Hp w2207 and sharp 42" hdtv

Im planning on buying a mac pro and keep my 20 hpw2007 monitor, and have a dvi/hdmi cable to my tv, know both can be connected or should I disconnect one?, but would I probably have to power one down?

Each graphics board can run two displays simultaneously.

How do you turn down the brightness and sharpness of the display. Flash ver 10

    Try this cute little freebe:

Otherwise, you have to mess with calibration or hack the unix kernel......

  • Design a Apple HDTV with Video-calling, FaceTime, iTunes features and enter the HDTV market.

Apple please design a APPLE BRAND HDTV with FaceTime feature and revolutionize the HDTV with a built-in camera, with FaceTime and video-calling and iTunes features. Cisco is to expensive. Thus, making a video-call from my Apple HDTV to my iPhone or someone' Apple HDTV will be remarkable.

They won't be listening as this is a user to user forum.
I'm sure they'd be conducting the appropriate market reserach about other product avenues.
Real question if they ever did produce an integrated TV would be if it would sell well enough - imagine the Apple price premium on the TV and features and it probably wouldn't look as attractive to avreage consumers.
I would not rush out to buy a new TV just to do facetime on it.
The advantage of the STB approcah is it would be far easier for people to 'upgrade' their exisiting and perfectly good TVs if an STB could handle a 'plug and play' webcam over USB.

  • I have an older HDTV with only 1 HDMI connection. I use a Bose 3.2.1. GS Series II system and have a HDTV cable box. Bose system has no HDMI. How can I connect an Apple TV to this system?

I have an older flat panel HDTV with only 1 HDMI connection which is being used through my cable box for TV reception.  I also use a Bose 3.2.1. GS Series II home theatre system.  It has no HDMI inputs. Can I use an Apple TV with my present system?  I'd prefer not hearing, "buy a new flat panel."

Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.

  • Setting resolution for viewing TV and movies on HDTV?

Last night I played around with watching Apple TV through iTunes using my MacBook Pro and 1080p TV. Conncection is made via a DVI to HDMI cable, with a separate mini-plug to RCA cable from the headphone output for audio. I can open Preferences on the Mac and set the resolution for the TV, but there is no 1080 option (1920 X 1080). The video card should support external monitor resolutions up to 2560 by 1600 pixels but I only see resolution options (for both the built in and HDTV) up to 1440 by 900 (native for the Mac's display).
The TV is recognized by the Mac, but the resolutions available are identical between the two, and changing resolution on one changes it on both.
Suggestions on which resolution to use? Or how to "unlock" the higher resolutions to get to 1920 by 1080?
    Thanks!

  • Mac Mini and Vizio 42" HDTV Model SV420M

I’m going to be canceling my cable tv, and just going with cable internet.
I’m going to be getting a Mac Mini to hook up to a tv and am considering the Vizio 42” Class 1080p HDTV, Model #SV 420M. I’ve looked at this tv at our local Walmart. The picture quality looks good, plus it has 4 built-in speakers. Anyone have a similar setup?
WalMart and Sears are the only options to purchase a tv locally, and the Vizio models look good for the price.

The mini ships with a mini-DVI to DVI (D) adapter. I use that plus a Belkin DVI (D) to HDMI cable. But I have to run a separate analog cable (you can use digital if your TV has a digital port) from the mini's audio port to an audio port on my TV. I have to configure the TV to know to associate the two ports, HDMI + audio to get the whole package. Some TV's are easier to use that way than others.
The little more expensive route, but what I intend to switch to using, is to get this device from Monoprice and combine the video and audio signals. Then you can run a single HDMI to HDMI cable from the converter to the TV for full digital audio and video in an HDMI signal. The device has Toslink and mini-DisplayPort cables for the digital audio and video, and a USB cable to power the device.

  • Thunderbolt to AV receiver and on to HDTV

I am trying to play movies through my new Yamaha RX A-2010 AV receiver from my Macbook Pro via the thunderbolt connection converted to HDMI.
The receiver recognises the sound, but the laptop does not see the HDTV through receiver. As a consequence, no image signal is sent to the receiver, and then on to the HDTV.
When I connect the laptop directly to the HDTV - the TV appears as a display choice alongside the laptop, and when chosen, the image is perfect.
I then connect the headphone jack out via phono/RCA plugs to the receiver and I get sound, which appears to decode into surround sound, but this is quite inelegant.
Am I doing something wrong, and is there a way of getting the laptop to recognise there is anothe monitor?
    Thanks

OK, back before I bought my Apple Thunderbolt Display, I used this adapter from Monoprice to connect to my Denon receiver and thus to my LG television. Worked a treat. I just had to get the setup right on my MBP and everything just worked.
I don't know if the problem is your adapter or not - the one I bought from Monoprice carried both audio and video without any extra cables. All of the DSP was done through the receiver.

