HP276dw doesn't number pages automatically when scanning from glass

When scanning from glass it doesn't number pages automatically. It shows a dialog asking for the filename and when the ok button is clicked it asks if it's ok to overwrite the previous file.
When scanning from ADF or when scanning is started from MPF's panel the automatic page numbering is working fine.
Is there any configuration to resolve this issue? It's really annoying having to edit file number manually.

Disk Utility in recovery partition doesn't see errors present when scanning from 10.8.3

I'm running Disk Utility and finding some errors (Unable to bootstrap transaction group XXXX: inconsistent crosscheck, No valid commit checkpoint found, The volume XXXX was found corrupt and needs to be repaired, Incomplete or inconsistent CoreStorage Physical Volume set)
When I reboot into the recovery partition and try to fix these errors, the disk checks out fine. Back in 10.8.3, I get the same errors. Any ideas?

Yes, I chose the Repair Disk option from the Recovery Partition Disk Utility. This is a FileVault encrypted drive, and I've entered in the password to unlock the disk. From the Recovery Partition, Disk Utility reports no errors during Verify or Repair (same with Disk Permissions).
Once back in OS X 10.8.3, all the errors that I described previously show up in Disk Utility. It can't be unmounted since it's my startup disk, so I'm stuck not being able to fix things.

If you were to upgrade to InDesign CS5 or CS5.5 and if you exported as Adobe PDF (Interactive), you could set the View settings for Page Layout and Zoom.
While, as Jongware points out, its possible for individual users to override that option (Preferences > Page Display > Default Layout and Zoom), the number who will actually do that is actually very tiny.

J’ai acheté l’upgrade pour LR 5 et je n’ai jamais pu installer la version définitive avec ce n° de série.Ce n° de série n'est pas valide. La durée version d’essai est terminée et donc je dois retourner à LR 4 pour continuer à travailler ? Pourquoi cela ne fonctionne pas?

n° IEE2014000174985 mais je n'ai pas de trace d'un nouveau n° de série. Il n'est pas sur la facture, ni dans le logiciel?

iPhone and iPad use a different way of accessing the server.
I don't know the exact details, but we are using Zarafa instead of Exchange and have the same problem:
iPhone and the likes can connect to Zarafas z-push interface, which is some identical interface to the native Exchange interface, while the desktop e-mail application tries to interface with the web front end (via http) of the server.
These are completely different setups and it depends on the actual installation of the server to get this going.
So, you will most likely need different access parameters for the desktop - and the web mail feature has to be enabled on the Exchange server.
In my opinion using the web mail interface is just silly. On the other hand, the native protocol has less features comparedto the web front end, so you are somehow stuck with sins of the past.

While reading PDF document using Speak Screen option, iBooks doesn't turn pages automatically

I have been using the speak screen option in iOS 8 to read books and pdf documents in iBooks app. iBooks app turned pages automatically and kept on reading the screen till i updated my phone to iOS8.3. Now, the app stops reading the screen once the page is completed. I have to stop my vehicle, unlock phone, open iBooks app, swipe down with two fingers. It's irritating.
Earlier, I have read dozens of books and pdf documents using this function while doing exercise or routine tasks. now it's not possible unless someone helps.

Unfortunately, I am having precisely the same issue since updating to iOS 8.3 with my iPhone 5s.
I just filled out a bug report here > https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html, which I've often read on these forums is the best way to get some resolution. I don't know if you read the list of "fixes" for 8.3 or not (here: iOS 8.3), but, it includes the following:
"Fixes an issue in Speak Screen where speech will not start again after pausing"
So...apparently, in fixing THAT problem, they broke something else. At least for some of us...
<Note to self: WAIT even longer than usual to do updates, read about bugs first.>

Acrobat 8.3.1 jams when scanning from HP M1212nf MFP

Using Acrobat 8.3.1 w/ OS 10.6.8 and scanning from an HP M1212nf MFP leaves Acrobat unable to process scan.
Even though Acrobat recognizes the scanner, it jams after scanning, and I need to force quit.
As an aside, this scanner is possibly the most cheaply made HP device I have ever owned, and the scan interface is terrible. So basically, I am on the verge of tossing it into the e-waste. In other words, the value of this MFP is less than the value of it as waste. (<$0)

Inconsistant page sizes when converting from word to pdf

My word file has A4 sized pages and A3 sized pages.
When I convert them to PDF, the content on the A3 pages get cut off.
I want to keep the 2 different sized pages in my document.
How can I fix this?

