Hp Veer Wifi broken?

My wifi hasn't been working and I ran a quick test and it said error 25 wifi and 1000 modem. Does that mean the wifi modem is broken? Will warranty cover this?

I'm not sure what the error codes mean... HP support has a reference on the error codes and can tell you what they mean.
That being said, did you make sure the Wi-Fi radio was on before you ran the tests? The only time I've seen an error was when I ran the tests with the Wi-Fi radio turned off.

IPad3 ios 7 wifi broken

Upgraded to ios7 via Settings > General > Software Update on an iPad3 (wifi + verizon 4g) and now Wifi is totally broken.
Symptoms include seeing only a few hot spots and then they disappear even though we are standing right underneath the AP (my ios7 upgrade on my iphone 4s went flawlessly)
Trying to connect directly to the wireless AP (public one) by entering in the AP manually results in a couple distinct errors: Cannot Find The Network and "Cannot Scan For Wireless Networks"
I performed a full factory reset and now absolutely nothing. Cannot set up my ipad via wifi -or- cellular. Any ideas? I could try to sync with iTunes once i get home to see if that solves the problem.

I have the same problem. WiFi is pretty much unusable at the moment since the update. Ipad 3 and Iphone 5 slow as a wet week. Every other device in my house is working fine.

Mac Pro WiFi broken.

I am fixing my Dad's Mac Pro with broken WiFi. I have a Gigabyte WB-300D WiFi adapter left over from when I built my PC in 2012. When I slot it in, it doesn't show up as an AirPort card. What can I do to get my WiFi working?
I don't really want to buy a new adapter.
It's running the latest version of Mavericks (10.9.1).

Wifi broken

After the OTA 5.01 update last night my iPhone 4 wont connect to any WiFi base station which transmits in the 5Ghz range. Only by forcing the Airport Express Base station to 802.1 b/g compatible will it list and connect to the device again. This seems broken as this worked fine before the upgrade.
Do people here recognise this behavior?

its primary base station is a non apple N router which was configured to use 2.4Ghz but using 40Mhz wide channels. That always worked < 5.01.
You guys are correct when I change the config of my secondairy router (Apple Airport Express) to use N at 2,4Ghz instead of 5 it does indeed work.
Seems the remaining issue is with my primary router. Its definitely at 2,4Ghz and the iPhone 4 (5.01) will only connect if I switch back from 40Mhz to 20Mhz channels. I am confident this worked < 5.01. Behavior is as follows: it will show the base station in the WiFi list but is unable to connect. Even when 2ft away away. Only by forcing the base station to 20Mhz channels will it connect. Again, this is no big issue. It just seemed to work < 5.01

Notebook+cable+N95 as wifi modem, how to?

Good day!
I've got my Wifi broken on the notebook, so I was searching for information how can I connect to internet using my N95 as a wifi modem. I want to connect the phone to notebook via usb cable, turn on wifi on N95 and start using it as wifi modem.
PC suite allows me only to use it as GPRS modem.
Can anybody please help me up with the matter? I am really struggling to find any info on that.

Basically, what you want to do here is use the N95 as a USB-connected WiFi adapter, right?
I'm afraid that can't be done.
You're much better off buying a real USB WiFi adapter. They're inexpensive nowadays.

My phone says that my wifi is on but I only have 4g showing on my phone. I have turned it off and on and that did not help. I have left my wifi and rejoined that did not help. I have wifi on my iPad but not my phone. Can anyone help me?

The last time i remember connecting to a wifi network as about 2 weeks ago when i cannoct to a Premier Inn Lodge network, and then the Portal page came you to by time, so i just clicked forget network. and then phone froze.
since then. my iphone can see wifi networks. but every time i try to connect to any such as BTopenzone and The Cloud or my work Wifi and even my Home wifi i get unable to connect.
I've tried the following and nothing seems to work,
Reset IPhone
Reset network Settings
Done a IPhone Restore Via Itunes
Restarted My Router
Disabled the Security on my Router.
tried router with WEP, WPA and WPA2
Tried Setting iphone with static IP
Ive added my iphone MAC address to the router
all does not work, can still see it - but cant connect.
also what makes me think its the iphone is because my partner as an iphone and i clicked forget Network on hers to prove a point and then it connected to wifi network again with no problems and I've checked the settings on each iphone and they are all the same.
Any Ideas or is the Wifi Broken?