  • MacPro, BlackMagic Intensity Pro video card and output to HDTV

    Hello folks,
I purchased an Intensity Pro card a little while back, but haven't actually gotten to use it. I captured most of my video material through firewire. I have a MacPro and I'd like to view photos from iPhoto, renders of my 3D work and possibly stream Netflix to my HDTV. Both of my DVI outputs from my ATI Radeon card feed my two desktop cinema Displays, leaving the DVI output from the Intensity Pro card open. Before I go an buy a DVI to HDMI adapter from Apple I want to know if the Intensity Pro DVI port only works if I'm in editing mode with Final Cut or Adobe Premiere or will it output anything at anytime as it it was just another graphics card?
Thanks so much for any help,
    Brian

    hi,
ihave bought it and am using it with my quadcore g5 2.5 ..
for now i switched back to canopus because its much more stable and not
"touchy" when i jump around in the timeline...
but this may have a lot of other reasons ..
with finalcut its very nice ans stable, i think the drivers have been written
to be compatible with fcp rather than logic.
I wantd to have the picture for an HD Movie in Llogic but now i prfe to have
    stability,
    bets regards,

  • Convert rtf to pdf with good font and sharp images

I can convert rtf to pdf in Microsoft Word (2004) using the Print function but the resulting document doesn't maintain the same font and the images look a bit hinky as a result.
I tried to convert from rtf to pdf in Acrobat 9 but it sez unsupported file type.
I just want a really clean conversion that keeps the images sharp and the fonts looking good.  Am I out of luck?

  • HDTV for iMac and back to HDTV

    Hi,
I wanted to know if there was a way to watch over the air HD channels on my Intel-based Aluminum iMac and then feed this to my SONY HDTV. (I am only interested in the basic channels CBS, NBC, ABC etc.)
**The major problem is my room's location. I have an antenna that can pick up over the air channels, but the orientation of my room is wrong for picking up CBS, NBC, etc. My room faces the east and it should face the west to pick up HD channels.
Just wanted to know if there's a workaround for the Mac regardless of my room's location so that I don't have to spend money to get a cable company over here to install dishes just to watch news channels in HD.
    Thanks!

After getting approved with Discover and Chase this week, I really debated on whether to go to straight to the garden or apply for another card or two.  When i looked at my 3b fico report that I just bought, I realized that one of my closed (and longest account) was recently dropped from EQ and TU.  EX still shows it.  That means my AAoA is going to bottom out big time along with my scores when these new accounts and the new mortgage  shows up. I decided to apply for Amazon while i could.  I needed a card that will grow with me while I am gardening.  If I can't apply for new credit, at least I can ask for CLI's to appease that "want" for a while lol.  I was approved for $2700.  It sure is going to be boring in the garden!! Congrats!  And yes it is boring in the garden.  Most of the new accounts aren't CLI ready...and occasional 300.00 here and there, lol!    Come join us

  • Apple TV 2 and my Sony HDTV, no HDCP?  But my PS3 works fine...

I'm disappointed to find that both my Roku box and PS3 work fine on my Sony KDF-E42A10 HDTV with HDMI however my new Apple TV V2 does not.
What is going on here? How come my brand new Apple TV does not work?
I am getting the following ERROR: This content requires HDCP for playback. HDCP isn't supported by your HDMI connection. This content requires HDCP for playback.
My Apple TV 2 is plugged directly into the HDTV.

Same issue, and I'm pretty ticked... got my apple TV in the mail today (finally), and after a month of anticipation I get it hooked up. I get the same HDCP error message when trying to stream any of the iTunes rentals, or Netflix rentals. Content stored locally on my computer streams perfectly fine with home sharing, and all the other features on the apple tv seem to be working perfectly. But I can't use any of the netflix features, or any of the iTunes rentals either, which will be a major deal breaker.... looks like I'll be sending this thing back! My TV is a JVC 42" LCD, purchased new in January 2010. The specs for my TV say it is fully HDCP compliant. I've tried 4 different cables. My Apple TV 2 is connected directly to the TV, it doesn't pass through a receiver or any sort of switch at all, it's connected directly. My TV has 3 HDMI inputs, and I've tried all 3 of them. What the heck?

  • GT683 and gaming on HDTV?

    Hi guys.
I just bought me a new MSI GT683 with the specs down below, but due to being on summer vacation, I haven´t been able to use it until I´m going home on wednesday.  Anyway, to the question:
Do you think it´ll be powerful enough to run games like Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas and Civ IV on my 42 inch HDTV-screen (LG, LCD - FULL HD). Is there something else I should take note or think of when playing games this way?

Oblivion should be fine set to max settings at 1920 x 1080, perhaps Fallout New Vegas too, though if there's lag simply dial back the settings a tad. Test it out and you'll soon know. Install Fraps for FPS readings: http://www.fraps.com/

  • Mac mini and Sharp Aquos

I am planning to buy a mac mini. What do I need to connect it to my Sharp Aquos 32 inch? Anything I need to be aware of when setting up the connection? Thank you

Your primary concern is choosing the type of connection to use for your TV. If you are using a separate audio tuner or surround sound, you can use the included adapter that provides a full sized DVI port. You can then use a DVI to HDMI cable to get the video to your TV. If you wish to send both video and audio to your TV, particularly via HDMI, you can use an adapter like the one sold by Kanex:
    http://kanexlive.com/products/item-id-3495.html
Once you've made that connection, you will probably have to use a scan setting on the TV to allow the desktop to properly fill the screen. If you can provide the exact model number of your TV, I might be able to find the manual online and give you an idea which setting may be most effective.
