HP Web OS Tablet Problem
HP tech support referedme to this site for expert level technician help for my HP Web OS Tablet. The problem is that it does not open and play photos and videos transfered to it from a PC. You can see the files have actually transfered when you view the tablet on a PC; but once you disconnect it from the OPC, it does not show them on the tablet, let alone play them. Please advise AYEC. Thank you.

I'm not saying this is your exact problem, as pointed out above some of your file formats are unsupported by webOS. But if you've done a bulk file move (looks like more than 24 at a time) over USB or have a problem file, the indexer will choke on it and the photos app will get stuck trying to display the files.
This is a known issue I've experienced with photos - I'd guess it applies to videos too and the fact that you've added video in unsupported formats might also be a cause.
You could try to open supported files with Internalz Pro to test - if it works, then this suggests it could be the indexer issue. http://forums.webosnation.com/canuck-coding/256518-internalz-pro-v1-5-0-a.html

I am looking for clarity in saving my instructional videos to proper the format to be viewed on the web and tablets (including iPads). I save my original recordings on the web as mp4s and link them on the web for viewing.
On Premiere the only choices for the web is Flash which is not supported on iPads.
Suggestions?

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running.
Please look at the .mp4 export opportunities in your version....if you have Adobe Flash Video choice, then you do not
have Premiere Elements 13/13.1 (Adobe Flash Video dropped from that version).

Default Landscape Tablet Design Layout?

Hello,
I just started using Muse and love it for rapid and easy execution. The site I am designing needs to be primarily geared for an iPad and needs to be in *landscape* orientation. Here is my problem: the tablet fork in the design goes to portrait with no apparent way to change to landscape without making things act broken. 10x7 is too big for a desktop resolution. People with 1280x800 laptops will not see the whole thing at once. The desktop resolution I have initially chosen is the proportionally scaled 855x640. If I design with this smaller resolution, it fits both screens well with a zoom on the iPad, but images will get fuzzy, especially with the retina displays.
I really want a way around this. Does anybody know of one? I suppose I could manually change the resolution in the tablet design fork from 7x10 to 10x7 and then find the HTML that discriminates between landscape and portrait, and switch that, but that seems very kludgy.
I must not be the only one to come up against this. Any ideas? I have made a formal feature request in the Adobe Muse feedback.

Hello Zak. I have been using the Desktop layout for the Tablet layout too, but sometimes I get into trouble. My current site (as of April 28, 2015) is here:

The problem is that there is extra space on the right side of the page, after one scrolls down a bit, that is not there in a desktop browser. I suspect the problem might be in the Portfolio Composition Widget or the Slideshow Widget near the bottom of the page. It might partly be because I am hanging the slideshow navigation arrows off the page in an effort to get the hero lightbox images as large as possible. Still, that would not account for so much extra space, or that the extra space being only on the right side.
So, I feel I am forced to make a Tablet layout. Trouble is, Muse only allows for vertical layouts, while most people browse the web on tablets in a horizontal format, I think, at least those with Apple tablet covers and attached keyboards. Sigh!

Problems with creating a website adobe muse

I have a big problem with adobe muse'm creating a website and goes all bn put the background color of the color and everything goes normal entries placed on the footer and header and there is when the problem occurs I have to fight for I look perfect and I placed a small scroll the page to move to the sides and I do not want that to happen and when I try to place the sidebar to place some comments widget facebook twitter etc etc .... achievement do not match the view of the site design looks quite normal but when I see in the browser everything looks weird and does not match the preview adobe muse alike which are hard to understand, but here are two videos in which I teach the problem.

Feature Requests - Adobe Reader for Android

Adobe Reader for Android is a good start, it renders well (and renders 2 pages at a time), and the UI is nice, but there are some missing features.
Please can we have the following features added in the next update;
# Bookmark support, including the ability to create and modify bookmarks.
# A method of jumping to a specific page in the document
# Ability to share the file by email
# Ability to copy text
# A method of searching text in the document
Thanks for the app, it looks promising, but needs the above features added to be a better app than Repligo Reader.

Adobe Muse y Google

Hola Amigos del Foro tengo una consulta quizas alguien sepa alguna informacion o haya tenido una experiencia similar...
Hasta antes de adobe muse... usaba flash para crear al 100% mis sitios web. En el html que soportaba mi web integra en flash yo metia "algo" de mano al codigo y me era bastante sencillo que google me ingresara a su "santo reino" jeje
Resulta que ahora con adobe muse a salido algo un poco mas "dificil" ya que bueno puse de alta mi web (pc-tablet-smartphone) en las herramientas para webmaster de google, le envié el sitemap.xml que genera adobe muse al exportar la web a html para subirla via ftp al hosting. Tambien verifique propiedad del sitio....para poder administrarlo en las herramientas para webmaster--- y resulta que aun no pasa nada....incluso enlace mi sitio con un sitio de google+ en el cual inclui mi dominio...el nombre de la empresa, un par de enlaces hacia la web.. para poder generar algo.........
lo mas raro...de todo es que me aparecen algunas secciones del sitio en el resultado de busquedas solo cuando escribo el dominio completo con el www. y el .cl incluidos.... en la barra de busqueda de google.
Escribo el nombre de la empresa sin el www. y el .cl ...y no aparece por ninguna parte en google....de hecho el dominio....tiene el nombre de la empresa.....entre el www. y el .cl
En los metadatos ya tengo incluido el nombre de la empresa....+ palabras clave...relacionadas al rubro de la empresa.....

