Hp2015 define printer orientation and 'fit to paper'

i am trying to create a printer that only does 1 thing.  printer landscape and fit the text to the page no matter what.
i know that may not seem practical but it will be used to only print 1 report which is slightly bigger than a page landscape at 8 pt font.  6 pt is too small.  i works wonderfully when i choose the printer go thru the customizing for it, even save a quick set task named for the report.  when i print it, it looks good.
but, even after saving the parameters, the next time i print 'default' to the printer some my quickset task info is gone and it returns to the defaults for the hp2015.  i have thought of deleting all the quick sets except the one i made, but it wont let me delete the 'default' settings.
anyone know how i could accomplish this?
thanks.  jim

  • Print orientation error when customizing paper size or default A4 size.

    Hi,
    I had set my report print with landscape orientation, it works well in print preview and export to pdf file.
    but when I do print to printer, the page orientation was changed.
    I got the change rule about the issue, when you customizing page size, the print orientation depends on the width and height. if page width is greater than height, the page will be print in landscape orientation, even I specified it print with portrait mode.
    Did someone get the same issue as mine? How could I solve it.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    This is CR's default setting. It is not error but system behavior.

  • How to define print size and paper

    I designed an invitation in Pages and I want to print it on Staples inkjet notecard paper. There is 2 notecards to a page.
    How do I define in Pages that I am using Staples or Avery notecard paper #.......
    so it knows to print 2 notecards to a page and how to place them.
    Thanks
    -Jeff (frustrated) in NYC

    Hi Jeff,
    I've tried the "thank you" template to check this out, hope it's the same set up - (two copies per page), as you.
    Go > print
    below "pre-sets" (again my printer)
    click on any arrow to open menu
    select "layout"
    select two copies per page - also when here, other variables
    There is, in my printer menu, (below pre-sets) a "paper handling" selection which lets me choose which paper size to print on.
    Hope it's some help,
    Robert

  • How do I  save and re-use a fillable form once I have created it? It is a form i will use for multiple medcial clients I see, then print out and put in paper chart, and then do it again for another patient. - I just got Acrobat XI

    I've created a fillable form from a Word document, but how do I save and re-use a a fillable form once I have created it? It is a form I will use for multiple medical patients, printing out the filled in form to put in paper chart (no need to save filled out form), and then fill blank form again for another patient? - I just got acrobat X

    Thanks!
    That should also save the blank form for future re-use, right.?
    Can I also file the blank form in the file system, and then retrieve it as a blank form when I have a next patient need for it?
    Thanks

  • Print Orientation and Rotated Pages

    Adobe Reader 8 and 9 have lost a feature that Adobe Reader 7 performs--I am hoping that someone can tell me I am wrong, though.
    In AR7, if I print a 14" page on 11" paper then print at actual size, I get the top 11" of the page. If instead I rotate the page 180 degrees and print I get the bottom 11" of the page. With AR8 and AR9, rotated or not I get the top 11" of the page.
    Searching the forum I saw one post mention that one needs to rotate the page rather than the view but I find no way to this in AR9; I suspect the writer was talking about Acrobat or other tool.
    Is there a way to do this just with the Reader?

    As I suspected, but that is not really my question. Is there a way to do what I described with just the Reader? If not, I guess I will have to stick with Reader version 7...

  • How do I print multiple PDFs AND fit them to my paper size?

    Hi,
    I'm using a 24 inch wide plotter with roll paper. I want to be able to print multiple PDFs  AND fit them to a specified paper size. I can print one page and fit it to the paper, but I can't do it with multiple PDFs.
    For example, I have two PDFs that are only 8x8 inches. I want to print them side by side on a 24 inch x 12 inch page size and fit them to size and then FIT them to the page size so the end result will be 2 PDFs printing at 12 x 12 side by side.
    I can't seem to be able to do this. I'm sure I was able to do this using earlier versions. As it is, I have to print one at a time and waste half of my roll paper size.
    Any help?
    Adobe Acrobat Pro, Windows 7 Proffesional, HP Designjet 111 roll fed plotter.
    Thanks

