HP Update message on reboot

I have 3 computers networked to my HP LaserJet Pro L7590. Lately, I have been getting a popup message, particularly when starting up or rebooting that there is an HP Update with the usual buttons below. The popup is in black and white and doesn't use the HP logo. I tried it once on my two desktops and it when it was done, the were no longer any printers to choose from under my printers. I rebooted again and ignored the update message and the printers were back. I still get the message but I cancel immediately.
Curious to know if any others have had similar/same experience. The fact that it is just a very generic popup and doesn't refer to the type of printer is suspect to me.
Anyone know anything about this?

Hey Henry sorry your having this problem what you can do is go to your control panel, then programs and feature/add or remove programs... it depends on which one it says then look for hp updates .. Uninstall that then you should be fine.

Firmware update message every reboot

Ok, this has been bugging me for the last couple of months, and I'm starting to loose my patience. When the first firmware update came (1.0.0), I installed it with no problems. After a reboot, a pop-up came showing that the computer was now updated. Problem is, it kept coming up every single time I rebooted, and now it's starting to become really tedious. I've installed v.1.0.1 of the firmware since then, but I still get an info pop-up on every reboot (reading 1.0.1 now of course). Anyone got any ideas?

I was able to get live chat support to solve the problem in my post. It worked immediately. Here is what I was told to do. I needed to perform a clean installation Hopefully, it will work for you, too.
"To perform a clean installation, first close Firefox completely. (This chat window
must be closed if it's in Firefox) Then, rename "Mozilla Firefox" to "Old Firefox".
(On 32-bit Windows, this is C:\Program Files\. On x64 Windows, this is
"C:\Program Files (x86)". On Mac, Firefox is in /Applications) Finally, re-install
Firefox normally from http://www.firefox.com"
Since I had already downloaded 4.0, I just went to my download file after renaming the file and ran it.

HTC Incredible 4.08 update stuck in "Rebooting now..."

I received the 4.08 OTA update today morning. On the first try I ended up with the "Not enough space to install update" message.
I then freed up space (deleted SMS messages, data from apps etc) and set the date to Dec 16th, 2010. This caused the update to be redownloaded. However when I hit the "Reboot and install" button, I saw the 10 - 0 sec countdown but the phone did not reboot. It just stayed at "Rebooting now...".
Doing a manual reboot did not cause the OTA update to be installed. Subsequently I wasable to get the phone to redownload the update but it never reboots the phone to kick off the update process.
Is there a fix for this other than factory reset?

After much searching I found the solution that worked for me.
I also encountered memory issues when trying to get the update to work but after I got the PHONE Memory "Available Space" to 625MB (or so) everything worked.
Here is what I did:
First
Move as much data and as many of the apps that you can to your SD card and then delete others to get to 625+ free space in PHONE Memory.

Which way are you trying to update - iTunes or WiFi in the iPad settings? Try switching from one method to the other method. If you don't have a computer and need to use WiFi, try closing all apps and then reboot your iPad and try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of all of the apps in the recents tray. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar when you are done.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
It wouldn't hurt to reboot your router either by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, let it fully start up and then try to update again.

The first time I received the update message, I clicked on "Update Firefox," it spent awhile downloading, then presented an error message stating that I didn't have "enough privileges" for the update. Since I keep getting the same update message several times a day (extremely annoying), I tried updating two more times (most of the time I just close the update message). Using your link, I downloaded the new version. When I dragged the Firefox icon into the applications folder, it asked if I wanted the new version to replace the existing one, and I said yes. I was then told that it couldn't be done because I had insufficient privileges for some items. Is the reason for this that I didn't trash the old version BEFORE dragging the new one into the applications folder (under the assumption that "replace" meant that the old version was trashed as the new one was installed)? If not, it appears that I am back to the same problem I've had before.
Since I'll be replacing this computer soon, it seems too troublesome to bother with this update. I'd just like the update reminders to go away!

ISE 1.2 - WLC 5508 - NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently

I'm getting this error in ISE referring to my Cisco 5508 WLC. I'm not sure how to turn down the frequency. Any ideas?

I opened up a TAC case with Cisco yesterday and this is the response i got from them:
There is bug on the WLC side to reduce the number acct updates:
CSCug14713- WLC sends acct-update twice in the same millisecond
This is fixed in 8.x on the WLC.
So, it looks at though we just have to deal with it until they release an 8.x version for the WLC. In the meantime, you can disable the alerts in ISE.
Administration>Settings>Alarm Settings>Misconfigured Network Device Detected
Edit that alarm and set it to disabled

ISE 1.2 - Error 12929 NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently

We are currently running Cisco ISE 1.2, and every day under the "Misconfigured Network Devices" section on the main ISE Page, I have a huge list of different devices that are all being flagged with the following error message:
"12929 NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently." " NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently
Verify NAS configuration. Verify known NAS issues."
The list of devices seems to all be Cisco switches; albeit different models, IOS versions, ect.
i have searched on this issue, and the closest thing to a fix I can find is that it would be fixed in a WLC update, but that was 9 months ago. I would like to know what causes this issue, and what needs to be altered in ISE, or on the switches to resolve this.

CSCuh20269 WLC sends acc updates too frequently, indicates user roams to itself is the defect specifically on the WLC that is fixed in one of the 7.6 releases.
Along with the config Jatin mentioned, you may want to try pulling an Accounting report from ISE periodically and analyze the traffic/isolate the endpoints/supplicants that may be causing a lot of activity (For ex frequent IP changes ) which results in frequent accounting updates.

Cisco ISE 1.2.1 - "12929 NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently" error message

Running ISE 1.2.1 Patch 1, we get following error message: "12929 NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently" on all NAS Devices (i.e. C-4500s running SPA.03.04.00.SG.151-2.SG.bin).
There was a previous post on this forum (RE: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11894006/ise-12-wlc-5508-nas-sends-radius-accounting-update-messages-too-frequently) that stated that the "aaa accounting update newinfo" command doesn't solve this problem even though bug CSCuh01760 "Misconfigured NAS criteria needs to be changed" is resolved in ISE 1.2.1 as per the release notes.
Could you please advise us on that to do now? Thank you.

2. You can also change the "Interim Update" located under the SSID > Security AAA Servers
For the Switch side:
1. You might be hitting this bug:CSCuh01760
2. Make sure that you have the following command in your config "aaa accounting update newinfo"

This message appears when an update has been sent for his approval and is pending. It could happen while opening the project plan, or when clicking on something like "retreive tasks updates" from the backstage menu of MS Project Pro.
The PM should go to his approval center and check for any approval pending.

Unplug any peripherals you have except your keyboard, reboot, and check activity monitor for apps. Keep running apps to a minimum to find the App causing the issue.

I get the"download iPod updater"message &downloading the updater won't help

Here's what happened:
I plugged my iPod into my iTunes to put music on it.
It says "Do Not Disconnect" like it alwasys does, but this time doesn't go away. It stays for 45 minutes. IN an act of desperation, I disconnect.
I lose everything.
"Not a big deal" I think, because I can just put the stuff on my iPod again.
I connect the two, I get the "download iPod updater" message. I download it. Same thing.
I uninstall and reinstall about 3 times.
Still same thing.
PLEASE HELP.

im having pretty much the EXACT same problem with mine. tried the "5 r's" yadda yadda, completely useless. this is my second ipod, i had a 4G that died a few months ago, which had the same problem, but about 6 months after i bought it. my 5G is brand new, got it for xmas like most people, next day i plug it in and BAM, its been blinking that **** little red circle for days and ive tried everything. im just gonna make use of my warrenty and send it in for repairs. ill post if i figure something out before then.