Do you find the AdobeDPS pricing to be clear & simple & reasonable?

The information on the Single Edition and what it includes (ONLY IPAD) should be alot clearer on Adobes various websites and also within Creative Cloud and inside the ID-plugins on what actually happens to the pricetag as soon as you want to make a dumbed down iPhone edition in addition to an iPad edition.
I think there should be a possibility to purchase an iPhone/Kindle/whatever edition with a set price to the mix instead of forcing people into the expensive subscription based Professional Edition, which i guess alot of people really don´t need. I have clients that wants to test & see if there is a future in producing an iPad and an iPhone4/5-version. As the price is quite steep for a test and the fact that you also need a subscription in addition to upfront costs the choice is easy, there isnt going to be even a test...
Guess we gotta go for Mag+ or Appstudio or something else unless Adobes pricing model is going to change.
I find it really disapointing.
What do you think? Am I wrong? Is there a better solution out there? Have I misunderstood something about the renditions for iPad and iPhone into a multifolio?
I know Mag+ has a sollution and AppStudio (formerly PressRun, owned by Quark) has more reasonable pricing model.
Adobe give us some options please, so atleast people can try it out...

Thats ok John... Most advertising agencies in Norway and in the Scandinavian countries doesnt only work with "traditional" advertising. They generally do design, graphic identities, ads, social media, print&web and some also adverts for TV. Theyre not as specialized as in other countries i believe (both in a positive and negative way).
There could also be a different market sitution here. I believe theres a lot bigger market/more companies interrested in producing mags/corporate info/product catalogues than it is for making magazines containing ads with a subscription.
I hope that Adobe could introduce som sort of middle way for us wanting to produce "one off mags" for more devices than the iPad. Also considering that most people here has a smartphone with IOS or Android already, so it makes sense to tap into the growing mobile market. Some other interresting numbers from Norway
In Norway 2012 - 61% had a smartphone in the beginning of 2012 (USA 44%). Arround 79% of the people between 18-29yrs old had one in Norway (most of these people doesnt care about paper and embraces the digital counterparts). In 2011 11% had a tablet, in beginning of 2012 this number was 29%. Wheres 2013 going to end up?

If im going to predict whats going on for 2013, it will be the year where graphic designers, newspapers and magazines really will go digital on all plattforms. Print wil decline more. It will also be the year for responsive design and HTML5 (maybe DPS should produce more responsive designs?)
Sorry this wasn´t going to be this kind of discussion here on the Adobe forums (gotta get it out...). Anyway once again I think Adobe produces great tools, but as time goes by there isalot of nice solutions /alternatives to producing content where you don´t nececarily need to be a "designer" with skills in InDesign and DPS. Look at http://www.layergloss.com for instance (I haven´t tried it) but its producing apps online.
If we are going to be using InDesign and DPS in the future and be part of the digital (r)evolution we need a toolset do so, at prices/features that will let us, sooner rather than later. Otherwise it-consulting companies will take even more of these jobs away from us and perhaps lead to lost sales for Adobe (its a symbiosis going on between Adobe and designers).
I find that most people working with InDesign doesn´t really care wether they are producing for print, web or tablet, they just want to communicate something good for their clients regardless of plattform and physical state...
Lets hope they still can use a tool like InDesign which they both know and love, with DPS in the future too.

Sinds Adobe announced stop further development for Fireworks, I would like to switch to another software as soon as possible but which is the best software for digital (web and tablet app) design to optimize the quality of the design and the development afterwards?
I'm thinking about Photoshop or Indesign. What is your advice and why?
Maybe you are thinking about other softwares from Adobe suite hereabout?

Photoshop and Illustrator are much more versatile and powerful the InDesign when it comes to graphic artwork.
They represent raster and vector artwork respectiviely, with an overlap: Photoshop has some vector capability, and Illustrator has some raster capability.

Many use both. Some (often) create the basic artwork in Illustrator, then turn to Photoshop to add some raster effect not available in Illustrator.
They work quite differently so if you choose both, you will have double learning.
You should be aware that if you wish to (ultimately) buy (CS6) or subscribe to (CC) two applications, it is cheaper to buy/subscribe to a suite that has both of them, and any other application in the suite will come free.
In order to make a decision, you can download a free trial of any application and work with it for a month.
That applies to both CS6 (although only through a non Adobe website, and you have to follow the directions on the page carefully: just clicking the links will not get you there),

I downloaded Mozilla firefox to the Sony, but when I open it, and go to type in a web address, it makes me choose Google as a search engine. How can I use Firefox on the Sony tablet? I did not see it in the list of supported devices. Please help. My wife is very frustrated, because she can only open her work program using Mozilla Firefox.

However, because of the large number of Android devices (phones and tablets), not all new devices could be tested yet, but the list will continue to be updated.
I am not sure if I understand correctly your issue. When typing something in url bar, you will have at least 4 default search engines (Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, Twitter), so you can choose any of them. If you want to install more search engines, here it is a useful link for that: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html (open this link using Firefox Mobile on your tablet).

Printing web page content from android tablet

When I attempt to eprint a web page, the web address line prints just fine (with a lower line that reads:"sent from Samsung tablet"), but none of the content, even though the print preview showed everything on the page that I needed. PLEASE HELP! Is the web page content considered an attachment and if so, how do I get the attachment to print?

The best way to print the web content is to print the web page using the browser found in the HP ePrint app. Please download and install the HP ePrint Mobile app from the Google Play store. For reference I’ve included the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document.
