  • How do I download the solution center to my HP Touchsmart 310 pc

I have a HP Touchsmart 310 PC with the Windows 7 operating system.  Back in January I started having trouble logging in on my page.  I was the only admin on the pc, so I could not access certain information or make any changes to the computer.  I finally erased everything in the computer memory and started over from scratch.  I have an HP Photosmart printer that I use, but when I re-installed the software, it did not include the hp solution center, so I can't scan any documents or photos to my pc.  I need help!

    Hi,
Please let us know what is your printer, hope we can help.
    Regards.

  • HP Touchsmart 310-1125Y - Missing USB Receiver, how can you get a replacement?

I purchased an HP Touchsmart 310-1125Y all-in-one computer and the USB Receiver is missing. Does HP sell replacement receivers? I tried searching but just found the part number of the mouse. The mouse's part number is 603289-001 and the keyboard is KG-0981.
The mouse/keyboard are fine, just no USB receiver. Anyone have any luck with "generic" receivers if such a thing exist?

Here are the specs for your HP TouchSmart 310-1125y Desktop Computer. According to the specs, this model was introduced for sale around two years ago. The specs also indicate that the USB mouse/keyboard wireless set use a 2.4GHz frequency. Have you checked on the bottom of the mouse??? Many mice have a little "pocket" to store the USB dongle. If the USB dongle is truly missing, HP's Part Surfer lists the mouse as "Part# 588485-001 - HP Mouse - Wireless, Optical (includes USB Receiver & Mouse)".

  • Can i add a second moniter to hp touchsmart 310

Just need to know if I can add a  second monitor to my hp touchsmart 310 pc

I use a USB display adapter to provide a choice of two extra monitors for my Touchsmart 300. I run a 17" monitor on a VGA cable from the USB display adapter and when I want to watch movies I change to an HDMI cable connected to my 42" Plasma and run that as a second display in the loungeroom. With the HP wireless remote, I can control the video and with the wireless mouse and keyboard I can surf the net on the BIG SCREEN! Cool!

  • Use laptop as second monitor for hp touchsmart 310-1020

Product name: HP TouchSmart 310-1020 PC.
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Can I use my laptop as a second monitor for my HP? It doesn't have an hdmi port, so is there any software or converters someone suggests?

Sorry to say, but it won't be possible - any video ports on your notebook will be output only.
Actually that's not what the OP asked, and it's incorrect since you're not answering the question he asked. There are software packages out there that will let the OP do what they want between multiple PCs. Multiplicity by Stardock is a quick example http://www.stardock.com/products/multiplicity/ and it's only $30

  • No Video on Touchsmart 310-1205la

I have no video on this Touchsmart 310-1205la.  It turns on and blue light on switch remains constant with no flashes.  I changed the Procesor and Memory and still no video.  I flashed the Bios on the board by placing the Jumper on 7 and 8 then back to 1 and 2 and still no video.  In the past any of these would have restored the video so what else could it be wrong with this video on this PC.

    Hi LightningMike,
I understand you have no video on your Touchsmart 310-1205la. Can you play a DVD movie? Is it a link to a video that is not playing?  Can you see YouTube videos? Here is a document on resolving DVD and Blu-ray movie problems.

  • Connecting a song ps3 to an hp touchsmart 310

Is this even at all possible? I was told by the people who sold it to me, but Looking at it, I'm not too sure

    Hello aux :
Smile even if your Touchsmart 310 does not have HDMI input witch is located in back on the left side if does that is great. I went to Sony store and checked they have this cable witch uses usb out puts. Meaning that you can connect Play Stations 3 to any type of computers. It is called PS3 HDMI CABLE + USB 2.0 CABLE PACK. Best Buy might carry them. Here is Sony's link : http://store.sony.com/webapp/wsc/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151Id=1&pro...  Price of cable at Sony.com is $49.99 marked from $79.99 and is in stock. Have lots of fun with your new computer and real soon with Play Station 3 hook up.
If the link fails just go to Sony.com and type in the cable name. I used Play Station 3 found game system and searched for Play Station 3 cables.

  • Touchsmart 310 keeps closing if I don't move mouse continually.

