HP Z400 600W PSU, reduce the noise?

Hello, i bought the 600W psu a few months ago because i wanted to have a great graphic card.
But i think the noise from the computer is way to loud. Im verry sure its the PSU since the 475W version was verry quiet when i tried it.
Can i do anything to reduce the noise from this thing? Open it, replace the fan to a better one perhaps?
I know there are some people who have managed to get a ATX PSU into their HP z400 using a "HP Z400 PSU to standard atx adaptor" but i dont really know  how to build a cable like that... Its probably easy but i have no knowledge about things like this.

If anyone could buid this cable for me and i could buy it i would really appreciate it! Becuase then i could use whatever ATX PSU out there?

  • How can i reduce the noise on this video?

I have used Keylight to key some chromokey footage onto a white background.
However, I still have a lot of noise on the video, by this I mean fuzzyness, instead of good rich colors - you can see for yourself if you download a sample of the file which I have linked to here:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MmBGI-JUMk
Obviously the actual file has proper dimensions unlike the YouTube example! This example also doesn't show the noise quite as well as the actual Flash file, it's a little more intense than it looks here.
How can I make the video fuller in color, to reduce the noise....?
    Thanks.

The noise looks like genuine camera noise from poor lighting with ramped up sensor sensitivity. Therefore, as a start, I'd run the clip through a pre-comp and use the Remove Grain effect or tools like RevisionFX' DE:Noise, Red Giant's Key Correct Pro and so on. If it's DV/ HDV or similar, some de-blocking by ways of similar tools is also recommended. This should already improve matters notably. Then, as Sébastien said, study the super tight junk matte tutorial and apply the technique to your footage. The less pixels to key, the more efficiently the keyer can expand its range on the remaining ones. If you then still experience jaggy/ noisy edges a second application of the aforementioend plug-ins might do the trick. Other options include tools like Twixtor, SmoothKit, RSMB, RE:Fill etc. to mend holes and smear gaps. also, since the person is wearing dar clothes, the old trick of using a dark Inner Glow might also be applicable.

  • How to reduce the noise in PCIe-6321 acquisition, to optimize wiring.

    Hi all,
I want to optimize my wiring in term of noise reduction. I use a DAQ PCIe-6321 in my application. I want to acquire an analog signal from a sensor (+/- 4 Volts, resolution of 2 mV, output impedance of 100 ohms) using the DAQ. The frequency of the signal is below 2 kHz. My first question is about the most suitable cable to use (shielded, twisted, etc.)? What is also the best suitable input configuration to choose in Labview (differential, RSE or NRSE)?
Moreover, after processing of this data under Labview, I want to power an audio power amplifier (input impedance equal to 10 kohms) using the analog output of the DAQ. What is the most suitable cable to use to reduce the noise? Are there any other tips to optimize the wiring?
Thank you for your help and suggestions!

    Hi guys,
I know that it is a bit late to reply but that is the perfect topic for what I am looking for!
I am currently working with acquisition systems using either PCI-6221 or PCIe-6321. Those systems are exactly the same but the results are different (see picture enclosed). We can see spikes and noise with the PCIe-6321 while we have the same conditions of measurements.
    Here is the NI setup:
    - PCI-6221 + connector block CB-68LP + cable SHC68-68-EPM
    - PCIe-6321 + connector block SCB-68A + cable SHC68-68-EPM
In one of the system equipped with PCIe-6321, I replaced all the devices like cables, detectors, motors and it doesn’t change anything. I also swapped the computer for one equipped with PCI-6221 and it works fine. It means that the problem really comes from the acquisition card.
So my question is: why is there such a difference between those models? Do I need to change the configuration in the card?
    Thanks in advance.

  • I'd like to know how I can acquire a waveform on a loop and do a circular buffer with this waveforms I will acquire, cause I want to reduce the noise.

I'm using trigger for this data acquisition.

    deco,
If you really want a circular buffer, how much data do you want it to hold? One acquisition? Two? Three? Once this is decided, you will need to create the waveform and then continuously strip the old data out and place the new data in. This will add a bit of overhead to your VI.
There are also software noise filters in LabVIEW that you can use to reduce the noise in your signal.
Lastly, if there is a lot of noise, you may want to consider an SCXI system which will filter out most of the noise as the data is being acquired.

  • Is there any software out there to reduce the noise on a quicktime movie ?