To maintain links you have to use the PDFMaker plugin. I'm guessing it's
not available for your combination of Office and Acrobat, so you're out of
luck.

Forcing Page 0 when moving from article to article

I'm just getting started with these new tools.
I have a simple folio with two articles. The 2nd one has two pages. When I leave the 2nd article from page 2 and return again I want that article to force the viewer page to the first page of that article (section).
The way it works now, if you leave page 0, and navigate down, you end up back on that page when you return.

Change folder that scanner saves to when scanning from printer

Just got an OfficeJet 8600 all in one, and it appears that when you use the scan button on the printer's control panel to scan, by default it saves the files into your My Documents folder. Is there any way to change where it saves to? I'd prefer if it would save to my Scans folder that is inside My Documents, but dont see an option anywhere to change that, so not sure if that is even configurable.

Hello rr2222, On my OJ 8600 Pro Plus setup - yes, the two "destinations" ... scan from printer and scan from PC ... become aligned to the same folder, once the destination folder has been setup just once using the (Windows) Control Panel icon. Although I need to take a slightly different 'path' through my HP-installed Control Panel shortcut from that described by ShlomiL in order to find my "Scan dialog", once I've set a preferred "Save location" for each of the "Scan to JPEG" or "Scan to PDF" etc. options (using the 'Advanced' link that's alongside them on my Scan dialog), back at my printer I can now choose "Scan" then "Computer" then [one of my named PCs on the list] ... and I can then select one of the same "Scan to JPEG" or "Scan to PDF" etc. options - and the scanned file pops up in my chosen folder on my PC. New HP office jet 5745 won't copy or scan from glass

Brand new officejet 5745 won't copy or scan anything from the glass. I insert paper, choose copy and the document feeder from above runs, lightbar doesn't move and it produces a blank page. When trying to scan from computer, I get an error message to insert document into document feeder. Help.

I understand that the Officejet 5745 will only attempt to scan or copy from the ADF. There could be some packing material or tape triggering the sensor in the ADF. Open the ADF and look for anything that got missed.
If it is clear, load a plain piece of paper into the ADf and tell it to copy. When the paper is fed through and done copying, ensure that there is not message on the screen that an original is loaded. If this is displayed, remove the power from the back of the printer to reset the memory.
Ensure the printer is connected to a wall outlet directly and then connect the power back to the printer. If the there is no message, try copying from the glass.

Crystal Report 2008 doesn't set page size when export to excel file

I am using Crystal Report 2008 Developer edition.
At Crystal report design time setting the below page setup:
Page Options -
to A3(297X420 mm)
Orientation --- Landscape
and using the following code in .net (c#)
I am using below format options to export in excel in .net 2005

This is not happening in development environment.It is setting the paper size anf paper orientation properly.

Change default page size when scanning to pdf

I've been trying to create a pdf from my scanner using acrobat pro X.
The document is A4, but the scanned document appears to be in 'Letter' format- and thus the bottom of the document is cut off. I've tried in vain to find any settings to change this. The problem is not with the scanner, which works fine without Acrobat. Any help, please?

PS: Since my edit timed out, I was going to add speculation of a way in
ColorSync to enable or make Filters which could be used to save settings,
at least for color and printer matching schemes, this is supported in PDFs.
Not sure where I could take up where I left off to write a PS to my own post;
since I had a few links to documents I found by doing some research reading.
These may be related, but perhaps not directly enough to be of help.

Doesn't load pages automatically

i've been using Chrome since FF 12 (got tired of it constantly crashing); trying 16 now.
seems stable enough, BUT......
with Chrome, i had it set as the default browser, a shortcut in the startup menu, and set to open 5 different tabs at startup (that it loads while i go outside to have a smoke in the morning after i turn the 'puter on).
always worked well...
but FF doesn't do it if i just leave it alone.
i have it set to load a session manager session (called "startup"), and it opens the tabs, but.....
until i click on each tab individually, it won't load anything in the background. =/
i realize this is prolly programmatic behavior and not a setting i can do anything about, but.......
just thought i'd check before i go back to Chrome.
any ideas?

hello paradive, this behaviour was originally introduced in order to increase the startup-time of firefox but you can easily change that - go to firefox > options > tabs and disselect ''"Don't load tabs until selected"''
