The Aero on my computer will not open says Mirror drivers don't support Aero effects, how to I get the Mirror drivers?
I know I had them before, but I was cleaning out some old programs an I may have removed it by mistake.

Now is your Windows already with Windows 7 demo or is it Vista demo? To check this go to My Computer if window doesn't display computers information just the drives are displayed on top left side click Properties. That window will tell you what Windows your computer has running plus bits as well. 32bit or 64 bit. Now you know what Windows you are running. Vista or Windows 7.
            Yes you can upgrade your computer but do it the correct way. First thing first is make a set of Recovery Discs . To do this goto all programs search box type in Recovery It will list Recovery Manager and below that Recovery Dics Creation. Open up Recovery Discs Creation you will need four blank DVD-R Maxwell or HP's brand disk recommend . Follow the command promts Creating Discs. This is for any chance something goes wroung during the upgrade and you can recovery your computer back.
              This is what you need to get Windows 7 product key only if you bought an upgrade discs that fine also but do not insert the discs period. You will loose all HP's software and drivers if you use the discs. In all programs list in top part of list you should see Windows Up Grade Anytime. You want to open it. Just Type in the Product Key Ounce it is verified it will download onto your computer. Doing it this way you will not loose any HP's software, drivers and features. REMBER PRODUCT KEY ONLY FOR UPGRADING Windows . It is very hard to find compatible drivers and orginal HP software. If you have any troubles let us know. Thank you frrw.

My Hp touch smart with Windows 7 premium randomly loses all printer drivers.

My new system will Randomly drop all printers. I don't think it matters if its wired or wireless through the router. when I try to print it says that there is no printer installed. When I go and look in the control panel there are no drivers there. Sometimes I can close the program (usually quickbooks) ,and when I reopen the software it will work fine. Other times I have to close everything and reboot. Often I will have printed something just a few minutes before with no problems and then all of a sudden nothing. I don't have time to shut down the computer and restart it every third time I want to print something. I don't know how the drivers disappear from the controll panel an suddenly reappear on restart. I have also had an error that there was no printer spooler whenI tried to reinstall after tehy were lost the first couple of times.

just to verify. My main printer is connected by USB to my computer and the driver still disappears when this problem occurs.

I grasp that you refreshed your computer and it erased your power on password. Do you mean the bios power on password or the Windows log on password?
If it is the Windows password here is a link from MIcrosoft.com that may help. What to do if you forget your Windows password.

Touch smart not opening windows or after I play a game it won't do anything

I had to send my touch smart in for maintenance and since it has been returned it won't shut down, won't open any windows, I try to run Norton and it freezes, I am getting very annoyed, got it in 2010 and never had any serious issues until now.

          Please open your HP's e-mails or have available your case numbers or work order numbers that was enclosed with your computer when you received it back. When you call you need to talk to Stephen no one else there handles this ok. Stephen is the only case manger who handles touchsrmarts computers those that answer the phones are clueless and have no authority to do any thing.

        I do not know what parts you had replaced on your computer . If the hard drive was replaced then you will need to speak with Stephen directly see what he recomends Your computer now has a 90 day warranty on it now. Now if they did not replace the hard drive just do a factory restore using the recovery disc you made. Shut down computer and turn it back on tap the Esc key your computer is now in Bios select Boot up from cd/dvd drive insert Recovery Disc 1 into dvd/cd drive restart computer and tap f-11 key. Now recovery will start up automatically follow command promts. If you have a very old computer then use f-2 key instead of Esc key. To switch boot up. If factory recovery does not work you need to tell this to Stephen. You are welcome frrw.

Upgraded my touch smart 520-1070 to Windows 8 and now no program under hp touch smart works (HP MUsic, HP Touch Smart Magic Canvas, etc)? Everything worked fine under Windows 7. No other problems with the Window 8 installation. It was very smooth.

