Hi:
I was looking at the specs on your workstation and perhaps you can try the audio and network drivers from the dc7100 CMT for vista:

    Hi, stig2013.
I would recommend the steps in the article below.  See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
If you are receiving an error message, find the exact error number that you recieved in the article below and process the steps.
iTunes: Specific update-and-restore error messages and advanced troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if you manually disconnect the device during the restore process. You can resolve this issue by using USB troubleshooting, using a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

  • Upgraded to windows 8 and blue-ray no longer works

I have a HP pavilon elite hpe 570f and i upgraded to windows 8 and the blue-ray player doesn't work any more.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Are you saying the optical drive doesn't work at all anymore, or just that it doesn't play Blu-ray discs? Windows 8 doesn't include any software that can play BD movies. Check if the drive can read a music CD, and if it can, you probably just need to download third-party BD player software to play BD movies.

  • I upgraded to windows 8 and didn't want to change to internet explorer 10... i needed to stay on IE8 for work purposes.

I upgraded to windows 8 and didn't want to change to internet explorer 10... i needed to stay on IE8 for work purposes.  what can I do about this?  tried installing IE8 on windows 8 and it says IE8 is incompatible.  Microsoft shouldn't
make decisions for the end user.  I do computer repair for a living and need my computer to act a certain way but when upgrading to Windows 8, IE10 was automatically added.

We had issues like that at my work and we used Gmail. When we used IE 8 a message would pop up saying your browser is old upgrade to a more modern browser. SO we switched our standard from IE to chrome but I still have a couple of apps that require IE.

  • I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and find that I cannot sign in to Adobe Export.  Any ideas of where to look for the problem?

Previously I downloaded a PDF file and was asked to sign in to convert.  I just upgraded to Windows 8 and since have found that the activity box still appears on the right side of the page but when I try to sign in it does not complete the connection.  I get an empty box that pops up but goes no further.  Not sure what I am doing wrong.

    Hi,
It might be possible that you have not upgraded the Adobe Reader.
Please upgraded it to the 11.0.9 version then you will be able to sign-in.

Have iPod Nano Shuffle 6th Gen.  I purchased it when I had Windows Vista.  I have since upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate .  Was fine with Vista.  Now, it keeps shutting off during the song, 3 or 4 times.  Have to press power button and then arrow to restart song.  I went to my iTunes and ran diagnostics.  Passed all until the end.  The last test had a red dot failure.  It said no iPod, iPhone, or iPad found.  Does someone know how I can correct the problem?  iTunes is always updating, so I am current.

  • SAP Server upgrade from Windows 2003 and 2008 R2 with Oracle Database

    Hi,
We need to upgrade upgrade our Windows servers that are running our SAP systems from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 R2.  We are using Microsoft Clustering for HA so an inplace upgrade seems not possible.
Someone has suggested to us that we will need to export our database and reimport it to achieve this upgrade however but I cannot understand why this would be necessary (we are not changing the underlying filesystem!).
Could someone please confirm whether a database export and import is required for this OS upgrade scenario?  I have done a bit of research but nothing has jumped out and now I need an answer to this quickly.
    We are running
    - ERP 6.0 NW 7.01 (soon to be 7.02 with ABAP stack only)
    - XI(PI) Java & ABAP
    - SRM (Java & ABAP)
    - Portal (Java only)
    - PLM (Java & ABAP)
    - BW (BI 7.0) (Java and ABAP)
    Thank You
    Felicity

    Hello,
You need to go for 'Homogeneous System Copy' to achieve this, but since almost all the systems in your landscape include the Java Stack as well - so the system copy with Export/Import is to be carried out.
Even if you are not going for file system change, but it is a Windows environment and you can't put SAP up on the target Windows (windows 2008 R2) just by copying the contents and file system from source to target. You need SAPinst to create the registry and all. - On top of that you have Java stacks involved, so for java stack you can't carry out just backup/restore method to put SAP up there on target - so you need Export/import because for java stack some OS level dump is to be collected during system copy from source and it needs to be imported on target OS.
Are you clear on this one ?
Read system copy guide once and Search in OSS for the Notes to check how to upgrade from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2.
    Thanks

    spetho2001,
You are describing what sounds like the Microsoft compatibility check tool. It runs to make sure whatever issues may occur are known before an upgrade to Windows 10. If you need a more solid solution I would suggest contacting Microsoft directly as it is their tool.

  • Hp G7 Pavillion notebook- upgrade to Windows 10 and no bass

I upgraded to Windows 10 on Friday 7.28  and now have no Bass sounds .I listen a lot using Itunes. It isnt Itunes because all the adjustments in the equalizer work.I tried t update drivers and it saiys the newest drivers are in the system. My laptopis late 2012. Partz

I have the same issue. Tried it on 3 Hp laptops in our office of varying ages. Tried all of the processes listed above too but to no avail. I even restored 8.1 and updated all drivers for network and chipset etc and still nothing. Interestingly, although the wireless and ethernet hardware shows up in the device manager, there are no connections in the Network Connection Centre. Very frustrating!!

  • Upgraded to WIndows 7 and now...

I have upgraded one of my PC's to windows 7. My problem is that songs that I have had album art for doesn't have it and when I search for it it can't find it. I click on get info and everything is grayed out I can't make artist or song changes and the TAB that says artwork is missing. How do I fix this? This has never happened to me before. Please anyone Thank you in advance!