How many calls/texts do you miss with this phone?

Before I start: my phone is being replaced because the WiFi connection is completely broken, but I want to make sure this problem is not recurring when I get my new phone (the whole 14 day return thing, etc).
My phone intermittently does not come out of sleep when getting a call or text. I have rebooted, hard reset, erased, and restored the phone. My email is turned to manual. The switch is set to ring and volume turned up all the way.
When I say it doesn't come out, it doesn't light up, vibrate, or make a noise until I click on it to bring it out of sleep. Then it tells me I have a missed call, voicemail, and text.
I can't keep this phone if I miss every single call and text, it defeats the purpose of having it. I only have one phone, so getting calls can be pretty important.
I have perfectly fine network coverage. It's not always full bar, but it is ALWAYS enough to text, email, or call.
If the phone is already unlocked, like if I am looking at my calendar, then the call/text/etc will come through audible with vibrate in addition.
In addition, the phone is sooooo quiet. I can't feel it vibrate in my holster because the text message vibration lasts like a tenth of a second, and it's really not loud at all.
Potentially, I have three defects with this phone: WiFi broken, bad speaker/low sound, won't come out of unlock. Is it really THAT likely to have all three defects in ONE brand new phone? I hope these incidents don't repeat when I get my new phone.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

This is happening to me too! It is not the that the ringer's not loud enough. Calls don't ring through while it's asleep. I had someone stand right next to me and call me and... nothing. But once I wake it up & unlock it, it's fine and calls will ring through. What is the problem? I can't keep it unlocked all the time, the battery will burn down in no time. Can anyone help? Should I be returning it? Is it a hardware or software problem?

10.5.7 won't install

I'm having a 'mare of a time trying to upgrade to 10.5.7 right now.
First of all I tried to update from 10.5.6 via Software Update which seemed to be going well until right at the last moment it told me something like "operating system could not be updated please restart" which then sent me back to 10.5.6 except with my wifi broken.
I couldn't find any other way to fix that apart from totally reinstalling back to 10.5.0 which fixed the wifi, so seeing as updating through software update didn't work I decided to try upgrading by downloading the 400MB update from apple's site which downloaded fine but when I try to install it I keep getting the error message "You cannot install Mac OS X Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
I've got 20GB's of free space on the HDD so I don't think it's a lack of space causing the problem..
I then as a final throw of the dice tried to install the 700MB "combo update" to see if that was any different and unlike the other update it actually let me install some of it..
Until giving me the error message "The Installer could not validate the contents of the package."
It's like my computer doesn't want 10.5.7 and is throwing every error it can muster to stop me.
Can anyone help?

It works now but here's the thing...
When I was at home with my Mac Pro on the wireless is when it wouldn't work. I was able to install and get further on my MacBook Pro (which is much older) on the same wireless.
I brought my Mac Pro to work (different LAN), connected it to the wired connection, and tried the Server software. Same results - "Could not connect to server."
I had a few other issues with crashing and for some reason my Terminal was displaying "brucetablet:" at the command prompt. I bought the computer used and it came with Lion pre-installed. I upgraded to Mountain Lion and it just seemed like a lot of weirdness, so I decided to wipe the hard drive and do a clean install of Mountain Lion.
After the clean install, I tried again and it seems like it works just fine.
That annoying "brucetablet:" is still there though (which I guess is a topic for another thread).

