HP w2558hc 25.5-inch Vivid Color Full HD Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor Remote Does Not Do Anything

I just got the monitor and trying the new stuff out. Hit a couple issues like ... I have tried the remote came attached to the monitor ... the little one in the slot ... but it does not change the volume or anything else . Is there something else I am to do to get to work. Allen

I got the plastic cover off the battery and the battery came out with it, now I cannot put it back in, I suppose it has to slide under the lip but there is a little 'sort of' clip sticking out in the battery hole, below the model and serial number that stops the battery from sittiing properly in the slot. Anyone experience this??

Are you talking about the green '+' button in the top left corner? That technically doesn't enlarge it. It switches the window from the default window size to the custom size you made. You can enlarge the window by moving your mouse to the bottom right corner of the window, and dragging until you get the size you want.

I have a similar issue with a Laserjet cp1525nw, it was mostly corrected by removing and reseating the toner cartridges.

HELP Please . IBM L170p ThinkVision 17-inch Flat Panel Monitor

I was given a IBM L170p ThinkVision 17-inch Flat Panel Monitor (ibelieve that is what it is) and im having some trouble getting it to work. I think i may need the drivers for it but i can not locate them online. I did a search on the IBM site and this is where i found out the name for this monitor. I typed in the " Type# " from the side of the screen which is 6734-HBO s/n xxxxxxx .
I have it connected to my laptop as a second monitor but i can not get a picture on it. If i hold down one of the buttons to adjust the screen left or right ect, the picture will appear for about 2 seconds and then it goes back to a black screen. I was hoping that someone here could help me out and link me to the drivers for this monitor ? OR do you think there is another problem with why i can not get the picture to display, and if so do you know of a way to fix this ?
Any help at all would be appreciated Thanks in advance

I downloaded and saved all files to a folder and then followd the direction from an online manual for installing or updating the drivers for the monitor and this didn't help at all. It just told me there were no better updates then the ones that were already installd..
So it must be another problem. Does anyone have any guess or fixes for this ? Thanks again

1. As far as they knew, the monitor worked the last time that used it, but they couldn't remember when.
2 & 3. I always use an external monitor on my laptop as an extended monitor so that i have one large surface for a screen when i do my work on photoshop.
4. i havent tried this because i dont have the driver cd to reinstall the ones that are on my laptop now lol.
5. i see my screen wallpaper when i get it to work for those seconds, or i see a window that may have opened up on that screen.
If it's going to be a pain to get this to work i'll just chuck it out or throw it on ebay for parts. Dell is selling new 20inch flat screens for 150$ so i was thinking of snaging one of those.

How do you exit out of full screen mode for FCPX? ESC does not work.

Hi guys. I cannot seem to find the exit to full screen viewing mode in final cut pro x. Escape key doesn't do the trick. There are no "exit full screen" buttons that pop up. It is confusing and I have to force quit the program every time I use full screen! Please help!

There are two full screen modes in FCP X when running in MacOS X Lion.
Fullscreen playback:
     Enter using the double arrow on the viewer or with command-shift-F.
     Exit with the Escape key.
Fullscreen editing:
     Enter using the double arrow on the top right of FCP X's windows or control-shift-F.
     Exit using escape or control-shift-F.
This is how it works for me.

I subscribe to the full ver of CC but application manager does not show lightroom

I subscribed to the 30 day trial, but now has expired. So, I have subscribed to the full verison of Adobe Creative Cloud, but I am unable to download Lightroom as it is not shown up in the Application Manager. I currently run OSX 10.8.3 so according to your records, I meet the requirements needed. Wondering if there's an alternate way to download it? What steps should I take?

Itunes page does not show full page w/license agreement..nano does not work

plugged in nano to computer, license agreement comes up half page, can not click any responces. they r not there in view.Also no set up assintant appears as it said it would in the pathetic little " manual" that came with it. wonder if they burn well in the woodstove:).easy as 1,2,3??? can they count???

My Illustrator does not allow me to change colors using swatches panel. Help pleas.

Few days ago I started having strange problems with my Illustrator CS5 application. I am using MacBook Pro with Intel Processor. After major update on the Mac OS few days ago I noticed I can not change colors in my drawings using swatches panel. The function on my Illustrator CS5 stopped working. When I select object and try to change its fill or stroke color using fill and stroke from the options bar above work space, none of the swatches would work. The are there how ever nothing hapends when I select them, the color remains the same.The same thing happens if I try to use the swatch panel, I select the object then I try to select new color from swatch but the fill or stroke does not change. I can only change color on my drawings using the color panel but that is not useful for me since I need to get precise colors using approved color swatches ether from pantone library or approved by client.
The other strange thing is my selection tool does not deselect when I click outside on or of the artboard, the object remains selected until I reselect another object or use the keyboard short cut to deselect it.
I have tried various options to resolve the issue from deleting and reseting preference to completely uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator CS5. I even installed back my old CS4 version because I had to complete a project and the same issue is happens there as well. I also reset the application using Time Machine from few months ago when it was working correctly. What happens when I reset or reinstall the app, it works for about 10 min correctly as it should and and then it reverts to the same problem. I am out of options and do not know what else I could do to fix this. Right now I am working on my old Mac tower G5 and CS4 where everything works as it is suppose to, but I really need to get this fixed. Can any one help or has solution for my problem? Please.