    Hello,
I have a quicktime movie which i imported from my camcorder, and it is very grainy.
So like is there a application that can reduce it ?

Yes, you have lots of alternatives.
    1.  Got to somewhere like Google docs and create a comment and feedback form, that can be inserted onto your site via the html snippet.  You can also take a look at http://www.jotform.com.  Whenever someone completes the form, you will be e-mailed with all the info.
    2.  Use a comment system like http://www.intensedebate.com.  Very good and the comments will be displayed on your site and you will be e-mailed when someone comments and you are able to accept it or reject it in this way.
    3.  Go and create a blog elsewhere, like http://wordpress.com or if you have hosting, then try http://wordpress.org.  You can load this on your server with no problem and then create comments here, so in your iWeb site you either create a link to your blog or you can display your blog as an iframe in your iWeb site using iframe code.
    4.  As far as hit counters go - there are many.  Just do a Google search for hit counters - http://www.hitcounterexpert.com and there are hundreds more.
Perhaps Apple keep blog comments and hit counter as MobileMe only to encourage people to use MobileMe rather than external servers.  However, we can only speculate on that!

  • When noise reduction is lifted and stamped, is the noise print remembered?

let's say i have a bunch of clips in a multitrack project and individually noise reduce some of the clips using a unique noise print for each one. if i now want to use the noise reduction settings for one of the clips (but not the last one that i noise reduced) to lift and stamp onto another clip, does the lift and stamp tool remember the noise print that i used to reduce the noise in that clip and use it for the stamped clip? it seems like when i set a new noise print, it overwrites the previous one i had set. i was just making sure that when i select a clip to lift noise reduction from that was not the last clip i noise reduced, it doesn't use the noise print that is "current" from whatever clip i reduced last.

  • Enhancing voices, reducing background noise

I am using a HD camcorder to record people at work in an office environment for a research project I am undertaking. I am using Final Cut Express to edit and enhance the raw AVCHD stream, and in particular the quality of the audio.
Does anyone have any useful tips for enhancing the audio within Final Cut Express (in particular the best audio filters and settings to use). I want to 'bring out' the voices of those being filmed, whilst reducing the background noise from the office (doors slamming, clicking of mice, rustling of paper, etc) in order to hear more clearly what is being said.
    Any tip gratefully received!

I don't think anyone can tell you exactly which filters and what settings to use as it all depends on your particular noise.
Try the EQ filters and experiment raising and lowering the different sliders to see if you can accentuate the voices and reduce the noise ........ though very often little can be achieved.
Your best bet would be to record the voices with tie-clip microphones (especially wireless ones) as that would give you near perfect audio.

  • Reduce Audio Noise. How ?

    Hello,
I have a audio need some filters to reduce the noise on it the sample is below any suggestion how can i do that. please ?!
    Sample:
    http://www.multiup.org/download/018eb15e17cba2e41791ea812c760e8b/01.mp3
    Regards,

I couldn't listen to your file because the upload site you used is full of pop ups and  wants me to install some extra software--something I'm not willing to do unless I know a lot more about it.  You might want to consider using something like box.net.
However, as a generic answer, in Audition have a look under Effects/Noise Reduction & Restoration.
Basically, you find a section of pure noise (i.e. no useful recording going on) and capture a noise print.  Then you select the whole file, adjust the amount of noise reduction to a compromise between artefacts and how quiet you go then run the process.  FYI, best results are often obtained by doing  several subtle passes rather than trying for dead quiet all at once.
However, the above implies electronic hiss/noise.  Your options are different/more limited if you're talking about trucks driving by outside or something.

    Nope. Usual suspects.
And whether you tried a clean install instead (backup and erase) and then use MA to import

  • HELP! "Reduce background noise" changes from audio clip to clip, even though the percentage is the SAME. At my wit's end...

I am working on a lengthy editing project and am near tears at this point. Any and all advice would be deeply appreciated.
I am using  a2012 MacBook Pro running Mavericks (10.9.5) and iMovie 10. I have been using the "reduce background noise" feature in iMovie 10, with movies where audio is detached, and I have a series of clips stitched together (the result of editing, or adding voiceovers). I'll add 4% reduce to the first clip, and it sounds great. I do the same to the second clip and it sounds as though the setting is at 100% — even if it's at 0%. In other words, the audio is really distorted.
I have tried relaunching iMovie and the MacBook itself, to no avail. The first clip is fine, all those that follow sound horrible, no matter how I change the setting.
Again, any and all advice or suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks!