Would like to remain with product? If problem can be contained and rectified. Confidence is quite low in remaining with company. Since posting this hopeful delima, iOS 7 has stayd connected for at least a solid 12 hrs+, iCloud backup has now been running more than 5.5 hrs with no interruptions, storage information at top of page has also disappeared indicating a backup rate of 60% success, f this b my new iOS, I only have heart crossd, not fingers. Future update, Probable. Hopefully finger on the button, Confidence, High!!!
So far wifi still connected

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

WiFi Sync Broken or Erratic

Up until the beginning of 2014, my iPhone 4S always synced perfectly over WiFi with my PC. But then... I upgraded. You know what they say about fixing what ain't broke...
Now running the latest iTunes and IOS versions, I've been battling for a few months to get WiFi sync to work at all, and have resorted to using a cable. I've done the new setup including "trusting" the host computer, but beyond that it's like there's a brick wall between the two devices.
Of interest, my symptoms are a bit different from most of what I've seen. The very first time I start up iTunes, after a short while I'll see the little "iPhone" icon appear in the top bar along with the spinning circle. But instead of being black, it's greyed out. Some 15 seconds later, the icon disappears (no data transfer happens) and, if I restart iTunes, the grey icon doesn't appear again. So, it's a bit like my PC can see the iPhone, but the iPhone doesn't want to see my PC so it gives up. Firewall? Disabled that.
Months ago I tried restarting the "Apple Mobile Device" service to no avail - but then tonight I decided to see if any of the recent iTunes updates had fixed anything and unhappily found it still broken, I decided to try restarting the service. And this time... for the first time in a long time... iTunes actually found the iPhone over WiFi! Proper black button, did a full automatic backup, and stayed connected after that, too.
Then I exited iTunes and immediately started it up again... no more iPhone.
Exited, restarted Apple Mobile Device, started iTunes... and once again, it saw the iPhone!
What the heck is going on with Apple Mobile Device that I have to keep manually restarting it? Does anyone know of a permanent fix to this issue?

Broken WiFi Switch

Hey guys,
A friend of mine borrowed my T61 7662CTO the other day and managed to snap off half of the WiFi switch (the very front black part).
Ive searched for a replacement part and the closest thing I have come up with is 42W2421. This is a whole mixed bag of miscellaneous base parts. I think the ones I’m interested in are:
- Knob, wireless switch
- Lever, wireless switch
Is one of these the items, the part I need? If so, can it be purchased individually? Other suggestions are welcome!

The WiFi functionality on your notebook can be enabled with the hardware switch and the key combination FN+F8.
But if your switch is broken and was set to off, the key combination doesnt work.
I think you need help from an authorized service provider. The notebook technicians can check your notebook and exchange the switch with a new one:

Help! Upgraded to Tiger 10.4.0 to 10.4.11 and my wifi is broken!!

Dudes,
Just installed Tiger on my iBook G3 500mhz. All went fine. Wifi working fine.
The I performed Software Update and installed 10.4.11 - and now my wifi is completely broken. It doesn't even recognise the 10-15 other networks in my locality.
Have tried:
Turning Airport on and off
Restarting Airport Express and Modem
Restarting iBook.
No joy. Please help - I'm desperate, as it's for a present, and I only have until tomorrow to fix it!

Update:
Just remembered Software Update installed a couple of other updates at the same time as 10.4.11 - one was an iTunes one for phone compatibility - not sure what the other one was though. Maybe Quicktime? Maybe Java? Security? Possibly an Airport update, but I'm by no means certain. Thought it worth mentioning.

Try repairing permissions with Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility.
If you are running any third party optimization software, disable all of it.
If your hard drive is over 85% full (this number is arbitrary), backup, and empty some of it.
If after that and a reboot, and a zap of PRAM you can't get your WiFi working, try deleting all preferred networks from your system preferences, and adding back your wifi network you connect to most often. If that does not work, try getting the 10.4.11 PowerPC combo update, and repair permissions again after installing.
If that does not work to solve your problem, is the Airport Express showing a green light?