I have a touchsmart 310 and every time I am online or paying my bills I have to keep continually moving my mouse or the screen will go to the screen saver and it is supposed to wait 20 min. per my setting. This makes it impossible to pay bills because the bill company thinks I am idle and then they close out too!!!  I have tried multiple times to re-set the screen saver, give it more minutes, no screen saver versus using one, and still the outcome is the same. What do I do?? I saw some one else had this problem too but the answer that was given does not work believe me I have tried doing everything at least three times or more and it still closes out and asks for password. Help me please.

  • Is my touchsmart 310-1125y pc compatible with Windows 8?

I want to install Windows 8 if possible all of my other devices run it great but don't want to risk my main desktop if it's not compatible?

One of your best options is to make an image of your hard disk and save it externally for safekeeping. You can use Macrium Reflect Free edition to do that. Macrium will create a clone copy and that will enable you to reinstall your previous operating system and partitions just as they were on the day you created the image.
Here is a video with Windows 8 preview on a TouchSmart 310 PC. Yes, your PC  is compatible with Windows 8.
Use the Upgrade assistant for Windows 8. It has a inspection phase where it inspects your hardware (devices) and applications (including drivers). The inspection phase gives a report on what is and what is not compatible with Windows 8. When the report is complete and read you have a chance to cancel the upgrade. If you  choose to install the operating system you are given the option of saving documents and other files or not and another chance to cancel the installation. If you choose to install the dowloading of the operating system will begin.

  • Touchsmart 310-1110uk - BSoD caused by ntoskrnl.exe

I have had seemingly random Blue Screens of Death when shutting down on my HP Touchsmart 310-1110uk over the last few months. Sometimes when shutting down, the "Shutting down..." message is displayed for a long time and then the BSoD appears. This only happens occasionally and most of the time it shuts down fine. The blue screen only ever appears when shutting down.
It seemed to happen when Connectify was running but after looking into Connectify BSoD problems it seems that this bug was fixed after version 3, and I am running 3.3.0.23104 Pro. Therefore I don't think Connectify is the problem.
I have uploaded the a .zip of the dump files from "C:\Windows\Minidumps" to Dropbox here:
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9154836/Minidump.zip
I have also downloaded BlueScreenView to try and analyse the error logs. Most of the crashes seem to be the same with the following:
    Bug Check String: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
    Bug Check Code: 0x0000009f
    Caused By Driver: ntoskrnl.exe
Caused By Address: [mostly "ntoskrnl.exe+7cd40" or "ntoskrnl.exe+7cc40"]
I have uploaded the full HTML BlueScreenView report here:
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9154836/report.html
I haven't installed many programs which might have caused the problem. This has been happening since November 2011 and the only thing I installed around then was Connectify.
From what I can tell it seems to be a driver issue, but because this only happens occasionally (at seemingly random times when shutting down) it's almost impossible to troubleshoot by disabling individual drivers (i.e. trial and error).
I would appreciate some help on this, if you could provide some guidance on fixing this or ask for more specific information.

  • I have a touchsmart 310 and am looking for a wall mount. What type do I need?

I currently have a TouchSmart 310 and am looking for a wall mount.  Every site I check only seems to have the adapter for the 310, but the entire kit for the 600 and 9100 series.  I am unsure what to purchase.  Please help.

Have you looked at the http://www.iversal.com adapter? you just use that and any standard VESA wall mount with it.

  • Touchsmart 310 temporary lockups

I have a Touchsmart 310 1010 that continually locks the keyboard and mouse for a few seconds at a time. I have switched off the touchscreen and changed the display resolution etc but it continues to freeze for a few seconds at a time while using word, excel, quickbooks and many other programs.
I have tried Bios upgrades but nothing seems to work.

    Hello,
You are using the wireless mouse and keyboard from HP right?
Do you have more USB devices connected to the unit? If yes, remove them and leave only the USB receiver.
Does this problem happens if you connect the USB receiver to any of the other USB port? Can you please try this?
What BIOS upgrade have you installed? What is the version you have?
Do you have your windows fully updated? BTW, when exactly did this problem started to occur and when was the last time you have formatted your machine?
    Thanks,