I'm not sure if anyone is going to read or respond to my plea, but just in case, I thought I'd better update.  I went into our local Verizon store today and explained my problems.  I was nervous to do so because I didn't purchase my phone there and didn't know if they'd refuse to help based on that fact.  The local store of a competing carrier will not help you if your phone wasn't purchased in their store.
What I found out was that my method for pulling the battery was wrong.  I didn't realize the phone needed to be turned on when you did that.  I did it the correct way and now most of my problems are gone.  The one problem it is still having is not being able to update from 2.2.1

  • Will a 600W psu be enough for a gtx 260 and an amd quad-core 9950?

I plan to upgrade my 2 year old 8600GT gpus in sli with an MSI GTX 260. Currently, I'm using a 600W power supply from Rosewill with a combined rating of 40A on its 12v 2 X 12v rails. I read that the power requirements of a GTX 260 is a minimum of 500W based upon an Intel Core 2 setup; I was hoping to pair my gpu with a 9950 Black Edition. From my psu specs the maximum output is 585W; I'm currently using an amd 5000+ with 65W. I plan to overclock mainly the cpu and leave the settings on the gpu as is. I counted the difference of 75W if I replaced my cpu with the quad-core; if I added the differece with the minimum requirements of the gpu it totalled 575W? Is this cutting it too close; I really don't want to purchase another psu since it's only 5 months old? What are your recommendations? On the side note I plan to add a second hard-drive. • How can I reduce wind noise in Final Cut Pro X?

The footage has been shot.  I used a Sony HDR-SR12 for the footage.  We were shooting outside in what was almost a wind tunnel it seemed.
I have only just started into FCPx with no other experience.  The only other production software I have is Garage Band.  We do not have the funds for any other software, but I do have a deadline with this episode.  Reshooting is not an option.  We have taken steps to help for the next episode with getting a wind screen for the mic.
What are some steps I can take to reduce/remove the wind noise within FCPx?  If I have to open the audio track in GarageBand to equalize it out, I can, but again, would need to know a few pointers on how to seperate the audio for GB and then edit the noise down.
Anything at this point would be helpfull.

The script provided by MPEG Streamclip worked for me.
But there is an alternate way, which is basically doing by hand what the script does.
The actual component that is needed is stored inside an archive file in the inside the package. This file needs to be copied to a place where the system can see it.
Here are detailed instructions. Be sure you fully understand before putting any files in the Library folders, as described below. No guarantees, but if followed correctly I believe this works.
    1) Double-click the .dmg file.
    2) Inside there are two folders. Open the one that says "For Quicktime 6.4 or later..."
    3) Control-click the QuickTimeMPEG32.pkg and choose "Show Package Contents".
    4) Copy the file "Archive.pax.gz" somewhere else on your mac - I will use the Desktop as an example.
    5) Double click the copy of "Archive.pax.gz" on your desktop. It will expand and create a folder on the desktop called "System".
    6) Inside the folder called "System" is a folder "Library" and then "Quicktime", with a single file called "QuickTimeMPEG2.component".
This is the file that MPEG Streamclip needs!
    7) I suggest you place this file in your own user's Library. To do this, hold down the option key and select Library from the Go menu in the Finder. There, if it does not exist already, create a folder "QuickTime" and copy the component there. This should work.
Note: the script actually places the component in a different location - one which I think should not be messed with (inside /System/Library).
I think it should work in the user's Library, but if not I would put in /Library (the Library at the root of the drive) before trying the location above.

  • Trying to turn on the noise canceling for iphone 5c

I am having trouble with my hand free system in my CRV and I was told there is a noise canceling selection in the settings but I am not seeing it. I need to turn this feature on so I can reduce the magnified noise coming through my hands free system. I have an iphone 5c

I'm having a problem with echoing, and see where people suggest turning off Noise Cancellation, but that option does not appear in my Settings menu.  I go to Settings>General>Accessibility> but there is no Phone Noise Cancellation.
Where is it?  Why is it not in my menu?
    iphone 5c, ios 8.a.2 (12B440)
Will turning this off stop the echoing I hear of myself when I am talking on a call?
