Hp touchsmart 520 wont transfer album artwork from itunes to hp music

all music transfers but no artwork

Hello gazzer1:
Welcome to HP's forum. I  know HP's software is similar I have version 3 Touchsmart software. Did you click on the icon that looks like a lock washer? This is settings icon. It should be towards the top on the right. When you click it there are several options of libraries to choose. Select Itunes library and now see if the Art work now displays. Yes the HP library pulls all music files but the art work it may not. Itunes it should. Please let us know if it works or doesn't. Thank you frrw.
I know what you are talking about (Art Work) The album or song cover. I do not use it my self so it would be nice to know any way.

  • Can't Download Album Artwork From Itunes Anymore

Hi, as i browse through coverflow with itunes, my ipod and my iphone i like having high quality album artwork from itunes. As i don't buy my music directly from iTunes i usually just change the fields of the first song of the album to the exact same as the way it is in the iTunes store, so i can get album artwork from them, however now it isn't working anymore, i have tried downloading artwork for a few albums and it isn't coming up it anymore and says "Artwork for... Cannot be found". For example now im trying with Beyoncé's new album I Am...Sasha Fierce and i changed everything on the first song to match exactly as it is on the iTunes store, such as artist, album, year, composer, genre EVERYTHING! please can someone help, i have quite a big screen and it looks bad when i get the artwork from amazon or google images. Thanks.

  • How to delete album artwork from itunes?

i have tried the clear downloaded artwork, but this didn't work. is there any other way that i can delete album artwork from itunes? i am assuming the artwork is embedded in the files, since the clear downloaded artwork didn't work.

I think this might have been answered before, but this is what I know.
One way I'm aware of to clear artwork is to do a properties of any album you want to clear the artwork from, go to artwork, select the artwork and delete it.
Iirc, iTunes holds the artwork in it's database and not physically with the audio file. I normally use "Mp3tag" to add my artwork to albums so the artwork is embedded in the audio files, I tend to steer clear of adding artwork in iTunes itself. Just be weary when adding images to the audio files themselves: The audio files will increase in size of the image itself, I think that's why iTunes doesn't physically add it to the files.

  • How do I download album artwork from iTunes on my Mac to my iPod touch?

I have album artwork in iTunes on my desktop Mac.  I want to have that artwork with my albums and songs on my iPod Touch?  I don't see an obvious way to move or synch the artwork, except possibly replacing all music on my iPod with what is in iTunes.  I don't want to do that because I synch with my office and home computers and the music is not identical on the two computers.

Thanks for your help, but I already have the album artwork on my desktop Mac (connected with its appropriate album).  When I synch my iPod (or simply copy the new album to my iPod), the artwork does not show up.  I could choose Synch Music, but that would then I get this message:  "All existing content on the iPod will be removed and replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library."  This would cause me to lose music place on my iPod from my home computer, which I don't want to do.

  • How can i transfer album artwork to itunes

can someome help me i have got some album artwork but cant seem to be able to put it on to itunes?

There are various methods of adding artwork to your songs and albums.
If you have an iTunes store account, you can use the "get album artwork" option in iTunes. You don't actually need to purchase anything from the iTunes store, just to have or create an account. Provided that the album or song for which you are looking to add artwork is available for sale in the store, iTunes will find it and add it to your library.
If you go to preferences/general in iTunes and check the box marked "automatically download missing album artwork", it will automatically add the artwork when you import a CD into iTunes.
You must have the album or song tagged in your iTunes library correctly or it may not be found. For instance, even a missing "The" before the artists name can throw up anomalies. iTunes will check each song in your iTunes library and attempt to match it up with a song in the iTunes Store. If the data matches, iTunes will download the album artwork from the iTunes Store and add it to the song in your iTunes library.
If you don't have an account or don't want to create one, here are a couple of other methods.
Highlight a song or album in iTunes, then right click on it and select the "get album artwork" option.

Go to Google Image Search and type in the artist/album name and click on search images.

Double click on a picture you like, then at the top of that page click on "see full size image".

When you get that image, simply copy/paste it into the space for album artwork in iTunes.

Make sure you select the album in the browser of iTunes before you copy/paste.

In the unlikely event that Google can’t find an image, you can also get artwork from Amazon.
If you’re happy using images from Amazon, and don’t want to copy/paste, then iTunes Art Importer is a free program to do it for you.
And for Macs, there's Album Art Widget.
You can set this to find art from Amazon, Google and elsewhere, automatically add artwork to songs, rate songs, and a bunch of other stuff.
One of the coolest widgets around.

