sync email address to email address calendars.
    Make sense?
Let me know if you need anything else!
    Thanks,
    Bifocals

  • Calendars for Blackberry Curve 8330......

Ohhh please help me!!!! I just bought the Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330. I a coming from a Palm Treo 700P. I love the Curve but I do not want to have to use outlook. Anyone who used Palm knows you could have multiple calendars and on both the Pam and Computer. I have all my dads medical, appointments, my cancer appointments and both of our lives on my Palm. When Verizon Synchronized it only the phone #'s came through and nothing for the calendar. I am now having to carry my palm treo for the personal information, drug histories, appointments, etc. Does anyone know of a program with the Calendar for both the desktop and the blackberry that I can download that will synch to each other or have any other ideas on what I can do? I would so appreciate it. Thank you so very much for any help.

    DVD profiler/tracker:
I want some kind if software where I can track all my DVDs on my blackberry I all ready have one on my pc called DVD profiler but it dose now work on my phone so im looking for a alternate pace of software. Free if possible
    MS office:
I want some kind if software where I can put all my documents on my phone I all ready have ms office on my pc but im looking to have one on my blackberry  a pace of software where I can save, edit, all my docs (ms office, open office) or anything like that. Free if

Regarding the MS office, if you install the BB OS V. 4.5.0.x, it comes with Documents2Go.  By registering, you get the updated version of the app which includes the ability to read/edit MS Excel docs.  When all is said and done, the standard version of Documents2Go allows you to view/edit Word, Powerpoint, and Excel documents.  To create new documents, you need to upgrade to the premium version of Documents2Go.  Documents2Go requires BB OS 4.5.

    Welcome to the forums
As always, have you tried a battery pull?
    1. Remove the battery while phone is turned on
    2. Wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. Allow the long boot up process to finish (takes a few minutes usually)
Have you checked your synchronization settings in desktop manager and reconfigured them?
Do you have the latest version of Desktop Manager? Should be 5.0
Try a clean uninstall of Desktop Manager and then reinstall the latest version:
    Uninstall instructions here - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206
Latest version available here - https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do
Configure the synchronization again and try.
To help you better can you provide your phone's OS version. Go to options>about, 3rd line down is 4.X.X.XXX. What is your Desktop Manager version and are you getting any error messages while synching? The more specific information you can provide the easier it is to get to the right solution
    Cheers,
    Kijana

  • Blackberry Curve 8330 and Desktop Manager v5.0

I have a BB curve 8330 running the current device software, BB Desktop manager v5.0 and Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista and have just recently experienced problems syncing.  I continue to get an error message such as below...
Faulting application DesktopMgr.exe, version 5.0.0.11, time stamp 0x4a4bd539, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e03821, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000afaf8, process id 0x1dc, application start time 0x01ca41d751046e2b.
I've tried everything I can think of from reinstalling DTM, previous versions of DTM...getting rid of the "intellisync" folder that others have discussed...scanning my PST and OST files for errors, reconfiguring the sync settings...all with the same result.  Everything is fine until it goes to read the calendar off of outlook and sync it...then it crashes saying the program has to close and windows will notify me if there is a solution....I've even tried running DTM with Vista's "Administrator" option and no dice...
I'm thinking this is an issue either with DTM or with the latest Vista Update (Windows 7 can't come soon enough!)....anyone else have any other ideas as to what this could be???

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
While you have tried many things, I cannot tell if you have tried this...so apologies if it is redundant in any way.
I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
    1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    5) Install DTM to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) Start the organizer configuration over:
KB17022 How to configure organizer applications for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Hopefully that will get things going again.

  • Can't sync blackberry curve 8330 to entourage 2008 on imac using pocketmac

I have a brand new iMac so I'm new to the blackberry/mac communication issues.  I have received 3 different error messages.  First, "The application PocketMac Sync Manager quit unexpectedly".  Second, "error 1 skipping" and current "the application ERim contacts/Notes/Calendar quit unexpectedly."  Library not loaded, reason: image not found.  I have tried the following:
    - Installed and uninstalled PocketMac 4.1.25 software & drivers TWICE
    - Sent to trash and emptied blackberry USB file extensions from the library
    - Changed auto enable mass storage mode when connected to "yes"

  • Problems with BB Media Sync and Curve 8330

I having problems getting BB Media Sync to work with my curve 8330.  Some background info:
I am using Windows 7 (I have also tried connecting it on a PC running XP to no avail).
I have an 8 GB microsd card in my curve.
BB Desktop software recognizes my BB.
Windows Explorer does however does not (no removable storage shows up in My Computer (this is true on both my PC running 7 and the one running XP).
I have already checked that mass storage is enabled.
The error message that I get is "Your device is not recognized by Blackberry Media Sync...".
My BB flashes the connecting screen for about a second and then says "Connected to Desktop" when I open BB Media Sync but to no avail.
I have also already tried formatting the microsd card in the blackberry "Media" menu.
I have tested to make sure that its not a USB connection problem and that is not the issue.
I'm at a loss of what else there is to do, can anyone help please?
    Thank you in advance.

I am having a similar problem with my Curve 8330, though I use a Mac and have tried connecting to a PC to only get the same results.
    I have a 4GB Micro SDHC
My BB will connect with BB Desktop Manager to sync calendars, contacts, etc. but no media
Although the computer and the Phone communicate via Desktop Manager, my BB device does not show up in finder
I get an error message that says mass media storage mode must be activated
I have activated these features under Options/Media Card: Media Card Support - On; Encryption Mode - None; Mass Storage Mode Support - On; Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected - Yes
I have reformatted my Micro SDHC card

  • Problems syncing BB Curve 8330 with Outlook Express

Just got a new BB Curve 8330 and love the phone, but having problems syncing with Outlook Express 6.0. I am running Desktop Manager 4.5 (started with 4.7 and had same problem) and Windows XP SP3. I need to sync Addresses and Calendar. When I go to configure syncronization and select Calendar and Setup, I never see any option for Outlook Express or Outlook (only see ASCII and Yahoo). When I select Addresses and Setup, I do see and select Outlook Express. However, when I syncronize no addresses are moved across to the Curve.
Any ideas on how to get the Outlook Express options to appear on Calendar Sync or how to troubleshoot why the Address Syncronization doesn't work (i.e. is there a log file that might have errors I could look up?) If necessary, I also have Outlook 200 on this computer if I have to go that way.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

    Hi LeslielG,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
Can you please verify that the appointments being deleted during synchronization are still on your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 smartphone? If they have been removed due to the Keep Appointments setting, the synchronization will try to remove them from Microsoft® Outlook® as well. This KB article provides more information on this. "Calendar items occurring in the past are being deleted from the calendar application on the computer" http://bbry.lv/KKQSel
    Hope this helps.