Friends, I want to know what is the Bluetooth device in the HP Touch Smart TX2-1275 DX ? Im asking the manufacturer brand and model number such as Ralink xxx, Broadcom xxx and so on for this laptop not the Software Support for HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology for Microsoft Windows Vista driver. HP Touch Smart

I want to Edit a small Video I took with my camera. I am using Windows 7 with Microsoft 10. Anyway the Video is in a file folder: Libraries, Videos. I open up the touch Smart and then open the videos. There are some Videos already in the files there, they went there automatically as I did not put them there. The video I want is not there, I do not know how to pull the Video I want to edit into the Touch Smart application. I have tried search, but it is not found. How do I get the Video into Touch Smart? The Video usually opens from its file folder with Window Media Player.

There are many different models of the HP Touch Smart, knowing what specific model you have may be beneficial to supporting you with this issue.
Are you able to enter into safe mode?
Keep hitting F8 after you power on until the Safe Mode screen shows up.
If it boots up try to do a system restore to before you installed the updates.
Are you able to enter into recovery mode?
Keep hitting F11 after you power on until the Recovery window opens.
If you are able to get into recovery mode you can attempt to recover the system back to it's original defaults. However, this should act as a last resort if safe mode doesn't work.

Purple line at the bottom of the touch smart screen

I have a purple line at the bottom of my touch smart screen , that is causing the icons to flicker rapidly . How can i resolve this .

If you restart your system, is that purple line still there?
During the boot process into windows, do you still have that same line?
If you boot into BIOS or into safemode, is that line still there?
You can try to remove the video card driver and see if that resolves if not, better to try to update the video card driver, but for that, you need to tell me what computer model you have, the exact and entire model.

Hi Micki,
I have a TouchSmart 510, so I hope it's about the same Webcam experience as your 610, but I'm not sure.
After finding the HP Webcam in the Start menu and opening it, I see, in the upper right corner of the camera, a little button or bar to click that says Settings, and it's not very big. Opening that I found some settings.
Also, there buttons with a variety of features and on the left is a selection of emoticons.
On my notebook, there is a different version of the Webcam. Across the top, next to where it says hp Webcam, there are a couple of buttons with icons on them, the first is a little picture of a file, and the second I'm not sure what it is, but mousing over it, it says Menu, and in the list is a Settings selection.
I don't know if your camera is one of the two that I have, but I am able to find the settings as I described.
I wish I had a 610 to see exactly what you are seeing.

Hey guys i have a Touch Smart 520 and I was wondering if it could do gaming and if i can upgrade the graphics card

The TouchSmart series of computers have more in common with a laptop then it does with a desktop computer. While it may be possible to upgrade the graphics card, it will be expensive and may not work. Please provide the full model name and/or product number of the HP TouchSmart computer in question for more assistance.

HP touch smart won't fully turn on

Can't get computer past the welcome loading screen. Can't even get into safe mode. I've tried everything. Unplugging it, ran status thing. I don't want to lose what I have on computer and can't afford to take it in.

I have read your post on how you are looking to downgrade your customer's desktop computer to Windows 7 Professional, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since the available drivers for the TouchSmart computer are only supported for Windows 8.1, I do not believe that downgrading to Windows 7 would be a possible option.

I am trying to install vista X64 and X86 in my touch smart 1025DX (Dont ask me about the recovery cd.. still waiting it on mail)
and the funny thing is.. there is no touch screen driver for X86 nor for X64 (which is the default OS came with this laptop) posted in HP's website
also, web cam driver is missing.. after installation.. windows can find the finger print reader but its not working at all.
I just wonder if anyone know how to address those issue? Thx

my ALL IN ONE TOUCH SMART 500, DVD -CD player is not allowing me to burn onto a disc (CD-R)

Have the discs been formatted? If Autoplay options have been adjusted, the discs may not be formatted properly when they are inserted.
Here's a thorough guide to formatting CDs and DVDs with File Explorer.
Take a look at the 'Getting Started' section and the 'Burn a Disc for Use in a CD or DVD Player'.
"If you have AutoPlay disabled, you won't see the pop-ups shown above. Instead, you'll have to open File/Windows Explorer and double-click (or tap) your disc drive in the Computer section."
If it is still giving you the same message when you try to format it through File Explorer, you may need to enable the device or remove the upper and lower filters. Let me know the results when you get a chance
