HP Touchsmart Photo isn't working
When I open Touchsmart Photo it has a few pictures in it and a bunch of spaces with no pictures. It won't allow me to open any of the pictures to edit. It says "cannot view the file because the program cannot find it" I think that may be because they are on a removed CD or flash drive. I had opened Touchsmart Photo once when a CD was in the drive and it added everything on the CD which I did not want. I deleted them but also accidently deleted some other pictures. However I didn't do this with the program. I did it by opening the folders so I don't think that I could have done anything then. Also the import pictures is not highlighted so I can't click on it and therefore can't import any of my photos. I want to be able to edit my photos, which is one of the reasons I chose this computer when looking, but don't know why I can no longer import pictures or edit them. My computer is just a little over a month old and under warranty but I'd like to take care of this myself! Thank you to anyone who can help!

Please open your recycling bin and see if your pictuers are in there if so click restore. This time please follow the directions and watch the how to's videos on your computer and computers home page. Things can be recovered from computer sytem by an expert. That cost money. If you deleted what was on cd or usb memory device. Thoose are gone for ever. It is better to load up all pictures from cd or usb device. Ounce on computer they are much easer to handle and delete , edit. Then use a fresh cd to storm them as a back up.

What is your MacOS X version and your current version of iPhoto?
if you just updated to a newer MacOS X version, for example MacOS X 10.9.x, your version of the iPhoto.app may be no longer compatible and you need to update or upgrade iPhoto to a newer version. Check at the App Store if there is an update for iPhoto. If not, post back with the versions you are having installed. You may need to buy an upgrade.

The photos in your iPhoto library are save, even if you have to upgrade to a newer version, but it is always wise to make a backup before updating or upgrading, just in case. -
Trying to import photos into Lightroom 5 isn't working
I am trying to import photos into my lightroom 5 catalog and it isn't working. Done this MANY times before and this time nothing. Tried importing directly from memory card and copying the files to the hard drive both just start the process and it never moves. Even tried putting the files in the folder I was going to use and then selected to Sync the folder. Lightroom recognized the 203 times in that folder... but nothing. Just sits there.
Using Lightroom on the Mac, importing JPG and a few AVI files. Tried single JPG (that I could open in preview) but nothing...
Any help would be appreciated!Seems like this is related to specific files. If I make a new folder with only certain files it works. But seeming like it is more then a handful. Really painful, because once it has the issue you need to close lightroom, then lightroom needs to be forced to quit... it doesn't close cleanly.....

What part isn't working? The download? The install? Do you see an error message? Are you downloading a trial version, or did you pay for it?

Bluethooth isn't working and neither is Sailing software.
Thanks,Bluetooth is a wireless connection technology, but not a method for downloading photos. If you can get a Bluetooth connection between your phone and your Mac, try opening Image Capture (in the Applications folder) and see if it can import the photos. If not, try a wired connection. If you still have no luck, you'll need to talk to the phone manufacturer.

HT1338 My iMac Photo Booth isn't working
I've had my iMac computer for maybe a month now so it's still brand new. My photo booth was working just fine until the other day. Now, every time I try to use it, it opens normally and i can see my other pictures and everything but it either just stays black or stays black and the loading wheel keeps going. the green light turns on though. PLEASE HELP i can't take any pictures. My iMovie has been doing this too.

As i said in my topic My iPhoto isn't working, I open it and a second later its saying hoto quit unexpectedly while using the Flip4Mac WMV Import Plug in. i press ok and try to open it again but than says to repair so i do so, but it doesnt seem to repair its problem. I have tried opening a new photo library through it with the alt/option key but that doesnt seem to work either. i thought it did for a min because it didnt log out but once i pressed open photo stream it seemed to have the same problem. this is what i see

