HP Touch Smart problems

Hi first post so go easy....
Left work after 20 years and managed to include a Touch Smart PC in my deal. Everything was fine when i was using it at work but recently it has been freezing up, not booting up, all sorts of issues.
So, firstly can anyone tell me how to find out what model i've got
Also how do i find out if i need firmware uogrades
It was on Vista Home Pro so i thought that might be causing it,
i then loaded Win7 but it still has problems

Hi there, Did you get any luck with the model number.
What series was it 5,6,7,8,900, desktop or notebook.
Getting into the bios, F10 at HP boot screen will show you info too.
that is if things are working enough to do so..

No Audio with my touch Smart 600

I have a touch smart 600, and have ran all the diagnostics and updates but it still does not have any sound to it!

You should go into the Control Panel / Sound and check to assure that your sound device is the default.

Upgraded my touch smart 520-1070 to windows 8 and now no program under hp touch smart works?

Upgraded my touch smart 520-1070 to Windows 8 and now no program under hp touch smart works (HP MUsic, HP Touch Smart Magic Canvas, etc)? Everything worked fine under Windows 7. No other problems with the Window 8 installation. It was very smooth.
Any Fixes or patches available?

Not all Windows 8 features may be available on all Windows 7 computers. Your computer may require additional hardware, software, firmware, and/or a BIOS upgrade to install and run Windows 8.
Secure boot is not available on any HP Consumer Desktop or All-in-One computers.
If you purchased your computer prior to October 1st , 2011, HP has not tested or developed drivers for your model computer. Therefore an upgrade of your computer may be difficult or impossible.
HP recommends installing the 64-bit version of Windows 8 for desktop computers.
Not all Windows 8 features will be available on all computers, and your particular experience with Windows 8 is determined by the capabilities of your computer.
Software designed for Windows 7 or earlier operating systems may not work after installing Windows 8.
HP provides Windows 8 compatible software and updated drivers to support only specific computer models.
You might not be able to view DVD movies after upgrading. WARNING:HP Linkup, HP Application Assistant, HP TouchSmart Magic Canvas and all other HP TouchSmart applications are not compatible with Windows 8 and must be uninstalled before upgrading. Content created using the TouchSmart applications such as Graffiti will not be available after upgrading.

This is a software problem. If it is still under warranty, immediately demand a refund. As soon as it is one second out of warranty, you can forget about HP ever helping.

Why is my BRAND NEW touch smart screen not recognizing my touch?

I can't figure out why when I purchased my HP touch smart screen computer, at the store on display, it was working, and now when I set it all up, it doesn't recognize my finger touch!

If it doesn't even make a chirping noise when you touch the screen, it may be defective.

The Touchsmart 300-1200 does not have a VGA output, you will need to buy a USB to VGA adapter from a 3rd-party vendor

Nokia 701 touch sensitive problem

I have with me 701 with the latest firmware version, i often have touch sensitive problem. Sometimes it get ok by just switch off the phone and sometime by removing battery (becoz then button too don't work).
what should i do?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
We're sorry to hear about your problem. It seems that your Nokia 701 headphone plug has a connectivity problem. As the problem is likely caused by the phone hardware, it is something you cannot fix yourself without voiding the warranty. What you can do however, is to check if the socket may have gotten some dirt or fluff in and try clean it.
If the problem persists, we would advise you to visit your nearest Nokia Care Point and let them have a look.

Brand new touch smart 520 losing wireless connection randomly

i have a brand new touch smart 520 and it is constantly losing wifi connection. it is only about 20 ft away from router so it is not a distance issue. it is also not my router because my phones and my laptop do just fine.. it is saying i have the latest drivers. what do i do now.. dont want to have to deal with this everyday!

Friends, I want to know what is the Bluetooth device in the HP Touch Smart TX2-1275 DX ? Im asking the manufacturer brand and model number such as Ralink xxx, Broadcom xxx and so on for this laptop not the Software Support for HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology for Microsoft Windows Vista driver. If anyone knows, can you please provide me the link to download it? My friend reformatted it without taking note of the original device name in the device manager. You may buy usb micro Bluetooth adapter.
With that kind of device you don't need to even remember then it's plugged.

HP Touch Smart

I want to Edit a small Video I took with my camera. I am using Windows 7 with Microsoft 10. Anyway the Video is in a file folder: Libraries, Videos. I open up the touch Smart and then open the videos. There are some Videos already in the files there, they went there automatically as I did not put them there. The video I want is not there, I do not know how to pull the Video I want to edit into the Touch Smart application. I have tried search, but it is not found. How do I get the Video into Touch Smart? The Video usually opens from its file folder with Window Media Player.

There are many different models of the HP Touch Smart, knowing what specific model you have may be beneficial to supporting you with this issue.
Are you able to enter into safe mode?
Keep hitting F8 after you power on until the Safe Mode screen shows up.
If it boots up try to do a system restore to before you installed the updates.
Are you able to enter into recovery mode?
Keep hitting F11 after you power on until the Recovery window opens.
If you are able to get into recovery mode you can attempt to recover the system back to it's original defaults. However, this should act as a last resort if safe mode doesn't work.

I am having the same problems with Touch ID after updating to iOS 7.1. I've tried the following:
Restart phone - didn't work
Delete fingerprints and recreate - didn't work, doesn't even acknowlege I have a finger on the sensor
Turn passcode on/off - didn't work
Reset all settings - didn't work
Erase all content and settings - didn't work
At this point I don't know what else to try...

I startd noticing touch screen problem on top left part.. while typing messages in querty mode, i cant select caps ON button.. instead it displays"Z" on the screen.