  • How can I manually transfer album artwork from my library to my iPod

I downloaded album artwork to the songs in my library, and now I want to get the artwork onto the songs on my iPod classic. Problem is, I manually manage the songs on my ipod, instead of auto-syncing.... so when I hit the "sync" button in the latest version of iTunes (11.1.1.11), nothing happens. There also isn't a "show album artwork on iPod" button anymore. I'm afraid to change my settings from manual to automatic syncing, because I have lots of playlists on my iPod that aren't in my library, and I don't know if these playlists will be removed during the auto-sync. So how can I manually get the album artwork onto my iPod?
    Thanks,
    Rob

You can only backup iOS devices.
Sadly the old trick of removing all artwork and then adding it all back again no longer works. You may get some joy if you removed the specific album, then add it back again, butgenerally once things go wrong with artwork on a classic the only option is to restore it. Not a problem if all the media is in your library and you sync with a small number of selected playlists. If you don't have all the media see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • Removing iTunes supplied artist album artwork from iTunes

Recently bought a new iPhone 5S and am now using it to store my music instead of my iPod Touch.
All my music is in a self-made directory in Apple Lossless, so I manually transfer/have iTunes auto convert all the songs onto my phone.
Everything seems to be working fine, however, for the 5 or 6 songs I bought on iTunes in my life (and no longer have any of the songs), iTunes has somehow taken the album art from those old albums and applied them to my new songs via artist association, and i'm not sure how to get rid of them.
For example, say I bought Michael Jackson's Thriller album. I don't have the Thriller album on my music collection, but instead bought the Best Of CD and made rips of that. When I load the Best Of into my phone, going to the music app and browse to Michael Jackson, instead of showing no album art, it shows the art for Thriller. So somewhere iTunes is storing album art for downloaded music, and auto-associating them with the artists in general, regardless if the album is there or not...
Edit: Just to note I do not use any album art at all, so the ultimate goal is to have zero album art for anything. Also, yes, I did check individual tracks for album art, every music track on my iPhone has no embedded album art.

    sbeachi,
Welcome to the forums! I have not been able to find a way to have just the Album artwork update. You can try removing then re-adding the album/Songs through iTunes, for that is the way I was able to add artwork for my music that didn't sync correctly.
    Hope that helps,
    Weston

  • Transferring album artwork from itunes to ipod

    hello,
i just bought a new ipod classic (i previously had an ipod classic with less storage) and am using the same itunes. i am now loading music onto the new ipod and am noticing that some album artwork is being transferred, some isn't. i had previously noticed this problem with my old ipod. anyone have any idea why this is happening and if there's anything i can do to make sure ALL artwork transfers? thank you!

If your iPod is set to update automatically give this a try, switching the artwork off and on again may resolve it for you:
    1. Connect your iPod
    2. Disable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.
    3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes (Right click on the iPod icon and choose Sync from the menu)
    4. Re-enable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.
    5. Syncronise the iPod again.
Alternatively you could try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

  • Synching Album Artwork from iTunes to Ipod

Ever since the latest iTunes upgrade, many album covers currently on my iTunes have disappeared from my iPod after synching. I already tried Restoring my iPod, which too close to 20 hours in total, but there are still numerous missing album covers. This has never occured before. Any suggestions?

    sbeachi,
Welcome to the forums! I have not been able to find a way to have just the Album artwork update. You can try removing then re-adding the album/Songs through iTunes, for that is the way I was able to add artwork for my music that didn't sync correctly.

  • Black Album Artwork from iTunes.

I just added quite a bit of music that i downloaded to my computer, onto iTunes. When I try to get the album art information from iTunes, all that comes up is black, its not the real album art, just a black picture. I know how to get the real album art onto the library through right-click>Get Info>Past art, but when i do this, it converts the music ID or something and takes forever. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'd be tempted to force iTunes to rebuild the artwork cache. Close iTunes, open your iTunes folder, rename the *Album Artwork* folder, *Album Artwork (OLD)*, then restart iTunes. You should find that any artwork embeded in tracks displays properly. Scroll slowly through the library in grid mode to encourage iTunes to extract existing art. If all goes well delete the OLD artwork folder.
If you still have some black cover art (apart from the say the Spinal Tap or Metallica covers that are meant to be black), select all the affected tracks, Get info, and put a tick against the empty artwork box on the Info tab, then click OK.