Hi there! OK. Seasoned user here, just can't quite figure this out... My Photo Booth application isn't working correctly. It is not saving the picture. After I take a picture (of myself, for example) it will freeze on the picture and not show the photo down below, its just blank. Then, I have to close the program. When I restart it the photo is not there... I tried trashing the plist file for Photo Booth to no avail. I tried restarting, repairing permissions, etc. Nothing works. I even tried reinstalling the "bundled apps" dvd and no go... Ok, can anyone help me with this? Am I going to have to reinstall Mac OS X? I would rather not since it's fully updated to 10.6.3 (and since I recently had to wipe everything out and start over already) someone please advise... Oh! Another tidbit.. I checked the Console log after Photo Booth freezes up and it keeps reporting this in Console:
"* -[NSCFArray initWithObjects:count:]: attempt to insert nil object at objects[0]"

check your photo booth folder permissions
macintosh hd/users/your_user/pictures/"photo booth"
I've had a number of the machines at my building have that folder's owner become blank or change to system.
once you have the folder selected in the finder go to
File->"Get Info"
and if your user isn't listed as the owner with
read & write
privileges then click the + to add your user and/or change your privilages then try to take a picture in photobooth. -
Just purchased a new mac with Mountain Lion installed. My iPhoto isn't working. Error message says "you can't open the app "iPhoto" because it may be damaged or incomplete.
First try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it does then make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

i changed my email for my apple id, but i can't change my iCloud account because i can't remember my old password, and now i need to use iCloud for my new IPhone but it isn't working, how do i fix that?
If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Will an epson photo 2400 scanner work with OSX 10.7?
If so where do I get the drivers/software to run it?
I have used it with aquire, but only in flat bed scanning.
I am not able to use the film/slide mode anymore because the software that came with it is for 32 bit macine code.
Any ideas?I realize this isn't a direct answer to your question, but I have an Epson Perfection 1670 flatbed scanner. I plugged it into a USB port after installing Lion, and it works fine with both the Image Capture and Preview applications. ("FIne", for me - I don't have a need for slide/transparancy scanning. Image Capture recognizes the scanner can do it, giving two modes for transparancy scanning, but in a quick and dirty test a minute ago it didn't seem to work. Since I don't need the capability, I'm not going to struggle with it to see what I've done wrong.)

I'm having the same problem after I moved my iPhoto Library over to an external harddrive (and then tried to access it on separate occasions from different machines). I also found that my iPhoto had "locked" these directories somehow, and I checked the "Get Info" details: sure enough, one of the things that should have said "Read and Write", didn't.
But when I tried to change those permissions (including the "Apply to enclosed items"), it gave me this error:
"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."
Seems that I can't give more permissions because I don't have enough permissions to do that! Do I have to move the owners to "System" from my own account "b" or what?
(My poor "photos to be iphoto'd" directory is filling up quickly while waiting for iPhoto to be fixed.) Thanks! -
TS1453 Home sharing isn't working and I can't seem to get it fixed.
When I try to go under computers on my Apple TV (2nd Gen), it says "Loading Jennifer's Library" for several minutes before I get an error telling me "Could not connect to Jennifer's Library. Make sure the computer is on the same network as your Apple tv, the itunes version is up to date, and itunes is running." I've tried literally everything short of completely reformatting my computer and I'm not doing that.
-Both my computer and apple tv are hooked up to the correct router.
-I checked the internet connection on the tv, it's in working condition.
-All my software, both on my Apple TV and on my computer are up to date.
-I have restarted itunes and my apple tv.
-I've done a reset on the apple tv.
-I've turned off homesharing on my computer and tv for 1 minute and turned it back on.
-I've restarted my router.
-I've restarted my modem.
-My router software is up to date.
I can play music from my computer onto my TV but as soon as I try to play my movie, which I've watched before on my apple tv and know it works, I get "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later."

That would be AirPlay, not homesharing. THey are not related. Did you enable air play on all the devices?
Have you run the network test tools on ATV? Can ATV access the iTunes store, Netflix, etc? -

Try to rename SLCache to Slcache.old in the following location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
and
SLStore to Slstore.old
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore
and Right Click on the Photoshop Elements 12 icon and run as administrator.