  • Can we set Print Quality and Page 'Fit in to paper' thrue AS

    Hi All,
    while taking Movieclip printout thru actionscipt, whatever text i used inside the Movieclip is get blurred. Moreover the print is not fit into the paper size (A4 size used).
    Is there any setting available to change resolution while its get convert to bitmap and also is there any option to set "fit in to the paper size"
    Here i am using this...
    import flash.display.BitmapData;
    var newBitmap:BitmapData = new BitmapData(myMC._width, myMC._height);
    var tempMC:MovieClip = this;
    var printFC:PrintJob = new PrintJob();
    newBitmap.draw(myMC);
    tempMC.createEmptyMovieClip("printMC", 1);
    printMC.attachBitmap(newBitmap, 1);
    printFC.start();
    printFC.addPage(printMC, null, {printAsBitmap:true});
    printFC.send();

    I found the solution form a website !!!
    I missed out to mention the parameter while attaching bitmap.
    The correct code is...
    printMC.attachBitmap(newBitmap, 1, "auto", true);
    "auto" is for pixelSnapping
    true is for smoothing

  • How to batch print different orientations and paper sizes?

    Is there a way to batch print a group of exposures that differ in either orientation (Portrait or Landscape) or print size (4 X 6 and 8 X 10) or both orientation and print size?  I've not been able to find instructions on how do batch print.

  • Printing landscape and portrait orientations in LR

    I have usually been printing from Qimage or QTR for my black and white, despite having heard good things about LR's print module.
    This afternoon I thought I would give LR a whirl at printing. I had a series of 4 photos (3 portrait orientation, 1 landscape) selected which I wanted to print one per page. In Print they all appeared oriented in the most logical fashion as I paged through the 4 pages (i.e. the longest dimension of the image ran down the longest dimension of the paper).
    I then selected my profile for my paper and hit Print... to go into my printer settings (Epson 3800) for that paper. These latter settings exist for both landscape and portrait orientations of my papers. As I had both landscape and portrait images I wished to print and the settings for the printer driver dialog are identical for both apart from the media orientation, I chose the landscape to get a quick feedback on whether LR would be able to handle a mixed bag of portrait and landscape images.
    As I feared, my first print (which was an image in portrait orientation) came out with the long axis of the image squeezed into the short dimension of the paper....so LR saw the choice I had made of a landscape orientation within the printer driver as a hard and fixed choice. Does this mean one can only do print runs of either portrait or landscape oriented images in LR and never combine the two?
    I realize there may be an easy answer to this as I've really not used LR for printing till now.
    Thanks for input,
    Dave M

    Thanks DJ-G....I can't swear but I am almost positive I had Rotate to Fit checked....indeed that would explain why when paging through the 4 pages in LR they were rotated to fit in the correct orientation. I'll check again. I do understand with Custom Package etc. we can print landscape and portrait when printing multiple images on the same page but my specific concern is printing one image per page and whether LR can handle a series of such prints in one print job if the images are a mix of landscape and portrait orientations.

  • How do I set a default page size, orientation, and printer for a particular document in Pages?

    I have a simple label document in Pages which I print to my label printer. The label is 1.49 x 3.47 inches and needs to print in Landscape, and it needs to print to my Dymo label printer. How do I set up the Page Setup or Print Setup so it defaults to this document size, orientation, and printer, every time, without me having to manually enter those settings every time?

    Thank you for your reply. However, I could not get Templates to work correctly for me.  Following your instructions, I opened my document, opened Page Setup, set the printer, paper size, orientation, and printed a copy to make sure it was right. Then I re-opened Page Setup to verify that the settings were still correct. Then I saved the document as a Template. Then I found my template in Pages, opened the template, and tried to print. The first thing I noticed was that the template did not remember my printer. Then I set the printer, and printed, but I found that the template also did not remember the page size or the document orientation. So, did I miss a step here? Lion 10.7.5 and Mac Mini.