  • Deleting album artwork from Itunes 6 after upgrading to Itunes 7

I recently upgraded to Itunes 7, and I want to delete some of my album artwork that I added in Itunes 6. I backed up my entire library and imported it into Itunes 7 after I installed it. Some of my album artwork consists or low-res clipart, and I want to update my entire library with new album artwork. When I choose "get album artwork", Itunes doesn't update my music with the new artwork. I also tried the "get info" submenu, and there isn't any artwork listed in the window, though it shows the artwork in the album srcolling window. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This info is included in the song tag, you have to edit the individual song tag to change the artwork. To do this, right click on the song with bad artwork, then choose the first option "get info". A box will open, click on the artwork tab (you may have several pieces or artwork here--delete the ones you don't like. It's possible the good art you want will be one of the choices. Make sure this appears first in the list and then you'll see it in iTunes. If you need to add the artwork, click the add button and browse/find the artwork you want to add.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I get album artwork from itunes to ipod with manual music managemen

I have chosen to manage music manually since there are four ipods that use the same computer in my home. I recently upgaded to itunes 7 and got my album art updated but can't figure out how to get it to the ipod without syncing the whole thing. Thanks for your help!

Well there is a setting to "manage music manually" so that the sync doesn't happen automatically. That way my wife doesn't have to get the stuff I put on the system, etc. I have to drag and drop new stuff onto my iPod after I rip it into iTunes.
I'd give in and allow the autosync but I have a number of CD's that for some reason iTunes can't "find" even though they're already on the iPod. itunes tells me that if I do the sync the iPod will be erased and rewritten and I'm worried about losing those tunes.
Thanks for the post! Greetings, Copenhagen.

  • Transfer Album Artwork to another computer?

Most of my album artwork has been retrieved automatically using the "Get Album Artwork" command in iTunes. Other album artwork has been copied from amazon.com or other sites. Where exactly does all this artwork get stored? How can I transfer album artwork to another computer? I see album artwork docs stored in 4 folders:
    1) C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Album Artwork\Download
    2) C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Album Artwork\Local
    and ALSO in:
    3) C:\Documents and Settings\MYUSERNAME\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Album Artwork\Download
    4) C:\Documents and Settings\MYUSERNAME\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Album Artwork\Local
To backup/transfer to another computer, which of these 4 folders do I need? Why are there 4? How can I combine to 1 or 2? Do I simply copy folders from one computer to another? Which folder(s)? My iTunes library is on an ext hard drive, but the album artwork is on the C drive. I backup/transfer the itunes library by connecting my ext hard drive to the 2nd computer, and hit "Add Folder to Library", but don't know how to properly transfer the artwork folder(s). Thanks for the help!

    Hi Pete,
You would copy the entire iPhoto Library folder to the other computer. Put the iPhoto Library folder in the Pictures folder of the other computer (make sure there is no library with the same name in the Pictures folder. If there is rename it.
Does the other computer have the same version of iPhoto? does the other computer already have photos in the library.
What do you want to do if there is another library on the other computer?
Copy iPhoto Library folder from one Mac to another
-If the library is small enough, burn the ENTIRE iPhoto Library folder to CD/DVD.
Drag the iPhoto Library folder from the CD/DVD to your Pictures folder of the iMac.
-If the computers are networked, copy the ENTIRE iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder of the other Mac.
-If you have an iPod, copy the ENTIRE iPhoto Library folder to the iPod. Connect the iPod to the other computer and copy the iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder of the other Mac.
-If you have a firewire cable, copy the ENTIRE iPhoto LIbrary folder to the Pictures folder of the other Mac
    Things to keep in mind:
-If the usersnames are different you might have to set the permissions on the iPhoto Library folder to Read/Write for the new user. Check the "apply to enclosed items" at the bottom of the "get info" window.
-If there is another iPhoto Library folder on the other Mac, change it's name so it doesn't get replaced by the iPhoto Library folder you are copying into the Pictures folder...or....drag it to another place on your hard drive.

  • How to get album artwork from amazon

How can I get album artwork from amazon ?

iTunes will only fetch artwork for albums that are on sale in the iTunes Music Store (and sometimes even that doesn't work if the info tags aren't identical). If you have a lot of albums that are older, obscure or simply not licensed for sale in the store iTunes won't add any artwork.
If the artwork isn't available in iTunes you can also add images of your own manually. You'll get information on both methods at this link: iTunes for Windows - Adding artwork to songs and other items
When you can't find the album covers you want from iTunes you can get them from various other sources. I find this site is a good source of artwork which you can copy to your computer: CD/Album Cover Art Search from SlothRadio.
Another place for finding suitable artwork is to go to Amazon. You can also locate artwork using Google image search and put the artist or album name. Locate the album from any of those sources, right click on the image and save it to the desktop, once it's there drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Once you've added the artwork you can either delete the original file or keep it in a folder somewhere in case you need to use it again. Alternatively there are programs like these that help locate artwork: iTunes Art Importer or MP3 Tag
If you have a scanner you can create your own artwork files by scanning the CD cover itself, this is particularly useful when you are dealing with rare recordings.