I have FrameMakerV 9.0p237, Adobe Acrobat ProV9.4.4 and Adobe Distiller V9.4.2220.  I installed FrameMaker again from a CD once I upgraded to Windows 7. I did not move my fonts to the same location on the new system vs. the old system. I would not think that doing this is necessary.
I opened a brand new file in FM and typed a couple of words, then tried to create a PDF of it by using File --> Save As PDF. I got the same error message. However, when I selected File --> Print, selected the PDF printer and checked Generate Acrobat Data, it worked. I always used to PDF files by selecting  File --> Save As PDF. I'm not sure why that does not work anymore. However, since I can get a PDF file by selecting the PDF print option, that is the way I will do it from now on.
If anyone knows why the other option does not work, let me know. Thanks!

  • HELP! In middle of upgrade to windows 8 and keyboard/trackpad stopped working!

Hey all, new mac user here. Just bought a new macbook air 13" 2014 model. I succedded in installing windows 7 via bootcamp via a usb drive and was in the middle of installing a downloadable windows 8 upgrade (at a preferences page when they ask you to select your favorite color) when my macbook's keyboard/trackpad stopped functioning. I plugged in a usb mouse and that would not work either. I have absolutely no clue as to what to do next. If I had to install some driver or thing please tell me how to cancel the windows 8 install and return to windows 7. Thanks for all your help strangers

I was not able to find any drivers specifically for the web cam. I did find software to use the camera, but that was all I could find.
However, I do have a question about the Windows 8 upgrade process that was used.
Did you do an in-place upgrade or a clean install of Windows 8?
Go back to device manager. Is there anything here at all in an other category indicating it is having some type of an issue?
There are certain events that will need to happen.
Go to the start screen and search for uninstall a program. Select this option in the settings category.
This should take you to the Desktop app and show the familiar uninstall a program feature from Windows 7.
Select add/remove Windows Components on the left.
Is Framework 3.5 checked here? If not, enable this and install it.
Then, install the HP framework which is needed for some HP programs. This is a Windows 7 installation, but it should go through.
    http://goo.gl/jDI7X
Once that is finished, reboot the system.
    Let me know what happens.

  • Upgrading to Windows 7 and other questions answered.

After reading a few posts around the forum, I decided to add a little to the discussions. First, if you bought a computer from HP and didnt qualify for an upgrade, and still want windows 7, your best bet is to go OEM. OEM software is the same as retail except you dont get all the fancy packaging etc.
and you get it at a steep discount as well, newegg is my first choice, and where I bought Vista when it came out. You will obviously need to back up
all your software and install from scratch (my choice as it lessens future hassles). Second is the driver/software issue, most drivers and software
should be covered when 7 is made available to the public (October 22) i cant vouch for how it works as I dont like the bloat that manufacturers add
when they put "their" software on a computer...so any help and experience others have had most likely can be found here. If you have a touchscreen
enabled computer, then 7 is your hook-up!...it has way better touch support then Vista ever did, just install your drivers and go!. To reiterate my first
point, it is better to back-up, re-format and reinstall from scratch than is is to upgrade, the system will be more responsive, have less clutter left
behind, and generally behave better than when you first bought it (simply because of the bloat that all that extra software is gone). Put your favorite
programs on and you should be go to go. If anyone needs help dont hesitate to ask me.

My favorite part is how you complain about bloatware but encourage people to buy OEM software.

  • Windows 7 In Place Upgrade Pre-Windows boot and Graphics issue Alienware M17x

So I'm having multiple issues here.  The first issue surfaced immediately after I removed and reinserted my graphics card.  For reference The computer in question is an Alienware M17XR3 with an AMD 6870m.  Anyhow, The issue I had then was
that my built in display showed a black screen (would see a quick flicker of what was supposed to be on it when changing display settings but then a black screen) after Windows botted up.  I could use an external monitor with no problem, and safe mode
or Windows without graphics drivers allowed everything to run normally.  The on screen display also works normally on boot screens or boot disks such as the windows install disk and Hyrens boot CD.  I am assuming my graphics card is shot.  Either
that or my motherboard.  Input on this is greatly appreciated.  I do intend to upgrade it myself to a 6970m, but I won't have the money until another 1 or 2 paychecks roll around, and I woulld like to be able to use the on-screen display sooner than
    that.
Anyhow, to ensure that it is a hardware issue, rather than a software issue, I cleaned old drivers then installed drivers I knew were fully functional.  I did this several times with several driver versions.  Nothing yielded any results.  I
do not wish to do aclean install unless absolutely necessary or at least not until after the weekend, when I will have time to reinstall my 300+programs, games, themes, mods, etc.  I am not opposed to doing this but I need the computer tonight and
do not have time to do all that before then.  I'll be using it with an external display tonight, so the graphics issue can wait, however, to test with a clean install, I was using Aomei Partition Assistant to break off some free space as a second partition
on which I could install a second Windows 7 installation for testing purposes.  I have done this multiple times before.  Unfortunatly, on 4.5 hours of sleep and having been up for about 18 hours straight I wasn't thinking and forgot to plug my laptop
in.  It lost power during the process and the Windows installation is now totally glitched.  I've tried several fixes all to no avail and would prefer to avoid a clean install until after the weekend.
In Windows XP, I could boot from the install disk and perform a repair install, similar to the Windows 7 upgrade/in place upgrade.  I would like to do this, but seeing as I cannot access the Windows environment, I'm in a bit of a jam.  I could
run that program again from mini Windows XP (Hyren's Boot CD) I believe and create the second partition and dual boot.  My question is, can I drop the new Windows folder over the old one or do something similar to avoid losing my programs and files?  Thanks

    Hi,
Based on my knowledge, we cannot just copy the windows folder to make programs work in the new operating system.
    Hope it helps.