Acrobat does not load "Edit\Preferences\Color Management\Color Setup" properly.

When you convert a CMYK document with DeviceCMYK color space to profile, Acrobat X/XI Pro does not take the Working Space selected in "Edit\Preferences\Color Management\Color Setup" as the source space of DeviceCMYK object properly. But, after you change the "Settings" to any other setting (Like Jappan General Purpose 2) and confirm, and then change back to your wanted setting, thus, Acrobat will take the Working Space to convert color correctly. I tryed this many times, it reapears every time. It looks like that Acrobat does not load the "Color Setup" properly. Is there any one knows the reason of the problem? Is this a bug of Acrobat?

my macbook pro 2.33 17 inch takes 9 minutes to start on Snow Leopard and does not go beyond the apple log start up with lion.
When I am using Snow Leopard after it has finished the starting process; everything works well..it is just the 9.10 minutes it takes to
boot that I don't understand + I want to upgrade to lion, but it get stock in the apple logo and the little while just keeps on spinning eternally.
I feel I am in purgatory...:-)

HP printer does not prit black and white if one of the color heads are depleted?

I bought a 7110 A3 printer and have had several problems till today. The first was that the printer does not print in A3 format if the system is not in Amrican English. Now I just swap the black cartridge and when I use this printer says that the yellow cartridge is over and it does not print anything even in black or white! The strange thing is that i never print anything in color, only use black ink! I'm almost throwing the printer out the window, i do not know how i got scamed again by HP . I had promised myself never to buy anything from this company anymore!

"Pick a Color" tool does not work

Since upgrading to OSX Yosemite the "Pick a Color" tool for color fills/matches in Microsoft Word for Mac does not match the color picked.

In chart expert there is a tab "Color Highlightsu201D. In this tab one can specify the condition based coloring.
In my case I want to show "RED" color for Unauthorized events andu201D GREEN" color for Authorized Events.
While creating a report suppose I am using a database server "DB-A".I set the color highlights in the chart as I explained. Please be noted that when we click on the color highlights tab it asks for the database login.
To view the report we have our own server and we are using JRC APIs.
Hence I map my report with server and try to view the Report. My Server is connected with database "DB-B" which is different from the database I used to create the report.
This time color Highlight I have specified while creating the report does not work.
I have tried using the "Format Series Riser" option. But the problem with this is that, it does not color the chart conditionally.
I mean if I give GREEN for Authorized and RED for Unauthorized. It gives the green color either to Authorized or Unauthorized which so ever occur first in the chart.
For example:-suppose there is no Authorized Event on date 15-Jan-2009 and I select the date range starting from 15-Jan.In this case Unauthorized event is the first to print on the chart hence this event get the green color though I expect this events to be in RED color.

That is because the internal frame isn't using those settings for setting the color of the internal frames. If you look at the code in javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalInternalFrameTitlePane you can see that the title pane is drawn using:
MetalLookAndFeel.getPrimaryControlHighlight() MetalLookAndFeel.getPrimaryControlDarkShadow()
MetalLookAndFeel.getPrimaryControl()
MetalLookAndFeel.getControlHighlight()
MetalLookAndFeel.getControlDarkShadow()

If you wish to change the color of internal frames, you have to either change those settings L&F wide, or create your own internal frame title bar UI classes (not a small task you will find).
Why doesn't it use those settings? No idea, it should use something like that.

When I use full screen, the top menu is supposed to disappear but does not, why?

Firefox ver. 3.6.8: A friend was using my computer on the web on Firefox. It was already set in "full screen" mode [F11]. She did something, doesn't know what, but now when I go into full screen mode [F11] the top menu does NOT disappear as it should. You know, you hit F11 and when it goes into full screen mode, the last thing that happens is the top menu "disappears" and NOW it doesn't. Iv'e checked configurations and can't figure out what went wrong or is wrong.
Can anyone help, PLEASE!!!

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Can I replace my macbook screen with a better one in order to obtain more vivid colors?

I have a 13" macbook (aluminum), using leopard 10.6.7. I've noticed the colors are not very vivid and when side by side with my girlfriends compaq cq62, the difference is obvious. I've tried adjusting contrast and everything else, nothing works. I've read that apple uses cheap TN panels and that they are the culprit and nothing can be done.
My problem is that Im doing graphic design work and need accurate color representation. I love my mac and don't want to switch computers. Is it possible to replace the screen with a better one to get more vivid colors? If so, any idea how much it would cost and if the apple store genius guys (or whatever) do this sort of thing? I've actually tried that already. And want to know something funny? When I did my own customized calibration, it turned out worse than the default!! LOL.
But the other profiles don't work either and the default seems to be the best. They don't help cuz they just change color tones and shades, but what Im needing is really bright, vivid colors. My comp next to my gf's, both showing the same picture of Bora Bora, looks dull in comparison. For example, hers has brighter greens and more shades of them and the vividness seems to give it more of a 3D depth, making it "pop" out more.
Plus when I use photoshop, the colors on the screen aren't exact; they vary from the actual color seen on printed paper. But not when I do the same thing on my gf's compaq, the colors are accurate. In my field this is very important. I can't design something and email it to someone, only to have the colors incorrect. And printing everything first ***** (don't have a good enough printer).
I've read that nothing can be "corrected" thru preferences and no software will help. It is the fault of the cheap panels apple uses. So thats why Im wondering if it is possible to replace the panel with a better one?