  • How to print legal and letter pages from one pdf on a dual paper printer?

    Hello,
    How do I print one pdf which includes both legal and letter sized pages on the respective sized paper?
    I purchased Brothers' HL-5470DWT dual paper printer for this specific task. The printer is configured to recognize the second tray (although the paper size is undetermined...) and the print setting includes setting the "Scaling" to "Fit to Paper Size".
    Of course, the box is checked for "Choose paper source for pdf page size".
    I should be able to configure my print settings and the printer should determine whether to print on legal or letter sized paper. I am using Windows XP sp3 and Adobe Reader 9.5 because I learned that Adobe Reader X was not compatible with dual paper printers. Brother's help desk referred me to Adobe...  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Have you attempted without including the option "Fit to Paper Size"; set scaling to None.

  • 10.8 Printer Orientation Problem (Landscape and Portrait)

    I recently upgraded from 10.6 to 10.8 and am using a DS40 Dye Sub printer for event green screen photography.  The software is Photokey 5 pro.  The printer orientation worked fine with 10.6 providing landscape orientation prints perfectly.  With 10.8 I have to select the opposite orientation i.e. select portrait to obtain a correctly printed landscape orientated print and vice versa.  I then try to save the orientation, even though it is opposite as a preset so that I don't have to keep changing it for each print, and it won't save. It keep defaulting back to landscape and producing a portrait print.
    Any help would be appreciated.  Like I said I can live with an opposite orientation work around, however, if it won't save it is very time consuming to have to make the change for each print especially at an event where I am printing 100's of photos.
    Thank you!!!

    Matt,
    DNP corporation just released the driver for 10.8.  I have been waiting for months.  The driver for 10.6 worked fine on my friends mac book unfortunately I had already updated to 10.8 and had to wait for the printer driver release. I have wasted more paper trying every possible configuration both for the printer driver in Photokey 5 pro page setup.  Very frustrating when it everything worked fine prior to 10.8.  Any thoughts?

  • Selected print size will not fit current paper size

    I am new to iPhoto and I keep getting the following message when I try to print at home - "selected print size will not fit current paper size" - I don't understand this. I am printing to 4x6 photo paper. I have chose 4x6 under paper and I have chosen 4x6 under print. It seems to want to fit the photo horizontally instead of vertically - I can work around this by choosing to print 3x5 onto 4x6 paper, but then the border is quite large.
    I hope this makes sense.
    Thanks for any help regarding this issue.

    Does your printer driver support 4x6 borderless printing?
    You have to make sure your printer has a borderless driver ( the Epsons have two, a regular and one with Borderless-sheet feeder in the title and both must be installed and selectable under the Printer menu. If it's a Canon then you must be sure you select 4x6 borderless under the Paper size. Here's a step by step workflow you can try:
    Steps for printing 4 x 6 prints from iPhoto:
    crop the photo to 4 x 6 in iPhoto.
    select the picture you want to print and type Command-P.
    *click on the Advanced button in iPhoto's print pane.
    *select your Printer and Presets
    *select "Paper Handling" in the Copies & Pages menu.
    *in the Destination Paper Size section select "Scale to fit paper size: and select the paper size in the menu.
    *click on the Standard button.
    in the iPhoto print pane select your printer, Presets and Paper size.
    select Standard Prints under Style.
    select print size in the Size menu and check the "One photo per page: checkbox.
    click on the Print button
    *These steps may be redundant but might correct those situations where the paper size selected in the iPhoto print pane does not seem to take.
    What printer do you have?

  • IPad printing fit to paper?

    I printed a pdf from iPad uasing airprint, and it came out of the printer a 4x6 image instead of fitting to paper 8.5x11. I couldn't find any adjustments that can be had to fit to paper. I checked the printer and the iPad. Is there another way to fill the paper or this is the way it prints, of which renders it pretty useless because the forms are too small.

    If you are using HP, you can use AIO Remote to adjust image size.
